TAPE ONE , THE MEETING

08/23/18

hanni pham, the day she walked into y/n’s first period as a new student would be a day the girl would never forget.

she remembered it well too well even, hanni had walked in nervously and in a rush but still looking as pretty as ever.

“y/n are you okay?” danielle, y/n’s friend asks.

“yeah.” the love struck girl responds simply.

danielle giggles quietly at her friends actions watching as hanni tried to find a seat.

“hey can i sit here?” hanni asks, her voice soft as she was still rather nervous.

“oh yeah, of course!” danielle responds smiling.

“thank you.” hanni says smiling back.

y/n swore she felt the world pause as her and hanni made eye contact. they stared at each other for a bit before y/n looked away embarrassed.

“so what’re your guys names?” hanni asks trying to move away from what had just happened.

“i’m danielle!”

“y/n.”

hanni nods, “i’m hanni.”

“nice to meet you.” y/n says smiling sincerely.

hanni was caught off guard by this, ‘her smile is so pretty.’ she thought smiling back at the girl.

the girls only got closer over time even becoming friends with others, expanding the group.

though as time went on hanni and y/n’s feelings for each other grew.

and they couldn’t keep denying it.

TAPE TWO , WHAT IS LOVE?

“dani?” y/n calls out to her friend, who turns around to face her.

“hm?” danielle responds.

“what is your definition of love?” y/n asks.

“love is a feeling of affection for someone or something, there’s different types.” danielle says, “like you wouldn’t love your family the same way you love a romantic partner y’know?” she finishes, y/n nodding.

“so how do i know if i’m in love with someone, like romantically?” y/n asks softly, embarrassed to be asking her friend this.

“i mean whenever i have a crush i just feel really giddy around the person. my heart usually beats faster, or i get flustered.” danielle explains.

“so what exactly do i do if i have a crush on someone?” y/n asks finally.

danielle knew this was coming, she was glad it was finally happening.

“you confess. in my opinion it’s better to take the risk i guess, you never know if the person will move on because of miscommunication or something.” danielle says.

“okay, thank you dani.”

“anything for you, y/n.”

TAPE THREE , CRUSH

“hanni!” y/n yells, walking faster to catch up to her friend.

hanni turns around after hearing her name her heart melting as she sees y/n walk towards her. y/n had changed up her appearance a bit, seemingly that she had got her hair done and put makeup on.

“y/n?” hanni asks as the changed girl finally stops in front of her.

“i need to talk to you.” y/n says grabbing hanni’s hand and dragging her elsewhere.

hanni for sure was blushing now her mind still not done thinking about y/n’s new appearance. she looked so good, how could hanni not be stuck on it?

the two finally entered an empty classroom, y/n shutting the door behind them. they made themselves comfy before y/n took a deep breath.

“promise me you won’t hate me?” she asks.

“y/n i would never hate you.” hanni confirms, flustering the girl in front of her.

“i’m not really good with words when it comes to being romantic, so i’ll be as straight up as i can.” y/n starts, “hanni, i like you a lot ever since we met i felt different around you and i wasn’t exactly sure why.”

“but now that i am, i’ve wanted nothing more than to be yours. so will you allow me to?” y/n finishes, preparing herself for rejection.

not even hesitating, hanni leans in kissing y/n softly the two not pulling away until they needed air.

“so.. does that me you’ll be my girlfriend?” y/n asks teasingly.

hanni rolls her eyes playfully, “y/n, i would love to.” she smiles sincerely.

y/n flashing her same smile back from the day they first met, making hanni’s heart melt all over again.

“I ONCE BELIEVED LOVE WOULD BE BURNING RED, BUT IT’S GOLDEN.”

Hi, I came to report to you that your ql music research is rubbing off on me 😅 I was watching ep 2 of Ploy's Yearbook (for Joong and Namtan 😍), when suddenly I recognized a piece of music!! But I couldn't place it, so I tried to remember which series have I watched so many times that I'm familiar with the music. I reached the tentative conclusion that it must be from SIMM or possibly from Hidden Agenda (but I definitely connected it to JoongDunk). Maybe I need to do a complete rewatch of both series to confirm, what a hardship 😂 I just wanted to tell you that maybe aside from being a JD vampire bl truther, this will be your other legacy

oh my god, that's amazing!!!!!! i LOVE to hear that!!!!! i'm actually planning on making a side blog focused on shared royalty free music in thdramas, but that's something that is earliest going to happen in the summer if not in the winter. i wanna work my way through some of my fave shows first, because those are the soundtracks i'm more likely to recognize and i just wanna have them on my google doc before i go put everything in tumblr posts (which is also gonna take forever bc my google doc is currently at 100 pages worth of entries sjkfkjsfdj)

was it by any chance desert caravan by ludvig moulin? i haven't watched ep2 yet (i was actually about to go watch it when your message came in and i couldn't help answering it first kjdkfdg), but i did see a clip of it earlier in jimmy's insta story and the scene had this music in the background. it has come up in episode 1 already as well. if it was this, then good job on connecting it to a joongdunk show because it actually has come up on hidden agenda a couple of times! i'm still missing the last 3 episodes on my music collection, but these are the time stamps so far:

Natasha and Steve never thought that they would ever become parents. Because of Natasha's surgery or the fact that they're always working they just didn't have time for kids nor did they ever really want them but that all changed when they were assigned a very special mission.

Fury called Steve and told them that he has a mission for him and Natasha and they had to meet at SHIELD headquarters for final instructions

After Steve and Natasha were welcomed Fury took them into his office to tell them about the mission.

"For this mission, two young girls will be joining you so you will need to pretend that you are a loving family." Fury informed them

He handed them two files that contain information and a picture of both the girls. As Natasha studied the pictures it became clear to her that they were familiar to her

"I remember these two they were rescued from the Red Room." Natasha pointed out.

Suddenly the door opened and in walked Maria Hill followed by the same two girls that were in the picture.

Fury stood up and walked over to them. "This is Beth." Fury pointed to the older girl of the two. Beth had sandy hair and was taller and was appearing as very timid looking "And this is Y/N." He pointed at the other girl. Y/N was the complete opposite of her sister. She had brown hair and looked quite small despite her age and was appearing a lot more confident.

Just by looking at Y/N, Natasha could tell that she had spent if not all of her life stuck in the Red Room just by the way that she is standing and awaiting orders like nothing phased her anymore whereas Beth got to experience a life before it and still couldn't process all the horrors that she had seen.

After Fury had explained the mission it was time to go.

You and Beth followed Steve, Natasha and two other agents out to the QuinJet to begin your journey to France.

During the journey, you and Beth sat far away from Steve and Natasha as possible

"I can't believe that we were paired with them for the mission." You said to Beth in your native language which was Russian.

Beth sighed "How many times do I need to remind you Y/N you need to speak English and what's wrong with them any way they've been nothing but nice to us since we met them."

"The amount of bad stories I've heard about them says otherwise."

"Exactly Y/N you've heard stories just give them a chance."

"Fine." You mumbled under your breath.

The rest of the trip there was spent in uncomfortable silence.

When the four of you got to the hotel and finished unpacking Beth asked if everyone could go to the swimming pool which Steve and Natasha agreed too

it didn't take you long to really open up to them and start having fun.

Natasha was sitting on one of the sunbeds reading and when she looked up she couldn't help but smile at the sight

Steve held you in his arm and started gently rocking "Are you ready? Three, two, one." Then he threw you in the water.

When you swam back to the surface you couldn't stop laughing. "Again, again." You said swimming over to Steve then he picked you up and threw you into the water again.

Natasha checked her watch and it had just past 6 pm. "The first one out of the pool gets to decide where we get dinner." As soon as she said it she got the pleasure of watching the three of you wrestle each other on who would be the first one out.

You had won and you picked a small restaurant where the Eiffel tower could be seen from right outside the window.

Natasha listened to your and Beth's laughter and saw both your smiles and started thinking that maybe she did want a family after all so she made a silent promise to herself to make the most of the little time that she had left with you and Beth while she still can.

After dinner the four of you went for a stroll and they got you and Beth ice creams.

The walk got suddenly interrupted by a rain shower. Steve and Natasha grabbed your and Beth's hands and the four of you ran back to the hotel. luckily it wasn't far.

After everyone got changed into warm and dry pyjamas Steve started making hot chocolate for you and Beth and tea for Natasha.

While the hot drinks were getting made you found a pack of cards in one of the bedside table drawers.

After many card games were played and the hot drinks were drunk you started to get tired and laid down on the bed resting your head on Natasha's lap.

After Steve, Natasha and Beth quietly played a few more games together Natasha saw Beth yawn and took that as a sign that it was time for bed.

Beth cleaned up all the cards and Steve gently picked you up and placed you in the double bed that was in the other room.

Natasha pulled back the covers and Beth climbed inside

"Night, honey," Natasha said then she kissed her forehead and made sure that she was tucked in nice and tight.

Natasha then walked over to the other side and did the same with you. "Night sweetheart." She whispered.

"Night mom." You mumbled so quietly that Natasha only heard it because she was right beside you. A wide smile grew on her face and didn't leave all night. Even though she knew that it probably didn't mean anything but she couldn't stop thinking about it

The mission had come to an end and you and Beth were back at SHIELD housing accommodation. You both thought that it was the last that you were going to see of Steve and Natasha but you were wrong.

It started as them taking you and Beth out for activities now and then. They took you both out for meals, to the movies, bowling, zoos, museums, amusement parks, and tours around New York City none of which you've ever done till now.

It was Christmas day Steve and Natasha invited you and Beth to join them. One of the gifts that they gave you was an envelope that had yours and Beth's names on it. Beth let you be the one who opened it

Inside the envelope was the best gift that you and Beth, you especially, had ever received: adoption papers.

After being orphans for a long time you and Beth were more than grateful to have parents who love you so much and will do everything possible to keep you both safe.

ALSO! I try my best to note points for every character, but tend to get a little caught up by Bee (although I think I do a pretty good job with the notes regardless) so do be warned.

05:45 - The camera’s very fair away from Bee and there’s a loud noise. How haven’t the other bots noticed something’s wrong?

05:50 - this is much uncomfortable. Between Megatron being able to control Bee to the tone he uses when encouraging him.

05:59 - the transition from Megatron to Bee is so smooth I can’t breathe. + Ratchet calling out his name causing Bee to regain control is beautiful.

06:02 - Look at hiiiimmmmm awwww

06:03 - RATCHET’S SO HEAVILY ANIMATED I CAAAAN’T it’s almost like the animators forgot they are metal.

06:05 - with confidence ‘what?’ Also this is how my dogs look when I put their food in their bowls.

06:07 - I don’t understand why or how, but Ratchet looks stunning here.

06:11 - Bee proving that if he was bitten during an apocalypse he would tell the people around him.

06:14 - so remember before when I said that Megatron chilling in the darkness means one of two things?. Will the first one couldn’t be true, otherwise this line wouldn’t make sense.

06:17 - There’s something so interesting about the way Bee powers down.

06:19 - This shot just looks cool.

06:21 - Optimus looks so concerned. + Heavily animated Ratchet.

06:25 - Heavily animated Raf, huh.

06:25 - Optimus just silently standing their looking between Bee and Ratchet. It’s slightly upsetting to realise that he doesn’t say a word during this scene as if he wouldn’t have something to say.

06:33 - Man, I wish I could get that.

06:47 - that ‘why?’ is so done with Fowler.

07:01 - LOOK AT THAT SIZE DIFFERENCE.

07:13 - good thing.

07:40 - I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t. We are talking about the Arctic, right? As in the place that is sheets of ice floating on top of water? If it was the Antarctic, sure, but I’m pretty sure ice that melts without land underneath just melts, rather than increases water levels. I could be wrong though.

07:42 - my face when I realised that they added in this stupid B plot so that the A plot could focus on Bee, Ratchet, Raf and Megatron, but that came with the price of Bee struggling with something and the rest of team Prime choosing not to get involved or say a word on the matter, including Optimus.

08:28 - this means that Power down mode is not like a coma. Raf’s honestly wasting his breath because he’ll have to repeat the story later.

08:49 - 👁👄👁

09:13 - BOOOOOOO! M’kay, Imma stop hating on the subplot now. Just hope I’ve made it clear that I don’t like why it’s there.

09:21 - This is so amusing to see because it’s such a Scooby Doo sorta thing.

09:27 - Optimus flexes his hand just to ball it up again.

09:38 - Here we have a time when Prime is not a good start off show (that and because your standards get raised really high and you get thoroughly disappointed when other medias aren’t the exact same) because they don’t explain wtf ‘the end run on Polyhex’ was.

09:39 - Bee’s wings, when he’s powered down, rests at a lower angle, but when he’s awake we know that they point up. One idea could be that when he’s awake, they rest at a higher up state (cue fanfic prompt where a bot realises Bee’s awake because of the wings).

09:47 - ya’ll seeing what I’m seeing?

09:48 - That’s the opposite way to how he powered down. Literally. The angles, the movement. It the exact same, just in reverse. This ain’t a bad thing by any means.

10:06 - I highly recommend watching the way Bee’s pedes/feet work. It’s interesting.

10:30 - why doesn’t Ratchet think to a) call Optimus or b[ee]) FOLLOW BEE?? Why is he just standing there??

10:50 - why are so many bots blind in this episode?? HOW DID YOU MISS THAT?!

10:56 - from this you can tell that Megatron’s not used to controlling Bee’s hands/servos because he kinda fumbles when originally trying to pick it up.

11:14 - YES. YOU SHOULD!

11:17 - I get it. I do. But here’s the thing.. Bumblebee had just gone into Megatron’s mind, then later mentions that he’s seeing Megatron’s face, he’s now gone to the location that he doesn’t know after waking up from a forced power down! YOU COULD AT LEAST LET OPTIMUS KNOW

So that was Out of His Head!

I really enjoy the episode, but wish they had done a bit more with Bee being controlled by Megatron, especially if they had touched on the group noticing the little things more.

I mentioned at that start that TFP skips recovery arcs and that is certainly the case for Bumblebee, especially considering that for a bot loyal to Optimus, bringing back Megatron could be viewed as traitorous. Not by Optimus, but by Bee himself.

I also thought that Raf’s role was pretty weak. He didn’t actually do anything for the plot.

Then you have the very apparent part of Optimus not being as involved with the A plot as he should’ve been.

But I thought the animation was beautiful, the dynamic between Ratchet and Bumblebee was enjoyable and Bee being common ground for the dynamic between Raf and Ratchet.

Despite all the negatives, when you’re just watching the episode and not deconstructing it the way I do for the notes, it’s very much an enjoyable watch and I sincerely hope I haven’t ruined the episode.

Life or Death - Chapter 04

Summary: Anger issues and memories of a horrific past biting at her heels, Kenzie Ames is pulled back into active service. Sent to Top Gun to help train a handful of Navy Pilots on how to survive their next mission, Ames’ resentment and anger may hurt her and those around her more than she knows if she can’t get it under control. Secrets weighing her down, Ames soon finds a Lieutenant’s persistent desire to know her maybe more than she can handle as the clock ticks away the time she has to make sure that not only do they come home, but the part of herself she left back in the cold, barren, tundra does too.

Author Notes: I am out of practice writing fanfiction. Sorry. This is an OC x Bradly Bradshaw or Reader x Bradly Bradshaw. All 3rd person pov.

Several days had passed. Run after run. It wasn’t getting any easier and they had been running sims all day in ninety degree weather. To say it had gone wrong was an understatement. No ground crew, no preflight checks. It wasn't just flying the Su-57; it was a long list of things to remember and do before even getting into the fighter, and once that happened, getting it off the ground was proving challenging. Landing the heap of junk was taxing and nerve-racking. Not because Rooster couldn't do it, but because he was worried something else in the fighter would break. It was a stripped-down version of a Su-57 sans everything a pilot would need to survive just flying.

It had been one thing after another. Warning after warning.

Rooster was sure more than half of them were frozen solid due to the lack of canopy. The shield protected them from most of the wind shear, but the rest was extremely undesirable, to say the least.

Needless to say, Ames wasn't happy... she was far from it. Clear left field if Rooster had to guess by her blank stare and pacing.

"There is not going to be enough of you left to put in a pine box," was all she said as she paced back and forth before the line of pilots. Her hands on her hips in such an exasperated way, she reminded Rooster of his mother scolding him over a broken plate later in her years.

Rooster spotted Maverick sitting out of the corner of his eye with an intensely frustrated sigh. He hadn't excepted them to fail as badly as they did—but they had.

'Well, that happened,' Maverick thought, his cheeks blowing out with his sigh.

"That was just fuckin' spectacular!" Ames' abruptly shouted after several minutes of silence. Her sudden words caused Rooster and many of the others to slightly jump. Sarcasm bounced off the tarmac in declarative echoes against jets and buildings alike.

"You know I'm going to have to be that asshole," she said, turning to face them in her pacing. Sunglasses hiding her real anger from the group.

"I'm going to be the one that gets to explain to your family why they can't have a proper funeral," Ames said, pivoting on her heel. "I am not a nice person. You can bet your pretty little stripes that none of the holier than thou whatever-the-fucks will explain why you're dead to your family...but I will! I will be that mean fucker that gives it to them straight and explains exactly what kind of failure you are in very explicit words."

Ames' pacing picked back up, and she was now walking back and forth at such a rapid gait that when she suddenly stopped and turned around to look away from them, all eyes landed on her.

"But do not despair!" She said theatrically. "I will tell them not to mourn your loss but to celebrate! Hallelujah!" She threw her hands up to the sky in a wild prayer. "That one more major fuckup is no longer part of their family."

Maverick would have laughed had it not been the truth. Pilots were used to having certain things checked off the board and not having to worry about whether they would actually be able to land their fighter. But this was Major Ames' show. It had been the only reason she had agreed to all this in the first place. Otherwise, Maverick suspected she would have preferred a court-martial. Two years was a long time to hold onto hope.

"Sir, this is impossible," Phoenix said suddenly, breaking into Maverick's thoughts. Green eyes turned to her. "The wind shear and cold alone are enough, but we can't even go above eight thousand feet without air pressure."

Several heads turned slightly in shock at Phoenix's impulsive statement. More than half, if not all, expected Ames to start shouting. Hangman definitely did. Yes, he had even failed the first few times they worked the sim, though not as incredibly as the others. Though Maverick still had managed to nail him in the end, he thought he did alright.

"She's right, sir," Rooster interceded, stepping forward, ready to take the brunt of Ames' anger.

Staring at Phoenix, Ames' head turned, her eyes still locked with the other woman's when green hues finally traveled to land on Lieutenant Bradshaw at his full height. Silence filled the space around them while birds flew by, and the sounds of crickets in the late evening pulsated in the heavy June air.

At some point, Rooster stopped staring into a distant point over her head and started looking at her. Really looking at her. Their eyes met in the stillness, and he briefly watched a deep sadness sweep over her face before it disappeared just as quickly behind a mask he suddenly realized she was keeping.

"You're going to die," she said softly, and it felt as if only Rooster could hear her. As if the words were something meant for his ears and his ears alone. "And your pride won't even let you see why."

A faint sigh escaped her as her own sight turned to the horizon beyond him, and a memory she wished she could forget played across her vision as she backed away from Rooster and everything the mission reminded her of.

"Your dismissed," was all she said before she left the tarmac and the group of fighter pilots behind.

"Mav, what's going on?" Fanboy asked, looking at his friend Payback and back to Maverick. Sighing himself, Maverick stood stretching out his legs, hand running over the stubble on his chin.

"This sim is crazy. We've done some banana things before, but this is pushing it," Fanboy continued.

"Yeah," several of them agreed.

"We'll likely die or at least have some sort of long-term damage if we accidentally go over eight thousand for too long. How are we supposed to engage the enemy if we can't even follow them?"

"We're not supposed to," Hangman replied, looking over at Rooster. "That's what she meant when she said we'd die because of our pride. We'll want to engage if fired at. It's instinct. We'd turn and fire...but we can't. So she's saying our instincts will get us killed up there."

Phoenix stared at him in disbelief for a full three-count before she retorted, "You've got to be kidding me? Hangman got this right?"

Maverick shrugged his shoulders scarcely in an apology, eyebrows arched as if to say, 'I'm just as surprised as you are.'

Phoenix sighed, looking away, shaking her head incredulously as Rooster picked his helmet up off the ground where he left it, having tossed it in a fit of rage after failing the sim again for the third time that day.

"The sim she's got you running," Maverick started, hands slipping into his pockets. "Wasn't a sim for her. It was life or death. Fly or die."

Eurovision Semi 2

I was at work through the Semi so here are some very late notes.

01- Denmark: Reiley — “Breaking My Heart”. I swear you're a better Eurovision country than this. The song is catchy I'll give it that. Reiley had shaky vocals and sang exclusively to the camera the entire time. There are tik tok personalities like Sam Rider and then there are ones like Reiley. One has some stage presence the other only can make it work staring straight into a camera. I'm not sorry he didn't make it.

Sidenote- Daði Freyr? Love that for us

02- Armenia: Brunette — “Future Lover”. Not one I was feeling but shes talented. After Reiley I'm glad she didn't keep direct eye contact with the camera the entire time. Happy she escaped the placement of death unscathed though. Good for her.

03- Romania: Theodor Andrei — “D. G. T. (Off and on)”. The first song of the night I had downloaded. In the same category as Portugal for me. On Stage the artist is a sledgehammer of charisma. Some of the solo promo performances were much better than the national final. He's a great singer but he needed to rework the staging not the song itself. I love this one but I'm not surprised it didn't make it

04- Estonia: Alika — “Bridges”. It's a very pretty song. Exactly the kind of song that would qualify. I love her costuming but other wise forgettable.

05- Belgium: Gustaph — “Because of You”. Another song I downloaded but it's not one I listened to a ton. I was worried how this one would go down live. But it a lot of fun! I had a big smile the whole time. The backup singers were absolutely killing it. That's saying nothing of the dancer! Simple effective staging.

06-Cyprus: Andrew Lambrou — “Break A Broken Heart”- Yeah I didn't remember this one. It's catchy and I'm feeling it. I really like the staging with the water effect and the fog. The performer is Barefoot which always a good start (think it worked in his favor). Is it me or does it sound like Believer by Imagine Dragons? And with that I think I just talked myself out of liking it.

07- Iceland: Diljá — “Power”. I normally love Iceland in Eurovision. I'm surprised this one didn't grow on me. She's a talented performer and is giving it everything she's got. But not a song for me. I am little sad she didn't qualify. I want to see Iceland win one year and I hope we didn't lose our best chance in 2020 with "Think About Things"

08-Greece: Victor Vernicos — “What They Say”. Oh my god he looks like a baby. Repeat after me "not a song for me" (I'll say that a lot) but I liked this one. Hes got good energy. That being said, I really do root for the young ones swinging for the fences. I was rooting for the kid but understand why he didn't make it. I hope he keeps going with music and possibly Eurovision.

09-Poland: Blanka — “Solo”. Why the fuck is this here. Look at least she sounds like she's improved. That being said, hope she comes in last. NGL I skipped ahead when we hit the dance break.

10-Slovenia: Joker Out — “Carpe Diem”. Ok this is my favorite song of the year. Was a bit scared they were going to change the language to English when they released that version. Happy to see that wasn't the case. This performance was so much fun. Gonna be devastated if these guys don't make top 10. I knew they made it before I watched the replay but even still I was so stressed till they were announced. I was watching the Finnish broadcast and their hosts also sounded EXTREMELY stressed about them not getting called right away.

11-Georgia: Iru — “Echo”. Not even going to lie. I'm conflicted about this one. I love the way it sounds huge and bombastic. Iru can certainly sing. Love the staging but wish some of the dancers from the music video came in. At the same time the lyrics lean closer to worship music than a self-love song to me. It makes my skin crawl and I don't like it.

12- San Marino: Piqued Jacks — “Like An Animal”. I'm almost embarrassed about how much I like this one. I listen to a lot of alt rock and indie rock. I was primed to like it. This is another of my favorites and was on heavy rotation on my drives home. It's fun and catchy. It both makes me smile and want to dance. But I mean it’s a fine song. The performance at the national final was way stronger than the semi. It took the front man a good 2 minutes to get it together and start selling his performance. In a different year, if the stars aligned it could have made it to the final and it would have been in the bottom. I'm not surprised it didn't make it, but I am a little sad. Come on guys it wasn't a ballad! That's gotta count for something.

13-Austria: Teya & Salena — “Who The Hell Is Edgar?”. I said it before and I'll say it again. These guys had me nervous. Love the song it's been on heavy rotation. But I only saw one live performance before this and it was a fairly shaky one. Not tonight though. All cylinders were firing. My only note is I'm sad they didn't use the old guys in suits from the music video as the dancers. Also, please note, I am in love and so very fucking queer.

14- Albania: Albina and Familja Kelmendi — “Duje”. Again a "not my thing" song;. Nothing but respect for it though. A very heartfelt song and real family affair. But! Whoever compared them to the Addams family, I'm never going to not think of that now.

15- Lithuania: Monika Linkyte — “Stay”. Ok you might be expecting me to say this is another "not my thing" song... But I really really love this one. There are like 2 ballads that got me this year. This is one of them. The “ciūto tūto” hook is living in my head rent free. She's got a lovely voice and the emotion she puts into the song really sells it. It's a very heartfelt song and it makes me want to wrap her up in a hug.

16- Australia: Voyager — “Promise”. Ok remember what I said for Piqued Jacks. How I mostly listen to alt rock... Yeah I don't love this one. I'll take it over (most) most of the ballads but it's my least favorite out of all the rock leaning ones. It did get a download though! I will say out of everyone in this contest I felt like Voyager wants to be here the most. Australia wants to be in Eurovision. I would rather watch people who want to be here than people feeling eh about it. Please keep inviting Australia. I was going to be genuinely upset if they didn't make it to the final.

Bonus!

- The Drag Queens. Ok I agree with the consensus. How do I vote for them?

Side note: All the Big 5 (6) were downloaded.

-Spain. No words. I love this whole thing. It's dramatic and so very different from last years. I only wish they took more notes from the music video for the staging.

-Ukraine. Her name is Fashion. Not the staging I expected. I quite like it though. There is something very classy about this one as well.

Okay, I will. I was the anon that first figured out he's lip syncing TPWK. I saw the video of him in the heart overalls at Wembley and because I'm far too observant for my own good sometimes, immediately said, "...he's not singing." I then went on a 'research' tangent and watched pretty much every live performance of the song ever and found out he's been lip syncing it since the Love on Tour show in Colorado last year.

Here are a whole bunch of links. It's so apparent that all of the performances sound exactly the same in ways that are more than him just being a good singer. Same exact voice inflections in the same places, same exact riffs in the same places, same exact vibrato in the same places, same everything. No singer is able to sound 100% the same during every performance of the same song no matter how talented or how trained they are. It's literally not possible.

You can go through this or not if you want but you asked for receipts I'm providing them so if you don't at least watch the first couple, you have no reason to say I'm making this up. I'm going to give times so you can listen to the same part of the song everytime and nobody think I'm ridiculous for doing this cause I love doing shit like this and do it for a plethora of different topics:

My thoughts on Dr. Stone’s S03E06 (“Treasure Box”)

(Safe to read for anime-only folks.)

