As someone who works with a lot of instructors, I see a fair amount of names going around. Thus, I would like to say: I am always surprised by how few Pokémon names I see going around for children.
Yes, you may see the typical Roselia or “Luke, short for the Lucario that saved my life ten years ago”. Even saw a girl named Starly once.
But I have to say, coming into this role, I expected to see at least a few more Marills. Maybe a Cherrim. Or even a few children named after those legendary creatures of old (though I have heard “Zaci” is growing in popularity in Galar, lately…)
What sorts of Pokémon names as human names have you all seen?

Today, I've got some silly results to share from our on-campus Pokémon Day celebration! (Which I "forgor 💀" to post about. My B!)
We asked you all to bring your Pokémon partner to the Schoolyard and tell us your favorite thing or story about them--and you all delivered!
🥇Here's the speeches we really... treasured!🥇
The "Most Applause" category, for the student who brought a Clodsire up to the stage, said "He is baby", and walked off!
The "Best Getaway" category, for the student who brought their Toedscool to the stage, set her down, and then watched as she "booked it" to the cafeteria at lightning pace!
The "Most Passionate" category, for Penny, who spent a good hour of our time discussing Veevees. With no script. You go, girl!
The "Most Educational" category, for Nemona, who gave us all an hour and twenty minute speech on her choice of effort value investment and moves for her Kommo-o!
The "Best Demonstration" category, for the student who timed how long his Quaxly would take to fix its incredible pompadour (the answer is 3 seconds--perhaps a new "GOAT"?)
And the "Most Unique" award for... you know that student! As usual! They made a point of bringing in Kyogre and Groudon, live, in person! We would like to humbly request that never happen again.

I'm Clive, a normal academy student. Nothing more, nothing less.
Welcome to my SICK web page. I am Clive, a student at Naranja-Uva academy. I will not be posting my age, because that's "mad sketch" and not a safe use of the internet. But using people's preferred pronouns is "lit", so I will say that my pronouns are he/him.
I have joined Rotomblr on the advice of some of my BOMBASTIC friends. Fellow young students. Apparently many academy students use this website to discuss daily goings-on at the academy. And which of you are going into the Great Crater (which is NOT BASED).
And I want to share my daily YOLO moments too. Maybe I can spread some #Clivespiration with my team. (IGNORE THE IMAGE ON MY TRAINER CARD. I AM NOT SURE WHY IT RESEMBLES DIRECTOR CLAVELL AND IS MISSING MY STYLIN' POMPADOUR.)
Oranguru is my "best bro". We have been together for many years, but not that many. After all, I am clearly still in my student years. I have met many other "cray-cray" Pokémon on my travels through Paldea, as you can see on my (clearly mistaken) trainer card. I would be happy to discuss them in "asks". Or any concerns any students have about the academy. This account is always a safe space to discuss any bullying, harassment, or other challenging experiences you encounter during your time at Naranja-Uva. Because your friend Clive is a COOL GUY like that.

Hello. You all asked for it. So @aceoflilies (you may also know me as humming-pokemon-helpers) presents: Clive. (Okay, he's pretty obviously Clavell, but he's trying.)
Mod Ace (she/him) is an adult (21), happy to interact with anyone via asks, reblogs, DM's, etc. Any notes from mod will be denoted with //, or //OOC.
I'll mostly stick to canon here, but happy to interact outside it. Planning to stay mostly low-stakes here, but who knows. Clavell is the director of the biggest academy in Paldea after all.

I hear the clamoring of many students. Certainly not out loud on Rotomblr, but... I'm sure somewhere!
"Oh, Clive. Penny's off having the BEST. SPRING BREAK. EVER. What are you doing for spring break?!"
I hear your calls, and I am here to answer them... with a selfie.
[It's an image of Clive... in the upper levels of Area Zero?! You're pretty sure you can see Geeta, looking mildly annoyed, in the background... and a Iron Bundle.]
"Whaaaaaa?! Betrayal!!!!" I can hear your words from here, and this is part of an announcement: We are planning to institute a certification course for Champion-Rank students to gain Area Zero permits!
This comes from a few places: we’ve finally “100 percented” Area Zero as a location, as well as its Pokémon! We’ve also had a few brave students chart it out before, so we’re confident Champion Rank is a good qualifier. As well as classes. And supervision on the first visit, to make sure you can navigate OK. We hope this curbs some of the hype around sneaking past the poor guards for peeps, too! Not pointing any fingers, “OFC”.
Look forward to our class on Area Zero’s topology and species soon… 👀

All of you... I have a terribly important announcement to make today. You see, I have been pulling the wool over your eyes for many months, and I intend to set the score quite straight. The truth is... your good student friend, Clive the Cool Guy, is actually...
Director Clavell. I know, I have held steadfast against the rumors! Surely this must come as a shock to all of you. But I hope you can understand the stressful situation under which I would maintain my anonymity. Unfortunately, I am not as "hip" or "with it" as you all are. And I have been told many times I am unapproachable. As such, I found it necessary to take measures to understand the student body better and give aid and advice without being an intimidating force...
Which is why I want to say today, with all of my heart...

That one's a real knee-slapper, isn't it?! Me, Clavell?! After I've had to deny it "Over 9000" times in my inbox?! XD Good thing I chose such an obvious prank that it's "GONE RIGHT" rather than "GONE WRONG 3AM"! :-)

This year, we’re bringing back an old school tradition! (Ask your gramps about it.) Since you all so kindly wear those uniforms day after day… when YOU walk the stage, YOU pick your outfit!
It could be anything under the great Solgaleo: giant inflatable Tyrantrum. Old T-shirt and shorts that say “I Hate Naranja-Uva” (say it isn’t so!). That cool Kitakami Jinbei you got abroad. Incredibly accurate Clive cosplay. (Please? 🥺) Or just a regular cap and gown. We have those. For free. As long as you have enough clothing to meet public decency standards and nothing particularly profane or offensive on, though, strut your stuff! And then, enjoy the rest of your life wearing whatever the heck you want.
