Choosing the right studio for photo shooting
Photography is an art. It is rightly said that "A picture speaks a thousand words". An image makes a potential impact on the human mind. Thus, the aesthetics of the photo or the video are important to make an impression on the audiences. Every element of the photograph is responsible to attract the audience and to communicate the objective behind it. Thus, it is very crucial to choose the appropriate place, lights, and camera for the photo-shoot. The subject gets clear to the audience when elaborated with meticulous planning and preparation of the photo-shoot.
Right studio for photo shooting comes as a no brainer when you want to take the best shots. The impeccable balance of correct lighting, the use of standard cameras and the picture-perfect backdrops can make your brand stand out. Professional photographers make your dream come true of capturing moments for a lifetime with their artistic photography. Thus, choosing the right studio for photo or video shooting becomes an imperative doable if you head towards professional photography. Experienced photographers know that one size doesn’t suit all. They custom make the photo studio according to the needs of the customer.
Choosing a studio for your portfolio or that urgent video presentation could be a task. But it should be done with utmost care. Remember there are many aspects to choosing the right studio for photography. 1. The studio personnel should first understand your exact need for photographs. And should present you with various options for lighting, positioning, transitioning in case of videos and most importantly should handhold you with the selection of suitable backdrop. 2. The photo studio should be able to offer you an exact backdrop from the myriad list available with them and should be in a position to explain to you the reason behind the choice. If you aren’t satisfied, you shouldn’t invest in the same. 3. The third important factor to narrow down on the photo studio is the pricing. While canvas back-drops could be little easier on pockets, the muslin backdrops could be quite expensive. Be well informed about the prices. Browsing the internet could help a big way.

Humans are weird: Designed for Fear
Alien: This is a horror game for humans?
Alien 2: That is what the description said.
Alien: Alright, let’s see what those flesh apes are afraid of.
Alien: Computer, activate program “Deloris Manor”.
Computer: Command understood; simulation beginning.
*3D projections forms around the alien users much like a Holo deck from Star Trek.*e
*Both alien friends now find themselves transported to a dark hallway filled with fog stretching off into the horizon*
Alien: A run down building with fog? How quaint. *Chuckle*
Alien 2: *Tries to wave away fog but it just spills back in; so eventually gives up.*
Alien: So all we need to do is escape the house and we-
*silence*
Alien: And we what?
*More silence*
Alien: *Turns around* And we wha-
*Sees alien 2 looking down the hallway*
Alien: What are you looking at?
Alien 2: *Points down hallway* Something ran across the hall and went into one of the rooms.
Alien: What was it?
Alien 2: No idea.
Alien: *Walks over to door Alien 2 pointed to.* Let’s see then. *Reaches for doorknob*
Alien 2: Are you mad?
Alien: *Laughs* It’s just a game; how bad could it be?
*Opens door and sees a brick wall behind the door.*
Alien: *Turns to alien 2* You sure it was this door? *Taps wall to confirm it is solid.*
Alien 2: I swear it ran through that door.
Alien: *Looks at brick wall again and closes door*
*Shadowy figure appears behind door in hallway as it closes*
*Both aliens jump back in surprise*
*Shadowy figure looks at both of them, but says nothing*
Alien 2: Why isn’t it moving?
Alien: *Regaining composure* Maybe it’s broken.
*Alien moves to touch figure when it turns to look directly at him*
Shadowy Figure: I’m looking forward to using your flesh as a skin suit.
Alien 2: *Backs away* What the frak?!
Alien: *Nervous laughter* Relax, it’s just a line.
Shadowy Figure: Keep telling yourself that Mil’rog.
*Aliens look at figure in silence and now both back away*
Alien 2: How did it know your name?
Shadowy Figure: I know yours as well Jendu.
Alien: How does it know yours?
Shadowy Figure: *laughs in several voices at once* The moment you plugged me in I learned so much about you.
Alien: *Calms down a degree* It’s an AI program. *Laughs nervously at Alien 2*
Shadowy Figure: No…..I am so much more.
Shadowy Figure: *Snaps fingers*
*Another door opposite Alien flings itself open and a dozen deformed arms extend out and grab hold of Alien*
*Alien begins struggling to get free as the arms begin pulling them back into the room.*
*Last thing Alien 2 sees of their friend is their desperate look of fear at them before the door slams shut behind them.*
Shadowy Figure: *Turns to Alien 2 and whispers* Run.

