I'm on a work trip--it's a class of people in my field picked from all over the country, so I don't know anyone else here--and the info packet I got basically said "people have told us they wish they'd been given a chance to meet everyone else before the class starts, so if you want to do that, show up to the hotel bar at this time and look for people who look like lawyers."

and I know. that I should go do this, because networking good. but also. this is weirdly stressful. how do I make sure that a group of random lawyers knows I am also a lawyer while still being casual and chill but not dressed formally at all

am i going to have to take off my combat boots for this

as for npmd (characters who have a speaking role): brenda. hearing her talk the first time made my soul float out of my body. i didn't recognize it as bryce; i thought they genuinely got a teenager to be brenda. it just took me off guard how real she was. compared to everyone else matching their stereotype, brenda acts like. a regular teenager

#and just like my other pair they fit my regular inserts which i really do need to wear more ANYWAY ahahaha......ha......haha...............#cute little heel cute little platform cute ENORMOUS TREAD LIKE A TIRE #gotta break em in a little though. lil tight getting them on and off especially bc they pull on and off but the fit is so GOOOOOD #my legs every time i wear my inserts and good shoes: why have you been depriving us of good living.#me: uhhhhhh. hey look at least i wear my baby inserts all the time otherwise. so you get that.#they really do not compare to the big regular inserts though.
