I regret to inform you that Discord's new Terms of Service includes an arbitration clause. You can find it here https://discord.com/terms/#16. This clause includes an opt-out, which I have transcribed here:

You can decline this agreement to arbitrate by emailing an opt-out notice to [email protected] within 30 days of April 15, 2024 or when you first register your Discord account, whichever is later; otherwise, you shall be bound to arbitrate disputes in accordance with the terms of these paragraphs. If you opt out of these arbitration provisions, Discord also will not be bound by them.

These clauses are underhanded ways that corporations seek to deprive you of your right to participate in class-action lawsuits and your right to a jury trial. (This does only apply to us users ,other people still spread the word though )

UK babes there's another ceasefire vote happening on Wednesday 21st Feb

Everyone should be emailing their MP pushing for them to vote for a ceasefire

Go here for your MPs details and a email template. We need to be forcing their hands about this. Email them every minute if you have to. Make them hear you.

Also, if you can get to parliament on Wednesday between 11:30-4pm, Palestine Solidarity Campaign will be lobbying MPs as they go to vote. You dont need to be an expert, just register to join them here. They'll tell you everything you need to know.

In case the esim process confuses you or you aren't able to buy them yourself for any other reason, crips for esims for Gaza is collecting donations, they've almost met their goal of $150,000 raised. Donating allows them to buy esims in bulk which allows them to obtain more than individuals would be able to. I just donated and it was super easy as you can use paypal.

I'm doing a fundraiser where if you donate a minimum of RM10/USD2, you get a free portrait piece!

As you probably know, there is a genocide happening in Gaza. People murdered, starved, and put in inhumane conditions. Homes leveled and families torn apart - some even having entire generations wiped out.

There are many charities that are currently asking for donations. The organisation that your funds will be going to is called ConnectingGaza (or Connecting Humanity). Founded by @mirna_elhelbawi , it aims to get e-sims to people stranded in Gaza with no way of connecting with the outside world.

This gives them a few days of internet access in order to check in with loved ones who they might not have contacted for weeks on end.

As a student myself I worry that I cannot donate an amount that is significant in any way. So I hope that with your help, we can raise funds together!

What do you get?

If you donate a minimum of RM10/USD2 you get free art! This is totally optional, but if you would like something drawn, just fill up the "Free Art" section after donating.

Learning from my previous attempt at something like this, the art may take a minute to reach you (unfortunately, I have school, among other things, sigh). But! I will contact you first saying that I have received your order as proof.

This list highlights families who’re trying to evacuate Gaza, but which aren’t getting enough attention. Please donate if you can—and whether or not you can, spread this to as many people as possible. The delay between this second and the next could make a difference in whether a family gets to live or not.
