🌼 07.04.2024 // It's the beginning of my two-weeks revision period before my exams and I started with 3 hours of pharmacognosy (even tho I hate that subject). It went slowly but surely and I reviewed the basics.
I made pancakes to motivate me to study on a (rainy) sunday (and it worked, they were delicious!!) and took some pictures of the flowers in my garden :))

20. which sport is The Sport in your country?
Oh definitively football, it’s almost annoying tbh, since a lot of fans behave poorly at times, and there needs to policing at every game. Plus, other sports don’t get as much attention, which means less funding/support. It is what it is tho. And I’ll admit, I really enjoy watching our national team play :)
28. does your country have a lot of lakes, mountains, rivers? do you have favourites?
Yesss, we have a variety of landscapes, beaches, mountains, plains, etc. Some places I loved: S. Martinho do Porto, Peniche (Cabo Carvoeiro), the Minho region… when/if I get my drivers license, I’d love to go on a road trip all over the country :)

11. favourite native writer/poet?
That would be Fernando Pessoa. He was a 20th century poet/writer/translator, etc., and part of the Portuguese Modernist movement. Since he wrote under several heteronyms, his work is really multifaceted! My favourite heteronym is Ricardo Reis, heavily influenced by Epicureanism and Stoicism. Here’s an excerpt of a favourite poem of mine :)
Amemo-nos tranquilamente, pensando que podíamos, (Let’s love one another tranquilly, thinking we could,)
Se quiséssemos, trocar beijos e abraços e caricias, (If we wanted to, trade kisses and hugs and caresses)
Mas que mais vale estarmos sentados ao pé um do outro (But that we might just sit together)
Ouvindo correr o rio e vendo-o. (Listening and watching the river flow)

Very! I have some history books on my shelves that I can’t wait to dive into when I have time! History was my favourite subject in high school, actually!

Hmmm, do I even have one? Here’s a meme one, there was this man on the news once, there was a forest fire near his house, the journalist interviewing him said the fire was almost at his house and he replied “Yeah, yeah I know, and I have to go, I have an appointment at 5” (!!!), and he winked at the camera! Makes me laugh just thinking about it tbh. So now whenever I joke about leaving an uncomfortable situation it’s just “Yeah gotta go, I’ve a 5pm appointment *wink*”

-> had lunch with my family
-> bought a b-day gift for a friend (also bought some books!! i have talked about some i think, but To Paradise, The Possessed and The War of the Worlds are new new)
-> speaking of books, my Danish book has arrived!! i wasn't aware there was another one i could get for starters so i got the 2nd one 🫠 it'll be fine right? duoling can teach me enough right?
-> went to said friend's birthday party and had a lot of fun (won the uno no mercy game 💪 but lost cards against humanity miserably 😹)

made some stupid mistakes during the exam, but it's ok. as long as i pass it's ok ;-;
-> studied SD (last revisions)
-> had lunch with my friends in the park since the weather has been so good
-> volleyball practice (total: 2h00, 8/10)
-> made some more progress with Klara and the Sun
