all companion's hugs in the epilogue

dammon is absolutely the funniest character in bg3 if your tav is with karlach because he immediately shows up before you even have the option to romance her and then proceeds to be so incredibly charming and handsome and important to karlach in so many different ways that there is absolutely no way your character could ever compete with him on any level whatsoever. every time you run into him with karlach in your party he's like oh hey ta- KARLACH YOU'RE HERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME I DREAM OF YOU EVERY NIGHT AND EVERY DAY I PRAY FOR YOUR SAFE RETURN. I HAVE SPENT EVERY WAKING HOUR WORKING OUT WAYS TO REINFORCE YOUR ENGINE, OPEN YOUR CHEST HOLE LET'S TOUCH INTIMATELY IN FRONT OF YOUR SPOUSE and ur like damn she never lets me touch her chest hole. and then when you reach the epilogue he literally sends you a letter that's like "hey tav. are you still alive? give this to karlach if you are. .....HI KARLACH I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERY DAY PLEASE COME OVER. love, dammon" and then the best part hits when you finally do a karlach origins run and discover that there is just absolutely no way to romance him whatsoever and so you both proceed to just pine after each other religiously for the entire game while whoever you actually romance is standing in the background like what. do you. do you guys want me to leave the room or

Ok so apparently in Astarion’s solo spawn ending he becomes a wandering adventurer/bounty hunter and takes a shine to being a hero. Talking about how it’s a nice change of pace, inspiring hope instead of terror…well, a little terror. He’s still him.

But here’s the fun bit: according to the monster manual, vampire spawn still have regenerative abilities (outside of sunlight), resistance to non-magical piercing/slashing/bludgeoning damage, and spider climb. The tadpole removed those buffs in addition to the nerfs (also they would have made him too strong). So Astarion has spider climb and can climb upside down along walls and ceilings in, well, lizard fashion.

But imagine Astarion stalking some corrupt baron in the middle of the night. He’s got guards in his pocket patrolling the grounds.

None of them think to look up.

The corrupt baron goes to his chambers. Deliberate motion catches his attention. He looks up to see something on the ceiling.

Red eyes. A gleaming, fanged, vicious smile.

“Hello.”

And then there’s a great deal of violence.

Am I a fan of Ascended Astarion? Nope

Is that going to stop me from obsessing over Astarion as a bat/ batstarion? Also No.

RWBY V9 Epilogue Response

I LEGIT STARTED CRYING!!!!

Seriously this was freaking amazing, I need RWBY to continue, to be finished by these amazing people!

OK, OK, OK, but like, this was such a brilliant way to show the passage of time, less one sequential event after another and more via a collection of different character perspectives that let us see how things have been going, each one colored by the various characters unique perspectives.

The contrast of Winter's despair and Qrow's optimism, of Nora taking the world on her shoulders & Ren trying to ease his loved one's burdens. Oscar & Ozpin actually being on the same page and fighting the merge. It's all so good and I love all the shots with secondary characters in each scene helping give us a stronger idea how they and by extension everyone else is coping or not coping with things. Seriously, just brilliant storytelling!

Also the fact the massive air fleet & Amity arrived at the same time as RWBY & Jaune, that fits the turning of the tides theme of V9's ending so perfectly and I can see why the Blacksmith sent the team back 'then' given that means a bunch of good things are going to happen at once and do a lot to restore hope.

I also love the general world building, discussing Vacuo's history of colonization, how settlements are being upkept, and gods the loss of Vale, S-assy girl on tumblr predicted it years ago but I still didn't see it coming to this extent. Low key glad Tai's not there cos I'm me and very intrigued about what Glynda is up to. Plys Tyrian, my favorite bastard man, he's here and the Crown is evidently not done with yet either!

Also is Ruby gonna have a cult? I think she should have a cult. It wouldn't help but it'd be interesting, also nice seeing the Happy Huntresses, love them. Plus Raven bringing the team in, ooh I just LOVE THIS!

Gods this is all so good and I need so much more, I have not felt this energized in a long time, thanks so much for sharing this with us, I love the directions everyone is taking!