Weren't You Aware, Angelfish?
Tumblr media
Characters: Yandere!Azul x GN! Reader
Summary: You think it's a game, but it's much more than that…
Word Count: 3k
Author's Notes: A little background on this one; I actually really got into the Octavinelle Trio when the Little Mermaid event (which ran during third week of May in 2023) was going on following the live action film being released in theaters. At the time, I was also about midway through the "Merchant of the Depths" and was laughing at myself for the irony of participating in an event that matched the story I was reading. And I even received Azul’s SSR dorm card in the mirror summoning as well.
Either way, I had come across a few head cannons and short stories of if the characters were actually aware of themselves being in a game and thought I'd take my own spin on it with Azul (I know there's a lot of these ones for this character - but you have to admit, the guy's got style).
Warnings: Obsession/manipulative behaviors, some bullying elements, self-aware
***This one is a softer Yandere than what I've done recently***
***
"Oh, hey guys."
Azul blinked in surprise as a pair of (e/c) eyes peered out at him and the twins from under strands of (h/c).
It was the Ramshackle dorm prefect - and yet it wasn't.
Azul knew that he, among many others, were mere characters in a game called "Twisted Wonderland" - a battle simulation game that followed the stories of seven famous villains from a strange land called "Disney." The main character of the game was a character by the name of "Yuu," but each player had selected to choose a different name for their character depending upon their preferences and personalities - though Azul could never be certain if it was their real name or not.
This one just happened to go by the name (Y/C).
(Y/C) had appeared before them around a month ago, Azul had remembered a droning voice on speakers as the player before them shifted on a seat of metal, thier eyes looking towards the screen then away again before they closed the game. The other characters had been confused by it - usually a player would stay for a bit and work on the stories or do lessons when they first started. (Y/C), however, was shifty and nervous - they reminded Azul of a mouse that scuttled across the floors of the Ramshackle dorm, constantly stopping and looking around before continuing on its way.
However, as things progressed, Azul quickly learned that (Y/C) was indeed a diligent player.
He would hear them laugh at Ace and Deuce’s antics, mumble under their breath when they knew something was going to happen, and gap at each of the overblots as they happened. Azul quickly became interested in the player, moving to the front scenes as his turn to take the spotlight appeared. As they worked through his story, he found them to be… well, quite like him. They were crafty and cunning, all smiles and false confidence - a show they put on when they weren't alone. People fell for their charms like prey to an angular fish, their bright light luring them in until they snapped them up as per their job required. However, they struck good bargains with them - something that Azul had… never invested in.
Now, there was a special event that he and the tweels would be a part of - a special event for a revised film inspired by the life of the Great Sea Witch.
Azul looked on as (Y/C) shifted through the cards in thier possession, having selected Floyd first. They had received his dorm card about two weeks prior to the event, their excitement to raise its stats apparent in the forefront of thier mind. They filled the class, selecting Jade’s ceremonial robes card as well as Azul’s ceremonial robes card along with Cater and Rook's dorm uniform cards before heading into the class with Floyd with Azul watching on in curiosity.
"Something on your mind, Azul?" Jade asked him from his doorway, "You seemed to be watching our magicless prefect a bit more than normal."
Azul regarded his vicewarden with an arched brow, "Jade, I have no idea what you are talking about."
Jade smiled, his teeth peering out from behind his lips, “Azul, forgive me, but if I didn’t know any better… I’d say you were jealous.”
“Jealous?” Azul scoffed with a wave of his hand, “Who said anything of the sort?”
Jade crossed an arm around his middle as his other arm rested on top, his forefinger and thumb stroking his chin in thought, “Not that it makes any difference, but I’ve noticed you’ve been keeping quite a close eye on our player - quite the character, are they not?”
Azul shrugged, “I suppose so…”
“I bet you haven’t given a thought to knowing them outside of the game, though.”
Azul turned at the comment, his sea green eyes glowing with mischief as a tell-tale smile formed across his lips, “My dear Jade, have you and Floyd been up to something?”
Jade smiled in agreement, “Of course we have… would you like to hear?”
“I would indeed. Tell me what you know.”
