Blurb: Ted Bundy’s crimes are chronicled by his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.
I've read Ann Rule's book recently too and it was so eye opening, and I think got across the scale of his crimes better than any documentary I've ever seen
so true!! she had so much information and really captured just how long he had done this, what he had done, who he had done it to, and so much more. I thought she gave pretty good attention to the victims and showed how much of a monster he was without like telling us. but also she showed her side. i liked that part where she basically says that during their time at the crisis hotline he (and I'm paraphrasing) "saved as many lives as he had taken." like that's so insane. i thought ann's writing was so good, she gave so much, and didn't hold back. she could've been in such denial had she wanted to, she could've played into his manipulation and anger but she gave the facts. also, weird side note, i never knew how long he dragged out his execution lmao that man gave the state of Florida hell in more ways than one.
have you read Elizabeth Kendall's book about her relationship with him? that was the first true crime book I've ever read and it gave me chills. the newest edition has an excerpt from her daughter and it made me nauseous

Though the series based on the life and crimes of the serial killer purports to tell the victims’ stories, it ends up cannabalising its own good intentions

Even though beautifully acted, there is the nagging question about whether we needed…
