Dora Mireya Grayson could never complain about her life, she was a happy ten-year-old child in all respects.
She had a family, a big family, loving and friendly, like in fairy tales.
An amazing dad with a warm smile and a gentle light of love in his green eyes, he cooked her pancakes with apples and lovingly pressed her to him on a cozy sofa.
Wonderful Uncle Leo, who always ruffled her hair with a caress and called her his little toffee.
Loving grandparents, Avia Sally kissed her on the forehead and stroked her hair, always treated Dora to something delicious, Avus Paul rolled her on his shoulders while they walked in the park and read bedtime stories.
And a whole army of loving uncles and aunts who regularly came to visit them.
Aunt Reina and Aunt Hazel with avunculus Frank were her personal favorites.
School where kind teachers always taught something new and there were good friends with whom she ran and played during the break.
And there were many other good things in her life, starting from the beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the sky of New Rome and ending with strawberries in Camp half-blood.
But there was still sadness and longing in her life — Jason Alexander Grace, her second father.
When she asked about him, the atmosphere and people always changed dramatically, Aunt Piper went to the bathroom, where she climbed in for 40 minutes and came back with red eyes.
Dad became invariably sad and began to talk quietly about what a good man her father and his lover were, in the end he always cried.
Avunculus Frank was getting tense and sighing heavily, went to smoke on the balcony, from where the angry and upset sounds of various animals parted.
Aunt Hazel just hugged her.
Her second father, Jason Alexander Grace was a good man Who died heroically, Dora Mireya Grayson was his daughter born exactly 9 months after his death, whose eyes were blue like his, never knew him anyway loved and she would give her left arm to see him just once.
[This is just a brief sketch, in which much did not fit].
This makes me not okay. Jason look what you could have had----

Comfort People, Pt... something
Jeff Goldblum
Tumblr media
Ed Begley Jr: Jeff is the mayor of Hollywood.
Tumblr media
Taika Waititi (on Goldblum's voice): It’s the sound of the Pegasus in the last moments before it takes flight, just as the hooves are lightly caressing some soft, wet moss and slowly lifting off the turf.
Tumblr media
Vivica A. Fox: He has a way of melting the panties off. He really does, because he’s very sensuous. When he talks to you, he loves to touch your hand or rub your back. And you’re like, “Okay, did I just get seduced?”
Tumblr media
Glenn Close: Jeff is charm personified. The demented smile, the verbal agility, the jerky yet somehow graceful way he moves. A lot of arm stuff. The most charming thing of all? That he’s a wonderful husband and father.
Tumblr media
Laura Dern: Everyone from my grandma to Steven Spielberg to the psychic who said that there was a ghost living in his dining table would say the same thing: He makes you so damn happy to be alive.
Tumblr media
Nick Offerman: If Jeff says “Thank you. Have a nice day,” there’s a natural timbre that he can’t even control that vibrates the pelvic bone of whomever he’s making eye contact with.
Tumblr media
Paul Rudd: There’s a twinkle in Jeff’s eye and something in the way that he just delivers whatever it is that he’s saying that make you want to enjoy the joke as much as he seems to be enjoying it himself. He’s so engaged and alive in the moment.
Tumblr media
Waititi: Jeff’s like a delicate flower. And we, his fans, are the sunlight that keeps him alive. He doesn’t go out in the sun. The reason he’s so tanned is from all the adoration.
Tumblr media
Liam Hemsworth: We’d get into an elevator, and by the end of that elevator ride, he would have made at least three or four women in there be Jeff Goldblum lovers. He does it so quickly and in such a subtle, non-threatening way that it’s just amazing to watch. He’ll just disarm them before they can even think twice about what’s happening. Often it’ll have something to do with what they’re wearing or their shoes or their nail polish.

Jesus did a mighty and miraculous work in Paul. It is amazing to think about Paul's course and how he lived newly and faithfully for God. Paul served the LORD Jesus Christ from the moment Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus and up until his death, beheaded by Emperor Nero.
Paul wrote 2 Timothy from his jail cell shortly before he died. He knew he had finished his course and finished it well. He had suffered for the Gospel and had never forsaken Jesus. Paul knew he would be rewarded for being faithful to Christ and serving Him continually. Like Paul, we need to strive to live for Jesus until we reach the finish line. May God give us the strength to stick with the course He has set for us. We must be mindful to never turn back or get distracted. As Christians, we want to serve Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ until our last breath just like Paul did. May God strengthen our faith and courage and work through us daily. Keep the faith and keep moving forward in your walk with Jesus!
Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Word and for sending His Holy Spirit so that we might have His grace, not only to awaken us and transform our hearts in our spiritual rebirth and guarantee our eternity with Him, but to also call upon Him whenever we are in need. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all the reminders of His love and mercy and faithfulness within His Holy Word. He is bigger than any challenge or circumstance in our lives. Knowing this within our minds and our hearts, nothing can deter our faith in Him and His Truth. May we all accept Him and His eternal gift of salvation and ask that He would transform our hearts and lives according to His will and ways. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Spirit who saves, seals and leads us. May we always thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His almighty power and saving grace. For He is our strength, and He alone is able to save us, forgive our sins and gift us eternal salvation and entry into His Kingdom of Heaven.
May we make sure that we give our hearts and lives to God and take time to seek and praise Him and share His Truth with the world daily. May the LORD our God and Father in Heaven help us to stay diligent and obedient and help us to guard our hearts in Him and His Holy Word daily. May He help us to remain faithful and full of excitement to do our duty to Him and for His glorious return and our reunion in Heaven as well as all that awaits us there. May we never forget to thank the LORD our God and our Creator and Father in Heaven for all this and everything He does and has done for us! May we never forget who He is, nor forget who we are in Christ and that God is always with us! What a mighty God we serve! What a Savior this is! What a wonderful Lord, God, Savior and King we have in Jesus Christ! What a loving Father we have found in Almighty God! What a wonderful God we serve! His will be done!
Thanks and glory be to God! Blessed be the name of the LORD! Hallelujah and Amen!

PS I love you (AO3)
written for @tarlosweeklyprompts word of the day: Letter
TK gets a letter from Gwyn on his wedding day
---
TK never really understood when people called their wedding day the best day of their lives. Sure, he supposed it would be a good day, and definitely one to remember… but the best? That just seemed over dramatic.
That was until his own wedding day.
He’s married now. Officially mister Tyler Kennedy Strand – Reyes. The new name is kind of a mouth full and he overheard his dad ordering his new uniform and explaining that yes that really is the name, and yes he knows it’s long, but yes it still has to go on the shirt.
He knows it’s supposed to be a surprise for when he goes back to work after the honeymoon, and he’ll be sure to act surprised when he gets it, but he’s already picturing himself wearing his new name on his chest.
The reception is in full swing and everyone is enjoying themselves. Carlos is dancing with his sister, TK himself had danced with Andrea earlier, and he’s pretty sure he hasn’t stopped smiling since he woke up that morning.