Jade uncrossed his arms and folded his hands into his pockets, “Our player has only been playing for about a month, as you know well - and has obviously cleared three books of our game within that time frame. They like a good gamble here and there, but they understand when there’s a time for fun and a time for work - something you should learn in my opinion.”
“Yes, yes,” Azul waved his hand, “Whom is their current favorite?”
“It varies from day to day - though (Y/C)’s profile indicates that it is currently Malleus Draconia,” Jade answered, “However, based on their world… they do have a fascination for sea creatures.”
Azul frowned, “Their world?”
Jade nodded, “Every so often we’re given a glimpse of the player’s real world - their reality. (Y/C) currently lives with an ailing father and a mother that is trying to hold everything together. They’re a full time student in what they call ‘high school’ and works at a family restaurant part time as a waitress. They like spending time on social media, reading when not with us, and does a bit of sewing from my understanding.”
Azul rubbed his chin in thought, “Do they… play other games?”
“Several - (Y/C) has a very high social media presence and has been gaining followers over the course of several years, speciallizing in strategic battle games and, apparently, even romance games,” Jade answered, “However… (Y/C)’s very shy and keeps to themselves quite a bit. From my understanding, they’re not exactly… well-liked by the other students at the school they attend. (Y/C) often eats alone and prefers the company of fictional characters or those online to those in their world.”
“Not well-liked? (Y/C)’s well-liked here!” Azul answered in confusion.
“Perhaps, but we all eventually become attached to our player - they’re the star of their own story here, after all,” Jade agreed, “And (Y/C)’s practically the same in their world - kind, supporting, caring… but is an outcast.”
“Care to explain why?”
Jade shakes his head, “I wish I could tell you, Azul - but even I am not certain why that is.”
Azul squeezed his lips in thought before turning to Jade, “Is there a way we can dig into more about our player?”
“There might be something within the profile, but a chance at looking into the outside world? That is a one in a million chance of happening. I was given a glance when (Y/C) was using me for a battle - but it was very short. The rest of the information I gathered was from other characters - specifically Cater who has been with them the longest. You know how he will speak for a chance at gaining more followers.”
Azul chuckled with a smile, “Excellent work, Jade. For the time being, I’d like to find out as much as you can about our player - Floyd, if he’s in the mood, will probably want to know more about ‘shrimpy’ as well, get him in on the search too. Though, I suppose we can only do what we can for right now…”
***
In the days that followed, (Y/C) was consistently in the Octorio’s presence. As they met each requirement the Octavinelle Training Camp event gave them, (Y/C) beat every battle they were given and took in the rewards with vigor; their method was simple - they finished all of Floyd’s tasks before closing the game, reopening it the following day with fresh eyes and ready for the challenges that awaited them and selected Jade as their next partner. Azul watched from the sidelines as each task was completed and battle won; it was strange to hear how (Y/C) would always keep the trio together, Azul stuck in between the tweels as they switched spots. However - Azul couldn’t be completely disappointed in them; after all, (Y/C) did invite him to attend each lesson with them and the tweels.
So why was it so hard for him to not feel this… jealous anger that was slowly rising with him? It wasn't like they were anything interesting - the only thing they had in common, maybe, was the fact that (Y/C) was business-minded - even for a high schooler.
Azul pinched the bridge of his nose as cards of various characters floated across the screen; Floyd... Vil... Epel... Malleus... Trey... All of them appeared across the screen over and over like turbulant waves on the shorelines - yet none of them were of him. (Y/C) flipped through the cards again, their (e/c) eyes hard with determination.
"One last roll," Azul heard them say, "I have enough for a chance encounter - please let it be one I don't have."
The music played as the dark mirror appeared again, "Bearer of dark powers, I call thee forth!"
Azul could practically feel (Y/C) vibrating with anticipation as clacks echoed in the small area that was their bedroom. Jade... Floyd... Vil... Sebek... Idia... Malleus... Lilia... Rook...
"You're so lucky to have met a compassionate person like me..."
Azul's voice stuck in his throat as (Y/C) squealed in delight, "AZUL! Oh my GOD! I have your CARD!"
And indeed they had gotten it - Azul's SSR dorm card flashed across the screen with the octomer perched in a leather chair, Jade and Floyd just behind him with the sea witch's familiar mirror in the background. Azul was vibrating with excitement - at long last, he was now in the spotlight, appearing before (Y/C) in his finely dressed dorm uniform. The octomer was beside himself with excitement as (Y/C) clicked back on the homescreen, scrolling through their cards and smiling as they found the newest addition.
"Azul..." they whispered so softly, "I'm so excited... I wasn't expecting this... not in the slightest. I hope that I don't disappoint - I'll get this leveled up and we'll work together, you and me."
'You could never disappoint me, angelfish,' Azul wanted to say as he felt something pull him to the front of the screen. He now stood in Ramshackle Dorm, front and center as the eyes of (Y/C) looked upon him, thier features brightening.
"Thank you so much, Azul," they grinned, a look of sheer awe and excitement taking root across their face, "I'm so glad to add you to the team."
***
The event ended far too quickly for Azul's liking, meaning that he could no longer work with his player one-on-one - at least until the next training camp. For now, Azul was content to use his days watching his player as he peered into their normal everyday life.
Jade had not been lying when he told Azul about (Y/C)’s busy schedule - they awoke every morning at six on the nose, dressed and readied themselves for school - helping their mom with a few simple chores before heading out the door. (Y/C) was an intriguing student, using common sense to answer their professors’ questions and asking more in return - though Azul could hear snickering in the background and soft insults that were directed at his player. (Y/C) sat alone at lunch, the game open in front of them as they nibbled on a sandwich - keeping thier promise to level up Azul's card as they doodled in the notebook beside them. A few times, they would have a set of headphones in and would hum along with the music that would come through the speakers - making Azul strain to hear them. After school, (Y/C) would head over to one of the local restaraunts, changing into their work uniform and began the grunging job of serving guests. Azul listened as the clientel would call them over - some pleasant, others not so much; though he was surprised by (Y/C) ways of handling them, giving their best award-winning smile and working their way into their hearts to the point that they couldn't take it or dropped the subject entirely.
Day in and day out, Azul was there and listened to everything everyone told them; week after week, he saw the light slowly begin to fade from their eyes...
And by the time summer had come, (Y/C) was struggling - mentally and emotionally. Gone was the happy-go-lucky teen that Azul had slowly become attatched to, in their place was a saddened and heavy-burdened individual that sought the comfort of loniness - fictional characters were their only friends now.
One night, (Y/C) perched on their bed after a particularly rough day at work. Azul had seen one of the customers - another student that was prone to bullying (Y/C) in class - trip them while they were carrying a pot of hot soup to bring to the salad bar; regardless if it was intentional or unintentional, (Y/C) could have been seriously injured - burned from how hot the liquid was. Then, (Y/C)’s boss degraded them - telling them that if they weren't so stupid and watched where they were going, none of this would've happened; even though it was clearly not (Y/C)’s fault. When they got home, (Y/C)’s mother had to rush their father off to the hospital - something about his ailment suddenly turning for the worse and making (Y/C) now worried sick about their father's health - no longer caring about the injury they sustained and the pain they felt within.
(Y/C) tapped the screen of the game, opening up and laying their phone against a box that sat on the bedside table, watching as Azul greeted them in his normal fashion.
"Helping people is what I live for. As housewarden, I will do everything to support my students," Azul smiled in greeting.
"I wish the same could be said for me," (Y/C) sighed, laying their head against the pillow as the music of the Mostro Lounge filled the background of the bedroom.
"Hm? And why do you think I wouldn't support you, angelfish?"
(Y/C) turned to look at their phone as Azul smiled. They rubbed thier face for a moment before muttering, "I must be more tired than I thought. I thought you just said something."
"I did, angelfish," Azul's voice came loud and clear as (Y/C)s' eyes widened, "I said, 'Why do you think I wouldn't support you?'"
(Y/C) blinked, "Y-you... talked. You can talk?"
"Of course I can talk," Azul answered, resting his hands on his hips in disappointment, "What makes you think that I wouldn't? We've talked before, after all."
"Y-yes... but that was scripted," (Y/C) rubbed their face again, "I must be dreaming - just some fantastical thing because of the stress and anger I've been experiencing lately."
"(Y/N), come now, you know that's not true."
"H-how do... you know my name?"
