He says while holding said snatched waist of man with feminine hips. who want him? i didnt wanna draw his hat again btw cuz i said so. thank u @lunarobservatory for helping me choose for who got waist holding privileges
Here's a buncha random things i wanna spout btw
Ulu knives literally means "a woman's knife" plus i think he should be able to be pretty and feminine sometimes without question (nowadays anyone uses an ulu knife, its just traditionally a womans knife way long ago because they typically prepared food)
I like to imagine during breakup season, cuz all the slush n floods and stuff, he'd get sick atleast once every time and feel very nauseous throughout it
He has like 90% of the worlds sea otter population and theyre like, slendery ish but also BIG
hes tall brah he gonna need to eat alot but nooo Alaska's food security and natural resources for food is hella low
from what i read, in native alaskan culture way back when, you could identify as either man or woman as long as you worked the part and i think thats chill tbh
also poly stuff was very natural, sharing partners with buddies or having more than one partner because you can efficiently support them, it helped them with isolation
Alaska is the 4-3rd richest state, dunno wtf he doing with all that bank but he's got it 🤷
idk maybe Alaska has a fear of forgetting- not being forgotten per say just forgetting things. Esp cuz of how poorly he was recorded during his territory era and the destruction of his culture and languages I think he'd be terrified to one day just forget all of it
plus it would be ironic for his flower
forget me nots are said to be odorless, except for at the late afternoon and night, so maybe some states like to sleep in a room with him because aromatherapy or smth
he may be 60% federal land but man he 100% does not care

Please don’t ever feel like you’re annoying us w your au! It really makes me feel like I’m watching Jesse live out his Happily Ever After in Alaska which is all I’ve ever wanted, your characters are so drawn out they’re basically canon to me now <3 Baby esp speaks to the Weird Little Girl I used to be who was also obsessed w marine biology (I esp love Orcas… Baby hit me w some Orca facts pls??) also would love to hear more ab this au + Mike lives w Jesse in Alaska au bc you know that’s my favorite 🥺👉👈
IM 🥺 literally i just need to know that things will be ok for him in the end, ill make the spinoff sequel show, ill build his little alaska world. it really means a lot to hear that people actually Like the au and the characters because its super special to me!! we all need some love and warmth and a little kid who pretends to be coral and fact checked the "blackfish" documentary, and no one deserves all that more than jesse tbh 💕
and u also know that my love for the mike + jesse dynamic got dialed up to 11 the first time i got within 10 feet of ur blog, so of COURSE i was going to figure out a way to get them back together. it just makes me so emotional to think of jesse not only having the closest thing he ever had to a positive male role model back in his life, but having someone who Knows what exactly he went through and how specifically, granularly fucked up it was. someone who knows what he means when he says "i thought i saw Him in a crowd today", someone who will listen and understand the extent of the depravity when he talks about his captivity. that just feels so important, to have one positive connection to his past that jesse can bring into his new life and also that connection gets to be mike!!! best friend mike!! who was already getting soft for the kid and seeing him here—free, in control of his life, no one telling him what to do—and with a soft place to land in his family just makes the heart grow fonder. mike is of course cursed to always be a crusty old man, but that doesn't mean he can't take the family fishing (towards the end, before everything fell apart, he'd started thinking about maybe teaching jesse to fish. it'd probably be too boring for the kid but its a good skill to have) and get baby one of those plastic "my first fishing pole" poles. it just really makes that aching emptiness in his chest that he's been trying to fill ever since matty feel smaller when mike comes up the cabin and opens the door to demi instantly taking his jacket and telling him that she recorded the toronto game for him since he was driving up during it, to baby solemnly informing him about how salmon migration patterns have changed in the area where they usually fish, and to jesse who always looks at him like that first time they first crossed paths in alaska, with that kind of pitiful, kind of heartwarming combo of disbelief and childlike glee. like he's afraid this is all a dream but doesn't want to wake up and found out. mike's less stingy with hugs these days.

Hiya! I really adore your blog and I don't think(?) you've been asked this, but sorry if you have addressed it! I've been watching documentaries/researching things and I'm curious if you have any thoughts/opinions about NWT/Agna Qel'a and its sustainability? Esp during the 100 year war when they're isolated, is it feasible to feed the whole city without imports? What sort of agriculture could work in an arctic climate?
So funny thing about cities:
For a civilization to build a city, the first thing they need is a surplus of food. This is what allows people to fulfil the city requirements (things like job specialization, which leads to some specializing in planning or building infrastructure, or a big population which allows for plenty of people to fill all these little niches in these specialized jobs). There's a little cultural problem here and I'm not sure how well it's been established or explained, or even if it's been acknowledged at all.
The Inuit, Inupiat, Yup'ik, and even some of the other groups, Native or otherwise, that have inspired the aesthetic of the Water Tribes 1) tended to be more nomadic than sedentary (so setting roots in a city in the first place makes little sense) and 2) don't believe in taking the amount of food from nature that would be needed for such a surplus. Speaking as an Inupiaq, it's seen as disgustingly greedy. If you have more food than you need, you don't hoard it, you give it to people who need it without expecting anything in return. You never take with the intention of getting more than you need so you can sell the extra. If you still have more to spare, you save it for a day where you might otherwise starve, not for some guy who says a canal system will improve things and wants to work on that instead of getting his own food.
So it's really strange to me when people treat the Northern Water Tribe like it's this sort of untouched safe place where they still follow the culture that's been forgotten in the Southern Tribe. They have what are essentially roads, they have grand architecture, they have a class system, and the concept of a princess. None of these are accurate to the people indigenous to the tundra. If you're anywhere near as much of a stickler for this cultural aspect of the Water Tribe and the irl cutures it's supposed to be based on (and I can't say I recommend it because it does make being mad about the franchise much easier), then the only explanation is that they're way more culturally influenced by the other nations, namely the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom, than the Southern Water Tribe is.
As for agriculture, in the same way that snooty vegans are technically correct when the say "you don't need meat" you technically don't need that many vegetables. Rather than the meat we tend to think of when we go to the butcher or meat and seafood counter at the store, where it's only certain cuts of flesh from animals specifically bred for centuries to produce this kind of meat or that, the Inupiaq diet specifically incorporated as many parts of the animals that adapted to the needs of surviving the arctic as possible. It's not possible to live on a diet of 90% steak and get all the nutrients you need, but when it includes fish eyes and whale skin, the tongue, the heart, the liver, fats of all kinds, and supplement the rest of your needs with things like fireweed, sourdock, wild celery, and berries, it will sustain you and get you through the winter.
Below, I've attached a video showing what subsitance hunting and gathering looks like in northwest Alaska. It's thoroughly informative but be warned that it does include footage of irl hunting and butchering. You will see guns and knives and dead animals in this video.
youtube
I suppose you could grow things like eskimo potato/masru or berry bushes the way people would grow, say, tomatoes or beans. You could apply selective breeding to get nutient rich crops and build greenhouses out of sheets of clear ice, double walled with folks keeping the moisture in the dirt from freezing so it stays warm enough for things to grow for as long as the sun stays in the sky. They have an oasis full of magic spirit water so maybe there's something sacred that could be keeping crops alive.
The question is, how do you take the land required to do that from social herbivores? Are you going to treat them like pests to be exterminated when you need their meat and skins to survive? That land is their home as much as it's yours.
I think personal gardens or even just bushes and such kept in pots in or around the home would be much likelier than full scale intensive farms. Grouse or ptarmigans or similar fowl (Sokka does mention "arctic hen") could be kept domestically for their eggs or occasionally meat the way chickens might be kept in the other nations. Grains and flour may be traded with stealthy Earth Kingdom merchants in exchange for pelts or ivory or even ice blocks for food storage.
And on the other hand, it could just be a densely populated village made fancy with enough signs of civilization for outsiders to respect while everyone is still otherwise living a hunter gatherer lifestyle to feed their families. There isn't really a "wrong" answer in any sense until canon gets its shit together (and maybe actually hires an eskimo writer so it makes sense) and gives an actual explanation.

Hello 2021
January 2, 2021
I should’ve put these thoughts into words on the first day of the year but then again, I felt so lazy given this bed weather we are currently having. By far, I think I experienced the coldest temperature here in my hometown (21 degrees baby) and I’m sure not liking it as I prefer warm days.
I actually do not know how to start. I feel it’s necessary to check on how I am doing lately. Write the things I experienced last year and reflect on the lessons it taught me.
I could probably kick things off by remembering how 2020 started for me. I have a bad memory but I’ll try my best to recall them.
Tumblr media
January
Broke up with J (yes this is probably one of the major and heartbreaking events happened to me). To sum it up, I realized that the relationship does not have growth anymore, and I am slowly drifting to follow my own path, which is to focus on the plans I want. I haven’t thought deeply the lessons I learned in my past relationship yet but one thing is for sure, I changed and I want to explore more of what I can do or what I’m missing out in life. Which brings me to attend seminars on how to work/study abroad. I attended a couple (e.g Fortrust Makati) and I also realized how costly it will be and I’m probably not yet ready esp. on the financial aspect.
February – March
Highlight on these months was I got back to dating apps again. I know it was a complete dick move. I haven’t moved on yet and here I am in the pool again. I met 2 guys from this app, Coffee Meets Bagel (which btw I uninstalled few months after). The first guy was the introvert but funny type and also VERY sexual. I got along with it, tried to do the deed but failed cause the guy hasn’t moved on from the ex yet. (Sucks right). And so I met this second guy and he is decent but we really had completely different personality. I believe this guy is also rich (he came from a Chinese family and I went to his house and saw the maid and his stuff). Can you also believe he already introduced me to his mom (no dad cause broken family), uncle and grandma. Pressured si ate gurl syempre cause it was really too early to do that step since we’re just dating but March was the most difficult month because…
START OF LOCKDOWN. PH was in state of panic after the government announced a nationwide lockdown due to increased COVID-19 transmission. I immediately went on a bus to the province fearing to get stuck in Manila.
Tumblr media
April
Nah this was just a typical month. Summer vibes all over but since we cannot go to the beach we just setup an inflatable pool in the house to get soaked. I finally posted a pic wearing a swimsuit again. My stagnant IG feed came to life lmao
May
Oh boy. This month sucks so much. I got typhoid fever. Which I thought was COVID already cause my fever just won’t stop. My mom didn’t want me to get admitted in the hospital in the fear of being infected so I was hooked in the IV here in the house. I felt I was dying. I was in huge pain both physically and mentally. Which forced me to end any communication means with the second guy. He was not there when I was sick. I didn’t feel his concern even if we’re miles apart and I felt I was begging for his attention. It just won’t work. He blocked me in his socials (which is a first for me, usually I am the one who blocks lol) but given the current state I have now, I learned to accept it and chose to move forward.
Tumblr media
June
Explored options on work/study program abroad. We got a new car (Xpander) which my father was able to purchase after borrowing money from us. That money could’ve been used for my Japan trip on December (plot twist it was cancelled due to fucking corona) but it’s okay I guess I’ll save another again.
I also got my student permit (yes I learned how to drive months after hehe)
July
THIS WAS MY BIGGEST DOWNFALL FOR THIS YEAR. There were some modifications in the quarantine and so my employer required and FORCED us to report on site in Makati despite of high number of positive cases. All I can say is SCREW THEM and I hope karma will do its thing on their business. The management.. the bosses.. they are all inconsiderate fucks for not allowing me to work at home instead. The situation forced me to resign but they chose to terminate me instead. The unemployment took its toll on my mental health, it caused me great depression and anxiety which forced me to look for distractions.. anything that will ease my mind.
Tumblr media
Oh and btw, I bought my first laptop from hard earned money. Oh boy, it was satisfying to give myself the things my parents couldn’t afford that time I was still in school. It’s a gaming laptop and the one I’m using to type now. I absolutely love it and I used it to find online jobs later on..
I read Looking for Alaska by John Green again after watching the TV series on Hulu. Geez, this has to be my favorite book so far. The seeking of great perhaps.. which was very timely on my mood while having nothing else to do.
Tumblr media
Lastly, TAYLOR SWIFT RELEASED A NEW ALBUM CALLED FOLKLORE. In the middle pandemic? Awesome right and this album kept me sane during this crazy and miserable month. Oh and on December, she released folklore’s sister album.. Evermore. Miss Swift saved me again with her music. This will definitely be one of the albums I will play when I’m old and gray knitting sweaters and wearing cardigan.
Tumblr media
August
I started and finished my driving lesson in manual. JFC, I realized driving gives me a huge anxiety. One thing is for sure, I will prefer to drive automatic. Not driving that shit again.
I was still hooked with Looking for Alaska. Also purchased Subtle Art of not Giving a F*ck on the time I bought LFA.
On the other hand, I was also actively looking for new jobs this time.
Tumblr media
September
ON SEPT. 30 I GOT HIRED! I was super happy to start on a new job. It gave me hope once again to continue on this journey called life. After almost 3 months, we are def back to business!