And he can say without a doubt, it’s the best day of his life.
“Hey husband.” Carlos sits back down next to him and kisses him while entwining their fingers.
TK smiles and looks down at their hands, giving himself a minute to admire their carefully selected wedding bands.
“Hi husband. We did it. Finally.”
“We did.” Carlos replies. “Are you happy?”
“Never been happier.”
“Same here.”
“Even though we didn’t get the perfect wedding at our dream venue?”
“I don’t care. I got to marry you, that makes it a perfect day.” Carlos vows and emphasises his words with a kiss.
“Yeah? So this is better than your first wedding?” TK asks, doing his best to keep a straight face.
Carlos groans and drops his head on his shoulder.
“Don’t. You know that wasn’t anything like this. I was so unhappy back then.” He sighs and stares at their guests on the dancefloor. “It was just me and Iris at city hall and the mail guy and a cleaner as witnesses.”
“I know baby, I was just messing with you.” TK says and kisses the top of his head.
“I just want to forget about that day. This is the only wedding worth remembering. The only one that counts.” He lifts his head and grabs two glasses of sparkling cider from the table in front of them, handing one to TK. “To us.”
TK clinks his glass against Carlos’ and takes a sip.
“To us. To our future.”
They sit and watch their friends and family enjoy themselves for a while.
Paul is twirling Tommy’s twins around the dancefloor, Wyatt is dancing with Carlos’ sister, Enzo and Judd are entertaining the kids in a quieter corner, while Grace is dancing with Nancy and Marjan, and Iris and Mateo are in the middle of a very serious looking conversation.
“Have you seen my dad anywhere?” TK asks, scanning the room for a sign of Owen.
“I saw him dancing with my mom earlier I think.” Carlos replies, finding it hard to look anywhere but at his new husband. “I’m sure he’s fine. I bet he’s just outside getting some air.”
“Yeah.” TK agrees and lets Carlos lead him back to the dancefloor. He lets himself get lost in the music and Carlos’ embrace.
Later, when the party is starting to die down and Carlos is talking to Paul, TK goes in search of his father and finds him outside with Buttercup.
“Here you are. I was beginning to think you’d left already.”
“Of course not. I never leave a party early, especially not my son’s wedding.”
TK smiles and sits down, scratching Buttercup behind his ears.”
“So why are you out here on your own then?”
“Oh I just took Buttercup for a quick walk. It’s a nice night so we stayed out here and watched the stars for a while.”
“Dad…”
“No, I’m ok TK. I’m happy you’re happy. I’m happy you just married this amazing guy who, lets be real, worships the ground you walk on.”
The smile on TK’s face gets even bigger.
“The feeling is mutual. I don’t know what I did to deserve him… but he’s mine now and I’m never letting him go.”
“Good. What you two have is special. You need to hold onto that. Unlike what me and your mother did.”
“What do you think mom would say about today?” TK asks after a while.
Owen smiles.
“She’d be so happy and so proud. Just like I am.” He says and takes something out of the inside pocket of his suit jacket. “This is from your mother. I’m not sure when she wrote it… but she left it to me to give to you on your wedding day.” He hands TK an envelope. “Do you want me to go get Carlos?”
“No… that’s ok.” TK says, turning the envelope over in his hands. It’s a plain white envelope with his name written on it in his mother’s familiar handwriting. Nothing special but at the same time the most precious gift he’s been given all day.
“I wasn’t sure when to give it to you… or if I should give it to you today at all.” Owen admits. “I didn’t want to ruin your wedding. You’ve been so happy all day.”
“I still am.” TK assures him. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I just… wasn’t expecting this.”
“Your mother always was full of surprises.” Owen says with a wistful smile. “Do you want me to leave you alone while you read it?”
TK shakes his head and carefully opens the envelope, letting its contents drop in his lap. He picks up the letter and quickly scans it.
“She wrote this when she took me to California. For rehab.”
Dear TK.
My sweet boy.
If you’re reading this, that means today is your wedding day. It’s your wedding day and everything turned out alright.
I just had to leave you at the airport. We flew across the country to get you the help you need, and I know, deep down, you want this as much as I do. It will be hard but sweetheart, I know you can do it.
I hope that today, when you read this, you’ll look back on today, the day I’m writing this, and think of how far you’ve come.
I hope you’ve found an amazing man who loves you the way you deserve to be loved. Someone you can laugh and cry with. Someone good and honest. Someone you can rely on and who relies on you in return. Someone who will put you first. Your best friend.
Someone who will get up a little earlier to make you coffee. Someone who will watch your favourite movie with you and listen to your commentary. Someone who will teach you how to cook a real meal, because darling, you can’t live on firehouse food forever.
But most of all, I hope that when you read this, you’re happy. That you’re living the life you deserve and that all of this is just a bad memory. I know you can do it sweetheart.
The rest of your life starts today.
 Mom X
PS: I love you.
TK wipes at his eyes as he rereads the letter.
“I love you too mom.” He whispers. “I wish you were here.” His hand goes to his neck and he pulls out the star of David necklace Carlos had given him as an early wedding present a few days ago. He’d had it made out of a brooch his mom used to wear and it had become one of TK’s most prized possessions.
“She’s always here.” Owen says and puts a hand over his heart. “And I’m sure she’s looking out for you from up there.”
TK gives him a watery smile and goes to put the letter back in the envelope, only to find another note in there.
My sweet boy,
It’s the middle of the night right now, and I’m looking up at the Texas sky while your father’s dog sleeps at my feet. A lot has happened recently, and I’m flying back to New York in a few days. But despite everything going on, I leave knowing you’re alright.
I met your Carlos for the first time a few weeks ago, and darling, I don’t think you know it yet, but I’m sure you’ve found the one.
I see the way he looks at you, the way his eyes light up when you walk in the room. The way he puts up with me and your father just so he can be near you.
I see the way you smile when he’s around, or even when someone mentions his name. I haven’t seen you smile like that in so long and I’ve missed it.
If your father followed my instructions you’re reading this on your wedding day, and I hope it’s the best day of your life. I think I know who your groom will be and I think he will make sure you’ll be smiling so much your cheeks will hurt by the end of the day.
I know you’ve had your heart broken and I know opening it up again can be scary, but I believe Carlos will cherish it the way he cherishes all of you.
If I can’t be there in person, don’t be sad. Think of the good times we shared and know I’ll always be with you, no matter what.
Happy wedding day sweetheart.
Mom X
PS: I love you.

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN DUNE 2!
So I watched Dune 2 yesterday and it was beyond amazing. Firstly let me say that if I could have a baby sandworm that would be so cool! and I would keep it in my backyard in the dirt to let it eat bad people that would try to get me. XD
Secondly, I thought the fight scene with Baustista and Paul's master could have been longer than just a few hits. I honestly think that if someone was wanting revenge, it would be more of a bigger fight.
