I love that only like about 10% of the tumblr polls I've seen have been legitimate surveys of people's opinion. man i hate apple i feel like 99.9% of the misunderstanding around community labels could be solved by just having the default setting for mature-labelled content be "blur" instead of "hide" but the fucking app store policy on mature UGC is literally:

If your app includes user-generated content from a web-based service, it may display incidental mature “NSFW” content, provided that the content is hidden by default and only displayed when the user turns it on via your website.

and i'm certain they know, they know that the majority of people don't change settings for things. but they're apple and it's their app store, and the number of people using iOS is too high to ignore, and the only browser (currently) available on iOS is quite frankly the worst one still in common usage, so your options are:

shoot yourself in the foot financially by not having an iOS app (after having already shot yourself in the other foot by starting a social network in the first place)

comply with apple's decree and make your entire platform behave the way they want it to

sucks man.

see, i think boops should be a forever feature BUT i also think they should be limited as a forever feature (rather than a one day gimmick, where going balls to the wall makes more sense) so you can only do two or three per hour. not because i mind the boop spam (its great) but bc the IDEAL version of the feature would make it so you can tell your friends and mutuals and such "im saying hi ^_^" and if there are too many the message will be harder to get across. however i do think on april fools unlimited boops should be allowed, even in conjunction with future gimmicks. thats my opinion.

once again i am asking tumblr to hold public polls for users to vote on potential changes. imagine if you were the 'respect our users opinion website'. like that could be us but apparently not.

If you receive an anon, you still won't know who has sent it, but tumblr does! This will help them deal with abuse reports. I'm sorry this change is coming so late, but I'm thrilled for people who will benefit from it

The fic by Rockity Sock is still an unpublished WIP so far, but it's really nice and will hopefully be completed and published later.

It begins at the end of the Ultimate Enemy episode, with Dan getting trapped in the thermos. And... I'm not sure how much I can say without spoiling it, but a lot of really cool stuff happens. It's a psychological type of fic, about different types of prisons and punishments, and has time stuff and pocket dimensions, and redemption stuff. (I was only planning on drawing one illustration for IB, but when I saw the WIP, I wanted to see so many things animated. So many awesome visuals. I wish I could've animated them all.)

This is the part I did animate:

He just walked for now, searching for the tiniest crack. The darkness went on for seemingly forever though, and no matter how far he walked it kept on going Dan kept moving He tried his best to break through the walls but every ectoblast he formed fizzled out. Fading into the darkness. Oh, now it makes sense. His powers are being limited, it takes him a few more tries to believe it. The fact that he’s trapped with nothing whatsoever. Endless hours spent, and wasted. Powers he has built up from the ground with no mentor, ones he trained endlessly after a decade. Gone, disappeared, muffled. Limited. Dan let out a laugh, one with no humor. A laugh that turned into a cackle, he couldn’t stop.
