got my hands on 2 of @buttcheek2 ‘s zines!!!! HIGHLY recommend checking julian’s stuff out if you haven’t yet, he makes comics and PLUSHIES and has a great eye for fashion (not to mention he’s funny, kind, and a beloved part of my life)
god i need to rewatch tss. the silly little hedgehogs have been in my brain for a while and it looks like thomas has finished something sides-related (i don't want to get my hopes up for it being the finale) so i need to get back at it. i'm not hyperfixating on it anymore, bc sonic has kind of taken over my life, but i just need to watch it again and remind myself why i WAS hyperfixating on it (twice)
yknow, my life is objectively better and i can confidently say that im thriving and more happy more than im not, but that feeling that im going to die young or that im not really human never really goes away. and i cant really stop it because the dying young thing wasnt just a trauma response, its me acknowledging that my hometown is ever slowly drowning or that a particularly hot day could simply burn everything and that the chance of getting killed from reactionary backlash from the government is never zero. and the not human thing is just something you get when youre trans and neurodivergent in this society. so like, i can go to therapy, i can improve myself, but im never going to stop being all combative and suspicious because that is necessary for me to stay alive. ngl its pretty depressing that im cursed to be a bitch.
okay so i’m gonna go off for a minute just so i’m not being a dick on somebody else’s post. tw for mentions of animal abuse under the cut.
rich strike winning the kentucky derby is absolutely mindblowing and if this horse wins the triple crown i will literally shit myself but. um. please give the “sport” of professional horse racing as little patronage as possible. there’s a reason that horses like rich strike and so many other race winning horses are completely aggressive assholes and it is not because of any kind of eq (that horses frankly don’t have, at least not to the extent described in the post i’m referencing), it is not because of some ‘drive to win’ that so many people who consume media surrounding this sport like to personify the horses with. it is quite literally because these horses are abused and worked to their limits on a pretty much daily basis. not to mention many of these horses are inbred to just a disgusting extent, which produced not only behavioral issues but a myriad of health issues that are destroying the thoroughbred breed. take justify, the 2018-2019 triple crown winner. i cannot speak to his personality but that horse is not sound whatsoever. it wasn’t a question of if his front legs would give out, but when. it is by sheer luck that it didn’t happen before his triple crown run and i’m glad he’s now retired but goddamn. and they’re BREEDING him! breeding him. they are muddying the gene pool further just because this horse was somehow able to pull off a triple crown win, not because he was really the right horse to do it- it was pure luck. horse racing is gross and i just cannot really condone or get very excited about things that go on within the “sport.” it’s not funny, it’s just sad.

Whisper Me a Love Song follows first-year high school student Himari Kino, who, at a welcome ceremony, witnesses Yori Asanagi singing and instantly falls in “love.” She immediately confesses her admiration to Yori, who misinterprets Himari’s feelings as romantic. However, once she realizes her mistake, Yori swears that she will make Himari fall for her for real. The anime will run for 12 episodes, according to HIDIVE.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Eku Takeshima. The manga began serialization in Comic Yuri Hime in February 2019. As of March 2024, Ichjinsha has published nine collected volumes of the series in Japanese, and Kodansha USA has published eight in English.
The anime, which was delayed from its initially announced January premiere, is directed by Akira Mano at Cloud Hearts and Yokohama Animation Laboratory. Mano replaced the initially announced director, Xin Ya Cai, due to “health reasons.” Additional staff includes character designer Minami Yoshida and script supervisor Hiroki Uchida join Mano.
The anime stars Hana Shimano as Himari Kino and Asami Seto as Yori Asanagi. Additional cast includes:
Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsutsui
Mikako Komatsu as Aki Mizuguchi
Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana
