Bit of a hot take, but Blaze’s friendship with Cream and Sonic deserves just as much (if not in some ways even more so) attention and exploration as her friendship with Silver given how much they hugely impacted Blaze and helped her to grow as a person. This applies both to canon and in the fandom space.

#look yes I get it- Blaze and Silver’s friendship is really cute and there’s a reason why they’re popular as a duo ever since 06 #certainly not trying to discredit their friendship or I guess folks that love to ship silvaze #BUT Cream and Sonic literally changed Blaze forever and I guarantee if it wasn’t for them then she and Silver never could’ve been friends #Cream was the one who first opened Blaze up to friendship #Sonic imparted on her that she doesn’t have to carry the world on her shoulders #at least not alone #not to mention teaching her how to activate burning Blaze and properly control the Sol emeralds #their friendship with Blaze just means so much to me okay-#also I can understand people instantly jump to Silver when thinking of Blaze’s friends given I think far more people played or knew about 06 #while Rush was only on the DS and while there’s certainly a sizable number of fans I’ve seen that have also played the game it’s still few #but even understanding that I can’t help but feel a smidge upset that I rarely see cream + Blaze or sonic + Blaze one on one interactions #and this isn’t even talking about shipping whether Silvaze or Sonaze: just them being good friends #I could probably go on about Rush forever-#sonic the hedgehog #sonic #sonic rush #blaze the cat #blaze #inky axolotl talks #cream the rabbit

There was this one fanfic I had read on 2021 (spring/summer) abt techno and philza (and ranboo and tubbo??? I might be misremembering). It was pretty much about them meeting each other and finding comfort and hope and courage to leave this sad and mechanical and unfeeling town

iirc it was called lonesome town from Ricky Nelson’s song (or some other lyric of the same song)

okay so like imagine. phil get kidnapped by forever and hes there for a long time. he thinks that everyone forgot about him. the only person he sees is forever; he comes in every day at first then eventually, he starts coming less and less. forever stops coming altogether eventually, and phil is convinced he’s gonna starve to death, alone and bound in chains.

the one night, the door opens. phil doesn’t bother looking up. he’s been completely broken by this point.

“are you finally going to just kill me?” he asks, thinking that forever is standing there.

“aw, c’mon, phil. it hasn’t been that long since you last saw me, old man. you really think i’d do that to you?”

phil’s eyes shoot open, because he knows that voice. he’d never forget it. it was--

“...techno?” phil says weakly. “is-- that really you, mate?”

technoblade only smiles. “i promise it’s really me, phil.”

the shackles are undone, and phil clings to technoblade as he lifts him into his arms.

“thank you,” phil says softly, “for saving me.”

“of course.” techno says, hurrying back to his base camp to phil some food and decent rest.

(what phil doesn’t see is forever, curled into a corner, bleeding and bruised; not quite dead, but unconscious.)

I think it’s cool that both Phil and Techno are both known to defy death in a way that doesn’t show that they’re infallible but in a human way. That even though death comes for them, their legacies are what make them immortal (c! and cc!). I don’t know if that makes sense but what I’m trying to say is that they both bring hope and make death not scary in the face of adversity which I think is interesting.
