Steve and Eddie trying to have a romantic evening together after they had a wonderful dinner. Steve thought it would be a cute idea to do the cliche roses in the bathtub and surrounded by candles thing with the biggest mountain of bubbles in it. They get themselves ready to get inside the bathtub not really expecting Eddie to knock one of the candles over into the water.

“Shit.” Eddie cursed as he quickly got the candle out of the water. Luckily the candle didn’t start a fire or that would’ve been a terrible sight. Steve was to busy laughing at Eddie remove some of the candles away from the bathroom so another mishap wouldn’t happen.

Both of them continued to get into the bathtub only to realize that they were way to big to for it and ended up being crammed. They tried adjusting the way they sat down, Eddie fully sat down in the tub while Steve made himself comfortable on his lap. Not the most comfortable position but they were determined to make it work.

“I guess I didn’t really think this through, I’m sorry everything wasn’t as perfect as I thought it was going to be.” Steve said softly. All he wanted was for the night to go right and ends up like this. Eddie wrapped his arms around Steve and gave him kiss on the cheek.

“There’s nothing to apologize for and don’t beat yourself up over these little things. If anything I’m glad that tonight wasn’t perfect because to me that’s boring.” Eddie admitted. Steve was surprised to hear this.

“You think so?” Steve asked, he started to feel a little bit better when Eddie nodded his head.

“Mhm. Perfect is for the couples that grow old and live with eighty cats that sit on a couch that has one of the worst patterns on it. We’re the couple that mess up, embarrass ourselves, eat pizza throughout the whole day, and get the dumbest tattoos on our bodies.” Eddie was rambling but his point still stands. Steve laughed as he attempted to lean on Eddie’s chest.

“Yeah you’re right. Perfect doesn’t sound as much fun now that I think about it and we shouldn’t try to be.” Steve smiled while enjoying Eddie’s warm embrace.

“Yep. I don’t want to ruin the moment but my legs are kind of numb under you babe.” Eddie gave Steve an apologetic look when he got up from the tub. Steve didn’t realize that he was basically crushing him in side of the tiny area. Even though their romantic bathtub idea was short lived they still had an amazing night. The night was made up with them watching tv in bed and showering each other with kisses until one of them got sleepy.

I want to go on a silly little sapphic Christmas/winter date, where we stay inside and get all cozy next to a heater and under some blankets.