Tumblr media
I also got the chance to get this Thyroid issue checked. Unfortunately, there was no major stuff going on with my thyroid. Basically, I’m perfectly healthy. What sucks is that the doctor invalidated my previous condition and said I only have ~anxiety which is the cause of my symptoms (excessive sweating and palpitations). I will seek professional help on this anxiety stuff anytime in the future.
Lastly, I played Grand Chase again and met someone in the game. Well technically we haven’t met yet but since then, I got used to talking with this guy and he is part of my daily routine now. I won’t spoil much details but as soon as this is all over, I can’t wait to meet this person :)
*cue Grand Chase soundtrack*

October
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEE! It was a typical birthday. I don’t have much realizations. If I had one, I need to think thoroughly again lol.
Busy with training on the new job and this has been the most challenging training I ever had since I started working.
NOVEMBER
WORK WORK WORK. Super stressed and my anxiety was on the roof. I thought of giving up already but then again it was too early to quit. I haven’t seen my full potential on this job yet and so I chose to keep on fighting.
I also finally got braces. Let’s get these smiles fixed.
Tumblr media
December
WORK WORK WORK AGAIN. My work caused me a huge anxiety cause I was given high priority cases -.-But overall, I can say the holidays went great. I finally got to spend time with the family outside. Don’t worry cause we still practiced precautions and I guess it wouldn’t hurt to go out once in a while to have some fresh air. We went to the beach and pretty much that’s the highlight of this month.
Things are getting serious with this guy I’m talking about.. Seriously, he makes me happy every single day.
I also won in Christmas raffle. Oppo phone. (I have the odds in my favor when it comes to raffles lol)
Feels weird to celebrate this holiday too thinking a lot of hardships were experienced in the last few months of quarantine. I was thinking about all the lives lost by covid and hoping they are in the peaceful place now..
Tumblr media
JANUARY (NOW)
After everything that happened, oddly the start of the year gives me a sense of hope. Sure I am still carrying the trauma 2020 gave me but I am slowly leaving all of them behind. I want a fresh start and I want to let go of the things that gave me pain. I don’t have solid resolutions just like in my teenage years. Guess I’m too old for that. Not saying it’s okay to not have plans for the future and just go with the flow but I promise to not be too hard on myself and to not pressure myself on the goals I haven’t achieved yet. It’s really a struggle to plan things ahead given the situation but as always, I will do my best. I will stop comparing my progress to somebody else’s cause everyone has their own timeline.
I will listen to my heart and my mind to determine the things I really want. I promise to reevaluate the decisions I am making each day. I will not be afraid of making mistakes because that’s how I learn.
I am embracing my anxiety of uncertainty. It’s okay to feel afraid because I am always trying on how to overcome my fear. I strive each day because I am more than just a ball of anxiety. The palpitations.. the sweating.. they don’t define me. I have the power to control them and they won’t stop me from being the better version of myself.

the match cuts were beautiful, the homage 2 walt and what jesse learned from him despite the sheer evil he inflicted was palpable, there was closure in so many little areas that i didn’t even ASK for
the bad guys were Meh and i’m a lil bizarrified at jesse going full arthur morgan high noon with a .22 KLSDKFKDLSF but i’m not Mad at anything, alaska is obvious but a lil cliché but OTHER THAN THAT
i gotta ramble somewhere about lil details !
- jesse wears like NOTHING of his own in the entire movie like he’s given clothes from todd etc, skinny + badger (beanie esp), new ones that don’t reflect him at all at the end, like it rly reinforces just how isolated he’s gonna be forever like alaska is all well and good but jesse’s only got a small slice of freedom, he can never have his own identity again and has to live under a guise pretending to be someone else EVERY single day, just seriously reflect on how fucked that is
- love all the lil things that i EXPECT tbh thanks to brba, i.e match cuts (shower scene especially), colour theory (yellow + red most prominent in el cam.ino it seems but also GREEN - money), parallels and allusions (i could be here all day listing), lighting (jesse + walt walking literally into the shadows / jesse and lighter / flashlight), soundtrack (search montage + ending), the acknowledgement that walt taught jesse as much as he destroyed him, the callback to brock at the end without a full blown reunion (would’ve been unnecessary and cliché)
- jesse’s mindset was PRISTINE i didn’t disagree with a single choice he made as pertaining to his characterisation : shaving at the beginning despite the risk bc he can be CLEAN again, still trying to see the good in the worst people, i.e. trying to find justified reasons for todd to kill his cleaning woman - did she steal your money? what did she do?, then the gut instinct of wanting to escape but relenting to subservience (pepperoni pizza scene) - big dick energy of not having anything left to live for and therefore no longer being scared to die (SO easily paralleled to early season brba scenes w/tuco), killing so easily at the end was not surprising
i also liked the cameos! i wasnt drenched in characters from brba but had enough scattered to make me nostalgic and familiar, his parents were adequately reinforced Assholes but i like that they balance out with the attempts at parenthood - picnics, turn yourself in, their behaviour during the phone call as well as jesse’s reassurances to them - like they clearly tried but it was minimal effort thrown out the window at the first sign of a more conventionally talented son so FUCK them, it rly speaks wonders that while walt did Way more to ruin jesse he also did way more to support him like y’all are THAT bad at parenting huh ...
