My assumption around that being that Tal wasn’t sure if what was brought back via Raise Dead or the like would even be Molly. 

The question of identity as related to magic and rebirth in D&D is a fascinating one, and I think we’re diving into a cool story around it here.

Her last name is in the art book, and appeared in some publicity materials for the D&D “Stream of Many Eyes” back in 2018, but I haven’t managed to hear her drop it in the campaign either.

You’ve likely seen them, but this one is particularly Round and Orange and has a very striking pattern! Good for her. They’re often much smaller and more brown, like this:
