You were excited for the Yule Ball. A little stressful maybe, it was going to be crowded and loud but you decided that you would have a good time and- if it all became too much- you would simply leave for your dorm, enjoying having the room for you alone.
But the party wasn't the only thing that made your mind rush in thoughts of what could go wrong. You had a date. Yes, a date! And it was George Weasley.
He was so different from you, he was confident, loud and proud whilst you were very shy and would always prefer the corner of a room to the crowded middle.
You never told him you liked him even though you were pretty sure he knew. Around him you were even shyer and would always giggle at his jokes, still sometimes allowing yourself to show a bit more of your personality before worrying you had done something wrong and going silent. You hoped he felt the same about you but something was telling you the opposite. He was so confident about everything, why wouldn't he have told you yet?
And he did ask you out for the Yule Ball but you remember what he said when asking "Do you wanna be with me for the Yule Ball? We'll be the prettiest friends Hogwarts has ever seen."
George was waiting for you downstairs in the common room, he had insisted that he had to walk you to the great room for a "big entrance".
You let out a long breath before finally meeting George downstairs. "You're finally... ready," he smiled as he eyes landed on you "You look beautiful," he said as he looped his arm with yours.
You felt blood rushing to your ears and cheeks and you mumbled a quiet "T-thank you". It was almost inaudible, you were pretty sure he didn’t even hear it.
George chuckled, pulling you closer to him "Don't be shy, love," he smiled, knowing very well it only made you more flustered. He whispered in your ear "Why do I make you so nervous? I'm only a guy complimenting the person he likes."
Your eyes widened. He said it as if it was nothing before dragging you to the common room with a grin on his face. 'Tonight is going to be fun' he thought.

i like to think that- in saving the phoenix at the end of KBOOM- roxana's hands suffered some pretty serious burns from willingly getting so close to the magma. i, too, have occasionally had a thought of prism and solaris meeting up, and those thoughts always eventually flow into solaris taking note of the scars and assuming that the phoenix caused them. which, admittedly, why should she imagine otherwise? when all she knows is the trail of fiery destruction they leave in their wake, and the familiarity of the burns on her own skin.
there's something there to me about solaris assuming she can have a kinship with another inventor, and prism... obviously having a slightly different take on the whole phoenix situation. both so similar and so different at the same time.
all this to say by the time you add john in there i think it would turn into public debate class💥
OUUH YES you reminded me that I Forgot to add that bullet point in the relationship thingy, but I didn't have enough space as it is...I'm very sure that their perspectives on Phoenix are a common cause of arguments between them, ranging from silly to maybe serious. All their lives changed by that one agent, in drastically different ways...
Solaris and Prism could probably still bond over a lot of things (inventing and all that Zoraxis Baggage:tm: maybe even fabby) but they're certainly stubborn about how they view Phoenix. Now I'm wondering if Prism could change Solaris's mind about them.. knowing her though it's better to not push it because I def think Solaris isn't the type to let go of grudges so easily.

YAYY yes hi blood murder violents for the women <3 Fabby and Solaris don't get to fight together side by side that often (considering their areas of expertise isn't hand-to-hand combat)...but I think with enough time, they'd learn each other's patterns and strategies in such detail they could effortlessly synergize with one another. Ultimate kicking ass collaboration. It's pretty similar with how they work together with inventions: most of the time they'll be arguing over their styles while they knock out EOD agents, but their specialties complement each other very well. Even if they aren't that aware, I think both of them would jump at the opportunity to protect the other while in a fight.
🌑 eepy - black mamba
They're. not really getting the best sleep at Zoraxis. Maybe there's like a room (cell) for them in one of the Labs, which also acts as the scientists' observation room. They have very mixed feelings about that room: it's the first comfort they've ever known, but they don't like the cramped space of it. They also hate being watched like that...
For the most part, they busy themselves in the missions they're given, and they're willing to pull a lot of all-nighters just to get a job done. Once Doc Schaden noticed how frequently Mamba just . collapses in exhaustion, he brought them back to his place and let them sleep on the couch one time. Since then they've never slept in their old room again.