My thoughts after watching Season Three, Episode Six:

01. They are REALLY using 3D animation techniques to flex how awesome the Perseus and this part of the kingdom's journey are XD

02. I'm hearing the inspiring music again, while they're talking about the revival fluid! :)

03. The search for the treasure box begins! And that's exactly the title of this episode - "Treasure Box!" :D

04. The new voice actor they got to play Byakuya is doing a great job! I can hear the differences (the new voice is deeper, and doesn't have the cool gravelly effect the old voice did), but the new voice is still pretty close to the old one! :)

05. Ah, so they - or maybe he - taught their descendants about seashells, and probably way more information, too! :O

06. This "tell me the Hundred Tales" scene didn't go quite like how I imagined it, since the location is slightly different here. But Ruri still asks if Senku is prepared for what he's about to hear… :O

07. (The night-to-day lighting and bird transition was a nice touch! :D)

08. …and Senku is so totally NOT prepared. He was panting in exhaustion by the end of the Seventh Tale! XD

09. I love how Ruri starts with Kohaku's name - it makes so much sense for her to do that! :) Although for all we know, maybe that was how the tale about ores actually began, too… :)

10. Wait… so Senku approached Ruri at night. They went through Tales One to Seven through the night and part of the morning, until Gen brought them tea, presumably around breakfast time. Then while Senku is still holding the tea mug, he asks about tales about ores :D

11. Absolutely nobody would interrupt Senku and Ruri, so they probably stayed up there talking the entire time… and by the time they get to amber, gold, diamond, and platinum, it's sunset. So… THE WHOLE DAY was spent on just ONE Tale - the one about ores. So Kohaku may not have been the first one discussed after all… but wow, that's a LONG time for just ONE Tale… :O Although it's an extremely important tale, so details ARE important! :O

12. So Dunbar's Number is 150 - the ideal maximum number for a cohesive society… :)

13. Platinum… the ultimate treasure in the stone world, is sleeping in the treasure box… :O

14. And the treasure box is the Soyuz spaceship, the ultimate creation of humanity, made to withstand the highest of temperatures and the harshest of climates! :D

15. It's so sweet that Senku's so surprised about not knowing anybody's name! It's like he cares so much about the people of Ishigami Villages that he knows them all very well, and the idea of NOT knowing one of them is so shocking to him! :)

16. Kohaku just casually tells Senku that of course he doesn't remember the name, because he has no name… and Soyuz is just like, "It's fine; you can call me whatever" XD

17. That was a very, very understated reaction to the "I'm not actually from Ishigami Village" reveal - one of the rare times I think the anime didn't do the manga justice. That should have been MIND-BLOWING to Kohaku and Chrome… and Kokuyou, and everybody else! :O

18. His name is Soyuz, and he's going to lead them to the Soyuz! :D

19. And Senku understands the implications of this revelation immediately! :)

20. The people of Ishigami Village and the people of Treasure Island are distant relatives, because the very first Tale was about telling them to go to Japan (and probably included instructions how to do so, like by navigating using the stars or something)! :D

21. And just like what they kingdom of science discussed before, putting everybody on a ship had the potential of making humanity go extinct, so only some of them had to have kept trying over the years… and eventually, one group made it, and started Ishigami Village! :O

22. This is a good moment for Kokuyou. Even though he's not the village chief anymore, he (of course) still feels an extremely strong sense of responsibility towards the members of Ishigami Village, which is why he was so alarmed that the Treasure Island people they're sailing to could be Why-Man, and why he had such a sense of urgency when scolding Soyuz. AND he gathered himself and thanked Soyuz for coming forward! :D

23. He's still SO frustrated, though… and Kohaku puts a comforting hand on his back; aww! :)

24. "What exists beyond the horizon?" is a deeply human question that is within all of us! :O

25. Hmm, we got some anime-only Soyuz information… I… think… hmm, I haven't read this part of the manga in a while XD

26. Aww, that was a very kind thing that Gen said to Soyuz! AND Kokuyou agreed! :)

27. Not days… they're going to arrive in Treasure Island is just a few HOURS! XD

28. Kohaku and Nikki tried to Yuzuriha, but she's an absolute veteran when it comes to sitting through Senku's detailed, five-hour scientific explanations! :D

29. That's good information to know about stairs and ships - thank you, Ryusui! :)

30. Sleeping quarters, goats, a greenhouse, engines, storage, a… Mobile Lab… and so much more! :D And a squid, stingray, and shark underwater XD

31. Seasickness, and some scopolamine… whatever that is… from a flower to cure it! :) Just a small amount and Ginro is back to being confident about his being one of the people of the sea, saying they can handle themselves in a storm… :D