also we KNOW my thematic refs to bugs in my portrayal so lil beetle scene was v good to me :) and ed’s desc of jesse as having a tat of a large insect above his brow like yes give me associations x

The Phoenix Report
Fact versus Fiction
About four years ago while I was studying psychic phenomena and psychic development in humans, I stumbled across a book written by Major Ed Dames and titled Tell Me What You See.  I was immediately drawn in by the author’s claims that our military had been running a psychic spy program for the last two decades.  Reading the book led me to more questions and a Pandora’s Box whose seal should never be broken.  But an unrelenting curiosity found me spending the next two years reading everything I could get my hands on that pertained to the clandestine Stargate program. Two years later, Sergeant Major Seth Phoenix was born from the research that uncovered a real life psychic/telekinetic living in Russia during the Stargate era and ultimately inspired the creation of The Phoenix Series.
During the course of research for this book project, I studied a number of subjects, locations, and phenomena.  Of most significance to me was the content concerning psychic development in humans and the genetic factors that were involved.  During the Stargate program, soldiers were trained to be psychic spies by using a method called remote viewing.  I was later informed that remote viewing could be taught to anybody, but the military’s real interest was in those individuals who tested high for psychic abilities such as clairvoyance and ESP.
The Stargate program was in operation for more than two decades and consumed a twenty million dollar budget by the time it was terminated in November, 1995.  The U.S. Army’s top remote viewers were consulted to help locate missing children and criminals, as well as, spy on foreign governments.  The program was also reportedly used to locate American hostages taken by a group of Iranians who took over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran from November 4, 1979 to January 20, 1981.  While the Clinton Administration has been noted for shutting down the Stargate program, the top secret operation was actually born in 1975 and saw the support of three presidents, most notably Ronald Reagan.
On March 2, 1990, Tom Clancy’s The Hunt for Red October was released in movie theatres all across America.  The film told the story of a Russian submarine captain wishing to defect.  The typhoon-class nuclear missile sub was actually copied after a real life vessel that the Russians had been building for some time.  U. S. Army Remote Viewer 001, Joseph McMoneagle has been credited with discovering the Russian submarine’s manufacturing point during a remote viewing session.
Stargate was conducted at Fort Meade, Maryland in a wood frame shed that served as the base headquarters.  The program was highly classified with only about one hundred people supposedly aware of its existence.  All remote viewers were required to sign an oath stating an absolute commitment to secrecy.  Any breach of their contracts could result in a $10,000 fine and possible jail time.
Defense Intelligence Headquarters, 1988 at the height of the Stargate Program
These paranormal studies were also being conducted by the military and in association with the Stanford Research Institute located in California.  SRI was once affiliated with Stanford University until it became a separate entity in 1970.  As a non-profit research institute, it was dedicated to client sponsored research and development that included the U.S. Army’s remote viewing program.
Stanford Research Institute
HAARP
HAARP, this U.S. Air Force Installation is now run by the University of Alaska Fairbanks
By September, 1995, the CIA had already ceased all remote viewing work and all staff members had been reassigned somewhere else.  At the end of the CIA’s review of the Stargate program and its real contribution to the military, it was decided that the project had not offered significant findings and would therefore be terminated by November.  Opponents to the program’s shutdown argued that the assessment took less than two months to review over twenty-three years of research.  And of the thousands of sessions conducted, only ten experiments of the last twelve months of operation were studied.  In other words, only one percent of the program’s total available data was considered in the review.
After Stargate’s official termination, some staff members commented that the program had ended due to a number of reasons but most notably due to a lack of support within the military and intel, poor management, and lastly because the media was gathering.  Others still believe to this day that the United States is secretly operating the Stargate program.