Do you think The Fabricator tries to help w/ Solaris’ recovery? Even by… “unconventional” means?
i think fabby helped solaris a lot while she was recovering, but the majority of it was emotional, rather than physical or medical. granted, i doubt that fabby couldn’t do something like that if she really wanted to. ultimately, though, i don’t think she would be willing to meddle with someone as important to her as solaris when it comes to such a lethal situation. god forbid, if solaris was drastically harmed- or died, even- and it was her fault, i don’t think she’d ever forgive herself.
fabby was usually little else but a source of company… a grounding voice drowning out the sound of medical equipment. sometimes, when solaris was too exhausted to talk, she was nothing more than a warm body sat beside her. for a while, that was enough…
i like to think that once solaris recovered to the point where she could eat solids again, fabby would bring her meals to eat. lord knows she’d be craving something good after going from artificial meat rations to hospital slop. it boosts her morale, and keeps her from being driven mad.
since i personally don’t think fabby is a stranger to hospitals or recovery, i do think she’d try to help solaris out best she can… mainly by normalizing her pain. helping her come to the conclusion that it isn’t embarrassing or a display of weakness to rely on tools and methods to make her life easier. that her new chronic pain isn’t a metric of her worth as a person…
maybe she makes her a few custom mobility tools- something that looks nice and sleek, as opposed to the dull and clunky and lifeless ones you could find anywhere else. something that she can look at without feeling any more miserable

She was clearly still distracted despite trying to play it off as not a big deal, but continued.
Hazel: “What I’m looking for is the treasure of the Fae Forest. And to do that, I need to find the Dungeon Master.”
Rue: “B-by yourself–?”

Interviews weren’t the part of your job you liked the most. You were shy and it might be unusual for a rockstar but you couldn’t help it, it just wasn’t your thing to answer questions from a stranger, you weren’t talkative and they just kept pushing you to respond. But you always thought that at least you weren’t the lead singer, as the bassist you didn’t have the big spotlight on and you were more than fine with it.
On stage you didn’t have any problem, you were a brand new person. You were in your element, at your best and felt like you could conquer the world. But during your most vulnerable moments when shyness took over, you could be sure Steve was there to answer or change the subject.
Steve rested a reassuring hand on your shoulder “You were great,” he said as you were looking down at your feet, unhappy with how you acted just a few minutes ago during an interview.
“No…” you whined “I stayed silent and when I did talk I stuttered and was barely loud enough to be heard.”
“Hey… It’s fine. Interviews are not your thing and it’s more than okay.”
“You’re sure?”
“Mmh,” he said, “Also, the questions were weird. Nobody likes to be asked about their love life.”
“Yeah,” you answered. You never liked to respond to this type of question but this time, instead of letting out a quiet chuckle when they asked you if someone was the ‘keeper of your heart’, your eyes only widened as you stuttered a quiet ‘no one’. And added to this awkward answer, your eyes had flickered to Steve’s, seeking for the comfort only he could give you.
Steve got a little closer to you and he whispered “You had this reaction because your answer changed, right? You have someone.”
You fled his gaze “Maybe…”
“Is it me?”
You felt your cheeks turning hot “Um… maybe,” you said shyly before feeling Steve hooking a finger under your chin, making you look at him. Slowly, he got closer, asking for permission with his eyes and, when you nodded, he pressed his lips to yours.
You didn’t know for how long you had kissed him but when later that night you were on stage, your eyes couldn’t leave his. You were confident whilst performing but now that Steve was yours and you knew he was always watching you, you were the best you could ever be.

Oh man.
Solaris.
Solaris was the proud leader of the previous pantheon. It was a role he took quite seriously.
He wasn't always terrible but he was certainly... very invested in tradition.
Solaris' familiar was also a deer, just like Sun.
Solaris and Luna were long time rivals because both were in love with Obscura. It was a quiet competition for her affection all through their youth.
Solaris proposed to Obscura by bringing her a dragon he slayed. This... didn't go over well with Obscura. She made him promise that would be the last dragon he hunted.
He would later break this promise when he took Sun and Eclipse dragon hunting for Sun's 20th birthday.
Before taking over his father's position, Solaris spent most of his time in the coliseum. He loved sports.
Solaris kept many dogs and loved them all dearly.
He also didn't like to drink and would often just carry a full wine glass around at events to prevent people from offering him drinks.
For all his pride and posturing, Solaris was terrified of failure. He had a deep misplaced distrust in his fellow gods that came from a betrayal he never forgot.
Though Elusia claims to have been friends with Solaris, this is actually untrue. Elusia and Solaris despised each other.
When Obscura became pregnant with their first child, Solaris was so excited that he actually took the week off to spend as much time as possible with her. He even tried carrying her, but she was too big for him <3
Like Sun, Solaris was revered as a god of family and particularly known to be invested in the safety of children. He allocated many of his temple's funds to care for orphaned and sick children.
Solaris and Terra were good friends, and Solaris made a genuine effort to protect Terra and Pluto when the star fell and Pluto was under scrutiny.

