Sometimes, people suggest that Elizabeth is not truly romantically in love with Darcy towards the end of P&P, but just has a rational respect for his character (and property). Here are my three favorite pieces of evidence against it:
1- The coffee scene
When Darcy returns to Hertfordshire, there's a delightful period of frustrated pining between Darcy and Elizabeth. My personal favorite moment is at a gathering where Elizabeth is assigned to pour the coffee. She follows Darcy with her eyes, resents any not-her people he talks to, etc, and then gets mad at people for interrupting her by wanting coffee.
Absolutely top-tier content.
2- I do, I do like him; I love him.
Yeah, she does outright say she loves him.
There is something incredibly endearing about Elizabeth's struggle to defend her choice to her father—a choice that in this context represents many things, but IMO a big one is that she's both physically and emotionally moving beyond him.
It's also pretty funny that she has to wrangle with the legacy of Past Elizabeth's hot takes, it's bittersweet, it's a lot of things. But, ngl, my favorite part is when Mr Bennet concedes that the marriage is okay with him if she likes Darcy despite his pride and unpleasantness, and Elizabeth replies that she does like Darcy and she loves Darcy (both are important!) and it upsets her to hear him described that way. Just a lovely moment.
3- Lady Catherine v. Elizabeth
During Elizabeth's confrontation with Lady Catherine, she wonders how she could ever have thought Lady Catherine was similar to Darcy. I find this hilarious, honestly.
I mean, seeing Darcy's traits writ large in Lady Catherine is a perfectly natural and reasonable thing to do, even if it also flowed out of Elizabeth's prejudices at the time. Anyone would see the resemblance. But Elizabeth has got it so bad at this point that she's just like "how!!! could I have thought such a wrong and unfair thing." <3333
Honorable mention - Lydia aftermath
Elizabeth privately feels like she could have loved Darcy after he leaves her at the Lambton Inn post-Lydia disaster. It's only afterwards, out of scene and as the Lydia situation hits its nadir, that she realizes what her feelings for Darcy already are. It's a hellish time anyway, but she still owes half her sleepless nights to Darcy.
...out of dispassionate respect, I'm sure.

Do you think they'll ever bring the p3 protags back now that Atlus acknowledged their existence? Or you know make a new spin off game that isnt dancing or q
To be honest no. And I really hope they don't. Like don't get me wrong I adore fan works where the twins didn't die or they get resurrected hell at the moment they're alive in my own Captain AU. But I really think in terms of the canonical story it would be disrespectful to the end of P3 to bring them back. The ending of P3 was perfect and as sad as it was I truly believe it was a justified outcome. And as for spin offs? Again I hope no because I am tired of Atlus milking the previous games BUT it would be fun to see them again in some capacity like maybe a what if scenario or some game like Q. Not dancing though we really don't need anymore of those 💀

You know, as a (self-proclaimed xD) lore expert, I'd like to note one thing about your work: the Sea and the CU are one and the same.
From P1 itself, we're showm the Sea is the source of all people's consciousnesses, with Nyarla confirming it IS. Then, in Arena and P4G (Edogawa), we're told the collectice unconscious is the foundation and source of all minds.
This is due to the jungian interpretation of water and the ocean as symbols of the unconscious, and that the series uses “heart”, “soul”, “mind" and “consciousness” as (very liberal) synonyms.
And yes, by that matter, Chronos is just the same as Izanami, Yaldy and the rest of gods (except the “Star Eater"), with Margaret fully explaining in the game a little after the revelation - an entity created by humanity (archetypal) wishes. Again, all of that due to the underworld being another synonym with unconsciousness.
Honestly, that would make ao much sense. I was wondering where to put the Collective Unconscious in the map or if it was just an invisible web connecting everything (I suppose it is, since the Sea is the same).
Yeah, I changed Chronos' status as from a separate deity to a man-made one in my mind just a couple of days ago. He still holds his position as a literal overseer of souls' journeys to and from the Sea (at least in my headcanon), but came to be at a later date, way after the CU was formed. I really need someone to look after that Sea. Everyone and their mothers wants to mess with it. This would explain why he was able to leave his post without world-changing consequences. If the Sea worked without him before, it can work without him now. Can you imagine Chronos in a cute, little metaphysical boat, crossing the Sea to visit the Seal? Chronos did get to meet Minato, after all (even if the humans don't remember). Sorry, I went off topic there, but I love to talk about lore.
Thanks for this tidbit of info! Solved at least one question I had.

[ guard ] for your muse to step between my muse and danger // from makoto to bebe or maiko! dealers choice!
@quillheel Nonverbal Prompts {Open}
Tumblr media
Everything was scary. All around her were dark walls, and creepy passing sounds of something dragging over the broken tiles once in a while. Maiko isn't sure what time it was, either, but exhaustion pulls at her body as she struggles with the emotional overload. Sleeping would only be as scary as seeing whatever was out there, though. She'd barely caught a glimpse of something moving earlier, only enough to know it was not human.
Hiding past some kind of bridge, the young girl now sits in a dead end, her only hope now us that Mom or Dad would come and find her. Fear and guilt rise in her chest as the sudden image of her parents getting caught by monsters while looking for her springs to her mind, her blood running cold. It was her fault for being out here, wasnt it? She couldn't remember how she got here, but it must be all her fault. And now if they get hurt, it will be her fault, too. Unable to hold her tears back any longer she lets out a gasping sob, wiping her eyes on her thin Autumn jacket sleeve.
Maiko holds her hands over her mouth as the dragging sound suddenly gets louder. Was it...coming closer? She scoots back against the wall, holding her breath and staring at the opening bridge. Through blurry, teary, tired eyes, she makes out a shadowy blob just over the edge, crawling slowly over, then faster. She squeezes her eyes shut, curling up into a tense ball, expecting the monster to grab her. But nothing happens. Instead, the sound of many rushing footsteps bounced off the walls, followed by shouts and grunts she couldnt quite make out. Peeking between her fingers breathlessly, she sees more familiar figures of people, one standing between the monster and herself.

Could you talk a little about your MCI from your Fnaf au?
This isn’t exactly what you asked, but here’s my timeline! It’s altered a bit over the years and characters have changed roles, but this is my little AU:
1983: Evan “Jack” Afton is bitten while Henry murders Charlie behind the pizzeria. Charlie mistakes her killer for William. Fredbear’s Family Diner closes and the springlock suits are moved to Freddy’s. Jack continues to haunt Michael and creates night terrors for him.
1984: Circus Baby’s Rental opens and Elizabeth “goes missing.” William, after losing his second kid, becomes consumed with finding Elizabeth and fails to notice Henry reprogramming the animatronics. Funtime animatronics steadily kidnap/kill kids from 1984~86.
1985: Official first Missing Children’s Incident™. Henry lures five kids (Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, Fritz, and Cass) and stuffs their bodies in the suits. William is suspected but never convicted, Freddy’s is shut down.
Early 1986: William, suspecting foul play and feeling guilty, goes to the now closed Freddy’s location to search for clues. Charlie and Co, believing their killer to be William, scare him into the suit and he is springlocked. Using William as a scapegoat, Henry has the walls sealed up so that William can “remain at large” should the case be reopened. Becoming more paranoid that he will be found out, he hunts down Michael’s friends from the bite of ‘83 and hides their bodies in the not-yet-released toy animatronics.
1987: After the disappearance of his father, Michael finds William’s frantic theories over Elizabeth’s whereabouts and decides to go look for her. Scoopage occurs.
After discovering the truth of the incidents, the not-yet-rotting Michael takes a job at the new Freddy Fazbear’s under the guise of Jeremy Fitzgerald. (The dayshift guard, also named Jeremy, gets bit by Mangle) Michael comes back later as “Fritz Smith” and sneaks Charlie out with him.
~1988: Ennard (without Baby) sneaks into Michael’s apartment and asks to stay. Michael begrudgingly lets Ennard live in his closet.
~1991: Circus Baby finds Michael’s apartment and demands to stay. Michael and Ennard begrudgingly let her.
1993: Mike takes a job at the reopened Freddy’s. Finds out that his uncle (Phone Guy) died there not too long before him. Mike continues working there for a while until he gets fired for “tampering with the animatronics” and the place gets shut down. He sneaks Phone Guy’s ghost out with him and hides him in his apartment.
2017: Michael takes a job at Fazbear Fright under the name Eggs and “meets” Springtrap. Neither recognize each other and form a friendship. This culminates in the two of them burning the place down and Michael sneaking William back to his apartment, where Phone Guy reveals both of their identities to each other.
2019: Michael, in an attempt to lure Henry and kill him, franchises a Freddy’s location and steadily sneaks his animatronic family members in. It’s the most successful Freddy establishment and becomes incredibly popular. When Henry tries to burn the place down, the Afton family captures him and forces him to burn in the restaurant with them. Despite everything, everyone but Henry survives. Henry’s soul escapes into the computer.
2020: Realizing they now have to live “normal lives” in the aftermath of the fire, Michael and William retrofit illusion discs so the whole family can pose as living people.
2023: After developing into a malicious computer virus, Henry/Glitchtrap poses as a Fazbear Entertainment email address and commissions a VR studio to make the FNAF series. On top of using this to possess the beta testers, he uses this to spin the narrative that William was the murderer and that he was the hero that stopped him. Michael joins the VR team as “Iggy Wilson” in order to stop Henry.
I don’t really have anything for Security Breach. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What im most thrown by in Dark Heir is that Eleanor carried Will. With everything in the first book, with her being so firm that he is not her son - that she actually birthed him is so interesting to me and I had to go look back at the first book. Will does wonder what him not being her son means, if she found him as an infant or went through a weird pregnancy to have him but.
I wonder if he is her son. In a blood sense; I wonder if Will is Sarcean reborn AND the Blood of the Lady.
His Dark powers are sealed within him, it takes magic to touch them and I wonder if this was intended by the rebirth or this is because he has the Lady within him, sealing his stronger abilities. James can't do anything else when he's focused on magic; so if the Lady's blood is focused on sealing the Dark then of course he wouldn't be able to use Her power to do anything else.
Eleanor was Blood of the Lady, and Will follows her words like law. She is his moral compass, and although he fails her, he is tormented and anguished by that failing. I wonder if that goes deeper than her just being his mother.
We know that the prophecy is supposed to end with the Blood of the Lady killing the Dark King but it feels incredibly unfair for that to fall on Elizabeth. Visander might count now but thats too obvious; The Queen's Champion, now wearing the body of the Blood of the Lady. Thats the obvious outcome, death by his hand.
No, I wonder if Will might kill himself. Blood of the Lady, killing the Dark King. I know Pacat lets anime influence his writing, and I'm considering Code Geass. Fix things, put it all on false shoulders and kill them.

Hellsing OC Masterpost
Tumblr media
(Sorry if this post makes zero sense..)
The general premise:
It takes place post-time skip, there is some sort of international threat (still under development) that leads the Hellsing Organization to have to travel to America. However, the US government figures this out and says if they want to continue their investigation without legal persecution they have to work with their own vampire-fighting organization: Morris Co.
The characters of Morris Co are meant to be ‘mirrors’ of those in the Hellsing organization.
Morris Co:
(Since Quincey Morris was shown being dead at one point; I basically just added in ‘he left behind a son’ and made Quincey Morris a widower (which is why he proposed to Lucy))
Morris Co is a very similar organization to Hellsing, dealing with any supernatural threats that threaten the US. It was founded by Quincey Morris, and gained a reputation after he captured and sealed away ‘The Headless Horseman.’ After Quincey’s death assisting Abraham Van Hellsing in capturing Dracula, his son, James Morris, took over the company.
Inspired by the the Hellsing Organization’s idea of using Count Dracula (Alucard) as their own personal weapon, James decides to unseal the monster his father had captured for the same purpose. He coins the name ‘Bishop,’ which the horseman uses from then on.
The present-day head of Morris Co is Elizabeth Morris, the granddaughter of Quincey Morris. The organization works closely with the CIA, and receives large sums of money from the government.
Elizabeth Morris:
As stated before, Elizabeth Morris is the head of Morris Co as Quincey Morris’s ancestor. She uses a regenerator, as well as carries silver throwing knives and a gun with silver bullets on her person for protection.
Unlike Integra, she keeps a much more hospitable and ‘professional’ attitude, dealing with things with a calm demeanor. However, this nice demeanor is simply just courtesy. She cares very little about the civilians she is supposedly trying to protect, but rather cares most about “getting the job done.” She is willing to put her men and civilians lives in danger for the sake of protecting Morris Co’s reputation and continue receiving government funding.
To put in simple terms: Integra seems harsh, but she genuinely wants to protect humanity, and cares for those who work under her. Elizabeth, on the other hand, seems friendly and hospitable actually only cares for profit, and she sees the people who work under her as mere pawns to serve her interests.
Bishop:
Bishop is Morris Co’s ‘Trump Card,’ a willpower vampire that once roamed the west under the title of ‘The Headless Horseman.’ (More notes on how that works in the pic)
Bishop’s backstory follows a similar story to the story of the Headless Horseman, an American Revolutionary War soldier gets his head blown off by a canon in the battlefield. However, all the blood flows to him and he becomes a Willpower Vampire, and his head regenerates ‘wrong’ (like Seras’s arm). He spends many years wandering around the US as an undead legend before being defeated by Quincey Morris. He is sealed away in a locked coffin for many years before James Morris unsealed him. After his release, he takes a slightly different form to better ‘blend in’ with the humans he lives with.
He comes off as a “strong silent type” at a first glance, though over time it becomes more apparent he is under an unspoken ‘do not speak unless spoken too’ rule. This becomes confusing for him when members of Hellsing talk to him semi-casually, or when he sees Seras and Alucard talk to Integra casually.
When he does speak, he talks with a heavy southern accent, uses a lot of contractions/slangs, a kind of opposite way of Alucard’s sort of regal way of talking.
Also, unlike Alucard, he isn’t one to push buttons, and l will back down if Elizabeth (or later Integra) shows any sign of hostility or irritation because his relationship with humans is much more rocky. He will still keep his ‘tough guy’ front by acting like he doesn’t care. For example he’s likely to shrug something off and go “alrighty then” instead of argue his point.
Elizabeth and Bishop don’t have any sort of friendliness between them the way the members of Hellsing do, nor does Bishop really see any honor in what they do because he can see past her friendly front.
He is also much more likely to take bullets for/protect humans, because he sees it as his responsibility to do so. He sees humans in a similar way a farmer sees his livestock, a way that is still ‘below him’ but also has a bit of respect and care to it.
In the same allegory as Alucard = Guarddog, Bishop = sheepdog.