Than just a few whip whacks and a stab with a knife. I know that it's not a huge part of the story (I'm assuming)
I do not like Paul's mom at all, she just rubs me the wrong way. I do not hate her just to simply hate on this woman. I don't like the choices that she made. just making that clear, even though I love the actress that plays her.
The kiss between uncle and nephew, I was like DAMNNNNNNN okay they are that kind of family. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and then I understood why then was like "okay that explains it."
Sandworm riding oh man! watching Paul ride the sandworm had me feeling like I was gonna drowned in sand just from watching it. But it was really cool to see makes me wanna ride one too! But I know I would lose my balance and fall on my face.
The walk cool I like how "graceful" Chani and Paul looked doing it together.
Some parts were hilarious to me, the baby talking to Paul's mom was kind of trippy as hell.
I feel horrible for Chani having to watch Paul take the Emperor's daughter for his own. That kind of sucks to see someone you clearly like/love have to choose someone else for the sake of power and political reasons.
the reunion of teacher and student was sweet it make me smile.
Now the one particular part where Paul is walking with his hood over his head to talk to the group as a whole. It gave off very serious Anakin skywalker's switch to the darkside vibes very heavily, and Order 66.
Now I don't just say this because I am a starwars fan but only (1- 6) not the new ones. Anyways, I say this because it was a serious parallel for me to physically see it happening on screen that sort of slow decent type feel to it.
The biggest shock to me was to find out that Paul and that nasty Baron Harkonen were related! that felt like an ultimate betrayal to me for some reason, I guess it was because I loved the relationship between Paul and his father Leto. But I was literally like
"Okay, you mean to tell me, that Paul has been related to this guy the entire time! so initially he is killing his own people?! WTF type of twisted shit is this! Jessica, you have some serious issues woman you need some therapy! "
The other witch woman, that also shocked me that she was the one who actually planned the whole thing with the death of Atreides. That was... I have no words for that one.
Rautha was creepy as hell but in a good bad guy sort of way. And his knives oh man, as someone who collects knives and loves knives myself.... I want his knives!
All in all I loved the movie sadly, though where I watched the movie did not have the sandworm popcorn bucket. so no sandworm for me, but that is okay it was still worth going and still worth seeing.
Well done Timmy I am proud of you again for making something brilliant and being a revolving master of your craft. Kudos to you sir. This one is a MUST see.

“For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” —2 Corinthians 6:2 (ESV)
“Paul has warned those in Corinth not to receive God's grace in vain. This refers to how they respond to hearing the message, not a suggestion that God's grace cannot save them. In other words, they are cautioned to accept the gospel of reconciliation with God through faith in Christ alone and nothing else. It's possible some in Corinth were being influenced by false teachers. They were trapped in counterfeit versions of the gospel that may have included legalism under the Old Testament law, or continuing to worship idols.
Paul uses a quote from Isaiah 49:8 to remind the Corinthians that this invitation to be reconciled to God through Christ is a limited time offer. God told Isaiah that He had heard the prophet in a favorable time and helped him in a day of salvation.
Paul insists that for those who would be heard and helped by God through faith in Christ, now is the favorable time and the day of salvation. God never speaks to someone to tell them to be saved "someday." He does not call on people to delay, but to turn to Christ right now.
Not every time or every day will be open for salvation. Mostly, that's because nobody knows how many days they have left in life (James 4:14). Eventually, time runs out and eternity begins. Paul may also have in mind the return of Christ and the day of judgment (1 Thessalonians 5:2). When the end comes—by death or apocalypse—it will be too late to be reconciled to God. Paul does not want his readers to hesitate to put their full faith in Christ for salvation.” (Bibleref.com)
“Now Is The Time Of Salvation”
A. Not tomorrow, not next month, not next year. Now.
B. Just now, one more time God is giving you an opportunity to receive His grace. You will either accept or reject. If you reject, there is no guarantee that there will ever be another opportunity.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing grace and for that wonderful 'day of salvation' when Jesus rose from the dead and broke the power of Satan, sin, death, and hell. Lord, no one knows how many days they have left on the earth. Please bring many who are in that valley of decision, to a saving faith in Christ, before it is too late. Because now is the accepted time and today is the day of salvation. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.” 🙏

Brown Girl 'Herstory:' Iconic comic and actress Jackie "Moms" Mabley was born on this date in 1894.
The woman who would become known as famed comedian Moms Mabley was born Loretta Mary Aiken in Brevard, North Carolina, on March 19, 1894 (some sources say 1897), to a large family. She experienced a horrifying, traumatic childhood. Her firefighter father was killed in an explosion when she was 11 and her mother was later hit and killed by a truck on Christmas Day. And by the beginning of her teens, Aiken had been raped twice and become pregnant from both encounters, with both children being given away.
Aiken left home at the age of 14 and pursued a show business career, joining the African-American vaudeville circuit as a comedian under the Theatre Owners Booking Association. Fellow performer Jack Mabley became her boyfriend for a short time, and she took on his name, becoming Jackie Mabley, with "Moms" coming from her eventual reputation as a mentoring, mothering spirit.
By the early 1920s she had begun to work with the duo Butterbeans & Susie, and eventually became an attraction at the Cotton Club. Mabley entered the world of film and stage as well, working with writer Zora Neale Hurston on the 1931 Broadway show "Fast and Furious: A Colored Revue in 37 Scenes" and taking on a featured role in Paul Robeson's "Emperor Jones" (1933).
Starting in the late 1930s, Mabley became the first woman comedian to be featured at the Apollo, going on to appear on the theater's stage more times than any other performer. She returned to the big screen as well with "The Big Timers" (1945), "Boarding House Blues" (1948), and the musical revue "Killer Diller" (1948), which featured Nat King Cole and Butterfly McQueen.
Mabley's standup routines were riotous affairs augmented by the aesthetic she presented as being an older, housedress-clad figure who provided sly commentary on racial bigotry to African-American audiences. Her jokes also pointed towards a lusty zest for younger men. Yet, belying that persona, offstage she had a glamorous, chic look and was known to have relationships with women.
Mabley began a recording career with her Chess Records debut album "The Funniest Woman Alive," which became gold-certified. Subsequent albums like "Moms Mabley at the Playboy Club," "Moms Mabley at the UN" and "Young Men, Si - Old Men, No" continued to broaden Mabley's reach (she ultimately recorded many albums). She landed spots on some of the top variety shows of the day, including "The Ed Sullivan Show," and graced the stage of Carnegie Hall.
Mobley had a starring role in the 1974 picture "Amazing Grace," which she was able to complete despite having a heart attack during filming. She died on May 23, 1975, in White Plains, New York.
Actress Clarice Taylor, who portrayed Bill Cosby's mother on "The Cosby Show" and was a major fan of Mabley's work, staged the 1987 play "Moms" at the Astor Place Theater, in which she portrayed the trailblazing icon. Fellow comedian Whoopi Goldberg made her directorial debut with the documentary "Moms Mabley: I Got Somethin' to Tell You," which was presented at the Tribeca Film Festival and aired on HBO in 2013.
See the comments for a performance from "Amazing Grace" and "Moms" singing her hit song, "Abraham, Martin and John," recorded in 1969.

Truths to Live By - One Day at a Time
Tumblr media
by William MacDonald
“Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” – Isaiah 51:11
In its setting, this prophecy of Isaiah looked forward to the joyous return of God’s chosen people from their seventy-year captivity in Babylon.
It may also refer to Israel’s still-future restoration when the Messiah will regather them to the land from all over the world. That too will be a time of great jubilation.
But in its widest sense, we are justified in applying the verse to the rapture of the Church. Awakened by the shout of the Lord, the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God, the bodies of the redeemed of all the ages will rise from the grave. Living believers, changed in a moment, will join them as they ascend to meet the Lord in the air. Then begins the grand processional to the Father’s house.
It is quite possible that the entire route will be flanked by angelic hosts. At the head of the procession will be the Redeemer Himself, flushed with His glorious victory over death and the grave. Then come the ransomed throng, some from every tribe, tongue, people and nation. Ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands, they are singing with all musical perfection, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”
Every one in the multitude is a trophy of God’s wonderful grace. Each was ransomed from sin and shame, and made a new creature in Christ Jesus. Some went through deep suffering for their faith, others laid down their lives for the Savior. But now all the scars and mutilations are gone, and the saints have their deathless, glorified bodies.
Abraham and Moses are there, David and Solomon. There are the beloved Peter, James, John and Paul. Martin Luther, John Wesley, John Knox and John Calvin are there. But they are no more conspicuous now than God’s hidden ones, unknown on earth, yet well-known in heaven.
Now the saints are marching into the King’s palace. Sorrow and sighing are gone forever, and everlasting joy is on their heads. Faith has become sight and hope has received its long-awaited consummation. Loved ones greet each other with fervent embraces. Overflowing gladness prevails. Everyone is awed by the amazing grace that has brought them from the depths of sin to such heights of glory.

Rambling thoughts as I rewatch 4x09 “Road Kill”
I thought it would be a younger version of herself from the promo & Natacha’s interview before the episode aired – BUT – I FUCKING LOVE how they did it. This is my favorite of all the ‘begins’ episodes from both 9-1-1 & LS
“Is that Marjan?” x3 – trying to figure out if the 2 Paul ones were the same one and the edited it weird or if it was in the script that he said it twice
You helped with that Tumor cake Marj.
I love that he doesn’t believe that she sold the bike & got $200 more.
So not subtle about the party – but these people are so happy to get her back and I love it.
Acts of service really is her love language
I love that the girl made it out of her relationship – I also love how they showed her doubts – that was so real. It isn’t easy leaving bad relationships – but in the end she overcame her fear – with the help of Marj.
The season of sisters – so funny. I am trying to figure out who is next – We know that Grace has 2 (Sierra’s irl sisters), Carlos has 2, and Marjan has at least 1.
As someone that performed in those 4-hour recitals – I agree -they get long and tedious – but can be absolutely adorable and hysterical at the same time.
This is actual a pretty decent spread – but yeah – that is kinda a lot of canapes
You are ALWAYS extra
They are so fucking adorable – they definitely dodged an LED bullet
Once again – they kill it with the music.
The thing about the red car – my guess is from Marjan’s memories – did the Mom crawl out of the car and die, then the father moved to the passenger side of the car? Because Marj was in the back on the drivers side behind her friends Dad. The placement when adult Marj checks them out confused me.
This is her second accident in 2 seasons
How long did she have to sit with her dead best friend and his parents after their accident?
I love her origin story – so much of who she is, why she is who she is, is so beautifully consistent with her character the last 3.5 seasons
We learned so much new info about her
Mateo gets very emotional when the people he loves are in distress – he showed us this in the first season when they found out Owen had cancer, it has continued through out the seasons. It makes sense that he would be as worked up as he is.
Good thing Grace is always at work when they need her
Kinda find it funny that the cop stays at the house while 3 firefighters go investigate.
Sucks for Rick – getting murdered for being a nice guy.
How does this cop NOT see the dead body or blood?
Grant did not cover it up that well
I also thought Grant was for sure going to kill the cop when he started walking back to his car.
The makeup department did an amazing job
TK reliving the events of who knows how long ago – this timeline taunts me daily – from Carlos’ kidnapping and now this
The acting this season has been phenomenal
“I hate to ask you this, but was she the victim or the perpetrator?” Carlos Reyes – I mean, it’s a fair question.
How the fuck did this dude bail himself out? Was the bail amount $5?
I think it is interesting that Marj was called Mouse when she was younger, but how that accident changed how she presented herself. She took her BFF’s mom’s advice and lived her true self – not as someone that was remotely quiet or shy.
This cop wasn’t at all suspicious of this dude? Like didn’t even bother running the plates?
She lost so much blood – I love that she used some of it to put up the ‘126’ on the wall.
Get a sister – Get a killer = season 3 of LS
This whole episode is so well done
“That girl can’t just see the sites like a normal tourist?” Paul ‘exhausted’ Strickland
Of course Grant borrowed his dad’s RV for a trip – guess he just never said how long that trip would be.
Survival instincts are crazy
“Are you a liar?” – child Marjan to Adult Marjan
His constant use of the word ‘friend’ gets super annoying after like the 3rd time he said it.
It is awesome how they had every part of the 126 (with a late cronut assist from Tommy) helping to find Marjan – and similar to 4x04 – Marjan saved herself – but had help in finishing the job
So I guess it is: get a sister – get a killer – save yourself from the killer – your family assists you getting medical help
The scene in the tunnel – The terror in Marjan’s eyes was something I FELT. Not just saw – but FELT
Flare to the neck – nice way for an abusive killer to die
Kinda happy it was extra painful, even if it was quick
Off topic – but I have been watching A LOT of Stranger Things – so the scene of Paul, Judd, and Owen all being on their radios made me laugh and think of the kids/teens (mostly the never-ending story scene)
Now Kylie will never have to look over her shoulder for her abusive ex again.
Owen’s face at the truck after they find the old man’s body – perfect expression of fear and grief.
I am so glad they cut the Nanteo scene in the hospital
Give them development, but this wasn’t the time
Super cute TK sleeping on Carlos
I do hope that they do something with what they have been sorta building up for them
SO FUCKING OVER THE DIET/NEGATIVE FOOD REFERENCES
None of these people do well with R&R – not a single one of them – But I think Grace and Owen are the worst
“It could be that our daughter just don’t got no interest at all” Judd Ryder – good luck buddy
“Who is here for Marjan Marwani” EVERYONE
“Why you guys first? Fine just don’t take too long.” Mateo being the youngest brother.