"I've been keeping an eye on you for some time, (Y/N)," Azul answered, "I know all about you - what you like and dislike, what your biggest fears and regrets are and what you wish for most in the world. I can offer that, you know."
"Offer what?" (Y/N) rubbed their face then, "Wait a minute... why am I even discussing this with you? You're a character in a game and I live in the real world - there's no way this is happening either - this is just the rambling of a stressed out lonely teenager who gets enjoyment out of playing a game and reading fanfictions."
"I assure you, this is no dream," Azul answered, "And you're not going to get rid of me that easily either."
(Y/N) frowned, "What do you mean? What did you do?"
"Simply enough - I hacked this phone," Azul admitted, "It took a bit to figure out the workings of it, but now you won't be able to do anything unless I give you my permission to do so."
"You... what?!" (Y/N) glared at Azul, "This is my only form of communication! My only way to be someone! I use this for school! Work! Why would you do that?"
"I admire your ability and drive, angelfish, I really do," Azul smiled wickedly, "However - 'real life,' as you call it, is keeping you from me. You were hurt today and have been stepped on over and over like a piece of gum on your school's cemented sidewalks. What I am willing to offer you, in exchange for your undivided attention that is, will allow you complete freedom from the outside world. You will never have to experience that sort of degration and torement again."
"And what about my friends? My family?" (Y/N) askes, "You think I'll sign my name on a contract of yours so willingly?"
"You did the first time around."
"That was scripted!"
"Angelfish," Azul's tone turned dark, "You really have no say in this. I know your family is struggling so I'll modify the contract, only for your sake though. As for your 'friends,' you really have none in that world - I have been with you for the past two months, constantly watching you and, yes, protecting you. You might not see it now, but you will in due time - besides we're the same age, are we not?"
"Close... maybe," (Y/N) admits.
"Then, what's the problem?" Azul folded his arms across his chest, "Sign the contract - and I will give you everything your heart desires."
The screen shifted as a familiar golden hue appeared on the screen.
"Here's the deal, Angelfish," Azul's voice appeared in the background, "In exchange for your undivided attention, I will grant you - and your family - the funds needed to help you both financially and comfort.  You and family will want for nothing and I will provide support you your ailing father. You will belong to me completely, and when such a time arrives that the two of us are old enough, we will be married."
(Y/N) looked over the contract on the screen, biting her lip.
"And you promise I will be able to stay with my family? Still see them when I want to?"
"Yes - it would be improper for the two of us to live together as I will need time to prepare for that event. However, you will not be able to tell anyone about this arrangement - unless you wish to lose your voice in the process."
"N-no thank you."
(Y/N) could practically see Azul's grinning features, "Then, Angelfish mine... sign on the dotted line. Let's embark on this new adventure... together, just you and me."

🔥 Board games? International relations? Either? Both?
I probably don't have a good hot take on board games, I don't play enough! I guess I can say that people often sleep on aesthetics as fundamental to game design - its fine to have a game that is bit wonky, or unbalanced, or samey to some other game, if those elements *feel* right to the story the game is trying to tell. If your game is the kind of game to make the players "feel the story" (which isn't all games, like Splendor is just an engine builder) then they are going to value good simulation as much as factors like balance. You don't need to make every asymmetric element "balanced" or w/e, and you should probably stop trying so hard.
IR, that is so broad, you killing me here!! I'll take that on the object level - I think an international military intervention in Sudan would be a good idea on net (Or would have been months ago at least, maybe too late now). People often learn the wrong lessons from the past - if you invade to like "liberalize Sudan" then its gonna fail, but specific interventions to prevent civilian violence with no opinion on the government beyond that are far less likely to spiral. And yes it will absolutely get messy, and won't fix things forever, but the status quo is very messy, understatement of the century! The world lost its appetite for humanitarian interventions after the Bush years abused that concept into dirt, but we have pivoted too far on that imo.

