I'm working on a bit of a werewolf horror story. Here's the first bit. Very rough. Not edited. But thought I'd share.
Gore warning. And later the story is gonna have some shifted werewolf sex that's extremely noncon because this shit is gonna be dark.
Fair warning, I'm not a horror writer so don't expect the tension and stuff to be like... good. But still, I'm having fun and that's what matters.
Chapter 1
“These tunnels were used during the Civil War,” Josephine enthused, her voice echoing ominously against the stone walls, “I can’t believe no one’s been down here since then.”
“I can,” Gunther wrinkled his nose, “It reeks.”
Josephine inhaled deeply, a smile on her face, “It smells like history to me. Rich history. Just think of how many people used these passageways to escape the south two hundred years ago.”
“Can they help me escape the south now?” Jayce muttered in a voice that was clearly meant to be quiet and unheard but with the small space, it carried through the tunnel.
“Mood,” Talia replied wearily, “Josie, we should turn around before we get lost.”
“We won’t get lost,” she held up her smart phone, “I’m drawing out every turn we take. Relax, guys.”
The group pressed on, following the light of Josephine’s flashlight ahead of them. The tunnels were dark, musty, and damp. Each step echoed strangely around them in the tight space.
“Whoa, hold on,” Jayce breathed, “Shush.”
Everyone quieted and Josephine turned back to look at them, “What?”
“Do you hear that?” Jayce asked.
The group was silent, straining their ears. There was the sound of footsteps, soft but close. Josephine moved the flashlight to look around urgently.
“Hey, where’s Aaron?” she asked.
Talia said, “He’s right behind—” she broke off when she turned and saw no one was there. “Fuck. Aaron!” she called.
“Quiet!” Jayce hissed in a low whisper, their eyes full of concern, “I think something’s down here.”
“You-you’re being paranoid, Jay,” Josephine shook her head, though her voice sounded unsteady, “We better find Aaron though. He’s supposed to be filming.”
“You’re probably just hearing Aaron,” Gunther pointed out to Jayce, “Where’s the sound coming from?”
Jayce pointed a shaking finger down one of the tunnel’s branches.
“Then let’s go,” Josie said, leading the way.
The new tunnel was a tighter squeeze, forcing them to go in a single file. Josephine led the way confidently, her phone in one hand and her flashlight in the other. Jayce stuck close at her back, their own flashlight held tightly in their shaking hand. Gunther, the largest of the bunch, had to shimmy sideways through parts the smaller tunnel, slowly him down and creating a small gap between him and Jayce as he struggled to keep up. Talia brought up the rear, using her phone as a flashlight to keep glancing behind her, having the strange feeling that she was being watched.
The tunnel had a lot of curves, but no branches off it, giving the group no chance to change directions. Either they had to continue forward or turn back. And Josephine was no where near ready to turn back.
“Aaron!” she called, “Come on, this isn’t funny.”
No one responded.
“We should go home,” Jayce whispered fearfully.
“We have to at least find Aaron first,” Gunther pointed out.
“And besides,” Josephine began, “We’re nearly—oh!”
She broke off as suddenly the tunnel opened up ahead of them, into a large circular room. Josephine stepped into it, Jayce right at her back, as she looked around in awe. It was fairly dark, but the surprisingly tall ceiling had a grate in the center, opening up to the sky. Filtered sunlight trickled down into the center of the room, on to a raised surface.
Gunther was farther behind and Josephine already had begun examining the room with interest when he sgtepped in, Talia a few steps behind him.
“I don’t think we should be here,” Talia whispered, remaining in the tunnel, eyeing the room anxiously, “It seems—” her words broke off into a scream when she felt something grab her from behind.
Her scream startled the whole group. Jayce, who had kept themself pressed close to Josephine, lost their footing and fell with a yelp onto the raised surface in the center of the room. The yelp became an exclaimation of pain.
“Oh, shit,” a man’s voice came from the darkness of the tunnel.
“Aaron!” Talia pulled out of his grip and slapped his arm, “The fuck?”
“Sorry,” Aaron said sheepishly, a camcorder held in one hand, aimed at Talia’s face, “I thought it’d make a funny video.”
“Jayce,” Josephine breathed, rushing to their side, “Are you okay?”
“No,” they groaned, pushing themself up into a sitting position on the raised center and clutching their hand.
“Shit,” Gunther said, opening his pack and pulling out supplies, “You’re bleeding. What happened?”
“I fell onto this thing,” they pointed at the surface they sat on, “Something sharp went into my hand. It… ah…”
Talia moved closer and looked at the object. It looked like a metal grate with raised walls.
“Is this a well?” Talia asked as Gunther tended to Jayce’s injured hand.
“Looks like it,” Josephine said, looking down into it. She shined her flashlight into it. Jayce’s blood was on the grate, dripping down into the deep hole. With the light, Josephine and Talia were able to see dark shapes. Rocks, they thought, at the bottom.
“No water down there,” Josephine remarked, “Not anymore, at least.”
She looked up, at the grate in the ceiling.
“Strange. I wonder if people lived here,” she said, beginning to shine her flashlight around the room, “Maybe this wasn’t just for transit. Maybe it—fuck!”
She dropped her flashlight, clutching her chest.
“What?” Talia asked urgently, moving to Josie’s side and helping her steady herself on her feet.
Josie pointed a shaky finger across the room, “I thought I saw something move.”
Talia lifted her phone, shining its flashlight in that direction and gasped herself. There was a dark lump and with the movement of the light, it did look like it was moving itself. A second of observation, however, reassured Talia that it indeed was not moving.
“What is that?” Aaron asked, aiming his camera at it as Talia took tentative steps forward.
“It looks like… fur,” Talia breathed, moving closer.
“Careful!” Aaron warned, “Might be a bear!”
“These tunnels have been locked up for over a hundred years,” Josie pointed out, “Even if it was a bear, it’s dead now.”
Talia continued to step towards it. It was indeed fur. A lot of fur. Black fur. Without thinking, she reached out her hand and pressed it against the figure.
She let out a long breath as she felt stiffness beneath her hand. The fur itself was soft, but the flesh below was hard. Dead.
“Gross,” Aaron said, making sure his camera was catching all of it.
Talia felt overwhelming sadness as she stroked the dead creature’s fur. A poor creature had wandered into the tunnel, gotten stuck, and died. Alone. Starving. Never to be seen again.
“We need to go,” Gunther said, helping Jayce to their feet once their hand was wrapped, “Jayce needs to go to a hospital. There’s no telling what type of infection they could get from that.”
“But—” Josephine began to protest. A firm look from Gunther had her shutting her mouth, “Fine. Come on, Talia.”
Talia didn’t move, her hand still buried in the fur of the creature.
Aaron rolled his eyes and grabbed Talia’s arm, “Let’s go, beautiful.”
Talia looked back longingly as she was dragged into the tunnel, away from the hunk of black fur. She didn’t know why. It was just a dead animal. But she didn’t want to leave it.
“We’ll be back,” Josephine called as she lead the way through the tunnel, “There’s a lot more to find down here and I want credit for it all.
Chapter 2
“Did you hear?” Josephine asked as she collapsed onto her bed.
Talia sighed and looked away from her laptop, “Hear what?”
“A bunch of hunters were killed in the woods last night. Serves them right, hunting innocent deer. But it’s got everyone on campus thinking there’s a bear or something causing trouble. They’re implementing a curfew.”
“That’ll certainly mess up our plans,” Talia frowned deeply, closing her laptop and spinning her chair to face Josephine, “We’re still going, right?”
“Of course. Once I can get Gunther and Jayce on board. We’re just going to have to be careful who sees us leaving.”
“Jayce won’t come. Not after what happened. They’re lucky they didn’t lose a hand.”
Josephine shrugged, “It wasn’t that bad.”
Talia rolled her eyes, “Sure. If Jayce doesn’t come, I doubt Gunther will. It might just be us.”
“And Aaron.”
“Really?” Talia wrinkled her nose, “Why him?”
“He has a camera.”
“We all have cameras. They’re called cell phones.”
“Not with enough storage to record everything. Not unless we’re livestreaming and I didn’t get any reception down there. We need a real camera.”
“Fine,” Talia sighed, “When are we leaving?”
“Tomorrow night.”
“Night?”
“I have classes all day. It’ll be fine.”
“If you say so…”
~
“And another right…” Josephine said, leading the way through the tunnels.
“Maybe I should take the lead,” Aaron suggested.
“Josie’s the one that recorded the path,” Talia reminded him.
“Yeah, but she’s not good with directions.”
Josephine turned back to glare at him, “Since when?”
“It’s a biological fact,” he shrugged, “Women aren’t good with directions.”
Talia and Josie exchanged weary looks before Josephine returned her attention to the instructions she’d written on her cell phone, “I’ve got it for now. Thanks.”
With Aaron bringing up the rear, his camera on and recording, the group made their way through the tunnels. Josephine moved quicker once they found the skinny tunnel that they were looking for and before too long, they were there.
The circular room opened up before them, the moonlight trickling down from the grate in the ceiling.
“That’s… different,” Josie said, moving towards the well in the center of the room. The grate covering it was open.
“None of you came down here after we left, right?” Josie asked, shining her flashlight down the opened well.
“No,” Talia confirmed, lifting her phone to shine its light around the room, “Uh… where’s the bear?”
Aaron shifted the camera around, searching the room. There was nothing.
“What if it wasn’t dead?” Aaron whispered, “Maybe it opened the grate. Probably smelled Jay’s fresh blood on it.”
“It was stiff,” Talia shook her head, “It couldn’t… I mean… I touched it and it didn’t move. It was cold.”
Josephine let out a shiver and pulled her jacket tighter around her body, “I think we should go.”
“What?” Aaron demanded, “You’re the one that wanted to come back.”
She swallowed hard and shook her head, “I know, but… something feels wrong.”
“Yeah,” Talia agreed, “Come on.”
The group made their way hurriedly through the tunnels again, Aaron still following behind with the camera.
“Hold up,” he called, stopping and getting down on one knee, aiming the camera at the ground.
The two women backtracked to join him.
“Is that a bear paw print?” he asked, the camera buzzing as he adjusted its focus to bring the imprint better into view.
“Might be,” Josie breathed, putting her hand over it without touching it, “It’s huge.”
“Not a bear,” Talia said in a whisper, “Bears have more toes. That looks… canine.”
Aaron looked up at her, “Canine? Like a wolf?”
She shrugged, “Maybe.”
“Wolves don’t get that big,” Josie argued, “It’s like a foot long…”
“All I know is it’s not a bear,” Talia said defensively, “And… we should get outta here.”
“Right,” Aaron agreed, “Move.”
