Ok now someone write fanfiction about Merlin (from Merlin) being Arthur's Groom of the Stool, the most seemingly degrading, yet honorable and powerful position in court.
Also the codependency and homoeroticism of making your bro accompany you to the toilet is hilarious, but would also allow Merlin to be able to protect him so.
Also Arthur putting Merlin in being in charge of the King's bedroom and bathroom is probably because he got fed up with all his complaining about everything every time he sleeps over visits.
(Yes I'm also saying that maybe Arthur - accidentally - created the position by being not-married codependent on Merlin)

holds your face so fucking gently please leave reviews for indie games. please. every single review legit counts, especially if the game is small enough, and you don't even gotta say much if that's the problem!!
like, anything from a long ramble to a simple 'it was good' matters, because steam (and probably also the Other Ones) uses an algorithm. so the more reviews, the more exposure, the more money the dev team gets. like, please. please. leave a review. throw your small indie dev team a bone

for the theater mode enjoyers: unfortunately, the entire series was taken down from rooster teeth’s website around a week ago:
as explained by chelsea, all of the episodes had to be taken down because rt lost the rights to the films that were used in the show. on the bright side, excluding the aux episodes, every other episode has been backed up to the internet archive. it’s separated by group: achievement hunter, funhaus, and cow chop.

"Izzy isn't the main character" - no of course not, that's not why his death made me sad. It made me sad that I will never see my favourite character again - in a show that I would have loved without him, but that I loved even more with him. It's the lost potential of his character in relation to the main characters that bothers me the most.
For me it's all about Izzy's relationship with Ed in all its fucked up glory. Give me two codependent, obsessed, can't-live-without-you-but-someday-I'm-gonna kill-you (we'll probably die together), violent but extremely vulnerable people who have so much history - and love; although some of it turned bitter - you can feel it in every interaction.
And mix it up with Stede - fascinating on his own, and definitely a main character - who comes between this dark, weird, incomprehensible entanglement like the prince cutting his way through thorny brambles to reach Sleeping Beauty's castle (the original name "Thorn Rose" is even more fitting).
The drama! The conflict! The jealousy! The romance of it all!
I love that Izzy gives Ed/Stede a different spin, it makes Ed darker but also more complex, and it acts as a parallel love story that seems to be everything that Ed/Stede isn't. But then in S2 you realize: wait - they're not completely dissimilar ("He's a complicated man"). The strands are converging. It's all about love, and Izzy and Stede love Ed very deeply, while Ed loves them both in different, but equally important ways. It's almost as if they represent the two sides of him that need to be reconciled before he can truly be himself.
That's why, for me, removing Izzy from the equation was a mistake, and so much potential was lost. There still was a fascinating story to be told, and the loss of that story hurt me the most.
Yes, Ed and Stede are the main characters, and their love story is the main story. In many ways, Izzy is the past, and Stede is the future. But Izzy and Ed and their intense emotions towards each other (it's no secret how much I love the murder/suicide scene) made the story more complex - and with Izzy and Stede growing to accept, understand and even grudgingly respect each other I was hoping for something extraordinary in S3.
Izzy's death put all those potential story arcs to rest, and I would have loved to have seen them explored.
Also, Izzy was fuckin' hilarious.

having vague thoughts about E3 and the current state of AAA game development in general..
like yeah direct promotions have had more of an impact than Big Events for me, and the main thing I'd want to see out of E3 are trailers for new games or the conversations that follow online - but a few points on that
I can just as easily look up “new games for [platform] [year]” on youtube
Something about the way AAA games are built these days makes me get bored of them ⅔ of the way through, if I even make it that far, on top of them charging more for less content and hiding away the rest behind multiple DLC packs
I've mostly been buying indies the past few years and have gotten a lot of fun out of them; they continue to deliver a nearly unrivaled experience of fun gameplay mechanics and interesting/emotional stories at a ridiculously low cost
I also have emulators for going back and playing old games I really liked so I'm not exactly desperate for new games
and idk!! weird to see E3 officially ending but I also think the landscape is very different these days including the game companies themselves. I'm not a game dev so I can't rly speak to what the change has looked like on their end over the past 10-20 yrs.
