hi hey hello! your tags on that one post were the first I've heard of it so I'm asking you, is Pac & Mike growing up in an orphanage canon? do you happen to have a source? or if not at least remember roughly when that was said? (<- miraheze wiki editor who loves adding citations to things)

As far as their QSMP canon goes, it's unclear, but in past stories it's definitely been mentioned!

In Fuga Impossivel 2, they canonized it as part of their backstories. Pac and Mike grew up in an orphanage, which is where they first met. Pac helped Mike deal with a bully, who stole his glasses, and helped tape them back up when the bully snapped them. They've been inseparable ever since, especially after the orphanage shut down. Evidently, that's why they first started stealing things, so they could donate the money to other orphanages.

I'm not a Portuguese fans, but I picked the brain of a lot of other Tazercraft fans when I first started watching their content. You can find the videos of their Fuga Impossivel 2 videos on their YouTube page.

no I feel you so much with the AU thing. ships I like becoming popular is always a double-edged sword to me because on one hand yayy more content in the ao3 tag! but on the other hand Curse Of One Million OOC AUs and it's like. Okay. people can do what they want. whatever. but also like. does their canon dynamic and history and everything not fascinate you. why are you turning them into cookie cutter yaoi. who are these characters. yk

(ofc there are exceptions to this and I've seen and read good AUs too! but they're rare in comparison sadly)

yeahhh it's just really tiring when at the end of the day it's not what i want, even if others are having fun. honestly that's why i've been writing so much spiderbit stuff like i love fluff i love characters going to sleep, sleep soup and like. idk some other s word are my signatures in fics but also bc there's so little in-canon spiderbit stuff and i want there to be more. ive written like five reunion fics bc ive only seen like two other people do them! i'm writing a million specific era ones bc i love those moments so much and i wish there was more fanworks about them, which i guess is how fandom always works (you get so annoyed with a hole in the fandom that you have to fill it) but it's like i have a life i can't be doing all this!!!! but yeah back to your original point it's just unfortunate bc it feels like people care more about inserting the characters into whatever aus they want to make regardless of the fit and they don't really engage with canon at all. like the amount of qsmp fans who do not actually like. watch any streams or videos is actually insane i'm like fuck no wonder no one can write dialogue

I'd love to hear the tragic character felps thoughts!

okay echo + anyone else reading this bear with me because i have lots to say and i'm not sure i can get it all down properly. it's worth mentioning my fic "it's not a fashion statement, it's a deathwish" is pretty much directly what i have headcanoned as felps' backstory. but for more detail and breaking things down:

firstly in canon while i think it's accurate to call felps not an active player, he was an active character in the plot. the reason he got kidnapped had a whole lead up to it \o/ one vod's worth (three videos on youtube), but still! he was heavily in character the entire time (even turning his crashing into a character moment--making his character paranoid that he was being watched)

that being said: felps doesn't log in as much. during the vod i mentioned earlier he said his gap was because he was in a mini-coma. i think he sleeps a lot! i've headcanoned him with a fatigue disorder of some kind, and the one month on ice just made it worse. i extrapolated on this idea and decided he'd have difficulty sometimes understanding what was dream and what was reality (i think i got this from narcolepsy? i haven't looked at it in a while but some of the symptoms of that was hallucinations and sleep paralysis I think).

this disconnect from reality was somewhat confirmed in his prison stream \o/ although since i can't pull up the exact quote/timestamp right now don't believe me too much

okay going under the cut now:

one of the "i like dropping that i think felps is a very tragic character" moments i mentioned was if him and pac actually got together, he'd have trouble believing it was real and not a dream. this is extremely self indulgent on the felpac side of things and i'll go back to just felps specifically but: presumably felps has been pining after pac for eight years! i think they're a mess of missed opportunities and both of them being too afraid to try and start anything, so if anything did happen it might not feel real

(the other tragedy is that nothing happens. and he stays pining forever)

back to felps specifically. in my backstory for him i have that he was killed and suddenly revived as a saint in a futuristic (for him) version of his town. this is incredibly alienating for him. he's very very lonely, and confused, and out of place and it's the building blocks for his and cellbit's friendship (as cellbit is also lonely, confused, and out of place). i've had some people mention recently that felps feels out of touch with reality in "it's not a fashion statement" and i'm glad because that was the intention!

first of all, he was dead for many years. second of all, everything is new and different. third of all, he's a saint. it's hard to process

regarding what we specifically see in canon: the "felps has a fatigue disorder" thing was a way to explain why he's away so much. but also… he's a saint. and in the prison stream he leant hard into that. there was no facecam or chat that entire stream. it felt really weird to me because he always has a facecam--or at the very least chat (he went live later on not for qsmp stuff with both). to me it felt like a way to showcase his disconnect from reality and kind of acceptance of his sainthood?

(another post before when i was talking about felps stuff i mentioned a lot of people praying to him is fucking him up a little--i think the more he gets prayed to and accepted as a saint the harder it is for him to grasp onto reality. saints aren't supposed to be alive, after all)

felps has had other occasions of disconnect from reality--he was one of the people to happily play into bad's denial when the eggs were missing. because one of felps' coping mechanisms is actually denial \o/ he doesn't go as full into it as bad, but you see him in other scenarios leaning onto denial. (after the one month on ice + in the prison stream learning how long he was gone for you can see him insisting he was only gone for a day or a few days and getting shocked/upset by the idea he was gone for a month/multiple months)

with felps logging on less, and having enough pieces in canon to explain away why (either he gets lost in his square, or he falls asleep) i think you can do a lot with the idea that sainthood is kind of claiming him and so he's not able to be present in reality anymore. which kind of freaks him out a bit. i said he was lonely in my backstory, and this kind of amplifies that. everyone's been through so much without him. he can't stop falling asleep and not waking up

anyway my final note of rambled felps characterisation is that he's also quite a paranoid character but he's not as loud about it as cellbit is. this is very messy but it's hard to get all my thoughts down about this. hope you enjoyed \o/

i'm really tired of most cc crit, it feels very entitled a lot of the time and i just find it frustrating. ccs don't owe you content, especially not content tailor-made to your individual liking. like if you don't like someone's content just watch someone else, it's not that hard

man I really don't know how I didn't notice Not!Sasha on my first listen through. like I could tell something was off but I didn't clock that she'd been replaced. listening to this again her dialogue is SO OFF. the way she "yes, and"s everything. every single time it's her turn to talk she starts with "yes" and it all sounds so. clinical. it's so obvious in hindsight. I miss real Sasha already :(

okay \o/ I’ll put it under a cut so anyone reading this post can skip it if they don’t want maybe-spoilers

i imagine the city they live in now used to be a small town when felps first lived there. it’s been… a long time lol. due to this the population was also pretty small, and it was a fairly close knit community.

Felps mentions he doesn’t have a family because he’s never had a family. for a long time he pretty much survived exclusively through stealing. and then he was given a job and stole a lot less—but still, there’s only so much his boss can afford to pay him. felps is pretty likeable and friendly and a lot of the town does actually know he’s stealing (he was a young kid without a family. he wasn’t surviving any other way) but he doesn’t take much at a time and spreads it out a lot so they’re pretty much content to ignore it. but it’s like an open secret because no one actually knows who else knows and is okay with it (they’re also kinda practical about it—a lot of people don’t want to signal to him that they’re okay because they’re worried he’ll start taking too much and it’ll become a problem, etc)

the way he dies is because the wrong person catches him and… essentially like. shoots him dead in the street lol. the townsfolk are really upset about this because they liked him a lot! so they turn him into a saint a little in the same people in mythology can be turned into constellations when they’re wronged. they don’t write down why he’s a saint though because it’s not for “proper reasons” and eventually the knowledge just gets lost

this is a bit sillier and mostly just to fill a plot hole—but the reason he’s revived is because bad has to separate from cellbit but wants him to still have a friend so he revives felps because he’s 1) in the same city 2) around the same age and 3) demon revival magic works funky on saints and this is effectively what gives him his inability to die. this is because bad didn’t want cellbit to kill him

He didn’t really nudge them together or anything he just kind of plopped felps back on earth and figured if it worked out, great! and it did work out \o/ (some of this might come up in the qsmp section but it depends)

39. has the qsmp made you get into any streamers that speak your own language that you weren't very interested in before? i always liked bad but i didn't watch him much; now i watch him almost daily at least for a bit and i absolutely adore him and his rp style. also i couldn't have imagined i'd be watching fitmc parent an egg or flirt with pac but here we are. i was interested in pretty much all of the spanlang streamers before this so no one was that new to me really.

sadly no yiddish or hebrew speaking qsmp members but i don't actually know any hebrew lang streamers and if there's a single yiddish one out there i will be shocked