Do you have a favorite fanfiction of all time?
I do, actually! It might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve reread it so many times and I always enjoy it! The fic in question is a crossover between Persona 3 and High School DxD, called A Demon Among Devils. It’s pretty standard fare as far as crossovers for Persona 3 go, where Minato is essentially isekai’d to the world of HSDxD after Elizabeth finds a way to free him from the Great Seal. I’ve never actually seen any content for HSDxD outside of this fic, and that might be exactly why I like it so much, haha.
Tumblr media
While the premise of the crossover is pretty standard, I think where this fic excels is the execution! There is a lot of character development to go around and the relationships feel like they develop reasonably naturally. Minato being overpowered is a given, because he’s already completed his journey, but they find interesting ways to have his powers interact with the world, because having archangels and archdemons living in his mind really throws a wrench into a lot of things in HSDxD. Not to mention, the worldbuilding is impeccable! I’ve never actually interacted with HSDxD in any capacity but the interactions in this fic of heaven and hell and the church and knightly orders that work for the church are fascinating.
This is, in my opinion, the closest to how I think Minato’s character is. He’s tired, he really doesn’t want to interfere with things that shouldn’t concern him given that his journey is over and he just wants to relax, but he’s a good person inevitably drawn into conflict, only to find that the meaningful relationships he creates in the heat of conflict are what motivate him to keep living.
As far as crossovers go, it’s the gold standard to me. Good character studies, good world building, readable without too much knowledge in either franchise, and very entertaining. And minimal romance to the point that I think it is ignorable :)

my au where shinji and minako live and are happy
after some time, the kirijou group developed medications to help with the side effects of the persona suppressants so shinjiro takes them. they help but he still struggles with managing his body temp so he's always wearing long sleeves. he cut his hair so that it's less messy and doesn't get in his way while cooking. and shinji attends culinary school but initially wanted to start working because he (still) thinks he can learn everything about cooking from the internet. but mitsuru insisted he get some kind of post-graduate certificate and he obliged since she was the one who urged for new meds to be developed for him.
following graduation, minako fell into a coma, much like shinji did. in the meantime theo w/ the help of elizabeth managed to seal nyx without sacrificing minako's life. (idk the exact details but there's lots of good fics that play with that concept). and she wakes up from her 1.5 year coma. shinji never gave up on her, just like how she never gave up on him. tbh i don't know what'd she major in but minako's taking a gap year to make up for lost time. and she spends much of her time spending it with sees and her old classmates, and traveling (w/ shinji by her side of course)

You have a version of the Captain AU where Riku's a Wild Card right? Consider; Koromaru is his Velvet Attendant
I DO YES! And I absolutely ADORE THIS IDEA HELLO??
So the Wildcard AU is a kind of what if Joker accepts Yaldaboth's deal and then Riku is kinda like fuck this imma dip and kill this god dude myself. Originally I was gonna have Elizabeth come back and act as his attendant (the Velvet Room has been sealed up/occupied by Yaldy Dabby Doo) but I really like the idea of Koromaru being the attendant?!!
Like I'm thinking maybe they could both do it so Koro helps out with Elizabeth's fusions by like biting the cards or something idk 💀
But I really like this idea and it slots in really nice to the AU!!!
