Years and years ago I stumbled upon this trio of Youtube videos. I had lost their trace for a good amount of time before finally finding them back. It is the Fabled series, a trio of humoristic Youtube sketches centered around fairytales and produced by the stuntbear Youtube channel (which seems to have gone dormant three years ago?)

Fabled takes the form of a sort of talk-show where characters from popular fairytales are interviewed "after" their fairytales happened, when they became famous stars known throughout the world - and the humor goes from Hansel and Gretel turning out to be the villains of their own story, to the giant of Jack and the Beanstalk being depicted as a victim of robbery, and Jack as a criminal junkie... This mini-series was also apparently a testing ground for makeup special effects and prosthetics.

There are only three episodes.

Of course I could not help myself and put the following: Maedhros and hid six brothers searching for light

This is a snippet:

The six brothers of Maedhros stared warily into the murky depths of the forest. Darkness had descended upon them like a thick blanket, shielding the trees from their sight. The pale moonlight that had been guiding their way through the dense thicket was now nowhere to be seen. With each step, they felt as if they were walking into an abyss, yet it seemed that was what they were destined to do – for it was only in this darkness that they would find the elusive light of seven.

also the way that the nimona movie showed that hate is a taught behavior?? the way that gloreth, the hero worshipped for slaying monsters, was fully accepting of nimona until her mother told her what to believe? until that generational bigotry was passed down? the way the director’s motive wasn’t even power like most evil government figureheads in media, but rather a fear of monsters destroying the kingdom because that hate had been instilled in her too, like it had in gloreth? the way ballister was also indoctrinated into hatred of “monsters” until he was just as outcast as one? because only then was he willing to change and learn?? and how even people with good hearts and good intentions like ballister and ambriosius and even the queen herself are still capable of perpetuating bigotry and unnecessary violence when they don’t take the time to understand or learn about the “others” they supposedly hate????????? i need to lie down

My Fabled Love - ch 7. 

「“And…” Alisha continued softly, “if I may be so bold, there is one more thing I’d like to tell you, or rather ask of you now that you’re here.”

“Please, anything. Ask me anything,” Clem said. 

“I’d like for you to be my very first… kiss.”」

One quiet day on the farm, the Little Red Hen found some wheat seeds and decided to make bread.

"Who will help me plant these seeds?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"I would." said the Horse "But I'm a workhorse, and I'm too busy moving carts around."

And so the Little Red Hen planted the seeds by herself. And they grew into bountiful golden crops.

"Who will help me harvest the wheat?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"I would." said the Dog "But I'm a guarddog, and I'm too busy keeping away burglars and predators."

And so the Little Red Hen harvested the wheat herself and made it into flour.

"Who will help me bake the flour?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"I would." said the Pig "But I'm a mother of 5 newborn piglets, and I'm too busy taking care of my young."

And so the Little Red Hen baked the bread herself into twenty beautiful loaves.

"Who will help me eat the bread?" the Little Red Hen asked.

"We would." said the Farm Animals. "But we're ashamed, for we didn't do anything to make the bread."

"Nonsense!" said the Little Red Hen. "You, Horse, helped move around the stones that built my oven. You, Dog, kept me safe while I worked. And you, Pig, are raising a new generation of Farm Animals, who will too contribute to our Farm one day. You've all helped me so much by simply being you."

"Besides," the Little Red Hen added. "I couldn't possibly eat all the loaves on my own, most of them would go to waste. Come, eat with me."

And so the Little Red Hen and the Farm Animals ate the bread together. And all saw their own, and each other's, worth.