Another great quotable episode
I did love the reveal of it being a younger Marjan, showing us her parents
This was such a strong episode – from top to bottom, every member of the cast & crew really gave it their all – and it shows.
She looks so small in that hospital bed with her found brother & adopted dad, then her smile when she gets the flowers from her parents – such a great ending scene.
Looking forward to the rest of the season – It just keeps getting better.

Henry ‘Chips’ Channon: The Diaries (Vol. 1), 1918-38, entry for 9th April 1923
Monday 9th April — Hackwood¹
Have been spending a few days here … a simpatico party … Lady Curzon, glittering, gracious and a supreme hostess, all the Duggans;² Lady Patricia Herbert³ (the very nicest girl in London, although Lady Mary Ashley⁴ runs her neck and neck …) … Mrs Vansittart,⁵ an affected American, Paul of Serbia⁶ …. Lord Curzon is away doing a Coué cure⁷ for the benefit of his leg or brow beating some important conference for the welfare of civilisation … I forget which. Lady Curzon told us of a conversation she had with Lord Balfour⁸ a few evenings ago. He was unusually playful and she depressed and discouraged, she is subject to unaccountable fits of Weltschmerz,⁹ which result, I think, from something unsatisfied in her.¹⁰ He tried to console her and talked to her beautifully about life and all she had to live for … her husband, the world’s most striking and brilliant man … her children charming … her friends many … her beauty unsurpassed. Next day he wrote her an inimitable note to say how much he had enjoyed being next to her. She, delighted, said to Lady Cunard¹¹ as she read it: ‘AJB is an angel — I should like to kiss him on the forehead’. Maud repeated this to him and his only comment was: ‘Why the forehead?’ Maud Cunard motored to Hackwood with Serge Obolensky¹² for what she calls ‘the day in the country’ on Sunday. They arrived at six o’clock. She pretended never to have seen plus fours before and said ‘And what has little Paul got on? And Chips¹³ too what are they?’ She made us rock with laughter for two hours with stories about herself and her hatred of the country, etc. She said that all Nancy’s troubles were due to the fact that her father ‘my dear at the age of 12 had put her … put her on a horse, a four-legged horse’. As she was leaving we loaded her car with guns, tennis racquets, golf clubs, etc. She was much flustered at this or pretended to be and shook hands with a footman and ‘bobbed’ to the butler and was amazing but delicious … all pink and white, like a sweet, and dressed in a costume de sport made by Vionnet.¹⁴ Serge was anxious to return as he is wooing Alice Astor.¹⁵ I introduced them … I shall now have this new romance on my conscience.
1. Hackwood Park, near Basingstoke in Hampshire, rented by Lord Curzon from 1906 until 1925.
2. Lady Curzon’s children by her first marriage: Alfred Duggan (1903–64), who became a minor novelist; Hubert Duggan (1904–43), Tory MP for Acton from 1931 to 1943 and anti-appeaser in the 1930s; and (Grace) Marcella Duggan (1907–95).
3. Patricia Herbert (1904–94), by courtesy Lady Patricia Herbert from 1913, daughter of the 15th Earl of Pembroke and 12th Earl of Montgomery, married in 1928 William Henry Smith, 3rd Viscount Hambleden (1903–48). She was a Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Elizabeth from 1937 until 1994.
4. Lady Mary Sibell Ashley-Cooper (1902–36), daughter of the 9th Earl of Shaftesbury, married in 1928 Napier George Henry Sturt (1896–1940), who in 1919 succeeded his father as 3rd Baron Alington of Crichel. He died on active service in Egypt during the Second World War, though of drink rather than in action.
5. Gladys Robinson-Duff (1892–1928), daughter of General William C. Heppenheimer of the United States, married in 1921 Robert Gilbert Vansittart (1881–1957), who would be Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign Office from 1930 to 1938, and who would be raised to the peerage in 1941 as 1st Baron Vansittart. Vansittart was also an accomplished novelist, playwright and poet.
6. Prince Paul of Yugoslavia (1893–1976) had known Channon at Oxford and would remain one of his closest friends, and be Prince Regent of Yugoslavia (the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes) from 1934 to 1941 during the minority of Peter II. He was the nephew of King Peter I and married Princess Olga of Greece and Denmark (1903–97), sister-in-law of Channon’s other closest friend, the Duke of Kent. After treating with the Germans in 1941 Paul was forced from Yugoslavia and forbidden ever to return; the post-war communist regime stripped him of his property and proclaimed him an enemy of the state. Until 1945 the British authorities held him in Kenya under house arrest. Serbia rehabilitated him posthumously in 2011, after which he was reburied with Princess Olga and their son Nicholas.
7. A psychotherapy-based cure featuring auto-suggestion, fashionable but heavily criticised at the time, developed by Émile Coué de la Châtaigneraie (1857–1926), a French psychologist.
8. A. J. Balfour, raised to an earldom in 1922.
9. World-weariness.
10. Curzon was desperate for a male heir (he had three daughters from his first marriage) to the earldom and marquessate he had obtained; various medical procedures had been followed to help Lady Curzon conceive, but no child resulted and the marriage was strained accordingly.
11. Maud Alice Burke (1872–1948), born in San Francisco, married in 1895 Sir Bache Cunard, 3rd Bt (1851–1925), grandson of the shipping line’s founder. They had lived largely apart since 1911, Cunard basing himself in Leicestershire where he enjoyed field sports. In London with their daughter Nancy Clara (1896–1965), Lady Cunard – who after her husband’s death became known as ‘Emerald’ – established one of the leading salons of the era, which thrived until the Second World War. After separating from her husband she became the mistress of Sir Thomas Beecham, the conductor, and funded many of his musical projects.
12. Prince Sergei (‘Serge’) Platonovich Obolensky Neledinsky-Meletsky (1890–1978) had been educated at Oxford and became part of the Russian diaspora after the revolution. He emigrated to America and became a successful businessman.
13. The first time in the diaries that he refers to his nickname.
14. Madeleine Vionnet (1876–1975) was one of Paris’s leading fashion designers of the interwar years.
15. Ava Alice Muriel Astor (1902–56), daughter of John Jacob Astor IV. She and Obolensky married in 1924 and divorced in 1932. She would marry four times before her death at the age of 54.

The attributes of God: Grace
Part 3 How ought we to live in the light of God's grace?
Because God’s grace and blessings lead to eternal life, how then should we be living?
Romans Chapter 6 is a go to chapter for how to live in the light of God's grace.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?i
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Paul here in Romans chapter 6 shows the biblical approach to our lives that we are to live in absolute, loving dedication to God the Father and Jesus Christ.
We do this by walking in obedient faith through grace.
Romans 6:11 Likewise, do not yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin; rather, yield yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
6:12 For sin shall not rule over you, because you are not under law, but under grace.
Now we can clearly see how we are to live our lives before God the Father.