The group continued their hurried journey to the surface. They all breathed a collective sigh of relief when they were free of the musty air.
“My car’s this way,” Josephine said, beginning to lead the way through the trees.
Aaron walked beside Talia, his camera strapped to his back.
“So any plans this weekend?”
“I have a few papers to write,” she replied, “You?”
“I just thought maybe we could do something together,” he shrugged, “The bowling alley’s open again. You like bowling, right?”
“Kinda. I’m not very good,” she admitted sheepishly, “I haven’t played since I was a kid and they put the gutters up.”
He grinned, “Don’t worry. I’ll teach you.”
“Oh,” she replied, her voice going slightly higher, “That’s… kind of you. Like I said, though, I’m busy this weekend.”
“Sure, sure,” he waved a dismissive hand, “Next weekend maybe.”
“Maybe,” she agreed tensely, “My workload is pretty big this semester though.”
“Well, maybe we could study together and--”
He broke off when a scream ahead of them interrupted his words.
“Josie?” Talia called, breaking into a run to catch up to her friend.
As the pair ran, Aaron quickly readied his camera, turning it on. They found Josephine, who was standing still, her body vibrating as she looked ahead of her.
Talia followed her gaze and saw, leaning against a tree, a bloodied human figure.
“Oh, fuck,” Aaron breathed, his camera buzzing as it zoomed in.
“We must’ve passed him on our way in,” Josie breathed shakily, “But we didn’t look back so we didn’t see…”
“Is he dead?” Aaron asked.
“Go check,” Talia hissed, holding Josie’s shoulders comfortingly.
“Why me?” Aaron demanded.
“Go!” Talia repeated.
“Fine,” he grumbled, camera aimed at the figure as he took tentative steps closer. Once he was near, he saw the state the body was in. One arm was missing, a chunk was taken from a leg, and its neck was barely more than a giant gaping wound. “Definitely dead. Oh… huh…”
He knelt down, the camera focusing on the ground near the body.
“What is it?” Talia called.
Aaron looked over his shoulder at the women and said darkly, “A giant paw print.”

hi there! Saw that your request are open again and thought I'd give them a try!
Sigma, of course Where reader has the ability to reincarnate herself after she dies *is killed in this case* but it causes amnesia until something from the previous life triggers memories. (A great time for sigmas ability, just saying) If you would, listen to this song and whatever inspiration strikes you from this. Could be a story written exactly as the song plays out or a more loose interpretation. Qing Hua Ci - Jay Chou https://youtu.be/Z8Mqw0b9ADs
Dont feel rushed or obligated and have fun with it! :D
So fun fact about me, I actually don't speak Chinese (assuming it is Chinese cuz Google translate says it is) but luckily I have a friend who speaks Chinese whom I'm gonna force ask nicely to translate the song :) the song sounds really nice tho!
My friend did not want to translate the song and Google translate is talking about embryos.
The name (after being translated to Polish so probably incorrect) sounds very pretty (it translated the name to blue-white porcelain and in English it's just blue white which is confusing at this point)
Two people and two apps later and I'm only more confused with what the lyrics are supposed to be
So idk how the ability is supposed to work so I'm gonna make something up

You woke up in a bed, you had no idea who you were or what you were doing. There was a man with an interesting choice of hair colour and style sleeping in a chair by your side. You didn't know who this stranger was or what he was doing, you didn't seem to be in a hospital and he wasn't wearing doctor wear so he probably wasn't a doctor but then who was he?
It was night time but you weren't tired, you stood up to look around the place hoping you will see something or someone who can explain who you are or where you were. You were dressed in sleeping garments, were you just sleeping and the person was looking over you?
You walked around a bit until you heard a silent gasp coming from the room you awoke in. They must have awoken and realised you were gone. You walked over to the room to find the guy frantically looking for something or someone. 'You're awake! Oh I'm so happy you finally woke up! I've missed you.' He spoke as he ran up to give you a bug hug.
'Who are you?'
Those words seem to shatter the man's heart, but who was he? Luckily he didn't keep his identity a secret. With a sniff he said 'I'm Sigam, your fiancé, and you're y/n l/n, the love of my life.' He said with a smile, that did explain why he was sitting in the chair. 'You have an ability which will reincarnate you after you die but you get amnesia, your memories can be restored if someone triggers a memory. I have give people information with my ability but the person will faint. Do you want your memories restored?'
He explained further while bringing you to the bed once more. 'Were my memories any good to remember?' Sigma was a bit taken aback by your question. 'Everyone has good and bad memories.' His voice was so soft and sweet no wonder you were to be married. 'Alright, I want my memories back, what do you have to do?' You wanted to see what your life with hum was like and what it would lead to. 'Just lie down on the bed.' You did as told and felt his hand on yours before everything around you turned black once again.
You woke up the next morning, the same situation but this time you knew who you were and who Sigma was. With a smile on your face you woke Sigma up with a small kiss to let him know your memories were back

The song was very lovely (I listened to in on repeat while writing this).
I want to learn mandarin Chinese (along with other languages) and I even have a very useless ig guide to mandarin Chinese or something which I haven't looked at yet but maybe in a couple of years time I'll learn it.
Have a lovely day/night!

how ENHYPEN members would teach you the 'korean language'
Tumblr media
! believe it or not, this prompt formulated inside my head as i was trying to sleep AND i didn't initially thought of doing this prompt for ENHYPEN but for SEVENTEEN members instead but i thought my followers were mostly ENGENES so yeah. (i might do svt ver. too hehe but yk how i'm a wreck with writing and uploading with what i said i was gonna write and upload)
-----------------------------------------------------------
measuring the chaotic-ness during teaching time from least to most :
heeseung , jay , jungwon , sunoo , jake , sunghoon , riki
-----------------------------------------------------------
[HEESEUNG] · he would be the type to teach you the basics first, very thoroughly and also very careful with how he words it so you'd understand clearly. like a gentle but serious classtime for more effectiveness. he would probably make you do homeworks like write the basic syllables and forming sentences.
[JAY] · if heeseung's serious with teaching, he's more serious. but you guys would probably have better communication since he's also a fluent english-speaker. he's like hee but less with the gentle part. more of like a teacher-student dynamic.
[JUNGWON] · same with jay, someone who is serious with teaching. though i feel like he's the type to teach you modern korean, not like those textbook version ones. he'd teach you the colloquial terms for everything and you would sound so native in no time.
-----------------------------------------------------------
[SUNOO] · sunoo makes everything fun which is wowie and he would teach you in his own way like telling you gossips and you would ask him what he said meant and he would tell you. but during serious biz, he would act like he can't boss you around and when you tell him that this or that is too difficult, he'll let you slide — in fact, he always lets you slide. there's never a session where you guys aren't laughing.
[JAKE] · would giggle at you everytime you get something wrong and even sometimes has giggle fits where he wouldn't stop giggling 'cause of how silly your grammar was. a lousy teacher, like he wasn't fit for teaching things he was made to laugh at people teaching. one thing that would make you choke down your own saliva is whenever you remember and notice that he has an accent when speaking in korean, like he brings his aussie accent when speaking korean.
[SUNGHOON] · a very moody mentor... he usually gets frustrated when you're not efficient as he's expecting you to be. but when you do, the lesson flow is smooth like you guys are just talking casually. yeah, he's the type to insultingly laugh at you if you get something wrong as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------
[RIKI] · the most chaotic one out of everyone. not that he's not a native korean but more on he keeps on forgetting what word is what. he would absentmindedly shrug his shoulders and say "i don't know" in a pouting tone. if the forgotten word is really necessary, he would eventually say "let's ask [name]-hyung." and you both would actually wait for a reply for that. he's the combination of everyone — he easily laughs at the dumbest things ever, he would giggle if you got the wrong answer for his question and the giggle's loudness would depend on how silly your answer was. he would sometimes zone-out, trying to think of the word he's gonna say next.
-----------------------------------------------------------

The Chosen One (Jay Park fiction)

Chapter 3
"Hi, come in!" Junwon greeted you with a big grin, guiding you through dimly lit hallways.
"What is this place?" You asked, unsure of why Junwon would want to meet you here.
"A studio!"
"I can see that, but what are you doing here?"
Before he could answer you entered a big room, dark, except for the ceiling lights that imitated the night sky.
"Oh, annyeonghaseyo." You said, bowing your head slightly.
"Annyeong!" Everyone replied in tune. They looked at you sternly, as if they were trying to confirm something.
"This is my friend from New York, Ji Won."
"Oh, jamkkanman, you're the burger sajangnim!" You blurted out when you spotted Loco.
The rest broke out in frantic laughter. "Burger sajangnim! Daebak!" Simon Dominic wheezed.
"You can call me Loco."
"I'm Simon D, by the way."
"I'm Woogie. Nice to meet you."
"Annyeong, I'm Hoody and this is Sogumm." The shy girl with the luscious black hair waved at you.
"Annyeong!" You chirped back.
"I'm Gray, and this is Ja-"
"I can introduce myself." Said the man who until this point watched the scene unfold from a distance. Upon hearing him speak you cracked a smile. "I'm Jaebeom." He extended a hand and you shook it, the smile never leaving your face.
"Hi." You spoke barely above a whisper.
"Sit, sit." Hoody insisted, sandwiching you between her and Sogumm.
"So, where are we here?" You asked, looking around. Actually you were more curious about why Junwon asked you to meet here.
"The studio." Junwon stated as a matter of fact.
"You keep stating the obvious, as if I'm stupid!" You retorted, eyeing him.
"It's not my fault you keep asking stupid questions." He countered, sticking out his tongue at you.
"It's our studio. We're artists, rappers, producers." Simon D explained.
You pointed to Junwon, incredulous. "Him too?"
The crowd once again erupted in laughter.
"I like her, she's funny." Someone said but you couldn't make out who it was.
"Hey! I'm a great rapper. Tell her hyung!" Junwon protested, looking at Jay for confirmation.
Your eyes landed on Jay who was still chuckling. He was dressed in a tight fitted shirt that laid bare most of his 'bad boy' tattoos. But when he smiled he turned into a cute marshmallow. At least that's what you thought.
"He's alright!" He admitted and you laughed out loud. "I can't picture you rapping, I'm sorry."
"You're gonna eat your words real soon." Junwon threatened, while getting up and pressing a few buttons on a laptop.
"Now you made him angry." Woogie whispered next to me. "But it's okay, we usually make fun of him anyway."
"Listen to this."
*plays Antisocial by pH-1*
"Oh, you're actually decent! And you can sing too!" You sounded genuinely surprised, yet you couldn't wipe the smirk off your face.
"Forget it!" Junwon threw a tantrum, ready to turn the music off.
"Play ‘Giddy Up’, your part is straight fire." Woogie suggested cheekily.
