Knox was a romantic boyfriend, the most romantic boyfriend you could ever have. He was always taking care of you, always making sure you were fine and felt loved. And if you ever had the same attitude back, he would instantly blush and look flustered.
You laid back in your bed, Knox resting his head on your chest, his hand playing with your fingers. "Baby," he said, "Do you want me to put on some music?"
"Oh yeah"
Your boyfriend got up and put the record player on, music filling the room quickly. He spun around, standing in front of you "C'mon here! Dance with me!" he said enthusiastically but you only sighed.
"I don't know how to..."
"Me neither! But we can learn!" Without even waiting for an answer he grabbed your hand, pulling you out of the bed.
Trying to remember how couples would dance in movies he watched. He put his hand on your waist as the other was still holding yours, Knox pulled you closer, his chest flushed against yours. He started to swing you both back and forth, trying awkwardly to follow the slow beat of the music.
You were struggling at first, trying to adapt your mouvements to the rythm of the music and eventually both of your confidences built up as you danced more and more, you started to try bolder moves.
You let out a little yelp as Knox stepped on your feet when he detached himself from you to come closer again. "I'm so sorry," he apologized as a worried expression found his face.
"I'm fine," you smiled. "Just make me dance!" you approached your face to his flushed one, embarrassed by what just happened, you pressed a small kiss to his mouth. When you pulled away, he chased for your lips and you chuckled.
Knox made you twirl on yourself before pushing you close to him "I could never dream of a better way of spending my night," he smiled as he kissed the corner of your lips.

The sunshine court’s characterisation of Jeremy Knox is fucking sublime btw
• guy who is very chill and friendly not bc of temperament but because he has decided to be chill and friendly and is clinging onto that with his fucking teeth >>>>>>>>>>>>
• the gentle… not quite manipulation, but like conflict resolution and team management?
Jean hangs up on him and he calls back immediately and a) doesnt accuse or chide b) pretends it was his mistake to gently shift the tone and c) maintains focus on his goal. This is like, insane people skills and I wish we got more of it in the latter part. I would KILL to see him dealing with the team in depth
• this man hates 1: cops 2: congressmen (specifically those who are fucking his mum) 3: every fucker who ever said a bad word to jean Moreau and for that we have to give props
• sooooo many plot hooks for this guy. like he has a History and i for one am waiting eagerly to hear it
• canonically gay and horny. we have no choice but to stan.
• has a butler?!?!?!?
Just overall such a good character that managed to walk the line of pleasant surprise but also fulfilling fan hopes based on precious little canon information

Listing off parallels the non canon parts of the black butler anime have to the manga
Most of the information I got for this list is from the video "Black Butler Season 1 is NOT that great" by @weebalu483 (who is also on YouTube)

(these are not in any particular order I'm just listing down things for fun)
Undertaker being a grim reaper
An animal based servant. In the anime it was Pluto, a dogman, in the manga and canon parts it was Snake, a snake man, they also look similar and have the same hair colour
Queen Victoria having servants dressed in white. In the anime it is Ash and in the manga it's Charles Phipps, Grey and John Brown. In the anime Ash later turned out to be an angel and I also theorize the 3 canon servants are also angels (I'm honestly not so sure about the double Charles but I'm certain with John Brown), I've talked about my reasons why in a recent post
The characters designs of Joker and Drossel Keinz are very similar, probably because the circus arc in the manga was ongoing while the anime was in production
Ciel getting framed for crimes and then getting betrayed by Scotland yard
Bard, Meyrin and Finny's backstories. While in the anime a few things were changed they were all basically the same as the manga. Meyrin was an assassin, Bard was a soldier and Finny was some sort of experiment
Doll/zombie creatures. In the anime it was the dolls Drossel Keinz had made using real life girls he had kidnapped and in the manga it was Undertaker bringing people back from the dead and calling them his bizarre dolls
Vincent Phantomhive. At the end of season 1 his full face and name was shown in a flashback while Ciel read Tanaka's diary. In the manga Vincent's full face and name was not revealed until near the end of the circus arc
Alois Trancy being a parallel to the real Ciel, many people in the black butler fandom headcanon that if the real Ciel was the one to survive the cults ritual and the one to make the contract with Sebastian, he would've ended up a lot like Alois
Sebastian doing the dirty with someone to get important information
Grell getting very jealous after finding out what Sebastian did
Ronald Knox. I know it doesn't really count much but he made a brief appearance in season 2 but he did not show up until near the end of the circus arc in the manga

Dps fandom we need to not ignore the other characters reactions to Neil's death we only ever talk about Todd's and charlies reaction to his dead which I think it's just because those two are 2 of the most liked charaters and because their reactions are the main focus in most of the scenes after the death and the consequences of it
Neil was important to the group being the 'heart' of it for lack of better words,all of the poets where extreamely attached to him especially charlie knox and meeks at the start,the 3 (the 3 musketeers fr) of them immediately shows up while todd and neil are unpacking to greet him and ask about his summer; they also all show to have some sort of opinion on mr perry like they've met/heard about him before and hits hinted that the poets (- todd) had known eachother for a while before the movie taken place
During the scene where charlie is telling todd about neil we get a shot right before they go outside of pitts, knox and meeks standing there watching
It's only a few seconds of the whole thing but we dont talk about i I feel like I've only seen 1 or 2 people ever mention this scene I had to go on a screencap website just to find it but we get to see the shock on everyone's faces (- cameron) after being told the news
In this screencap and the scene before it where they were all out in the snow you can see especially on meeks face the hurt the whole thing had caused since in both he's either crying or his voice is wavering while he trying to comfort todd, knox was also trying to comfort todd and himself by rocking him back and forth and in the sceencap above you can see he had been crying due to the reflection of watery-ness you can see on his face
in the back cameron had his own sad face but I can make a whole separate post about cameron and his response to Neil's death
In conclusion neil was important to just about every poet and the spotlight shouldn't be only on todd and charlie even though those are also very important to the story ty for reading🛐

I'm so annoyed by the writing of canon Knox Overstreets character. There are definitely better ways to show that a character is head over heels for someone (and delulu) without turning them into a creep.
I just read the party scene from the book and it's even more gross than in the film. I don't understand what they were trying to achieve by adding this?
