Songs/Bands and Artists I like which I think some of my favorite BSD characters would listen to, mixed with some headcanons about them but my music taste is all over the place and I have no real favorite genre
Chuuya:
Maneskin
ABBA (He and Dazai dance to ABBA since they were teens)
Taylor Swift
Doja Cat
Cigarettes After Sex
Out of Touch by Hall & Oates
The Smashing Pumpkins
Happier than ever by Billie Eilish
Go Hard (La.La.La) by Kreayshawn
He only listens to Mitski when he's drunk and thinking about Dazai
Dazai:
The Smiths
Mitski
ABBA (He and Chuuya dance to ABBA since they were teens)
Cavetown
Melanie Martinez
I think I'm gonna kill myself by Elton John
Maybe he liked listening to the Gorillaz when he was a teen
Girl in Red
TV Girl
TOP
In my head by bedroom
Billie Eilish
Oulala by Vunderbar
Bimbo Doll by Tila Tsoli
I don't know how to love by the drums
Lady Gaga
Shibusawa:
Bernadette and I come with Knives by IAMX
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark
Swimming Pool by Marie Madeleine
Classical Music but he doesn't pays much attention to composers so he listens to a bunch of composers mixed together
Little Dark Age by MGMT
Electroforez
Hollow by Mr.Kitty
Freakshow by Punkinlove

Tchaikovsky
Hug me by Pharrell Williams and Trey Parker
Le Festin from the Ratatouille soundtrack
ABBA
Fyodor:
Tchaikovsky and a bunch of other composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Brahms and newer classical music but Tchaikovsky is his absolute favorite and he can play a lot of his songs on his cello. He usually does this to calm down or get his head a bit free of all the overwhelming thoughts
ABBA
IC3PEAK
I come with knives and Bernadette by IAMX
Molchat Doma
Swimming Pool by Marie Madeline
Electroforez
Black No.1 (Little Miss Scare All) by Type O Negative
Who is she? by I Monster
No 13 Dance of the Knights by Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev

Nikolai:
Bernadette and Animal Impulses by IAMX
Lady Gaga
IC3PEAK
песня без слов and перемен by Kino
Imma Kill U by Insane Clown Posse
Butch 4 Butch and Inarticulation by Rio Romeo

Literally anything he likes. He has no favorite genres
Edgar Allan Poe:
Mareux
Queen

Vampire Smile by Kyla la Grange
Mixed classical music
Hug me by Pharrell Williams and Trey Parker (Aya made him listen to it)
The Smiths
80s music
So This Is Love from Cinderella by Ilene Woods and Mike Douglas (He often thinks of his old friend Lovecraft while listening to it but always scolds himself when he realises. Who can blame him tho. It's easy to think about old feelings when you aren't exactly able to do things on your own and usually lie around)
Genesis by Grimes

I made such a good joke today but it only works in german with context so I'm gonna explain it all to you cause I don't have any hobbys
1. my mother and I were driving trough a village at about 7pm and some young people were walking/standing on the street (it is a main road, you can't really drive around the village so it has near constant traffic)
2. Halbstark is a word used for rowdy teens which dates back to the 50s
3. there's a song called Junge, wir können so heiß sein (Boy, we can be so hot) by Extrabreit, which is about a teen named Karl Heinz Jürgen who doesn't do sht and then acts as if it's the world's fault his life is sht, the singer tells him how hot they all can be (80s hot = today's cool)
So what I said was "Diese Halbstarken denken, sie wären so heiß, dabei sind sie alle Karl Heinz Jürgen" (These half strongs think they're so cool, but they're all Karl Heinz Jürgen)