You raised an eyebrow at Junwon. "Now why would you keep such a gem from me?"
You listened to the whole song intently, several oooh's and aaah's escaping your lips when you were particularly into a certain part.
When Jay's verse came on you locked eyes with him, raising an eyebrow and nodding along.
"Jeongmal andwaessgunyo, she likes Jaebeom's part more." Simon D said to Junwon, wheezing.
"You're all really good!" You exclaimed, trying to sound nonchalant. "Although I know nothing about korean hip hop or korean rap so I'm probably not qualified to talk anyway."
"Wanna listen to more?" Gray suggested and played Drive, not waiting for you to answer.
"Ige mwojyo? You just want to brag!" Junwon mockingly said. "You see V, Gray is actually a producer but because he's a decent singer too he gets to sing on the tracks occasionally."
"Algesseoyo!" You grinned at Gray.
So he's not just a pretty face!, you thought.
Soon the conversation shifted from music to you, with everyone asking multiple questions. About your life, your job, why you moved to Korea. Eventually Simon D asked the one question everyone was dying to hear the answer to.
"So, are you single?" At first you didn't know what to make of the question.
What are his motives? Is he just curious or is he testing the waters?
Cautiously, you glanced over at him. You couldn't deny that he looked good, he just wasn't your type.
"Unfortunately I am! I blame my job!" You eventually said.
"Jinjja?" Woogie asked surprised.
"Actually, I got dumped because of my job!" You added and everyone gasped audibly.
"Gwaenchanha! He probably wasn't the one." Simon D offered as comfort.
"Geumanhae, oppa! Don't you see she's uncomfortable?" Hoody turned to Simon D.
"Oh, gwaenchanha, gwaenchanha!" You quickly replied.
Jaebeom was about to ask you something when your phone rang. "Oh, sorry, it's the hospital. I have to answer this."
You exited the door but didn't close it all the way. "Hello. ... What? ... Who? ... No. He was fine when I left. ... Have you talked to Min Young? ... Of course I can. ... I'll see you tomorrow."
You ended the call and put the phone back in you back pocket.
"Is everything okay?" Junwon asked when he saw you walking in with furrowed brows.
"Yeah, well, there's this trainee that started working with us last month. She's constantly causing trouble and the more experienced nurses always have to watch what she's doing otherwise she might kill someone."
"Sounds stressful to me!" You heard Jay speaking up softly.
"On a slow day it's no problem, but it's been a while since we had one of those!" You tried to play it down but if the light in here was any better, they would all be able to see the dark circles underneath your eyes. No amount of makeup could cover those up.
"So, what do you do to relax?" He continued.
"Huh? Oh!" The question caught you off guard. Was that curiosity, too?
"Usually I go to the gym. If the weather's nice, I go for a run afterwards, or a hike. Or both!"
An awkward silence fell upon the conversation and everyone was looking to their left and right, trying to decide who would take one for the team.
"I should get going then, I need to get up at 4.30am tomorrow."
"Sure." It rang from all directions. Only Jaebeom remained silent.
"It was nice meeting all of you! Really! I haven't been here long and besides my colleagues I don't know anyone." Your voice trailed off.
"Don't worry! You got us now!" Hoody came up to you, beaming. You mimicked her smile and thanked her.
You waved goodbye and left the room. Junwon insisted on seeing you out. Inside, Jay rubbed his temples, sighing occasionally.
"What's wrong, hyung?" Woogie put an arm over his shoulder while the rest cleared the room.
"It was a disaster!"
"No. It was fine!" His friend tried to console him.
"No, it wasn't. It was awkward. I was awkward. The gathering was a mistake. She probably felt awkward, too! What the hell was I thinking?"
"Don't jump to conclusions. Let's wait for Junwon to come back. You can ask him!"
"Ask me what?" Junwon entered the room, closing the door behind him.
"It was a disaster!" Jay simply repeated, sounding like a broken record.
"Do you have time to talk? Usually you're on your way to the gym at this hour." Junwon pulled up a chair and sat down when Jay nodded frantically.
"You see, V has always been the unconventional type. She dedicated herself to her job for the past ten years. In many things you two are very much alike. She's determined, always focused and hard working. Unfortunately, that's where the similarities stop. V is no party animal. She's the exact opposite. She never dated-"
"Never?" Woogie exclaimed in disbelief and both Junwon and Jay glanced at him. "Sorry!"
"She would always friendzone the guys she met. She said that they were a nuisance. Other girls in her circle would get dolled up, trying to get the guys' attention and she would simply start a conversation about politics or cars with them. She's not a tomboy either, just someone who hates to pretend to be someone she's not. You know what I mean? Everyone called her a wild horse and wondered if there was anyone on earth who could tame her. Then five years ago she met Brian and though nobody thought they would last, they almost got married. Just now she told me that he left her because she would always put her job first. She told me she had a lot of fun today, but she felt as if she was too plain, too boring for us. She didn't say it, but I think she's convinced that her job is standing in the way of her having fun, living life, you know?"
"I feel bad for her, she's such a cool person to hang out with!" Woogie mumbled.
"I think it'll be best if I meet with her alone, maybe she'll open up to me more." Junwon directed his words at Jay.
"Uh, that's a good idea!" Jay said absentmindedly. "I'm off to the gym."
"Did you see his face?" Woogie asked Junwon when he was absolutely sure Jay had left. "The last time I saw him like this was when..."
"I know!" Junwon admitted, looking worried as well.

"Ow," I grimace and bite down on my lip to keep myself from crying out in pain. "Will, you said it wouldn't hurt!"
"Sorry," Will apologized as he continued stitching up my arm. "I have to make these tight so that they don't come loose."
"I know. It's fine," I reassure him. "I'm the one who got hurt. How long is this gonna take again?"
"5 minutes," Will replied. "Why?"
"Truck is waiting in the lobby for me," I tell him. "They requested that the company be taken off of service while I'm here, so I don't want to keep them waiting any longer." A few minutes later, just as Will was finishing up my stitches, a man approached the door clad in a bulletproof vest with a gun at his side.
"Hey, Will," the man greeted. "You got a minute."
"One second," Will murmured and tied off the last stitch. "And done. You're all set to go, Y/n."
"Great. Thanks," I say and hop off of the exam bed.
"Oh, but before you go, I don't think you've ever met my younger brother. Y/n, this is Jay Halstead. Jay, this is Y/n L/n," Will introduced.
"Nice to meet you," I return and glance at his vest. "You work at the 21st? I'm good friends with Kim and Adam."
"And you work at Firehouse 51," Jay noticed. "I know practically everyone over there."
"But we have yet to meet each other until now. Interesting," I comment and grab my helmet from the foot of the bed. "Now, while I would love to stay and talk, I've got to get back to work, and you need to have a chat with your brother. Will, I'll see you next week to get these removed. And Jay, I hope I see you around."
.............................................
Smoke flooded my vision as I used my hands to feel around. I had given my helmet to a little girl to get out safely, but now I was inhaling a bunch of gray smog, and I couldn't see where the exit was. Finally though, I saw the light of the bright blue sky up ahead, and I rushed towards it. Once I was outside, I descended the steps and slumped to the ground as a fit of coughs racked my body. That's when a bottle of water was extended towards me, and I took it gratefully, chugging a good amount of it.
"Thank you," I breathe out.
"No problem," the voice reciprocated. At the sound of the voice, I looked up and was met by the face of Jay Halstead. It had been about 2 weeks since I had last saw him, which was a bit disappointing since I wanted to get to know him more, but he was probably just as busy with work as I was. "You okay?"
"I don't think so," I exhale and stand up. "I've gotta go see Sylvie and Violet to get checked out. Smoke inhalation is no joke."
"Will was right. You really are prone to injury," Jay noticed.
"It's a curse and a gift at the same time," I joke. "On one hand, I get to see all my friends at Med, but getting hurt is not something I look forward to."
"Right. I was gonna ask about something, but I'll just find someone else to talk to," Jay spoke.
"Everyone from the house is at the ambulance over there," I inform him and nod my head to the right.
Jay smiled. "How'd you know that's what I wanted to ask?"
"I just had a feeling," I answer.
"Okay. Thank you. You should uh, you should go get checked out," Jay reminded me.
"Yeah," I murmur. "I hope you find what you're looking for." Three days later, before my shift at 51, I swung by the 21st District to talk to Jay. I had some important information to relay that could be of help to him. I walked into the lobby, and when I approached the front desk, I was met with the smiling face of Trudy Platt.
"Y/n," Trudy chirped. "What are you doing here? You've got a shift in less than an hour."
"I know. I'm here to talk to Jay," I notify her.
Trudy frowned. "Detective Chuckles? What do you need him for?"
"I think I have some information that could help with Intelligence's case," I say.
"I'll buzz you up. Follow me," Trudy ordered. She led me up a set of stairs and pressed her palm against the scanner, and seconds later, the door swung open. "He's right up there."
"Great. Thank you," I mumble and head up the stairs. In the bullpen, I found Jay sitting at his desk pouring over files. The rest of the desks were empty, and I couldn't see any of the other members of Intelligence. "Hey, Jay."
"Y/n, hey," Jay returned. "What's up?"
"That arson case you guys are working on....I may know something that can help solve it," I assert. "But first things first. I'm gonna need a map of the building the last fire was at. And you should probably get the rest of your team down here."
..................................
"All right, so when we went back to do a cleanup of the building, we discovered that the fire started in the basement," I start and gesture to the spot on the map in front of me. "And four other houses in that area have also had fires in the past week, all starting in the basement as well. Every single time we've had clean up, we've found a weird white powdery residue on the floor, and the labs came back positively identifying it as codeine."
"Codeine has recently become popular amongst some of the richer neighborhoods because it's not as deadly as heroin and it's a bit more expensive," Adam put forth. "But in the past two weeks the want for it has rapidly declined."
"Right, so I've got an idea. It may sound stupid, but hear me out. All of these families that have had their houses burned down have amazing insurance policies, meaning that they are gonna get a big payout once the claims go through. So I was thinking that-"
"They purposely set the fires," Jay realized. "So that the money they'd get from their insurance holders would balance out the debts they have because of the drug profits."
"Exactly," I confirm. "I've been thinking about this the past few days and I just couldn't get past it, so I thought I'd come by and share my idea with you guys."
"Well, I'm glad you did," Jay voiced. "I think you're right."
"Lets go suit up," Kim instructed. Her and the others then left the room, leaving me alone with Jay.
"Thank you for coming down here. You've been a big help," Jay told me.
I waved him off. "It was no problem. Seriously. Look, I've got to get to my shift, but once you figure out what's going on, stop by. I'd like to know what really happened."
"Will do. Thanks again," Jay called out to me as he went to join his other team members. Later that same day, I was lounging on my bunk reading a book when Kelly poked his head inside of the room.
"Y/n, you've got a visitor on the app floor," Kelly alerted me. I nodded and set my book down, following Kelly back to the apparatus floor. And to my surprise, Jay Halstead was standing near the open garage doors.
"Hey. What are you doing here?" I question.
"You told me to come by once we solved the case, which we did 10 minutes ago," Jay shared. "And you were right. Dead on, actually. All of the house owners were involved in dealing codeine, and they wanted the insurance money to pay off the loses of the past few weeks. You know, if being a firefighter doesn't work out, you should consider the police force."
I laughed. "Well, if that time ever comes, I'll think about it. Thanks for coming down to tell me. I appreciate it."
"Thank you for your help," Jay reiterated. "We couldn't have done it without you. So, to show you my gratitude, I'd like to buy you a drink at Molly's."
"Jay, you don't have to do that," I argue.
"But I want to," Jay claimed and extended a card towards me. "Here's my card. Call or text me once your shift is over and then we can meet up." The night my shift ended, I met up with Jay at Molly's, and the two of us settled into a table at the back of the bar.
"So, after spending an absurd amount of time with your brother at Med, I've noticed that you two are quite different," I report to Jay.
"Good different or bad different?" Jay quizzed and took a sip of his beer.
"Good different," I reply. "You guys are like complete opposites, yet you still manage to get along pretty well."
Jay shrugged. "Yeah, I couldn't explain it to you even if I tried. So, which of us do you like better then?"
I shook my head. "I can't answer that. My response would hurt Will's feelings." Jay laughed, and I couldn't help but smile at the sound. Getting to know Jay was something I had been wanting to do since the moment I met him. "Seriously though, you guys are both awesome. I couldn't choose between the two of you."
"Yeah? Well what if both of us were to ask you on a date?" Jay implored.
"Huh," I hum and look around the bar. "Well, Will isn't here at the moment, so it wouldn't be too hard to decide, now would it?"
"Okay then. Y/n, would you want to go on a date with me sometime?" Jay asked.
"I would love to," I respond.
Jay smiled. "Great. There's this amazing pizza place that I think you'll love."
"Pizza just so happens to be one of my favorite foods," I comment. "So you're off to a good start already. And now I can't wait for this date."
"How about tomorrow then?" Jay posed. "I could pick you up around 6."
"That sounds great," I say. "But, until then, I want to know a little bit more about your life. So, Jay, got any good police stories you want to share?"

Great Gatsby au pt. 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey guys sorry for not posting lately I’ve been super busy! But school is gonna let out soon and I’ll be able to update a lot more :) so I hope you enjoy the second part to my Great Gatsby au a reader x Theseus fic
Word count: 2,802
Warning: mentions of smut
The fireworks burst over the mansion in array of colors. Everyone cast there eyes upward to see the light from them shimmer down. A chorus of oohs and ahh's mingled among the crowd. But your eyes remained in the balcony where Jay Gatsby has been standing a moment ago. Theseus kept his eyes on you watching the blues and pinks form the fireworks highlight your skin in a warm glow.
He thought about how breathtaking you looked in this lighting and how he had been in love with you from the moment he saw you at that memorable quidditch game. How he had spent basically the last decade watching you gallivanting around with other men.
Coming by your apartment in the morning with breakfast only to find some random guy stumbling out of your apartment in only his trousers, pulling his shirt over his head. And Theseus would turn to go home because those moments were the hardest.
He needed to talk to you about his feelings because as he watched you stare up at the balcony he knew that if he didn't someone else would take his place. Gatsby was all that was swarming in your mind.
He watched you make a move forward. You darted straight into the crowd of people that blocked the stairway. Theseus tried to grab onto you and nearly missed your hand. But he secured it and pulled you back, you stumbled into his chest.
"What's the rush?" Your face heated up as you let yourself enjoy the moment of having your face pressed against his warm chest. He swayed slightly to the music, he had his hands placed on your hips and you could feel them ever so slowly sliding their way down lower.
"We need to find Jay Gatsby, you know the drill." You looked up with your big doe eyes. He started at you watching your (y/e/c) eyes reflect the colors that surrounded you.
"Well yes but no one said we couldn't have a little fun." He pressed himself closer to you and twirled you around slowly. The music was fast pace and you weren't with the tempo of it but you didn't care. His cologne was so strong and you were so close together it felt as if you were the only two standing in the room.
You forced yourself to snap out of the moment and push slightly away. You felt his grip loosen. "We're on a mission Theseus not a date." You said with a slight edge in your voice.
Theseus have you a hurt expression but he quickly covered it. "Fine. But it seems as if your mind is on something else other than just taking Gatsby in for interrogation."
"What?" You asked surprised.
Theseus pursed his lips and titled his head up, his eyes still stayed on you. He took his arms away from you and crossed them over his chest. "I think you fancy Gatsby."
You rolled your eyes, but heat still consumed your face. "Theseus that is-"
"Absolutely true." He cut you off.
You looked up at him. Why was he getting so defensive? So what if you liked the way Gatsby looked. It was hard not to.  "Why don't you like Gatsby?"
"I never said I didn't like him."
"Well you're acting like you despise the man when you never even met him." You cross your arms over your chests mimicking Theseus' stance.
"And you're defending a man you don't even know. One who is a criminal in bootlegging alcohol and one who is known to be a womanizer." He spat at you. You took a step back, never in your entire time of knowing him had Theseus talked to you like this. With coarse words and distaste. He never lost his temper with you and you knew something was off with him tonight but you just couldn't place it.
"I know what he's described as being. And so what if I "fancy him" we're not here for me to snog him or for us to fix his morals. We're on a mission and I'm going to get the job done whether you help or not." You turned on you heel before even seeing his reaction.
You didn't know if he was calling out your name, it was too loud to hear anything around you. You pushed past people to get to the stairs that led to the balcony. You would mutter a few excuse me's but it was all lost in the noise of it all. You didn't turn back you figured he would probably follow you; he always did. He never wanted you to get hurt.
As you walked in long strides you glanced around you noticing the number of women that had shown up in warring nothing but their bras and panties which covered basically nothing. Theseus' words came flodding back to you, one who is known to be a womanizer. You noticed that theses women too had wandering eyes as if they too were looking for Gatsby.
One girl who was wearing red lingerie and a big feathery headdress let her eyes wander over to Theseus. She licked her delicately painted lips and swayed her hips as she walked over to him. She was nearly his height with her enormous heels on, she didn't even need to tip toe to whisper in his ear like you did. She draped an arm around him and leaned in whispering something into his ear. You felt jealousy squeezing tight into your heart. He remained expressionless as she ran a hand through the back of his hair. He kept his eyes locked on you. You turned a light shade of red.
You quickly turned away you didn't want to see her undress him with her eyes. You still prayed that he'd follow you although by now he was probably sliding her panties down her legs and taking her the way you always dreamed he'd do to you. Running his calloused hand over the curves of her breasts. You'd shook your head in hopes of getting rid of those revolting thoughts from your mind.
You made your ways to the top of the stairs and stood at the top of the balcony gripping the rail. You turned behind you and noticed that Theseus wasn't there. You were naive to believe that he’d follow you after the way you spoke to him. And after that girl had made a move on him. Of course he wouldn't tag along he would be with that girl.
Speaking to him like that was surreal. You never raised your voice at him and come to think of it you'd only ever seen him raise his voice at work. When he was on the phone or with unmanageable employees. As soon as he'd see you though he'd regain his usual cool composer. Pushing back his hair, a few curls always escaped the gel when he got riled up, straighten his tie. Then if he was on the phone he'd cover it and tell you it was just a little spat. If you had walked in on him yelling he'd lower his voice and talk to the employee through clenched teeth in a stained tone until you left. Once you were a couple paces past his door you'd hear him yell at the employe again.
It always made you giggle to yourself. The fact that he not only never wanted to seem cruel to you by raising his voice but wouldn't even want to raise his voice in your presence.
Even on the days when you were completely insensible and would yell at him. He would just sit there and take it because he knew he wasn't the cause of your distress. He knew that you were probably having a rotten day and just needed someone to be a sounding board for you. Even though he could yell back because it would be completely justified he didn't. So he sat there and took it because, unknown to you, he loved you.
You leaned on the rail and looked out into the crowd. You saw him and noticed that the skimpy girl was no longer wrapped around him. She was a couple feet away with a huffy expression. Theseus stood alone in the middle of the floor, he had  a glass of champagne in his hand, his eyes still looking with this longing gaze at you. You were so mesmerized by his stare that you didn't notice someone had come to stand behind you.
"It's a wonderful view isn't it." A warm breath tickled your neck and you jumped in surprise.
Jay Gatsby was standing behind you. "No need to be frightened baby I don't bite." His American accent was charming, he gave you a toothy grin as he moved to stand next to you, leaning against the rail with his hands in his pockets.
"What if I bite?" You questioned.
"Feisty. I love that in girl. I like the ones that don’t fall for charm so easily." He moved a little closer.
"What does your charm usually work on most women?" Your face was dusted in a light pink.
"Usually." He bit his lip. "But you seem to be the exception miss."
"Well its a pleasure to be the first to do so. " You batted your eye lashes at him.
"May I ask your name."
"It's (y/n) (y/l/n)."
"A beautiful name for a beautiful woman."
You rolled your eyes playfully. "Does that usually work."
"It has so far but I see all my typical tricks aren't gonna work on you. Pleasure to meet you (y/n) I'm-"
"Jay Gatsby." You cut him off. "I know who you are. Me and my boyfriend were looking into getting into your bootlegging business."
His eyes brows crinkled together as a scowl settled into his features. "You have a boyfriend." He said it like a statement not like a question. He grabbed two glasses of champagne from a passing server. He handed one to you.
"Yes. But he's not so good at," You paused to take a sip of your drink. "keeping me satisfied. If you know what I mean." You played your role so well it had Gatsby fooled.
"I believe I do." He placed his hand on yours. "It's a bit loud at here don't you think? Why don't we go some where," he leaned in brushing your hair back to whisper in your ear, private." You nodded
You looked into the crowd, Theseus was still watching you. He raised his glass up to you as fireworks exploded behind him. A soft sad smile played at the corners of his lips. He then took a sip. That was all you saw before Gatsby led you away from the noise.
********************************************
Theseus watched you disappear into the darkness with Gatsby. He made his way to the bar, you knew what you were doing you could take care of your self. He tried to convince himself that you were seducing Gatsby for the mission not because you actually wanted to get into bed with him.
He ordered a drink from an older man, he slid the glass down the bar and Theseus took it giving the bar tender a nod in response. He fiddled with his glass watching the liquid swish back and forth.
He shouldn’t have snapped at you like that. But he couldn’t bear to see you with one more guy. Especially someone like Gatsby who he knew could be the one that could con you into a life with him. You were meant to be with him. He thought about all the things you would do together and how you were practically already a couple, expect without certain benefits.
Theseus would come over to hang out Friday nights. His favorite day of the week, in which you guys would go out to dinner or to the cinema. It would make him feel like you two were actually going out on a date.
He would get all dressed up and bring flowers over. He looked forward to it and you would dress up. You would put on your best dress and heels. You both would walk down the streets of London together or wherever you wanted to go, if you wanted to travel you guys would just apparte there.
Hand in hand and people would comment on how cute of a couple you where and when you wouldn’t correct those people he would feel like maybe there was a chance that you liked him back. When you’d blush and say yes he’s a good boyfriend and he treats me well.
He needed to tell you. It had been practically a decade that he had silently suffered by your side. Playing the best friend, trying to pretend that he didn’t care when you flirted with other men. How you’d lick your lips or lean over on their desk so they could see down your shirt.
It was worse when he caught you in the act. Although it was just once. He’d never been able to get the memory out of his head. He had come to surprise you with dinner on your way home from work. He had a key to your apartment and it was Friday night he didn’t think about knocking. Because it was his night when you guys were supposed to go out. He dropped off the food he had brought on the counter. He had gone to your favorite restaurant in London and brought your favorite food. It was about a year or so, he had been planning on telling you about how he felt that night.
He closed the door behind him and placed the food on the counter. He shrugged off his jacket he called out your name but heard no response. He twirled the keys on his hand. He figured you were probably in your room. He walked in with out thinking. “Hey (y/n) I just brought over some-“ he stopped talking. He had just walked in on you riding some guy from work. Your breasts were on full display for him.
When you saw him you screamed and turned a bright red telling him to get out. Trying to cover yourself with the blanket from the bed. He quickly shut the door and left your apartment, all thoughts about confessing to you pushed back to the very back of his mind.
The only thing that consumed it was the memory of you riding that guy. And now as he drank more and more the memory care rushing back to him. He’d never been able to get the memory out of his head. They way you moaned so lowly and then slowly got louder. The way you’d encourage the guy mumbling yeah yeah right there and praising him every time he hit that spot. The way your tits bounced up and down every time you would plop back down onto that guys dick. The way you back arched and your body was covered in a glow of sweat. You were an absolute goddess.
He could only imagine what it would be like to having you riding him. And he knew he had no right to think about you in that way. But at times like this when he was slightly drunken or when he was totally wasted and would stumble home this thought would consume him. How it feel to have you ride him mumbling praise and screaming his name. The fact that he’d get to touch you in places he only ever gotten to in dreams. How great it would be to kiss you with so much passion, to see you at work covered in love bites from the previous nights dirty deeds.
He shook his head trying to clear his mind of theses thoughts. Theseus downed the rest of his drink. He needed to tell you before Gatsby found his way to his bedroom and slid your sparkly dress down your ankles. He needed to find you and tell you how he felt.
Because after all this time it wasn’t just lust. It wasn’t just that he wanted you as if you were some prize to be won. He loved you. And he couldn’t stand to watch you love any more men. Because you were meant to be with him.
He pushed away from the bar and began to walk briskly towards the stairs talking them two at a time when he reached them. He only prayed that it wasn’t too late and he’d catch you and Gatsby. Because he knew that if he did there was a chance he could never win you back. There was a chance that for once you might not come back to him.

James: my actions certainly aren't good enough Ava: Almost definitely Ava: I can't say 100% but a good 99% James: you don't have to say anything James: I'm in my wet clothes today, that's all Ava: You don't have to excuse yourself, ever James: don't I? Ava: Not with me James: that wipes out well over half of my current vocabulary, just so you're aware James: it won't be an excuse that I'm speechless around you Ava: We'll work it out together Ava: I don't mind not talking for a while and just James: I'm going to be here until it's very late but if you can get away, I'll say I'm staying even later Ava: Yes Ava: I can make it happen Ava: People are here but I can get out James: me too then Ava: I don't care if it's five minutes Ava: well, I do Ava: but I'll take it James: I definitely do James: but it won't be James: the girls will be asleep before I'm done, I'm not rushing home for her Ava: Then rush to see me James: I promise James: I know you don't want me to, but I do Ava: As far as promises go Ava: that's a pretty good one Ava: they're like cliches James: I'll work through lunch for the possibility you'll be awake by the time I'm allowed to leave Ava: I can catnap if necessary James: oh, well now that's a mental picture I wish I had Ava: Sadly I can't take photos of myself sleeping Ava: and I don't think I can promise I'll waste any time with you napping Ava: 🤔 James: I'm so very conflicted James: what a dilemma James: but we'll be able to solve it when my dad decides I can be trusted on business trips Ava: 🤤🤤🤤 Ava: Please come through for me J I James: knowing him it'll take a while but I'll come through so he'll have no choice but to do the same Ava: All the faith Ava: and Monday when you come over you can have a preview of what to expect Ava: for motivation James: in order for you to keep it & for him to begin to harbour any, I should go James: but I feel very motivated at the thought, so thank you Ava: You've got this Ava: Later, love James: [let's skip then chicken, come at me drunkenly lol] Ava: You probably can't reply Ava: but I wish you were here James: [a dramatically long pause because imagine how extra weekends would be] James: but you're having fun? Ava: Hey ☺️ James: hi Ava: It's alright Ava: everyone's going a bit hard James: I'm sure your brother would happily throw them all out for you Ava: That may be Ava: but he is not invited James: that wouldn't stop him if he's still anything like I remember Ava: 2 kids and a wife might Ava: ha James: from being a protective older brother? I don't think so James: you either are or you're not Ava: yeah but my cousin is here Ava: so no need for the 'adult' supervision Ava: it's cool James: I'm happy to hear it James: there's no opportunity for me to drag Teddy home if he's there & he wouldn't thank me for it Ava: that's a bummer Ava: though I've already sacrificed him once tonight so rude of me James: to who? Ava: said cousin Ava: he isn't actually who I had in mind but you know Ava: be weird if I ❌ James: it sounds very romantic, I have no doubt he'll be thrilled Ava: Yeah it's like Paris in here tonight James: it's like Venice here, by which I mean flooded Ava: ??? James: 🛁 Ava: ahh Ava: awh Ava: 🐥🧼🧽💙 James: so yes, I'd say I wish you were here too, but I can't Ava: that's fair Ava: someone is in my bath alas James: theirs was meant to be hours ago so the chaos is somewhat relatable Ava: uh-oh Ava: I did think it was more like 💤🛌🌃 James: it's actually really far past that time too Ava: yeah Ava: you must be knackered James: if only I could join you in a drink Ava: There's still plenty 🍾🍾 Ava: I'll leave a full one out on the step Ava: for the milkman, like James: 😂 thank you, Ava Ava: my curtsy is so real James: that reminds me, I like your outfit Ava: 🥰 Ava: you're always nice Ava: are you wet? James: drenched, of course James: but actually not in the metaphorical sense Ava: Yay Ava: I'm happy James: are you smiling? Ava: cheeeeeese James: 📷 Ava: I'll take a real one for you Ava: but not right now James: [the longest pause ever like is he gone or what? but no he's just trying to sort the chaos out of course] James: later is an undeniably tempting prospect Ava: all dry Ava: what are you doing now Ava: a story James: well guessed James: would you like to pick it for us? Ava: You have to make one up Ava: a happy ending, naturally James: & there has to be a dog involved or Jay will be very angry indeed Ava: Frank! James: Oh right, I forgot you have one Ava: He's very angry indeed Ava: 😡 James: about the party? Ava: No Ava: about being forgotten Ava: he isn't actually here he's been dogknapped James: he'll forgive you Ava: me! James: yes Ava: you forgot him Ava: he's devastated James: you haven't taken enough selfies with him Ava: are you questioning my love James: I'm not but he could be, that's what I'm saying Ava: this is a sad story James: I'll do a re-write Ava: good idea Ava: he's on holiday James: working on his tan James: you two are very competitive about it Ava: well we've gotta be summer ready Ava: his diet is going awfully though James: he's lucky he doesn't need to go on one James: it was purely hypothetical Ava: he likes baked beans with the lil sausages in James: what do you like? I can't picture him happily sharing Ava: 🤔 Ava: that's a big question Ava: chinese food James: [when you know he's gonna send her some tomorrow for the hangover bye] James: can you use chopsticks? Ava: yes Ava: v dexterous Ava: shame that's not a sexy skill Ava: like cherry stems James: it could be James: you doing it Ava: 🥢 grab your tongue with that boy Ava: 🤭 James: it could work to shut me up James: but it's only making me laugh right now Ava: I like when you talk Ava: and laugh James: I used to be able to do that cherry stem party trick Ava: you'll have to show me Ava: we'll get some, see if you can do it James: It's been years, I probably can't Ava: you don't lose skills like that James: it's not a real skill, it's a boast Ava: yeah Ava: an implication of other skills, I know James: we all tried it out to mock the girls over how 'easy' it was but only a few of us could do it actually Ava: wink wink nudge nudge is how boys do Ava: 'course Ava: don't always have to back up a boast James: especially when it's one you made in another life Ava: nah Ava: i'll judge you and be so disappointed James: Ava! that's outrageous Ava: that's me James: you're supposed to not even be hypothetically disappointed by me Ava: I'm also not meant to lie to you James: okay, I'm backed into a corner, now what? Ava: what I would do to you if I had you in a dark corner right now is not suitable bedtime story-telling Ava: unless you wanna be up all night James: some stories demand to be told regardless James: & I wouldn't be upset about being kept up for as long as this one takes to be told Ava: You're the storyteller Ava: I'm a journalist, I like to report what happens James: [writes her a very sexy essay right here and right now about the life they should be living in the dark corner, like soz Jimothy you've been usurped as the writer & poet in residence] James: well then, you can tell me what's happening to you Ava: I don't know if I can describe that Ava: how you make me feel Ava: like you're here Ava: the only person here James: I think you've described it perfectly Ava: you are perfect James: no Ava: yes James: Ava Ava: James James: you're not meant to lie to me Ava: I'm not James: it's not true, it can't be Ava: opinion can't be wrong Ava: you can say i'm not well-informed if you wanna Ava: but i'll still think it James: I'm not at your party, I won't ever be able to be there Ava: you don't have to be at my party James: but you wish I was James: that's compromise, it can't be perfection Ava: only 'cos I'd rather be with you Ava: because you're so perfect James: if I don't give you what you want, I'm not perfect Ava: i want you Ava: as you Ava: i can miss you and i can wait Ava: i don't need anything else from you James: I don't know who I am Ava: i see who you are Ava: who you could be James: but I could become someone else James: like my dad wants James: like my wife wants Ava: you can't change who you are Ava: even when you try really hard James: you can lose who you are though James: & I have Ava: I'm telling you, I can see you Ava: even if you can't James: when you stop looking at me, it's going to be really hard Ava: I'll only stop if you tell me to Ava: no other reason James: if I tell you to it'll only be because I have to James: for your own sake Ava: you don't have to worry about me James: it's not the 1st time I've done this or had to stop doing it James: I know I have to worry about you Ava: i don't think i'm special Ava: but i know you like me too James: I think you're very special Ava: but i don't care if you can't be with me Ava: well, i do Ava: but i mean i'll be your friend no matter what Ava: you need me and no one can stop me Ava: not your wife or my brother or anyone James: the problem isn't who my wife is or who your brother is, the problem is that I don't care James: that's dangerous Ava: i said i wouldn't cause trouble Ava: and i won't let you get into any either Ava: not 'til you're ready to face it James: I've never met anyone like you before James: it's the most ridiculous cliche Ava: i know Ava: and I've never felt like this before Ava: so there we go two for two James: it's none of my business & you're under no obligation to answer me, but is that because you've not dated a lot of people before or in spite of everyone that you have dated? Ava: you're so cute Ava: I've dated plenty of people Ava: I liked a lot of them, some of them I thought I loved but then it was easy to be friends with them so I don't know, I think it was just that Ava: this is different, whatever it is and whatever they were James: understood Ava: did you date much James: I wasn't looking for that when I was in school & I'm not allowed to seek it out now James: I had a lot of sex before I got married & after but it's far from the same thing Ava: sure Ava: you weren't getting to know them as well as Ava: that's how lots of people operate James: I didn't intend to get to know you, Ava James: I don't know how it happened Ava: I'm not going to apologize for it James: please don't Ava: can i ask you something though James: of course Ava: did you just wanna sleep with me 'cos you thought i was cute or was it anything to do with who my brother is James: why would it be anything to do with him? Ava: i don't know Ava: 'cept i know him and i know there's history there James: I don't hold any grudges against him, we were all liars & fakes then James: all I cared about was my expensive drug habit & sleeping with as many girls as possible Ava: okay, i just had to ask Ava: things can be confusing enough without worrying about shit that ain't even real James: there's history for you too, it's not about any of that, is it? Ava: no Ava: it isn't James: my wife & your sister have so much history James: honestly more than me & her have Ava: i know Ava: but i'm not gonna exact revenge on her behalf via you James: I doubt she'd want that, she's not Chloé James: I don't believe there's anyone capable of holding onto something for as long & as tightly as she can Ava: I don't know Ava: I'm sure her therapist would tell her grudges are pointless but I don't reckon she can live that truth James: at least she has a therapist Ava: hooray for her James: I should probably get one, instead of talking to you like you are Ava: its what you should do Ava: talk to people Ava: work it out together Ava: nancy can't talk to anyone James: all my adult conversations are carefully overseen & orchestrated, it's only her laziness and the inescapable necessity of my parenting that has stopped the way I talk to my children from being put under the same restrictions James: what she did to Nancy was James: & that's only what I can remember Ava: its fucked James: it's already started with Jay James: if I can't find a way to stop it Ava: you have to James: I know Ava: you know its abuse don't you James: It doesn't matter what I know if nobody else knows it James: believes it Ava: how can they not, everyone knows what a total insane bitch she is Ava: sorry James: you don't need to apologise for telling the truth Ava: i'm not trying to make getting out sound easy though when it so clearly isn't James: it wouldn't be that hard for me to get out Ava: with the kids, or access to, though James: she says Jay's not mine whenever I criticise anything she says or does regarding her James: maybe she isn't James: her sex life was as active & varied as mine was Ava: wait Ava: what James: it's what she says if my bags are packed & nothing else has worked James: because I'd never see her again if she's not biologically my daughter James: but she can't say it about Matty, the dates line up too well Ava: are you on Jay's birth certificate? James: yes Ava: then you either are, and you have rights, or she knowingly lied on an official document but also, gave you full parental rights in the process Ava: if she really is lying then she has to incriminate herself and there's more than a case in your favour James: I don't know Ava: she got you to marry her under false pretenses, she stole years of your life James: it'll just be more of her bullshit James: of course she's my kid Ava: she'd do that? Ava: jesus James: she'll say & do anything to stop me from leaving James: in other circumstances it'd be flattering Ava: does she love you James: does it sound like love? Ava: no think she loves you then James: she thinks she's come this far James: not many of my friends would have agreed to marry her if they'd been put in the same situation James: if any, from the ones I had at the time Ava: i just wanna know what she gets from it Ava: she doesn't work or go to school, right? Ava: you seem to do most of the parenting James: isn't that the answer then? she gets a lifestyle that started out easy financially thanks to my parents & has been made easy by me in every other aspect James: I told you, it's my fault Ava: okay, granted but like she's happy to settle for not being crazy in love, just tolerating her kids and having no ambition of her own? at 22, 23? its not as if her parents would let her starve, Christ.. it'd be sad if she weren't evil and happy to take down you and the kids with her James: as I also told you, I've given up trying to figure her out Ava: sorry James: no, I am James: you don't need to worry about this Ava: yeah i do James: no James: you're a 17 year old at a party, Ava James: you shouldn't be worrying about anything Ava: don't patronize me James: that's not how I mean it James: I like you & she'll take you down too if you aren't careful James: I don't want that Ava: no she won't James: if you think that we shouldn't do this Ava: do what James: see each other as much as we are Ava: why not Ava: because i'm not duly afraid of chloe James: because you don't understand the risks Ava: again, don't patronize me James: do you want to end up like your sister? Ava: that won't happen James: it could happen James: & I'm not worth it Ava: it won't Ava: if you don't want to see me then that's your choice Ava: i think you're making a mistake but you're entitled James: I do want to see you James: I so badly want to Ava: then don't put a stop to us James: just please be careful Ava: I'm not afraid to like you James: Ava Ava: I'm just not, okay Ava: and even if i were, i couldn't stop myself and i won't so there James: you're really gonna age me horrifically, aren't you? James: 👴 Ava: well i do only like you 'cos you're older, obviously James: well, the back cover of the book can be all my worry lines Ava: 😂 Ava: sexy James: I can't make everything I do sexy like you do, darling Ava: don't joke i'm trying so hard to seduce you here 😏 James: I'm not joking James: you are & everything you do is Ava: Monday needs to be here now James: will you dance with me when it is, because we can't now Ava: only if you hold me really close and even tighter James: that I can do Ava: come on Ava: say you will James: of course I will Ava: James James: yes? Ava: I wish I could call you James: I'll go outside to smoke, wait a minute Ava: me too Ava: can't hear myself in here James: [another dramatic pause] James: okay Ava: the perks of being one of the only smokers Ava: and its warm out still Ava: i love summer James: it's a bad habit, but I've had worse James: & I still like winter the most somehow Ava: sorry it looks sexy and I've got a rep to maintain Ava: when were you born are you a winter baby James: January Ava: knew it Ava: awh its not your birthday for ages James: & you only like me because I'm older, I remember James: you must be truly devastated Ava: mhmm Ava: hurry up and hit 30 so we can really make it a moment James: you'll have me looking 30 soon enough James: all these smoke breaks Ava: not if you get to talking please and thank you James: you're supposed to be calling me James: as you wished it Ava: oh Ava: wanna facetime Ava: assuming 🥴 this is not my face James: you could still 'make a moment' I'm sure James: & I probably look better blurry Ava: shut up Ava: you're beautiful James: so you don't want to talk to me, you want to look at me? James: understood Ava: I wanna listen to you talk Ava: [ring him bitch] James: [telling her a story of everything he wants to do on Monday & it's hot & cute & funny & a mood] Ava: you're so so lovely Ava: stick around please James: you're quite drunk Ava: if I was drunk I'd say lots more James: you are so you can James: I'm listening Ava: no Ava: 🙈 James: you're not afraid of my scary wife but you're afraid of me? Ava: no Ava: but I'm scared of feeling crazy, being Ava: a little madness is key but James: I don't think genuinely crazy people are that self-aware typically Ava: maybe James: You're not crazy, Ava Ava: thank you Ava: probably not curtsy worthy but still James: you've devastated me, but I'll hide it expertly Ava: 😞 nooooooo James: I'll dedicate a suitable amount of book pages to it James: but otherwise, be utterly unaffected Ava: as long as that's the only conflict you're planning Ava: know it propels plot but I'll be very sad James: you'll get your happy ending, that means more to me Ava: you too James: that'll require a very long re-write Ava: maybe Ava: the middle can be shit though Ava: think that's writing 101 James: 😂 Ava: come on Ava: reluctant hero is a great trope James: I'm more of an anti-hero James: it's less about reluctance & more that I lack the necessity attributes, like courage or a trustworthy nature Ava: there's plenty different ways to be a hero Ava: there's plenty different ways to be heroes Ava: it isn't all capes and a misplaced sense of authority and vigilante justice James: I'm aware of that, but isn't the advice to write what you know? I'm hardly surrounded by viable examples James: you can't play every role, darling Ava: or write for the life you wanna have, the person you wanna be Ava: usually advice reserved for making you buy shit suits but I think it applies James: that explains why I've never heard it, in that case Ava: 😏 you were born in a tailored three-piece right James: if my parents were authoring the story, absolutely Ava: as much as parents love me Ava: probably not result in my happy ending James: or mine Ava: no Ava: we'll save that meet-cute James: thank you James: though it's unlikely I'll curtsy either Ava: shame James: I can add it to Monday's to-do list if your heart is set Ava: Your Monday sounds very busy as is Ava: I wanna help you relax and feel good not run yourself into the ground with curtsies etc James: you're sweet Ava: come taste me James: your party guests are bound to notice me Ava: I know Ava: I'd make them all leave if you could though Ava: but you can't James: no, I can't Ava: it's not long to wait Ava: just feels it James: it'll go faster for you, half of it spent in bed Ava: ha Ava: actually will have to entertain children too, worst of all my brother Ava: he's as annoying as he is protective etc and will definitely make me spend time with him before he leaves so we can have Monday James: it's a shame a playdate is out of the question Ava: even if I stole his Ava: can imagine your wife's joy to bump into us at the park James: she'll be far too busy shopping or having brunch with her friends Ava: then tell me it's still not feasible before I think it actually is James: it's a bad idea James: isn't it? Ava: it must be Ava: it's too good James: your brother wants to see you, he'd probably invite himself anyway, right? Ava: Probably Ava: but what if I show up really early and annoy him all day Ava: hype the kids up too James: 😈 Ava: there is one problem James: is there? Ava: my cousin will probably wanna come Ava: idk how I'm telling her no James: you said you'd already sacrificed my brother to her once James: how did that go? Ava: I've not been 👀 on 'em Ava: but I see 😈 what you're saying James: if get Jay to insist that he brings himself & a jumper for goalposts, he might Ava: oh Ava: no we can't James: you don't think it'll work? Ava: I told her some stuff Ava: not about you specifically Ava: but she can't meet you, obviously, she's not daft James: why would you do that, Ava? Ava: I didn't tell her anything James: that's obviously not true Ava: well she has no idea who you are James: you can't tell anyone about us James: I shouldn't even have to be saying that Ava: I haven't Ava: I told her about a boy Ava: I'm sorry but it's not going to affect anything Ava: she's not from here, she's not gonna say anything and she's got nothing to say anyway James: if you've told her enough that she could figure out who I am from seeing me at the park, you've told her too much Ava: I'm saying if your brother is there, it's just obvious Ava: I'm trying to be careful James: it doesn't matter, I'll see you Monday as previously arranged Ava: Well it does Ava: I'm sorry Ava: I'm just saying I don't think I can pretend you're just Teddy's brother, there's no point James: I agree Ava: I can tell her it fizzled out soon okay James: like you said, it won't affect anything Ava: you're still angry James: it's a frustrating situation Ava: yes James: I'm not angry at you James: I shouldn't have done this Ava: Be angry at me Ava: it was stupid but I'm not Ava: I won't tell anyone anything James: I know you're not, how smart you are is one of the 1st things I noticed James: but I obviously need to be smarter Ava: You don't want to do this James: I think we should slow down, you won't have to lie to your cousin & I won't get so carried away Ava: okay James: it's for the best Ava: alright, so what does that look like James: I don't know Ava: just let me know then James: I'll call you Ava: 👍 James: okay Ava: later then

Lol thibis eric's org
Trixie
If all goes as planned, Shea is gone! We purposely threw the comp to get you out. I just wanna say it's nothing against you as a person, I would have loved to work with you but we all felt you were going to be a problem later on so we had to send you home now.
I feel really bad that I had to vote Zack out especially with him being a newbie. I also feel awful not letting Roxy in on our alliance. Hopefully with merge she can join us. She really doesn't deserve to get voted off so soon.
So we threw the comp yet again and it worked - Zack is out. I would have liked to work with him but I knew he'd be a vote for the other side once we merged. Nehe's voting confessional for him was BRUTAL. It makes me scared if I ever got a vote from him. We had yet another tribe swap, back to 3 teams again. I travelled through tribes and landed on Skua with basically all my alliance minus Austin. I hope he manages to stay safe so when merge comes we can reunite as the Outsiders.
I wonder who Adelie is gonna send home, huh?
QuilLynn
I feel bad blindsiding shea tonight, i genuinely like him and would have liked to work with him. I think the tribe swap fucked him over a bit because he picked people who were already closley aligned (like nehe+trixie, austin+zack) for me right now the safe and smart thing to do is take out shea. I do want austin gone soon though, because once we merge he'll be a huge threat because he has connections on both sides.
so that immunity was a mess. The day started out good, tribal went as planned and we got out shea and going into the new immunity we thought we stood a chance and were genuinely going to try to win, however, knowing that bodhi and kelsey are probably on the bottom of that tribe and would be possible numbers for our alliance come merge we decided to throw it and take out Zack who we believe to be a number for skua. Austin has it out for jay it seems and is looking to take out his numbers and I think he actually thinks he's running things and making the decisions. Thats fine he can think whatever he wants, but it was trixie  and I who made the Shea blindside happen and saved his ass. We OMG INSTANT TRIBAL BRB
This instant might come back to bite me in the ass rip, its messy and people still haven't voted and I think austin thinks i'm voting him
I think roxy is really buying my "innocent newcomer" act right now that i'm using to cover my ass for this zack vote. I'm hoping i can get out of this still with the trust of all my tribe members. If i had to pick one to go next it would be Ali, because that rat went to austin saying I voted him... We'll see what the future holds
This new skua tribe is the perfect stiuation! I have trixie who is my #1 in this game, nehe who i'm closely aligned with and roxy who thinks were together 100%. I really want to win these upcomong challenges because I feel like there will only be one or two votes before we merge and I want all four of us on this new new skua to make it! It would break my heart to vote roxy at this point as we already blindsided her twice at tribals and she still trusts us, so i'm really hoping it doesn't come down to that. I'm also hoping for another clue, since i have one from skua before I think getting a second clue would really help my chances of finding one of these fucking idols!
Once again my team won, I mean so far this whole game I've only been on a losing team if we threw the challenge. I know i'm going to look like a threat come merge but i'm kinda looking forward to it. I'm hoping I can still use my innocent newbie "idk what i'm doing" act to get people to trust me, but I know eventually they'll want to take me out. I feel after this challenge our "outsiders" alliance from albatross will be over. Austin only got 10 points in the challenge so odds are he'll be taken out next, and if he's not then I'd take that as a sign that he joined the other side and if thats the case we'll have no use for him. Part of me is hoping that adelie takes him out tonight that way we don't have to do the dirty work later, but unfortunately I think that comes with the price of losing a jury vote.
also, nehe is really pissing me off. If we lose the next immunity idgaf about the alliance at this point I like roxy more right now and I'd send his ass home.
The tribe chat is fun and all but... Roxy, girl. Sometimes it's a bit much. Jokes  and sarcasm just flies over her little aussie head. God bless.
Jacob
Austin be throwin'? I played the challenge for less than an hour and I still got a better score. I hope he doesn't have an idol.
Shea
Aint shit
Austin

Rig-gate is real huh
Lily
honestly i dont even know whats going on right now. we swapped? thats cool. we're not going to tribal? rad. honestly like if i got voted out next round i dont know if i'd care that much this premerge is just so chill for whatever reason its like my natural habitat
Andrew
I think Ali is a robot. Also lily and I are lookin for an idol™
Ali

Kelsey
My goodness...after that disaster of a video challenge, I was truly blessed to stay. I had never really had the opportunity to connect with anyone and Regan basically eliminating herself was...luck, dear, it was luck XD But then a scadulous tribe swap happens and I'm even LUCKIER!!! With a tribe of four, I feel like we totally could just slay the house down and all four people are people I'm able to bond with over something quickly. Jay was super on the Regan boat and knows that I'm not the best with speaking with people, as was the other snake picture. And Austin says he's rather close to Jay, so I'm feeling rather good if we go to tribal, not that we wi- oh, we already lost, ok. Austin says he would love to work with Jacob and I and to eliminate Jay, which doesn't sound the most predictable, but at this point in the competition, I've never made it to the top thirteen and I usually mess it up for myself when get too involved with voting and being gung ho. This time, maybe I can just take a deep breath and survive past another one...apparently, there is this "plan" to convince Austin that I'm going home which makes the pit in my stomach advance even further but...it can't be helped. I could be making top TWELVE. TWELVE!!!! I've got to just take a deep breath, close my eyes, and jump off the bridge. Let's hope I land in foam~! And THAT'S all there is to it! Bon Apetit, beh-bay~ Kelsey Mikaelson
Zack
I have had Nehe and Austin approach me for a solid three. However, I have also been approached with a solid three person alliance with Trixie and Quillyn. If I can get this group to final five, I think I would be sitting pretty. Unfortunately, that means I have to turn on my alliance I've had from day one with Shea, Roxy, and Ali. But Ali and I have talked and he's going to jump ship with me.
So, I've had Ali, Austin, and Nehe all trying to subtly convince me to trust the others of the three. It quickly became apparent that they're all working together, or at the very least, Austin has them both wrapped around his finger. Austin also mentioned Bodhi and Jay being numbers for him on the other side. Having everyone on my tribe trust me, I realize that this is my opportune moment to make a game-changing move and flipping the vote on Austin. I convinced Trixie and Quillynn (who have offered me an alliance for the time being) that if we want to succeed at all, we need to split up these three. More specifically, take Austin out because he seems to be the main tie for all of these people. Take out the kingpin, the rest will scatter. With Roxy still trusting me over everyone else, we should have just enough votes to take Austin out. I don't like sitting around, doing what I'm told, and waiting to be taken out in the final six. So sorry, Austin. I really hope you're out this week.
Jay
Regan is going to straight up murder me for voting her out, but sorry. You blew up on Kelsey, you're going home. Sorry not sorry. Also you're just gonna vote with Austin every vote and we can't have him having more power than me :)
Hey guys! This might be my last confessional in this game. So, Austin says he has an idol and that he's playing it. So like, I decided that I'm just gonna go for voting him. The thing is, if me, Jacob, and Kelsey stick strong, and he plays an idol, one of us go. HOWEVER, provided it's not me, whoever is left from Kelsey and Jacob is still trusting of me. Which would not be the case if i threw a vote onto Kelsey and Jacob left. Tribal is starting now. Good luck to me I hope things go well.

hi so im trying to win this paintball challenge so my ass doesnt get voted off. i feel like for the first time ever in a survivor game i dont fit in with my tribe and like they are going to cut me the first chance they get. oh well i guess we will see what happens. its time to shoot some bitches
Nehemiah
So now i'm on the albatross tribe and you can say that I'm on the bottom but actually theres people on the tribe I trust. Trixie and Ali are instant ride or die homies in my opinion and so is Austin. After I helped us win the lip sync with my amazing talent Trixie and Quillyn wants to have an alliance with me and Austin as we are the outside forces I am 100% fine with this. But Ali isnt with the other side he's with me and Austin. So this is also good if we go to a tribal. So i'm set up pretty nicely.
We have decided to throw the challenge to get out Shea. I personally have no connection to shea in the form that I didn't care if we threw the challenge. The outsiders alliance of me, QuilLyn, Trixie, and Austin is definitely off to a good start. We got shea to vote Austin and Ali is on board to vote Shea. I'm in a good spot when it comes to everything. I don't know how I'm going to fare going forward in the game but I do think I'm in a very good spot and I know how to speak to people. Zack was doing the challenge all by himself. We tried to throw it and he just wouldn't but to be fair he didn't know. So i had to talk him into throwing and getting out Shea leading on the idea that if he does so Austin and me would work with him. Everything should be good tonight.
The outsiders threw yet another tribal so we can get out Zack.
After our tribal of blindsiding Zack there was in our guts either a tribe swap or merge. As you can see it was a tribe swap and ironically I ended up on a tribe with my 2 fellow Outsiders and Roxy. I lied to Roxy the previous vote but I don't wanna loose that relationship just yet. There's a good chance my new tribe can win immunity and not have to vote off Roxy but if such things happen we are 3-1 and we have the ammunition to take aim. I only fear for out other votes that we need secure which that is being Bodhi, Ali, Kelsey, and Austin. I need all 4 of them to stay safe but I have a smart feeling that ain't gonna happen. But I still stand on what I said last time in that I'm in a good spot and I don't have to do much bullshit or manipulating just yet. I showed I can be sneaky as well as cutthroat when I need to be but I'm good for now.

Ava & James
Ava: So, campus bars Ava: Avoid entirely or cheap enough to make the cringe worth it? 🤔🤔 James: use your student loans wisely enough that cheap is avoided entirely Ava: Ugh 😏 I thought you'd give real advice if I got you off the clock James: go with your gut, option 1 James: you're not striking me as someone to base their social life around KCLSU's quiz night Ava: I love trivia like I love cheap white wine spritzers and school spirit James: knew you'd fit right in Ava: Can I put that resounding endorsement on my application then, James? James: it'll carry more weight if you accidentally add the I when you write my name James: but I didn't say that James: slip of the pen, that's all Ava: My lips are sealed Ava: There's plenty of time to meet him and double up on kudos James: I hear the girl's hazing rituals are savage James: stand you in good stead that will Ava: No one is scarier than a high school girl Ava: Nor as petty and sadistic Ava: I think I'll survive James: they've toned it down since that girl had a mental episode post head shave James: sure you will Ava: Very chic Ava: Do you wait 'til the UCAS app has gone through to drop the horror stories usually or are you really bad at this whole recruitment thing on purpose? James: it's my 1st time playing tour guide James: potentially I'm less than cut out for it Ava: I won't lodge a formal complaint Ava: Unless you're turning over DMs as feedback, in which case, awkward James: I won't be, some girls think I have more sway than I really do James: awkward indeed Ava: God Ava: Not even my first choice Ava: Though makes you wonder how effective attaching nudes to your cover letter would be James: they'd have to take that on a case by case basis Ava: 🤞 that you don't get the one token woman on the panel James: not your 1st choice, no need to cross anything Ava: Hypothetically, James II Ava: Why was it yours, then? Ava: Student life evidently not being it James: it was my only James: it's gonna end up being Teddy's too Ava: He hasn't turned up to business studies in time Ava: But slip of the pen, I get you James: my older sister got all the brains and none of the sense of fun Ava: Know the sort Ava: Bet I still likes you better though James: I wouldn't go that far Ava: Too far for a taster sesh Ava: Understood Ava: Don't suppose you'll point me in the direction of where you actually hang now then? James: I suppose I could Ava: Please Ava: Bored is an understatement Ava: I'll still show up all present and correct for the debrief thing tomorrow James: it's such a good thing here isn't your 1st choice Ava: You should give me the real tour Ava: I'll keep my lips sealed James: can't I get another please before you do? Ava: Please do not invite your brother Ava: He got us kicked out of Mahiki last month it was so tragic James: he's a disgrace Ava: Most of them are James: I don't associate with anyone who still goes to Mahiki regularly Ava: It's pretty played out James: if they'll let Teddy in they're getting desperate Ava: 😂 awh James: you ready now? Ava: Already out Ava: Figured you better pick me up from The Vault Ava: Consider it a mini hazing of my own James: keep your lips sealed that I'm going within 100 yards of the place and sure Ava: Don't worry Ava: The others are at the cinema or something equally as lame the school put on for our 'overnight entertainment' Ava: I'm sick Ava: No selfies James: the hangover'll make it look & feel convincing Ava: That's a promise you can put your wallet behind Ava: I am a guest James: you don't want put your fake ID on the line either Ava: Bold of you to assume I've ever needed to buy my own drinks 😏 Ava: I didn't bring it alright, shut up James: you don't need it, I'm only playing Ava: 😾 James: how many drinks has my brother bought you? Of course I need to 1 up him Ava: Total? Ava: Not as much as he'd like but lots Ava: Not trying to milk this sibling rivalry or anything, have known him ages Ava: Well before Mahiki would let him in, like James: hardly a rivalry, you know him well enough to realise Ava: True Ava: You do what feels right and I'll let you know by the end of the night then James: very straightforward James: I like it Ava: You don't know me well enough yet but that's par for the course James: I knew your brother for years & I didn't know him James: we'd need more than an evening Ava: I'm as comparable to my brother as you are to yours Ava: Probably James: show me, I'll show you Ava: Deal Ava: But we will need more than an evening Ava: to make it fair James: you can have until you're bored Ava: You'll want longer when you aren't anymore James: I'm used to things not lasting as long as I want Ava: I'm not your average Ava: You'll see James: bold of you to assume I've ever settled for average Ava: I didn't say THE average James: I heard you say my average Ava: No need to be offended by better, is there? James: bemused at most Ava: You're welcome Ava: but you are meant to be entertaining me, not the other way 'round James: you brought up fairness James: & it's a good point Ava: How do you propose we make it fair then? James: I entertain you tonight, you entertain me whenever you've thought of your own tour worth taking me on Ava: That's actually a good idea Ava: and entirely fair James: Teddy'll cost my dad more to secure his place than I did, I've got some brains on board Ava: No doubt Ava: Gave his name to the right kid, clearly James: My sister was undoubtedly relieved James: though Diana has its own pitfalls Ava: 😬 The jokes write themselves James: they do Ava: Perks of having a relatively untouched name James: it does suit her, she's very much a martyr Ava: Did you do an English degree? Ava: You're good at painting a picture with words Ava: See 👸 so clearly James: sadly not James: maybe I'll go back & do it if I ever finish the current one Ava: Student forever vibes Ava: Fuck real life James: then again, being the kind of dad who drops their kid off for classes & pulls up his own chair at the table doesn't sound like a great idea Ava: Just make sure its not their first choice, yeah? James: oldest's already smarter than me James: won't be a problem Ava: There you go then James: where's yours? Ava: Currently undecided Ava: It's more a case of sorting the 2-5 James: & how's that going? James: this place being a solid 5th Ava: Its been a solid mix of fun and boring working it out Ava: Better than another night in Mahiki at any rate Ava: I'll have to decide eventually but even my mum can't demand I do quite yet James: don't over complicate it James: they're not all that different James: I've got friends studying all over the map and they're still basically doing the same things I am Ava: See, that's what I figured Ava: But try telling that to a woman who was Cambridge or bust Ava: It's more about the vibe of the place, the people, the ethos and the lecturers not being the worst stereotypes of boring/creep Ava: again, if I tell her vibe is on my criteria she'd actually kill me before I could apply anywhere so 🤷 James: your secret's safe with me James: even if our mothers were friends, mine is currently not speaking to me Ava: How's that? James: it's something I'm fairly used to James: she's not a big talker James: more of a fan of a dismissive hand gesture Ava: Gotcha Ava: Not a whole lot to miss James: she's got lots to say about my parenting style but who hasn't Ava: Shame you don't talk to my brother now James: I don't suppose he sees it as a shame Ava: Probably not Ava: He's not one for regrets James: me either James: it's why we started out friends Ava: Feels like ages ago Ava: Since he still lived here James: it kind of is James: he left before he left Ava: It's complicated James: it's not my business Ava: Not mine either so Ava: Whatever James: car's here James: are you going to make me get out for you? Ava: You're meant to come in here Ava: Don't you trust I can keep my lips sealed? James: I don't trust it to be entertaining in there James: hence it's not part of the tour Ava: Please James: Oh Ava James: [but does come in we all know he would] Ava: [clearly making him stay for a drink and play pool or something in this student ass bar] James: [when you're whipped for someone you're not even dating lol] Ava: [When Chloe is your missus] James: [to be a fly on the wall in their relationship tbh literally imagine] Ava: [oh lordy how you have not been missed girl] James: [at least the new kid is young enough she can dress it up still and it can't talk back so she can pretend she gives a shit and isn't blowing his phone up rn] Ava: [in full show-off-to-all-my-friends mode still, somehow still has some lol] James: [lord when you don't even like and comment on pics of your own child anymore though bye do not approve of your aesthetic choices Chlo] Ava: [so awkward, when you only get a look in for the boring/hard bits] James: [basically just get to parent Jay cos she's well over that] Ava: [poor James tbh] James: [have your fun now lad I don't blame you even though everyone else will] Ava: [lord people gonna be SO mad] James: [how far we gonna take this during the tour cos obvs flirty vibes been flying about but like he can't just jump her cos married and she's younger] Ava: [she fully initiated this whole thing lbr but maybe don't sleep with him yet babe as you are aware he's married and has kids so like, some thought even though you young and reckless that, he could always stop it at a makeout 'cos then how embarrassing for her and she'd have to leave it for a bit like what was I doing, angst etc] James: [I vibe with that cos they are gonna be drinking a lot as the night goes on so that'd make both of them give less of a shit about the consequences but because the night is going on eventually chlo is gonna be like are you coming home ever because I like to think he hasn't cheated since she got pregnant with this kid and has actually been trying even though he's miserable af clearly] James: [like maybe it was really bad before and he was actually gonna leave her so she was like simply must trap him and did] Ava: [v much a her move I support it] James: [yeah cos she's invested this much time into him she's not just gonna let him go easily] Ava: [when you have no idea what you've signed yourself up for here babe] James: [I'm rooting for them rn cos nobody else is and I'm 100% that bitch, must not get invested yet when we've only just begun] Ava: [same tho so whoops] James: [he'd be so into it though too we all know that makeout would be 💣🔥] Ava: [hence breaking it off would be hard af, Chloe gotta be blowing his shit up to the degree he thinks maybe one of the kids is hurt lol] James: [literally Chloe is the teenage girl in this situation, girl chill out] Ava: [I'd feel bad if you hadn't also cheated loads and trapped him in this sham life soooo, grant you idk how much Ava knows of that rn but she'd clearly have a rep] James: [yeah I feel like Ava would be knowing some shit cos same circles and Chlo ain't slick plus like he's gonna eventually tell her cos god knows he needs someone to talk to] Ava: [we will get there boy] James: [at least it'll be less awks for her cos it'll be obvious that he didn't wanna break shit off and how hard it was to do] Ava: [there was obvs a vibe to pursue in the first place, still tomorrow morning lmao] James: [he'd so go too hard pretending she doesn't exist like nobody's picked up on the vibe and it ain't obvious okay boy] Ava: [I hope there's some other drama gone down on this little excursion so yous can fly under the radar, someone hold hands at the cinema lol] James: [shit like that always happens don't worry you two] Ava: [thank God for teenage shenanigans when you out here homewrecking on the low] James: [you should do some Chlo texts at me for the lols even if I don't reply cos busy lol]