id be so interested in learning abt ur hlvrai2 idea...
ough ok sorry i’m about to brain dump my unformulated unorganized ideas all over this post (tysm for the ask btw). i don’t expect anyone to read all this, but it’s nice to actually write all the ideas down. WARNING long ass post under cut 👇
so like as i rambled about in this post, essentially the science team is stuck in an endlessly looping simulation that was made as an early test of black mesa’s virtual reality/ai tech. it’s built a lot like a game because that format makes it easier to run tests over and over.
anyways, hlvrai happens, they beat benrey, they go to chuck e cheese. but the party is also a cover for gman to temporarily isolate the science team in a little mini pocket simulation as he tries to fix whatever-the-hell is wrong with the main test one. except he fails.
hlvrai2 starts with gordon waking up on the tram, playing this game to test this cool vr tech for black mesa. except gordon is not excited this time. in fact gordon is freaking out because he remembers everything from the previous loop and he is wondering WHY he’s back here. why isn’t the test over. also he only got to eat 1 slice of pizza at chuck e cheese before everything blacked out so that sucks too.
gordon’s not the only one who remembers the last loop. everyone else who aren’t just random npcs also remember. before it was just tommy, gman, sunkist, and benrey who retained memories of previous loops. tommy and gman because their job is to keep the simulation intact, sunkist because tommy made her like that, and benry because he’s an anomaly (human consciousness and alien program/virus thing melded into one). in benry’s case, the memories are more jumbled and muddled in his head. so things don’t make a lot of sense for them.
anyway my idea is that this new loop that they’re in is even more screwed up than the last one. like the seams are really breaking and shit’s getting through. enemies that never appeared in any iteration before are appearing now. sections of the map have either moved or are missing entirely. there are new places too that don’t exactly look like they belong (bubby opens a closet door to reveal a forest, “what the hell is this narnia shit”). it’s super obvious that their world isn’t “real” and coomer, bubby, and darnold have to come to terms with the fact that they’re ai. although maybe bubby not so much because honestly xe doesn’t really give a shit about having a crisis over it (“I’m already a test tube baby—what difference does it make”). but bubby, like the others, would like to escape these endless loops. so that becomes the team’s main goal: find a way out. oh, and find gman too because he’s been missing ever since the loop restarted and tommy doesn’t know where the hell he is and it’s kind of concerning.
darnold joins the science team because he also remembers the last loop and wow this whole situation is just really messed up i guess i HAVE to go on a epic quest now dang. she takes up the healer role with her potions (not a huge fan of the violence), plus he just tends to fret over others in general. benrey rejoins the science team, which of course leads to tension that has to be worked out. now that benry isn’t coded as the antagonist/final boss anymore, he doesn’t have malicious intentions, but they’re still a little shit. they feels bad about what they did but doesn’t really know how to express it other than riling up gordon. though things get better between gordon and benrey as the adventure progresses and they have to save each other’s asses multiple times. he even says sorry eventually.
sooo i don’t exactly know how they break out yet, but they will stop the loops and escape into the actual main simulation of reality, the one that irl black mesa made to preserve humanity. the science team’s simulation was one of the tests that helped black mesa build the main simulation except nobody thought to stop running that test program—hence why the team’s been looping all this time. but yeah i’m still thinking about how it all ends. and also what the heck i want to do with forzen. i think i want him to be similar to be an ai that a piece of alien virus/coding latched onto. i think the alien virus/code used to be bigger and more intact before irl black mesa began messing with the alien tech, then it got fractured off into pieces that eventually found things in the system to latch onto, which is why forzen’s like “we used to be best friends” to benry. because technically there’s a part of them that used to be part of a bigger thing. idk. i think i want forzen to play a bit of an antagonist role, but not as a really bad one or anything. he’s just misguided. and maybe confused. let’s be real he doesn’t really know what he’s doing.
gman is missing because he’s dealing with his “Employers.” aka the super advanced hivemind ai that helps keep everything running in the background. they think the test simulation isn’t worth having around anymore because it’s becoming more trouble than it’s worth and they think gman isn’t able to handle it, so they’re stepping in. they aren’t the reason the test simulation is breaking down—the deterioration just got their attention. gman’s trying to either convince them to NOT erase it all or just stall them long enough in hopes that the science team figure a way out before the hammer comes down.
i was thinking who the main antagonist WOULD be, but maybe there doesn’t actually need to be one. it’s mostly the science team vs the test simulation. i guess the Employers could be seen as the main antagonist, but they’re just doing what they think is best to keep everything running smoothly.
ok that’s it im going to stop i’ve drained my brain resources. if anyone’s actually read all the way through, wow. thanks for slogging through my ramblings. :’)

But then what would Red Vs Blue look like as a Sword Art Online fusion?