We are to do so as if we were alive from the dead; in willing, loving submission to God,
and to live according to the will and grace of God. You may recall the childhood hymn 'O what can little hands do to please the king of heaven'? In this hymn the child's hands are to be used to meet someone's need, their lips for praise and words of kindness, their eyes for looking up to heaven and reading the bible, and lastly, their little hearts can love their Maker, Saviour, and Friend. Such grace to mine be given! This is an example of using our members (all our faculties and senses) as instruments of righteousness. Such grace also to mine be given!
Ephesians 1:2 Grace and peace be to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly things with Christ.
4. According as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, in order that we might be holy and blameless before Him in love.
5. Having predestinated us for sonship to Himself through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His own will,
6. To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He has made us objects of His grace in the Beloved Son.
7. In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the remission of sins, according to the riches of His grace,
This chapter brings out many facets of God’s glorious GRACE.
Everything that the apostle Paul speaks of in this chapter is part of and is an expression of God the Father’s GRACE through JESUS CHRIST!
Chapter 1 goes on to reveal wonderful blessings to each believer.
Practical Conclusions- how ought we live in the light of God's grace?
Be grateful that God has poured his grace into your life.
Celebrate His amazing grace.
Refuse to live in sin by considering your old man ‘crucified, dead, and buried’.
But rather walk in newness of life and being holy and blameless before Him in love.
Such a lifestyle reflects how wonderful God was/is treating us as the targets/objects of His grace.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…
Remember that the same sufficiency of grace that the Lord supplied Paul with, is ever available to you. The grace of God enables us to overcome sin and enter the victories that Jesus Christ has prepared for us.
The grace of God is our enabler and only comes through Jesus Christ.
Amen
Prayer

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. - Philippians 2:5-8 KJV
In the Common Lectionary, today is dedicated to the Triumph of the Cross. Some may not think of this as a triumph, but Jesus' death on the cross at Calvary was our salvation. For us, this was a triumph.
This Bible passage from the Book of Philippians is also an old Christian hymn and seems to be based on an Old Testament hymn showing the belief of the early Christians that Jesus Christ is the promised and long awaited Messiah. From the beginning of creation and the entrance of sin into the world, the world was waiting for that moment on the cross when Jesus joined His will to the will of the Father in full confidence that His Father would not desert Him. His death opened the gates of Heaven to all of us. Through Satan, sin entered the world, and through the actions of Jesus Christ, all are redeemed. Only Jesus can save and redeem us. Only through Jesus can we see our Heavenly Father and enter Heaven. Only through God's grace can we be spiritually reborn with His gift of eternal salvation. We must humbly confess, repent and believe!
Crucifixion was a terrible way to die; so terrible that only non-Romans were crucified. This is why Paul was beheaded since he was a Roman citizen. The actual cause of death was suffocation. The weight of the body hanging on the cross eventually made it almost impossible to breathe and the lungs filled with fluid. In Jesus' case, the beatings He had sustained earlier had weakened Him considerably and He died sooner than was normal. This is why the soldiers broke the legs of the two thieves hanging with Him, but they didn't break Jesus' legs seeing that he was dead. However, just in case they were wrong, they pierced His chest with a sword. He was willing to die for us so that we might be saved and gifted eternal salvation and eternal life with Him in His Kingdom of Heaven. What are we willing to do to thank Him? Father God Almighty was willing to sacrifice His only begotten Son for all of us. As we reflect on this amazing love He has for us, may we also reflect on the ways in which we can be worthy of this gift He has given us through His love, mercy and grace.
Thank God for His strength and guidance when we are faced with sin and its temptations. Thank Him for His mercy and grace. Through Bible study and prayer, God reveals His wisdom and guides us to see opportunities to grow closer to Him and grow spiritually. He gives us direction to live our lives according to His Holy Word and will. We must make God top priority everyday! May we be motivated to spread God's Holy Word and Gospel Truth to all the Earth, knowing that it is the only hope of all those lost in their sins. Let us not hold out a false hope for men to be saved without the Gospel, but instead endeavor to do our part to get the Gospel out to a lost and dying world. As hymn writer Isaac Watts put it, "Send Thy victorious Word abroad and bring the strangers home!"
Leaning on Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ through prayer and His Holy Word and Spirit strengthens us and our knowledge and wisdom about God and His Gospel Truth, exposing these imposters. May God help us to seek and lean on Him daily to gain the strength, wisdom and spiritual discernment needed to expose Satan and his imposters who seek to destroy us and God's ultimate Truth. Everyday, we must remember to share Jesus Christ's Gospel Truth with the world and to thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for the grace that He poured out for us on the cross at Calvary. He has freed us from the burdens of sin and from the eternal damnation of Hell. In all we say and do, may all praise, honor and glory always be given to Him and His Kingdom of Heaven.
With renewed minds, hearts and wills, let us serve Him humbly and faithfully out of pure love and grateful rejoicing. May He remind us of His presence and to remain at peace, fully knowing that all will be well because He is always with us. Let us seek Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ today and everyday with all our heart and being, looking for His love, light and will for our lives with each step we take. Let us seek to please Him with our thoughts, words, and deeds and seek to advance His Kingdom of Heaven and His glory with our lives. Let us seek Him from a pure and humble heart, and when we so seek, we believe Him and His promise that we will find. May He help us all to be more sensitive to the teaching ministry of His Holy Word and Spirit, relying on Him and allowing Him to speak to us and guide us every step of our Christian journey.
God gave us the Holy Bible - His living and Holy Word - to let us know of Him and His abiding love and care as well as guide and prepare us for all our lives. May He help us encourage one another as we continue our walk with Him and our duty to Him daily. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for being present for all our new beginnings and all our lives. May He redirect any anxiety we feel as He provides countless opportunities for growth and change. May we humble ourselves before God always, asking Him to forgive our sins and make our hearts and lives anew through His Holy Word and Spirit. May He help us make Him and His Holy Word top priority, so we can grow spiritually and grow in our relationship with Him as we apply it to our daily lives. Thank God that we can focus on Him and everything about Him, for that is what keeps us sane and at peace. May our words and actions always be a reflection of Him and His Holy Word and Spirit and will.
May He help us to always walk in His grace and Holy Spirit, not by our own measure. May He give us the humble humility to know that our freedom and eternal salvation is found only in Him, so that His grace may sustain us, and we may never lose sight of His love and light and mercy. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for calling us to Him and to serve Him. May He equip us to do all that He has called us to do so that as He works through us, He may use us to produce fruit, to reach others, and to encourage all brothers and sisters in Christ. May He work all of these things in us and through us for His Kingdom and His glory. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all His creation, for His miraculous ways and for everything He does and has done for us! Keep the faith and keep moving forward in your walk with Jesus! He loves us and He knows what is best for us. Seek, follow and trust in Him - Always!