Another opportunity to gush? Absolutely!! :) I will admit I have not thought much about Solaris because I have yet to make a design for her, but a few come to mind
Hcs below cut bc game spoilers and length
- She and Fabby? Wives. Proof? We find out that Fabby had a dinner reservation to a fancy sounding place during Eaves Drop. Mm, dinner alone sounds pathetic and we know that Fabby is anything but. So, date night it is. Also, they must work together often enough because Solaris is a laser specialist and Fabricator makes death traps, so it’s fair to say that they built the laser trap in Safe and Sound (even tho Fabricator took the credit). Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure Fabricator has a note in her office that says something like “She’s so annoying” in reference to Solaris, so my take on it is that Solaris being like that on purpose because it’s funny
- Also tell me. tell me that canonical 6’2 Solaris and canonical 5’4 Fabricator wouldn’t be funny. Solaris putting a pair of wire cutters on a high shelf to annoy Fabby. Fabricator explaining in detail how she plans to kill Solaris for making fun of her (she’s just joking.. right? she’s not serious is she? ohp, nope, she’s dead serious). finally getting inspo to draw them bc of this and this alone
- some incorrect Fabby/Solaris quotes:
S: “I poisoned one of our glasses. But I forgot which one.”
F: “The way this dinner is going, I hope it’s mine.”

- I’m assuming she survived the Death Engine because of an emergency escape pod or something similar and that she ejected right as/before it blew up. She didn’t sustain nearly as many injuries as Phoenix, she got away with just a few nicks and scratches.
- She’s not working for Zoraxis because she agrees with their views, she’s there because they’re funding her work and making her designs real. Sure it may be a ginormous deadly weapon, but you have to admit, being able to make and be in charge of a functional mini-Death Star is an extraordinary scientific achievement. Who else can say that they’ve made a laser capable of destroying whole buildings?
- For some reason in my mind her default outfit is similar to Chell’s in Portal, like white shirt/tank top with a jumpsuit tied around her waist and black boots. The jumpsuit would be orange with dark grey accents, the boots would be like. combat boots? I think? some kind of heavy-duty boots

Mimipon (@ask-mimipon) @ Solaris: Mimipon approaches, covering her eyes with her claws. " Em...mister Sun...sir?" They stutter, "Is it really ok for you to be talking with folk? I was told not to look at the sun because it hurts." They peak a tiny bit from behind their claws, "What are you doing here then?"
Solaris just couldn’t handle the cuteness of this smaller mon. He got down to Mimipon’s height, a small smile on his face.
“As for what I’m doing here…” Solaris took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking again, “I enjoy being around mortals, and being in the realm of gods and other deities gets boring after a while.”

Okay first odd but like universe speaking to me special that your biker schemmenti post came right as I realized I want to own a bike and I'm like doing research but you said your in a biker family and I was wondering if you have any recommendations??? Also wanted to say I really like your posts!!! I'm glad I'm coming out of my shell to commend you great writers and again great work and hope this doesn't bother you!!! 🥺
hi darling! thank you for the compliment, it really means the world to hear from you guys.
by no means am i am expert in bikes, but if you mean recommendations for the motorcycle itself, i’m biased to say look at harley davidson. they have so many different models for different levels of riders. the lighter bikes are probably best for new riders. maybe the Sportster XL (xl stands for extra light, not large) or the Street 750
i’ve never ridden a sports bike like a suzuki and kawasaki, so i don’t want to give any opinion where i haven’t formed one. usually looking up good beginners bikes a place to start. and don’t be afraid to test out different bikes!!
but if you mean for riding in general, it varies on where you live and stuff.
ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET. PROMISE ME.
never, and i mean NEVER ride with shorts on. even if it’s hot out. the metalwork will be blistering and you can and will get burned i’ve done it too many times i can’t grow hair on a patch of my leg.
you don’t need a motorcycle jacket, just a think enough one to protect you from wind hitting you. gloves are also 10/10 especially when it’s 50°F (10°C) or cooler. the air around you will always feel colder than it actually is outside
as for hair, it depends on your hair length and type. i’m a white person with longer 3A hair, so for me braiding it or a low bun works. pony tails just get tangled up. if you wear protective styles, i would highly recommend a scarf/bonnet/durag under the helmet
SUNSCREEN. TRUST. sunscreen and sunglasses if your helmet doesn’t have a tinted visor
research what’s recommended for your area for gear, especially with weather :)
