Sarantos: retired naval captain, skilled sailor and fisherman, father to three sons.

Alina: noblewoman, musician and singer who swore an oath of chastity to better serve her goddess Athena. She had three handmaidens that she treated as daughters.

Kyril: soon-to-be heir of his father’s forge. Master blacksmith and stonemason.

Daphne: exceptionally skilled weaver, daughter of a noble family. When her family tragically died she devoted her time to make a beautiful tapestry for them before planning to join them herself (either that or she would be forced to marry some landowner she didn’t love). When her work was finished Athena praised her and asked her to serve her so she may regain purpose.

Yes, he definitely assumed a more humanoid shape for convenience/to fit in, but it severely inhibits the extend of his abilities and unraveling the compact form is very complicated. In the real form he of course has access to more stingers (all of which he has full control over in terms of movement (can’t control the stinging)), but also is light enough to use the air/water to float or propel himself forward. Both in free and compact form he’s able to stretch his limbs to twice their lengths.

His real form looks like a human nervous system, though for him sensitivity is extremely limited.

His eyes can move in any direction, even being able to see through the back of his see-through head.

His body is dependent on water instead of blood, which is why he rejuvenates by submerging in a float tank in his room, along with carrying a water bottle everywhere.

Lastly, he has a mouth at the bottom of his ‘umbrella’, but it’s strictly for eating. He speaks via a minor second quirk of telepathy that functions the same as normal speaking, just inside people’s heads.

I wish i could give a more precise answer but i think my artstyle is a bit of an amalgamation of every cool artist’s style I’ve ever seen, like most people, though I’ve always loved sketchy-type styles cause they seem more raw and alive. Since Bloodborne came out ive been a big fan of concept art and illustrations, mostly for video games

I really love your artstyle, from the amazing expressions (especially the peeved/angry ones) to the scribbly lineart. As someone that’s trying to learn to draw more digitally, I really like to observe your stuff o.o

Your Moldy Family comics are funny, cozy, sweet and comforting all at the same time, and they made me discover and appreciate Eveline (oh man I love how much of a goth tween she is), and the way you draw Heisenberg (his physicality if that makes sense, his clothes, his hair, his everything) is just *chef’s kiss*.

As a former Greek Mythology child, that AU is so so nice owagh. I love all the monster adaptations/designs, it’s all so clever: I love that Kyril is scaley, hairy AND has wings (which I feel aren’t depicted often nowadays with gorgons), Alina is so majestic, with the black tipped limbs and the blood soaked dress, and the daughters being harpies/sirens(?) is also so perfect.

Idk if you’ve already said it, but what is it about Karl’s character that made him interesting to you?

I miss drawing the mold family but i think my forte has always been fantasy, especially cause i love mythology more than anything. That’s not to say i wont go back to the modern mold family though

For greek au karl i wanted him to look like someone had haphazardly stuck animal parts to him so it’d look deliberately unnatural for him to have a relatively normal human body under all that-

I’m not sure i can fully describe why Karl is so interesting. Surface level, being voiced by Neil Newbon is always a big plus and his face model Joel Hicks is awesome-looking. His character design matches his abilities and personality really well, and speaking of personality, queer-coded villains who make a big show out of everything are always going to be my favourite. His gritty, masculine aesthetic is really inspiring in terms of gender as well. On a deeper level, in spite of all the terrible things he’s done, i find him sympathetic and relatable. After decades spent in a highly dysfunctional family, not living on his own terms, completely alone, I need him to finally be okay and get better for his own sake, with the support of people he trusts. It’s the same reason i love Eveline. Morally dark-grey characters who deserved better and could’ve gotten better with a good support system.

Sarantos was a renowned sailor and fisherman who could navigate the seas with ease in spite of Poseidon’s terrible mood swings. He was the first human who made the mistake of coming to Pallas’ archipelago (the islands were extremely fertile and lush, so this was bound to happen sooner or later), even daring to fish in her disembowelled stomach (now a grand lake). Athena punished him by turning him into a giant fish whose mouth functioned as a whirlpool. In this state he ate the boat he arrived on and his sons who were on board as he forgot everything he was before. This was 2000 yrs before Elias came to the island.