Sunday Sessions: Jeff Buckley’s Guitar Gear
by JEF STONE 18th Apr 2021
Leave a Commenton Sunday Sessions: Jeff Buckley’s Guitar Gear
In this weeks Sunday Session we look at the late Jeff Buckley's guitar gear.
Jeff Buckley’s Grace album is a tour de force in songwriting and it also features some exceptional guitar playing and recorded guitar tones. In this weeks Sunday Sessions I’m going to go through that gear, and talk about how to grab some of those tones and integrate them into your own rig.
Jeff Buckley
Jeff Buckley’s album Grace is often seen as the perfect debut album by many.
In the early 1990s boutique amplifiers and effects just weren’t a thing. Yet Jeff’s whole album is full of sweet guitar tones and to this day it inspires many guitarists to go seek out those guitar tones.
It features beautiful melodies, amazing song writing and moments of complete abandon on the guitar. What stands out the most for me personally, is the depth of guitar tones on the recordings. With just a small amount of equipment, and none of it particularly fancy, Jeff Buckley created something which still resonates with listeners to this day.
Jeffs Guitars
Most players will be familiar with the 1983 ‘Top Loader’ Fender Telecaster that Jeff wielded as his main guitar, along with a 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom in the classic black finish, which he was also seen using frequently.
Tumblr media
The Norlin Custom
I suspect that once he had the money, he went out and purchased the Norlin era Gibson ’76 Les Paul Custom. We know its neck was completely broken off at one point, as it was repaired in around July 1995 in Amsterdam. This guitar was featured in an exhibition at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum, in Ohio for two years, along with many of his possessions, handwritten lyrics, poems and some clothing.
As far as I am aware the this Les Paul Custom was completely stock with no modifications. These are great guitars and when you find a good one, they are worth holding on to.
Tumblr media
Jeff’s Telecaster
Tumblr media
The borrowed guitar
What is interesting is that this Telecaster was actually borrowed from Janine Nicholls, a director at a local arts institution in New York while Buckley was still playing cafe shows in 1991. This guitar is a Butterscotch 1952 style Telecaster and apart from the bridge which is a top loader and had six individual saddles, rather than three brass barrels, and that hot stacked bridge pickup its a pretty standard Telecaster to look at, just with a chrome mirrored pickguard.
The guitar was returned to its original owner, after Buckley’s tragic death in 1997 and they eventually sold it on auction in 2011, selling for over $50,000.
As we now know Muse frontman Matt Bellamy purchased the guitar in 2020 and he is now the proud owner of this instrument.
Rickenbacker 12-String
On occasion you would also see him with a Rickenbacker 360/12 “Fireglo”. Buckley bought this 12 string Rickenbacker 360 with the money from his first advance after getting signed with Sony. This 12-string was mainly kept in Open G tuning, and live he would use it on the songs ‘Last Goodbye’ and ‘Vancouver’.
Tumblr media
The Flower Guitar
Acoustics
Tumblr media
The Guild F-50 was his main acoustic throughout the recording and touring of Grace, and you’d often the guitar covered in duct tape to help quash feedback issues when he played it live. It’s a guitar that is similar to the twelve string model his estranged father Tim Buckley had used.
Whereas the smaller, warmer sounding Gibson L-1 which Buckley got sometime around 1994, and often used for his finger style playing. Buckley used this guitar on many of his demos and at his smaller shows.
Amplifiers
Amp wise his usual setup was a ’90s Fender Vibroverb ’63 Reissue, and live you would also see him using a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Trem-o-verb Combo.
Tumblr media
Twin Amps
And in the mid-nineties the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Trem-o-verb Combo was seen as the top end of amplifiers by many and so I can see why he used one. In the studio and live he often used these two amps together, with the Fender providing the cleans and the Mesa Boogie handling all his gain tones.
Effects
Tumblr media
Guitar Tunings and chords
Jeff is known to have used Dean Markley Blue Steel strings on his electrics, and I’d assume he played 10s. He used Open G on Last Goodbye, which is D-G-D-G-B-D and Hallelujah is achieved by using a capo at the 5th Fret which gives you  A-D-G-C-E-A.
He also uses a lot of 6th chords, where you use a standard triad (the 1st, 3rd and 5th) with the 6th added. With both major 6th and minor 6th chords featuring frequently in his repertoire.
These 6th chords have a lot more drama in them and so that major 6th has a nice pleasant welcoming warm sound, whereas the minor 6th has a much darker and more haunting sound.
For example Dream Brother uses Bb6 – Cm6 – Dm7 – Ebmaj7 and the song Grace uses Em – F#m6 – G6 – A6.
I’d suggest brushing up on your 6th chords will really help you to cop some of that tension and drama that Jeff always coaxes out of his songs.
Grace Tones
My advice would be when attempting to get some of the tones that Jeff achieved on Grace, don’t be afraid of reverb and letting it create space in your tracks.
Look for a good warm, Fender-style clean tone, and if you are using a modeller or software, look for something which has a Fender Vibroverb or similar, to achieve this. Fender has reissued these amplifier a few times, so you can find them, and I know of a few boutique amp builders that will make you one.
His driven tones are definitely that Mesa Boogie sound and again you can find these within software and modelling. Originals are loud, very loud, so if you re going to hunt one down be prepared for the volume.
The videos below discuss some of his recorded tones and how to achieve the ‘reverb’ sound, which he is famous for. You can certainly still pick up the Alesis Quadraverb models used, but there are also plenty of plugins which emulate them. Something along the lines of the Valhalla Vintage Verb will get you in the ballpark.
I hope this article helps you on your quest for great guitar tones, and if you have the time, pop Grace on your stereo and go immerse yourself the wonderful layers of guitar tones.

Ohhhhh nooooooooo 😳😳😳😳
MARJANNNN 😭😭😭😭
I am s t r e s s e d :')))
That's it for the last of my last thoughts! Now it's time for the. . .
REVIEW
I absolutely LOVED this episode :DD!! I thought it was amazing :)). I'm really glad we got a call, too! We don't always get calls, at least not ones the 126 responds to, in episodes like this. I mean, they're all about to characters, but these ones are like. Especially character episodes lol. Anyway XD, the call was really cool :D!! And! Marjan's storyline!!! We got to see her and she was AWESOME 🥰🥰🥰!!! And don't even get me started on the Tarlos wedding planning storyline :D. But, you will have to lol, because:
Now it's time for the individual parts!
Quick note, everything is after "loved this episode :DD!!" is from Monday, the day before the next episode. I didn't mean to put it off so much but I had a fundraiser and a concert and then planning a play rehearsal for spring break because we perform in 9 days :). Anyway! I didn't liveblog quite as much as I sometimes do, because I was REALLY invested in the episode lol 🥰. And then I'd get behind trying to do it and couldn't always remember specifics. But rest assured I did love the whole thing, and I'll try to put as much here as I can (but it has been a week and also my motivation is still not great lol)
Sorry that's a bit long xD. Anyway!