Another military based research project of paranormal interest to me was the HAARP program located near Gakona, Alaska.  Work on the HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) was begun in 1993 and headed by the United States Air Force, United States Navy, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks.  The program’s research focuses on the study of the ionosphere and its reaction to the sun.  The research was intended to benefit the military’s communication and navigational systems.  The program was said to be successful in helping to develop better communication methods for submarines.  But in spite of the program’s declarations, conspiracy theories have abounded.
According to many conspiracy theorists, HAARP is nothing more than a machine developed by the United States to control the weather and use it as a weapon.  Some theorists blame HAARP for global warming, earthquakes, tornadoes, and hurricanes.  And it has been said that HAARP is an instrument used for mind control.  While these theories have never been proven, the program was officially shut down by the United States Air Force in 2014, but the University of Alaska assumed ownership of the program and its facility by August, 2015.  At the time of this writing (April, 2017), the program is said to be officially back up and running.
While setting up the story outline for The Phoenix Series, I investigated psychic phenomena known as telekinesis and extra sensory perception (ESP).  As a believer, my research was not aimed at debunking the supernatural but more importantly, it was aimed at understanding it.  If telekinesis was a real and natural occurrence among certain individuals, what was causing it to happen?  And one more question.  Why are some people more psychic than others?
Reports of psychic abilities, telepathic communication, and supernatural phenomena such as telekinesis have been noted for centuries.  In fact, some statistics suggest that more than fifty percent of Americans believe in the paranormal and the supernatural such as miracles or angelic appearances.  During my analysis of psychic individuals, I noticed a few parallels that coincided with some of the information I had studied.  In one of the books that I read involving psychic children (The Children of Now), it stated that a common denominator among psychic people was the appearance of blue eyes.  And after examining pictures of the remote viewers in the Stargate program, I noticed that the top four of the program’s remote viewers appeared to have blue eyes.

I then decided to look at other famous psychics to see if they shared the same traits.  I searched for famous individuals who claimed to possess psychic or supernatural abilities.  One of the most convincing was Jeanne Dixon, the astrologer and psychic who reportedly had a dream of John F. Kennedy’s assassination prior to the event.  She even called The White House and asked the president not to go to Dallas.  And the color of her eyes?  She was a blue-eyed beauty with red hair.  So does this mean that a brown-eyed person cannot be psychic?  Of course not.  But the parallels are there and worth consideration.
In other references, I found medical research that explained how psychics often share the same characteristics such as being ambidextrous.  And they often report that someone in their immediate family either has the “gift” of insight now, or it may have been present in a relative now deceased.  Could this suggest that “psychic gifts” are genetic?
Other noted traits of the psychic sometimes involved a near death encounter and/or an out of body experience, known as a Near Death Experience (NDE).  The individual often reported a spike in their abilities after surviving a near fatal event.  Science has attempted to explain the NDE as a hallucination experienced from a lack of oxygen.  However, there are literally millions of people who have experienced NDE’s and the similarities of their stories are too uncanny to dismiss.
The final part of this project’s research landed me in the middle of Nina Kulagina’s biography.  Born on July 30, 1926, the Russian psychic and telekinetic served in the Russian army at the young age of fourteen.  She reportedly was able to move objects at will, and it was said that the Russian housewife also possessed healing abilities.  She was studied by dozens of scientists and became an international name when she demonstrated the ability to stop a frog’s heart during a scientific experiment held March 10, 1970.

Nina Kulagina was the inspiration for Nikita Oleshun’s character in The Phoenix Series.  The small framed, brown-eyed woman was married to a Russian engineer and had three children.  She sustained a battle injury to the abdomen that caused chronic pain for most of her life.  In her later years, it was stated that her abilities had faded possibly due to aging, chronic pain from the battle wound, and the effects of childbirth.  She died on April 11, 1990 from a heart attack.  She was 63 years old.
In conclusion, writing The Phoenix Series has been exciting.  I will miss the sergeant major and his Russian friend, Nikita.  However, my research into unexplained mysteries will never cease.  Having experienced a NDE at the age of fifteen and witnessing too many paranormal encounters to list, I will remain a believer in the possibility of supernatural phenomena.  And it isn’t a coincidence that you are reading this report; because in a world of infinite possibilities, there is no such thing as accidents.  Just remember, in the end and by direct orders of the CIA, this never happened.
  Until we meet again,
