I’m sorry but I just can’t see Lindir and Elrond together. It just doesn’t work. The only people I can picture him with it Gil Galad and Celebrian.

I have a Thing for smol anxious wrecks paired with giant soothing partners, and a Thing for relationships that begin with a power imbalance which is then negotiated through and resolved. Also they hit my size difference kink button. I know Brett is only like 2 inches shorter than Hugo in the films but I headcannon Elrond at 7' and jacked (armor and medical patients and swords are HEAVY), and Lindir's like a whole head and shoulders shorter than him and an absolute twink.

And like from a sexual standpoint Lindir is the sweetest cutest softest little devoted sub who literally could get you off and not even care if he comes or not, and Elrond when he’s domming is the most gentle soft-power indulgent dom there is and it’s so adorable. And they share a massive praise kink, too.

Lindir’s first thought is to ask why this elf was in the garden if it was forbidden, but he bites back the words. Surely, he had a good reason, likely a better one than Lindir’s own. “I...am lost” he admits, “I’ve just arrived here in Imladris, you see, and, well, I was a bit overwhelmed. Very overwhelmed, actually…” He glances away, embarrassed. The elf’s grey eyes softened from the chilly distance they had been appraising him with from before. “Well then,” He offers Lindir a hand, which Lindir tentatively accepts as he is pulled to his feet, “allow me to welcome you to Imladris. I am Elrond Peredhel.”

summary: Lindir leaves his parents cottage for the first time to find his place in Imladris, but when he gets overwhelmed and has to escape the bustle of the last homely house, he meets Elrond in the overgrown remnants of Celebrian's garden. Perhaps this chance meeting is good for both of them in ways they would never suspect.

So tempted to go buy the Les enquêtes de Setna tetralogy too. 🤔 And I think the 12th book of Witch Hat Atelier is out and am excited to read what happens next.

Here's a little chunk of the Elrondir modern AU that I keep poking at. :) Lindir helping Elrond try on some lipstick.

Lindir’s eyebrows drew together. Then, he nervously ventured: “Do...would you like...would you like to try some?” Elrond’s gaze snapped back to his, and Lindir was struck again by how abashed he looked. How...almost vulnerable… and it felt so strange and fragile: to be handed that vulnerability from someone like him. Lindir couldn’t imagine why he was letting him see this.  He rushed on anxiously: “It would only be fair. You fixed my hair, after all. So-- so-- I mean, I’d be happy to-- um-- if you would like--”  Elrond turned toward him on the bench, the starlight spilling across his face and casting every perfect plane of it into relief. Lindir’s heart rate sped despite himself.  “Will you show me?” Elrond asked, and Lindir felt like he could just die.  Wordlessly, he nodded, and opened the little tube again and leaned forward, applying just a little of the color-- not enough to be overwhelming, but visible nonetheless-- and then, willing his hands to be steady, reaching out to smooth it out, working it in, with the pad of his thumb, perhaps lingering just a little too long on that soft skin. His eyes fell to Elrond’s lips without really meaning to, and when he looked back up, Elrond’s gaze was so intense it threatened to knock him off the bench. He drew back and offered him the compact. The coral really did look pretty on him. “It brings out your eyes, I think,” he muttered rather inanely.  Elrond took the compact and studied his reflection with undisguised curiosity.  “So it does.”

Omg I love that. In terms of the Elrond fingerfucking and painting this story for him, i’m just imaging that the multiple people in question are all Celebrían in some way (and also random ellyn that Elrond throws in) and it’s just all these Celebríans mommy-domming Lindir that Elrond regales to Lindir as he’s about to cum all over his belly due to Elrond’s long, delicious fingers….

this is especially funny to me because I imagine Elrond would just kinda naturally stray in to describing Cel as just the hottest person that comes to mind for him. 

Thankfully it’s hot for Lindir too.

And honestly in this scenario? Even if in a ‘real world’ in-character sense I can’t see them actually involving other people for it, I can see Elrond describing other people to him, like actually describing and stating that it’s Glorfindel (big, warm, passionate, likes to take his time. Three/four fingers or a wide toy), Erestor (a punishing pace, hair pulling, some possessive bites to Lindir’s neck. three fingers), Thranduil (also a rough pace but more decadent and delicious than punishing, sinking into Lindir as deep as Elrond can go or using a toy because Thranduil’s really long)--