Nancy, Mateo, Paul, and Judd! I'm including them all together to make this easier lol. I love them 🥰🥰🥰. Their conversation with TK and Carlos XD amazing lol. Oh, and they were all great at their jobs :))). I'm gonna especially point out Paul, not that he was better than the rest of them, but just bc he was the one we saw more of. He slayed :D. Anyway, them all eating together was just 🥰🥰. And Nancy (all of them really) being like "you better have gotten enough to share >://" XDD. Amazing lol. Also Mateo with the fruit xD. Like my man not the time lol. And of course I have to mention Judd talking about his father in law xD, and then ". . . we didn't speak for two years" XDDD. They're all crazy lol, but/and I love them so much <333.
Tommy! We didn't see her much this episode but she slayed :)). I'm just putting her separate from the others because they were grouped up a bit lol. But! Yeah, she was amazing at her job, as always :)). And ayy, she said the thing xD. "Control freak", I mean, lol. I think she was the only one who did, even though it was the whole theme xD. Anyway, I love her 🥰🥰🥰❤️.
Grace! Another person we didn't see much - I don't even think we physically saw her xD. Just the call lol. But, nonetheless, she slayed :)). She was great at her job 🥰. Even if we only saw it for that second xDD. It's unfortunate, but alas, it happens. I miss her, even if she was technically here, though lol. Hopefully we see her more soon <33! I love her :)) ❤️❤️🥰.
Owen! And Andrea xD. He was GREAT this episode lol. As was Andrea. I mean, definitely flawed, but they were hilarious XD. And they learned :'))). Eventually XDD. But seeing the way they (especially Owen since he was doing it for longer) were acting before they talked was just OUUGHH. It was rough my man xD. And some things he said were more bearable than others lol. But the conversation he had with Andrea was beautiful :'). And SO so angsty xdd. Mostly from Andrea/Carlos. So good though <33. And of course, the ending scene :')). Y'all stoppp 😭😭😭❤️. It was so sweet and beautiful :'D. I'm really glad they got it sorted out, because I do think Owen and Andrea are capable of helping without taking over lol. And also just bc I wanted them to sort it out xD. But it was really great :'). With Owen's personality still in there, like with the magazine and the tea xD. Honestly though I didn't really think of it being the last thing he would give TK/TK would need from him as being the reason, but it makes sense and it worked well! All in all I just think it all worked out really well :). Also the Andrea Godfather scene was SO AMAZING AND ICONIC LOL. I was losing my m i n d during that scene xD. And many others but I was straight up dying lol. Oh, also, Owen was great at his job :)). As was Andrea if we're assuming it's mother lol. But also Owen in that same way too :). Eventually, like I said xD, for both of them though lol. Anyway, yeah, I love them ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰.
Marjan! AAAHHHHH MY GIRLLLL!! SHE SLAYED S O HARD :DDDDD!!! I'm so glad we got to see her again, and she was awesome too :D. I'm so glad she listened to her instincts (and Patty, who's an icon by the way) to help Kylie, and even after the failed plan she still did :'). Also somehow I missed her ditch it so I didn't think about this till someone mentioned it, and obviously it makes sense she did, BUT SHE BETTER GET THAT BIKE BACK xdd. She's driving a car in the promo but still like long term she better get it back lol. Anyway, I'm so glad both Marjan and Kylie are okay :D. That fight at the end was INTENSE, but it was a slay :D. And Marjan did find what she was looking for :')). Turns out she was right the whole time lol xD. But really, I think rescuing and saving people is her calling. And based on the promo and episode description, I think she realized that too :') 🥰. Speaking of, AAAAHHHHHHHH!!?!???! NOT OKAY xdd!!!! I'm sure it'll all work out, but it looks CRAZY. I'm still wondering who that little girl is, but I'm sure we'll find out! And I'm sure that, and the entire episode, will be interesting. Anyway you can just post bail for abuse xd? What the heck. I don't know if I want Marjan to have to go through the emotional stuff of killing him, but he better be done for good by the end of this xD. Even if thats just back in prison lol. Anyway, Marjan was amazing at her job - calling - today :')). I love her <3333 ❤️❤️.
TK and Carlos! AAAHHHHHH MY BOYYYYS 🥰🥰🥰. Their storyline was so hilarious this episode XD. And it also gave us SO MANY GOOD MOMENTS FOR THEM :DDDD!! The little communication they kept having, like their looks to each other in the scene when the first brought Andrea over; standing by each other when standing up to their parents (parent technically but yk); THE LUNCH SCENE!!! Iconic all around :'D. Also I think that lunch scene was better than we ever could have hoped for XD. It was so good lol. Not just funny with their conversation, but cute too :'DD, especially the beginning. Like y'all they switched 🥰🥰. It's totally fine to be together and not share food but like :DD. It's also so cute xD. Anyway, they're adorable 🥰🥰❤️. But yeah, I'm so glad they worked everything out with their parents :'D. It was lowkey torture watching them make decisions for their sons xD. As was intending, and it was hilarious, but still lol. Also painful xd. Anyway, yeah, seeing Tarlos just become more and more stressed about the decisions were making was funny, but also kind of 😭. These poor boys are going through it xd. Also CARLOS IS CAPABLE AND DECENT AND WILL TAKE CARE OF TK 😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️!!! STOP I CAN'T DO THIS OWEN AAAHHHHHHH :'DDDDDD 😭🥰🥰!! Killed me lol. Like yk will take care of each other in a modern relationship kinda way not like a weird power dynamic lol :)). But, yeah <333. I loved all their little moments :')). And I just have to mention again the fact that Carlos didn't want to say anything but as soon as TK "snapped" he was right by his side - he loves his man <333. I just love them so much :'DDD 🥰🥰❤️.
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode! The call was cool, we got to see the 126 being amazing and adorable, and the two main storylines were AMAZING!! Also the way the Control Freaks theme translated over the plots was really cool :). Also I just love the parallel of an episode about Tarlos wedding planning being called Control Freaks, with TK calling Carlos a control freak and 3x04 and Carlos saying it in 3x05 :')). It was just sweet <33. And a bit funny xD. Anyway, I'm so glad Marjan managed to get Kylie out and Grant (that's his face right I just re-watched a bit to make sure I got Kylie's right lol) arrested :)). But I am definitely stressed for next episode 😬😬😬😳. I'm sure she'll be okay, but still xd. I mean. Probably. To be honest you never know with 9-1-1 or Lone Star XD. But I'm almost completely sure she will be lol - they wouldn't do that to us xd. I hope. Still, it looks intense o.o. It even looks like at some point he's pointing a gun at her in like a drain/sewer??? Wild o.o. And again, I'm excited and very interesting to see who the little girl is!! All in all it definitely looks great and I'm super excited for it :D. But with this episode, I'm glad everything worked out 🥰🥰🥰. I loved it so much :DDD!!
