A non-serious, but fun little elaboration on my previous headcanon about slugcats being primarily mustelids: slugcats with real mustelid patterns! Apparently people were doing the same thing a while ago using real cat patterns, so I wanted to try my own spin on it and see how it would look! Plus it was nice to practice more dynamic poses with these guys, especially quadruped ones.
Sorry I haven't posted as much as I meant to; this took a LOT longer than I expected. But I think the result is pretty cute, and I honestly enjoyed realizing the similar color patterns in all these animals!
Which one is your favorite? I think I like the black-footed ferret best!
Also, non-patterned alt below:

The love given to the first piece inspired me to do another one with more flags!
ID: a digital drawing that features seven members of the Mustelidae family, colored with the palettes of different pride flags. From left to right and top to bottom: a wolverine with the theme of the intersex pride flag, behind it, there are purple and yellow circles; a chinese ferret-badger with the genderqueer pride flag colors, and some sparkly onomatopoeias in the same colors; a black-footed ferret colored with the genderfluid pride flag, a heart in blue, pink and white and a line with the flag colors besides it; a river otter with the aroace pride flag colors, as well as exclamation onomatopoeias; a steppe polecat in the demiboy pride flag colors, a crown and a heart over his head; a striped polecat colored with the demigirl pride colors, which also has a little crown and a heart around; lastly, an american badger colored in the queer flag, and holding a little one. End ID.

Baby mustelids, and mustelid-adjacent babies!
Top right are two American badgers, one with double canines, and one with baby teeth. Below them, a river otter, an adolescent ferret, and a baby mink.
On the right, top is a baby raccoon, then a juvenile mongoose, and finally a baby striped skunk! Not mustelids, but cousins, ish.
Closeups are the mink and skunk.

Animal of the Day!
Javan Ferret-Badger (Melogale orientalis)
Conservation Status- Least Concern
Habitat- Indonesia
Size (Weight/Length)- 2 kg; 40 cm
Diet- Bird eggs; Small mammals; Insects; Fruits
Cool Facts- The Javan ferret-badger is a mustelid native to very select regions of rainforest throughout Java and Bali. Small groups of these ferret-badgers seek out empty burrows to make their home but are capable of digging out their own tunnel system. Being mostly carnivorous, the Javan ferret-badger generally hunts on the ground but is capable of scaling extremely tall trees when searching for eggs and fruit. These little dudes are quick to adapt and often raid picnic sites and garbage cans in National Parks. Indonesia is heavily populated by humans, resulting in habitat destruction and agriculture but the Javan ferret-badger is as comfortable living in a city as it is in the rainforest.
Rating- 11/10 (The perfect mask for the perfect bandit.)

For domestic asks: 22 and 23?
Hhhhh More Domestic brainrot I LOVE YOU thankyou very much!!!
Sense you didn't ask a specific ship I am going to default to Mariocest. Again
Asks from Here
22. Weirdest hobby the other endures?
Mario's a furry. He got into it in Middle School, made himself a Fursona, commissioned art of it, the whole thing. He does not have a fursuit, however, because he can't afford one. Yet.
Luigi, around the same time Mario first joined the Furry community online, got into anime. Unlike Mario, however, ended up growing out of his weeb phase and leaving it (mostly) behind him.
Being a Furry isn't exactly a weird hobby, but Luigi really relates it more to their Cringe Middle School ages, so to him it's weird. He's never outright mean about it, just takes the shots he's handed.
23. Food one hates and their partner loves?
Luigi can eat anything. Probably actually literally. Hand him something and tell him to eat it, he'll do it without even looking at it. Uncle Tony's gotten him to eat all sorts of random objects including and not limited to; A small piece of the drywall, a napkin with some pasta sauce on it, two nickles, several rocks, a nut off his dad's car, and 3 white chess pieces (two pawns and a knight)
Mario's a little picker. We know he's not a big fan of mushrooms, it's mostly the texture, he's also kinda weird about eggs, avocado in any form, mashed potatoes, and most leafy greens.
He's also not as big a sweet tooth as Luigi. Not that he doesn't like desserts, just not as much as his brother. On the flip Luigi's not a "could eat delivery pizza for every meal for three months" kind of guy like Mario.
