I didn’t even know she was gone
a friend i first met through LiveJournal (as Blueashke), and continued to talk with, commiserate with, and laugh with on Twitter and Facebook...
and was a fellow writer with on AO3
died at the beginning of June.
i knew i hadnt heard from her lately, but we had the kind of friendship that would go a month or three without a word and then talk non-stop for weeks...
She went to EarpExpo and apparently they had NO Covid protections or policies in place and she caught it... she tested positive on May 0th or so, and was dead on June 3rd.
i went to tell her about something she would have been interested in and... her wall was full of “i miss you”...
i didnt worry at first because i knew she had moved recently....
She’s dead, she’s gone, and i am only finding out now because i wanted to tell her about something i knew she would love....
I hope they have a damn good Karaoke bar, and a hell of a party wherever you are...

Do you go to fan conventions? If yes which ones have your gone to or will go to? If not which would you want to go to? Also if not, is it a money thing, a crowd thing, what puts you off not going? I am just looking for different opinions on it.
I haven't been to one! Mainly because a lot of the ones that I would be interested in are never that close...you never see cons happening in the Northeast of the US which I don't know why that is but the ones that happen in the US are in such random areas lol. And it's a mix of money because they're so damn expensive when you add up the actual con and then travel and hotel on top of it and then also...#anxiety and just the nervous aspect of meeting some of my faves! I mean...I think I would be able to do it if I actually had the opportunity.
Back in the day when Pretty Little Liars was on, I loved Keegan Allen who was an actor on the show and I ended up seeing him in a broadway play and I also met him at a book signing and he was one of my favorites and I was able to meet him even though I was so nervous lol so I think if there was a Wynonna Earp con in my area for example, I might try to do it but it would also depend on pricing because everything is just so expensive in general these days. But honestly when you really think about it, cons are a total rip off which is a shame because it should just be an all around great experience and things should be priced accordingly but they're usually not.
And I think as long as I had someone to go with that I was close to or that I knew, the crowd thing wouldn't bother me too much. It would probably be a lot and overwhelming at times but I would probably just focus on the certain things I wanted to do and try not to do too much.

At Earp Expo, at one panel the cast was asked by an anonymous Earper how to spice up their love life. Kat said "Put all the rooms in your house in a hat and randomly pick one. Do it in that room." Can you write a prompt based on that? Wayhaught eventually does it in all the rooms using this idea.

or that she gets this idea bc Wynonna joked that the pair "did it in every room"
anyways one day when everyone was out of the house besides Wayhaught
Waverly goes up to Nicole and suggests that they: "put all the rooms in a hat and randomly pick one, then do it in that room."
Nicole looks at Waverly for a moment, thinks about it, and agrees
bc lbr that's a pretty good idea and was surprised that they didn't think about it earlier
so Nicole gets her stenton as Waverly writes all the rooms done
they both get super excited and can't wait to pull out the room
after they get everything set up and mix up the rooms in the hat
they pick out the room and they were kinda surprised bc they realized they had never done it in the room before
somehow they picked something random the home office or the laundry room
which you would think they had done it before but they did not
so without missing a heartbeat, Waverly pulls Nicole to that room
and they start taking off each other's clothes
before they knew it they were in that room, already on the floor
lbr they get pretty rough and they spend hours, soon day turn to night
finally, when they are done, they were both covered in marks and scratches
they just spend time on the floor giggling and smiling, they realized how much fun they had and they were glad that Waverly had the idea
Bonus: Wynonna comes home and hears the pair, and in the most Wynonna way she interrupts them
which cause Wayhaught to be mad but they were used to this

The hate for Dom is so random... Maybe it's a generation gap, but no way you're all that much older than me, but in most LGBT+ circles it's a common icebreaking thing to do to ask people to tell pronouns if they're comfortable with it and Earp Expo etc. are filled with queer people who would most probably appreciate it. Going vegan personally is also not the worst thing for a character to do... Kat and Mel's characters weren't forced into it either, it was just Dom's own
Just say you dislike them for the Palestine support and go, because 30,000 dead on US taxpayer dollars isn't enough apparently; as a community we need to be more open to different types of people
Hate is a strong word I'd probably say more dislike than anything else

Are you following any of the Wynonna Earp cons happening as you did the Marina con (I know it wasn't exactly called that LOL)?
Hahaha it might as well have been 😉 but not as closely, no! I have seen some stuff here and there and I still follow and talk to some Earpers on Twitter so I see some things there! I know a bunch of people are going to Earp Expo this weekend though so that should be fun. It’s sad that Dom has kinda isolated themselves and is only doing the one in August but I’m looking forward to that one and seeing them reunite with Kat and Mel. It seems like Kat and Mel are really close now too which is nice…and Kat deserves everything good for all she continues to do for the fans. It’s incredible how many of these cons she’s done and how many fans she’s interacted with. She’s the best!