1, 5, 10, 25 for vinyl asks :)
Thank youuu 🫶🏼
First LP you ever bought?
I think it was an Extrabreit record (german post punk band yea I was in that phase) I bought on discogs for like 12€ which was definitely a deal bc it was a first print and the quality was veeery good
Favorite LP in your collection?
Very hard to pick just one but probably 666 by Aphrodite's Child bc 1) it's hard to find that record at an affordable price  2) it helped me discover greek and middle eastern music ig 3) goofy ahh orthodox music influences 🔥🔥🔥
Last record you bought?
Spiral by Vangelis (got scammed btw bc the owner said it was in good conditions but it clearly wasn't. Like the sleeve crumbled down as soon as I opened it) but well. Amazing record imo
How often do you buy records?
I wish I could buy plenty of records everyday but unfortunately I don't have much money to spend on this stuff yet and the nearest record store is 15 km away from here so I'd say one or two every two months 👎🏼👎🏼 thankfully I got a job recently and soon I can afford them

Extrabreit(1978)
A German punk rock band that was formed in 1978 in Hagen, Germany. They were one of the pioneering bands in the German punk rock movement and gained popularity in the 1980s. The band's name, which translates to "extra wide" in English, reflects their energetic and bold musical style.
Extrabreit's music embodied the spirit of the NDW movement with its energetic and rebellious approach. They combined punk rock aesthetics with catchy melodies and lyrics that often contained satirical and humorous social commentary. Their songs, such as "Polizisten" and "Der Führer schenkt den Klonen eine Stadt," showcased the band's ability to address socio-political issues with a dose of irony and wit.

I saw your post about random asks:
Do you collect anything? Especially if it’s like a collection with ~100+ items or some other huge number. Really any number! If so, I’d like to hear about it!
Why do you collect it?
What’s the coolest item in your coolest? What’s the rarest? The most expensive?
Where do you keep everything?
Are there any other things you want us to know about it?
If you don’t collect anything then uhh idk, what’s a cool music-related story that you’ve heard recently?
Hiii! First off thank you so much for asking such interesting questions! :)
I mostly collect vinyls because..well, I constantly think and talk about music. It's my biggest passion and it will always be. Anyway, some of them were part of my dad's ex - collection, others that I bought myself and a few that people were actually going to throw in the trash (I can't believe people do this tbh).
I think I do own ± 100 records! Plenty of them are part of a classical music collection (my favourite classical artists are definitely Vivaldi, Chopin, Debussy and Liszt).. they're so pretty because they all have tiny books inside with lots of interesting documents. They're sooooo neat!
- since I bought lots of second hand records, many of them were produced in West Germany (ex. The Man Machine by Kraftwerk, Long Live Rock N' Roll by Rainbow and Welch Ein Land - Was Für Manner by Extrabreit - which is a German punk band, mostly related to the Neue Deutsche Welle movement).
- I was also able to get one japanese release of The Doobie Brothers' Tolouse Street. I really wish to get some proper japanese music stuff such as Yellow Magic Orchestra and Casiopea.
- My favourite record is definitely Rush's Signals. It took me quite a while to get it since I got scammed twice by sellers on Discogs..I finally managed to get it after like..3 weeks and its conditions are PERFECT. Rush are one of my all time favourite bands and that record is vitally important to me. Also Rush vinyls aren't easy to find at all - unless you want to spend lots of money for it - but I was lucky enough to spend 30€ only for that one :) So let's just say that this album and the Doobie Brothers one are probably my 'rarest' picks.
- I would like to get more 80s synthpop / pop albums. I would love to own some Kate Bush, Japan, Duran Duran, The Human League stuff.. synthpop is definitely one of my favourite music genres along with Progressive Rock and Classic Rock :)
Here's a simplified list of my records tho:
- progressive rock / italian progressive rock
- classic rock
- italian folk
- classical music
- funk
- soul
- pop
- french pop + folk
- early electronic
- alternative (namely Talking Heads lol)
And finally, I keep my records in my library, but not all of them - my room's not that big unfortunately and I currently have just one medium library where I keep my books and dvds as well...oh and the record player + amplifier of course.
Thank you thank you so much for asking!!!Your curiousity brought a smile to my face, I just love when people ask me about stuff I like here :)

Polizisten · Extrabreit
Welch ein Land was für Männer ℗ A Vertigo Berlin recording; ℗ 1981 Universal Music GmbH
Released on: 1981-01-01
Lyrics:
