I just know Crocodile brought on Mihawk because he thought he would be sensible, calm and collected, low maintenance. He thought it was going to be them against the idiocy that is buggy. And it is to a degree.
What he failed to calculate is that Mihawk is just as bad as buggy.
Worse even because at least Buggy can be bullied into doing paperwork. I just know everyday Crocodile is astonished by the absolute commitment Mihawk has to his aesthetic. Walks into his tent just to find that he has somehow converted this circus ass tent into a mid century gothic castle. Somehow carpeted the whole thing end to end is burning more that a 100 candles for “mood lighting”, has a fully open fire pit and a sewing machine in the corner.
Like Crocodiles essentially a mafioso he can appreciate the wanting nice things. Still won’t prepare him for the day Mihawk’s brings him a wine budget, a tailoring budget and an embroidery budget all painstakingly itemized.
Won’t prepare him for having to replace every single wine glass because buggy drank out of one and he can’t break up a set but refuses to use a cup that buggy’s put his mouth on.
He’s starting to think that the real reason the Warlords were disbanded was because they simply could not afford to pay for Mihawk’s upkeep anymore and decided they’d rather pay in cadet lives than see one more wine budget.
He is essentially being held hostage, in his own guild, by the whims of a bored middle aged vampire, and a fucking clown.

I've come to the conclusion that loving young royals doesn't mean I can't be critical about it, maybe especially bc I love the show so much I have such strong feelings about it, good and bad and I can love parts of canon and agree with it and appreciate it but I don't have to love it all. I have accepted that it's okay if I don't accept the ending and I don't have to force myself to support it. It's okay to not agree with all of canon and it's okay to not side with all of the creators' intentions/views. Loving a show doesn't mean you have to take everything the writers say on face value and that's the only version that is allowed to exist. Canon isn't everything and fandom is about curating your own experience that makes you happy and not miserable. You don't have to dismiss canon in every aspect and ignore it entirely, that's certainly not what I want but there is a fine line between being canon respectful, allowing some parts to exist and sometimes, yes, you just have to say "fuck canon" and move on for your own sanity and wellbeing

Zionist in my replies would really go full enraged Israel apologist mode and then finish it with "Yes I know it's sad but they had to establish dominance with the other 99%" regarding what Israel is doing
Full on apartheid mindset and it's their own words, thanks for contradicting yourself ✌🏼
If you're a Zionist, 'both sides are suffering' supporter, 'Palestine is breaking treaty' rhetoric or Israel apologist, I'm not even gonna argue with you because there's no point if even after every evidence and proof you're still blind. You're getting blocked

For anyone annoyed by the Tumblr changes, if you're on desktop I would recommend using XKit Rewritten (and New XKit for any other odd changes you'd like to try out, including even older aspects of Tumblr). It's the older version of Rewritten but most of the extensions on it are still supported/do work). I can't guarantee they'll definitely make a fix for it/a direct fix for this particular UI change, but it's possible that they might since they usually make extensions that allow you to essentially revert changes made to the UI. Other various UI extensions (such as old ones from Tumblr's past UIs that the extensions basically just revert you to) may also help fix up your UI.
As you might expect these extensions need to be on to work/revert the appearance of the UI (so if you turn them off you'll revert to the current state of Tumblr), but while they are on you can curate your UI to look how you want it. This goes for both New XKit and XKit Rewritten. I use both and I couldn't live without them lol. You can get some big oldies of Tumblr's, like classic search on Rewritten or the Tweaks extension (full of various UI tweaks) on New XKit (including the old shade of blue Tumblr used a long time ago that I never stopped using!).
Unfortunately I don't know of any solution for mobile if it affects mobile at any point (or if it already has), but whenever you're on desktop, I would definitely recommend both these versions of XKit. I have so many extensions from them that I often don't even realize when there are UI changes (remember how Tumblr added themes for your dashboard? I didn't even notice for the longest time because I've had New XKit on the whole time) because Tumblr's default coding is overwritten by the extensions I have on.

I feel kind bad that I haven't been making as much art I used to - specifically illustrations since I know most people followed me for those;;;
BUT I learned the hard way that if I try to do personal illustration on top of my existing work I end up physically injuring my hand :') (which is part of why drawings have been sparse lately. I'm still recovering ghjkgd)
HOWEVER, I'm still channeling my creativity in other ways!
I'm part of an ongoing Beam Saber TTRPG podcast and you can see a bunch of art I made for it HERE
I'm working on making my Celestial series FREE to download as hi-res print files on my website
I'm running a devlog of my game developer work at @figminxr
AND I'm running community events in the Figmin XR discord server
SO if you've been curious what I've been up to lately, it's mostly been all that stuff ⬆

see it’s not that i hate when people criticize media that i like. i LOVE criticizing my media i do it constantly. it is in itself a manifestation of my love for the media. my problem is simply that i hate seeing criticism immediately after having first finished the media and therefore while still being in supreme hype mode. when i first get done with something i’m too busy reeling from how amazing it was to be willing to tolerate any negativity at all because i’m just absolutely over the moon with excitement at that moment and i don’t want it to be ruined for me even if i’m already subconsciously aware of certain flaws. once a few months have passed and my brain has settled down i can absolutely palate negative critical analysis. so when i say i don’t like haters i just mean it’s unfortunate when other people’s hyped up thought suspension mode doesn’t last as long as mine. like can you wait at least a few days after the thing drops before complaining using the main tags please

the wildest thing about the state of reading comprehension these days is reading some meta on your dash and thinking yeah that's good. op is totally right. but like. why does it need to be said. isn't that already painfully obvious. but then you find out that op was actually debunking the most popular character misconception that is basically accepted by the fandom and is used for all kinds of memes headcanons and fanart as (sometimes the only one) valid canon characterisation and yeah. it doesn't only need to be said loud and clear but also speaker is recommended as well as writing all of that in bold font on the biggest most visible banner possible
