ENOUGH WITH THE NSFW SHITE! imma do a fluffy drabble for my beloved
emmy you are so real for this because yes, elvis would act like a little kid.
in fact, he would be pouting the whole way to Graceland, mumbling about how it hurts so damn much.
“ issit supposed to hurt this bad? ” he asks as he looks at you, grabbing your hand.
“ yes, baby, they took your teeth-. ” you try to explain but get quickly interrupted.
“ ALL OF 'EM?! ”
and you would have to hold yourself from laughing at the sight of his eyes widening and his mouth opening.
it would be like babysitting a baby. how did you managed to make him eat his dinner? you have no idea but you pray thankful to God every night after that.
the real pain in the ass would be when it's time for sleep.
“ doll, i can't sleep. ”
“ yes, you can. but you have to take these pills- the doctor said it, elvis! ” you quickly add as he whines, throwing his arm up before hitting the bed with his hand.
“ no fair! i hate pills! — small motherfuckers. ” he mutters the last part.
you laugh, bewildered. “ elvis! ” you hit him softly in his shoulder, your other hand holding the pill.
and after a few minutes of you begging him to take the goddamn pills, you stand up from the bed. “ okay, fine. don't drink 'em, just don't be whining later. ”
elvis huffs. “ yea', i won'! ” he turns around before whining an 'ow!' at the pain of the pillow hitting his sensitive zone.
you roll your eyes.
you left him unsupervised ONE SECOND-
and at 3 am, you find yourself standing next to him, your hands in your waist as elvis gulps the pills down.
he looks at you.
you look at him.
“ don't you dar-. ”
“ told ya'. ”
“ DOLL! ”
but, okay, you have to admit, he has his adorable moments.
like when you two are cuddling in the couch, few hours before that, elvis has his arms around your waist, his face in your chest as your hand caresses his hair and the other one holds the book.
elvis would sometimes ask you to read him some paragraphs of the books he would buy for you. now with the pain, he begs. as he reasons that it helps him distract himself from the pain.
“ after that, jane turns to fairfax rochester-. ”
“ wait, why is she still there? he treated her like shit. ”
one thing elvis liked to do was add his commentary.
“ you'll see. ”
elvis huffs, his hair slightly hitting your chin. “ i would never treat you like that. ”
you have to hold your laugh. “ i know, baby. ”
“ i would cry myself to sleep. ”
you turn to him. “ huh? ”
“ yeah, if i ever screamed at you or something i would do the most evil things to m'self, i rather eat raw fish than scream at you. ” he then breaks the position you two were in, he grabs your shoulders and makes you look at him. then, he seriously says: “ i would do anything for you. i would drink horse piss-. ”
“ okay, enough. ” you, disgusted, say as you cover his mouth with your free hand before making him cuddle you. he happily complies.
in his defense, the drug hasn't worn out so... just... ignore his weird thoughts.
just treat him right! that boy loves you to death and he would never forget how caring you were in that week he needed to heal.

Human Resources / Big Mouth is one of those things where I feel like more people should watch it and also it's something that no one else should see lol. It's a massive comfort show for me. Ever since Walter and Sonia the love bugs were introduced in season 5 I was like 'oh if I was in this universe I'd be a love bug', but season 1 of Human Resources just solidified that for me. Roomie, hubby and I have a LOT of conversations around the lore of Big Mouth and who would be what and why. Hubs would be a Logic Rock, roomie would be an Ambition Gremlin. Kinda wanna draw them now. jdkshfjkds.
Also if you ever wanna do a fantastic character writing exercise, figure out who would be on your ocs' human resources team.
So I doodled up a little Human Resources sona, Kaiza the love bug. They're Emmy Fairfax's distant cousin, and by that I mean Emmy once threw up in their favorite purse at a family reunion so Kaiza doesn't bother asking how they're doing anymore. But like Emmy, Kaiza's hate worm is a fuckin beast but fizzles out fairly quickly (of course depending on the client and situation too). Kaiza is a proficient, really validating side of love and shows that to their clients, but unfortunately doesn't do well having a normal client load, so after a big ol' mental breakdown the Tube only gives them what they can handle.
Kaiza works well with some hormone monsters, but not many. Kaiza and Gavin actively sabotage each other, and Kaiza brings a spray bottle for Tyler because they just fuckin' can't.