32. …and they actually DO get themselves inside a storm! :O

33. Ryusui's so chill, and Senku is so NOT chill XD

34. The storms will make things incredibly difficult for them, but it will provide them with much-needed cover, too! :)

35. Soyuz, after over a decade, is once again laying eyes on his home… Treasure Island! :D

36. Senku is talking to Byakuya; talking about how they're here at his Treasure Island; aww! :O

37. Oh, this episode! :) While a couple of moments didn't quite go how I imagined they would, I really liked seeing Byakuya again, and seeing Ruri talk to Senku about the Hundred Tales, and about the Tale about ores! :D The title of the next episode is "Ray of Despair, Ray of Hope" - and it's time for me to go and watch this episode now! :D

Returning to our old neighborhood, which belonged to the middle class, didn't quite feel like the right fit for us. We weren't exactly jumping with joy to be back in that familiar setting. As I started 6th grade, Wearing head covers wasn't mandatory yet. I would wear one going to school, but take it off on the way home.

Towards the end of the school year, the second floor of our house was finally finished, and we had our very first tenants moving in. They had a girl named Behnaz and a boy named Behrooz. Behnaz and I quickly became best buds. Every evening, you could find us in the yard, playing volleyball, dodgeball, or riding our bikes around. Of course, like any close friends, we also had our fair share of arguments and silent treatments. Behnaz had this silly side that always brought a big grin to our faces. I vividly remember this one hilarious incident when there was a knock on the door. Thinking it was Behrooz, she swung the door open while belting out a tune and playfully kicking her legs, not realizing who was on the other side. When she finally opened her eyes, she was met with the sight of two grown men chuckling at her little performance. In an instant, she covered her mouth in utter surprise, slammed the door shut, and darted inside. We couldn't help but burst into laughter right alongside her.

As the days rolled by, Behnaz and I grew inseparable. We shared secrets, dreams, and endless laughter. We would explore every nook and cranny of our neighborhood, discovering hidden spots and making them our own little sanctuaries. From climbing trees to building forts out of cardboard boxes, there was never a dull moment when we were together. We even created a secret handshake that only we knew, sealing our friendship with a special bond.

And well, that's pretty much all I can recall from the good ol' days, at least for now.

I yelled at Old Joe The Birdman today. He wasn’t treating the newly sanitized YETI cooler in exactly the manner that I had intended. He was just trying to be helpful. He wouldn’t hardly talk to me afterwards, and when he pedaled the Bike ERG he had over 100 RPM going on the pedals. Then he creeped out without saying goodbye. Fortunately his memory is deficient, so maybe he will come back Thursday and not remember how I mistreated him.

What a beautiful evening. Too bad the workout on Thursday will be during thunderstorms. In any case, we will do what we do.

Wednesday at 0800 we will enjoy the Wednesday Mom’s workout, which also will tolerate some Dad’s. Please come and bring a friend.

01. Do you ever use sleep as a way to cope with bad moods?

I used to. Not anymore, my sleep is kinda messed up.

02. What’s the most self-destructive thing you’ve ever done?

I guess my eating disorder counts as self-destructive. Probably self-harm as well.

03. Have you ever wanted to believe in something, but couldn’t?

Yeah, quite many things that I can’t remember right now. Wait, one of them was that eventually things would get better.

04. Right now, would it be scarier for things to dramatically change, or for things to stay exactly the same?

Change dramatically.

05. What was the last thing you lost sleep over?

Insomnia. Lol.

06. If you can remember what helped you fall asleep when you were a child, do those things still work?

No, absolutely not.

07. Do you have a favorite lullaby?

Not directly, but if anyone is familiar with that Turkish historical drama The Magnificent Century, I quite liked that lullaby that Hatice Sultan sung to her son.

08. Have you ever purposely avoided saying goodbye to somebody?

I don’t think so. It’s a strange question.

09. Was (or is) it difficult for you to watch your siblings mature? If you’re an only child, is it difficult to watch family members in general get older?

It was strange seeing my sister grow older, I can’t believe she’s gonna be 28 already.

10. What do you imagine are the best and worst things about being famous?

Lack of privacy.

Yeah. At some point my life was quite overwhelming.

12. Have you ever blamed an outside force for a problem you were having?

I don’t think I ever did. Sounds very much not like me.

I don’t watch movies, so I don’t know what music is wtitten ofr them.

o. You either like me for who I am or you don’t like me at all.

No. It can be written for or about a friend, or about general issue, i. e. war.

I do have a dream job and I don’t sacrifice anything for it.

Yeah, with my first ex. He wanted only my body. He didn’t get it, though.
