A request for an Orym POV follow up to this post by @epicwalrus
Falling for Ashton is very different for Orym he’s been in love before so he’s not unfamiliar with the intensity of it like Ashton is. Whereas Ashton is constantly startled by the intensity of it all, for Orym it’s a warm cozy feeling that he gets to fall back into.
He just experiences this warm glow in his chest whenever Ashton smiles at him, or let’s Orym take care of him. Let’s the warmth and happiness of the feelings flow through his whole body with a small smile on his face, and feels peaceful again at long last. While Ashton’s vibrating with the feeling, Orym is meditating with it.
This doesn’t mean he’s not scared, he’s been here before with Will and he’s terrified of losing Ashton too. Especially as they go up against Otohan and the grey assassins who have already taken so much from him. Some nights he wakes from nightmares and just posts himself on watch. Shaking apart convinced that if he goes back to sleep the assassins will show up to take this from him too. On the nights this wakes up Ashton, they’ll join him on watch. Tucking Orym into his side until he can breathe normally again, and tries to convince him to get a little more sleep.
Yet none of the fear outweighs the absolute softness he becomes around Ashton. Always leaving flowers where he knows Ashton will find them, when Ashton naps they often wake up to find a flower crown atop their head. He always blusters and rants about it, but doesn’t remove the flower crown until that evening. They have a book hidden away where they press all the flowers Orym makes for them.

last song listened to: Bitch by Meredith Brooks. I dug out some old mixed CDs to play in my car for a recent road trip and this was on one of them. Just realising now that I made that particular mixed CD 20 years ago. Wow.
favourite colour: Purple (<- same!) Silver is a close second.
currently watching: Heroes is the Cdrama of the moment that's helping fill in the dead time on the night shifts I'm covering this month, my sister chose Ancient Love Poetry for our new watch-together show, and when I don't have the brain space for subtitles I've been working my way through The X Files.
last movie/show: Show - my sister and I recently finished Tale of The Nine Tailed 1938. Movie - Dr Qin: Melody in the Rain starring Ying Haoming as Dr Qin.
spicy/savoury/sweet?: I dont know that I have a definite favourite, but probably savoury beats out the other two?
last thing you googled: “New Zealand noise laws" because of a conversation I was having with a coworker about the repercussions for repeat offenders.

Currently working on: still inventorying my books - i'm using speech-to-text because hand-typing on a phone = no thank you, but the bronchitis did put a stop to that for quite a while
(highly recommend Libib app if anyone else is doing this bc you can scan a barcode to enter a book, but if, as in the case of my dad's old stuff, the book doesn't *have* a barcode you can use regular google voice typing to input title etc)
also trying to exercise (walk, dance) while the weather is nice here

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently, I primarily write for Daomu Biji, and also have active WIPs for Guardian and Mo Dao Zu Shi/Chen Qing Ling. Some of those DMBJ and Guardian fics are crossovers with Granting You A Dreamlike Life and Mo Du, although I haven't written anything solely for those fandoms.
Previously, I've written for Star Trek, Sailor Moon, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, World of Warcraft, and A Court of Thorns and Roses. I've also written a Star Trek/Hello Kitty crossover, but I don't really count that as writing for the Hello Kitty fandom.

I always mean to, but I'm really really bad at it. My backlog for comments to respond to is... embarrassingly long. I will eventually catch up, though!

TBH, most of my fics have happy endings. I couldn't say which one is the happiest.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Rarely, but it has happened. One of the biggest reasons why Nevermore is still incomplete is because a nasty comment on a snippet I posted here just killed my desire to write at all for awhile.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes, but I find it awkward and prefer to let my co-writers write those parts. Current smut is M/M or (M/M/M). In the past, I have also written F/F and F/M.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
That would be the aforementioned Star Trek/Hello Kitty crossover, The Story Freya Made Me Write.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
The Death of Zoisite - translated to Russian

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Many times! @xantissa and @alxina are my usual partners in crime, @epicwalrus and I have plans for sequels to the fic we co-wrote last year, and Unlearn the Way Of Being Strangers was co-written with 10 other writers from the Yucun Discord server. Some of my Star Trek fics were also co-written - most of the crackfics were co-written with Occy, and one was a round robin fic written by several of us on the alt.startrek.creative Usenet forum.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
That's a difficult one! I'm going to say pingxiesang, since @xantissa and I pioneered that one, but I'm also very partial to pingxie by itself, as well as weilan and harumichi.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
A Court of Azeroth and Prythian. All the fuckery with Blizzard Activision really killed my interest in World of Warcraft.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Spelling, grammar, dialogue
17. What are your writing weaknesses?

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I use words here and there, but that's about it. For one, I don't feel confident enough in my knowledge of other languages to write dialogue in any of them. For another, most of my readers also do not have enough knowledge of the language to understand without a translation, and I find that usually makes for clunky writing/reading.

Another hard one. I was able to narrow it down to a handful, but I couldn't decide between these!