Because, like, it's easy to just dump them in complete AU, but I mean actual story translation?
Cause obviously the Reds and Blues would be newbie player, or at least they'd be casuals who don't play very often or obsessed with a certain game/genre but not actually very good at it.
And Freelancers would be more pro-players, like Wash did e-sports but he's not really into it, he's good, but he'd rather be having fun with friends than games-as-work.
Carolina's still chasing her father's approval and her mother's shadow by being the top of the gamer world, (her mother Allison was an e-sports superstar, and a top ranker in twenty MMORPGs).
Meanwhile, Director Church has created one of the worlds first full dive Virtual Reality MMOs, and he did it all while trying to figure out a way to un-vegetable his wife, who suffered brain death years ago when trying out another company's first attempts at full dive technology.
Director is convinced if he can just learn enough about brains in simulations, he can use the data that was saved from his wife's dives and put her back to rights.
So he created the game, and it's supposed to be the best game ever, incorporating all Allison's favourite things.
But there's a catch, in order for Director to get the data he needs, the game has to be running non-stop for A While. Specifically, the players need to be playing non-stop for A While.
So he's trapped them in the game with the threat of death looming over them.
There's probably something hidden in the T&Cs of the user agreement so everyone who logs on legally agrees to this shit, but no one reads the T&Cs, so they have no idea. They all genuinely believe they'll die in real life if they die in the game, and the only way to get out is to clear it. Like, even Carolina doesn't know.
The AI overlord Operating System of the game is FILSS/Sheila.
I was thinking (alpha) Church as Carolina's IRL brother who followed their dad into computer programming, but then it (the Chex) would be weird when the Allison Data that Director puts into the game develops its own personality (Beta). So maybe he's just part of the operating systems, on of several AIs running around low key maintaining the game and adding/manifesting new missions and materials based on their interactions with the users to ensure the game is meeting everyone's skill level.
He just sort of joins the Blues and pretends to be a human player.
Man I hope Director is paying the players to be there. He'd probably only pay minimum wage. Has a hospital set up for long term monitoring of players, and Aiden is going to have a field day with the research into what this kind of shit does to people's minds.
Lopez as a Bot that gains sapience/sentience.
It takes Griff months to find out his sister is in the game. (she "just wanted to spend time with him, but holy shit bro have you seen-")
Tucker accidentally hatches some kind of demon creature and tames it, it thinks Tucker is its mother. He names it Junior.
The Freelancers are the Front Line players, making the push towards clearing the game (possibly all of them were beta players for the game?), but somehow the Reds and Blues are actually some of the most powerful players even though they mostly just stand around talking, and getting into side-quest shenanigans.
Sarge is actually Simmons and Griff's shop teacher who is determined to look out for his students in the most tsundere way possible. Donut doesn't take shop class, he does home ec, but he knows them from Simmons' brief attempts at being on the school baseball team.
The Reds and Blues (minus Sarge) are all teenagers now, probably seniors, who go to the same school. (Wash is supposed to be in collage getting ready to graduate but e-sports got in the way, Carolina is younger than him but older than the Reds and Blues.)
Butch Flowers is the home ec teacher, (or/alos a computer science teacher) he and Sarge have a one sided rivalry that got passed onto their teams.
Tucker used to be on the baseball team, but he's currently suspended for reasons that probably weren't actually his fault, but no one knows what it actually is because Tucker like encouraging the rumours, since they're hilarious.
Caboose just wanted to make friends and have fun, and now the cool kids are hanging out with him and he made a Best Friend called Church and he doesn't have to go home at all!
Doc is either a first year medical student who doesn't have time for this!!! or Donut's boyfriend the others have never met because he goes to a different school.
Is the game sci-fi guns blazing or high fantasy swords and sorcery?
I don't know, irrelevant.
The reason Church is still bad at shooting things though is because as an AI he can make himself as powerful as he wants to be, and no-selling his shots is FILSS's way of smacking him with a rolled up news paper.

Influence of Articulation in brand promotion
It is a well-known fact that brands are created in the minds of your audiences. It is very easy to calculate the value of the products and services but it is difficult to determine the brand value of the product. The brand value of the products or services of a company is determined by the perception of your customers. Long term success of any company depends on this brand value and the way you build the value into the brand. Communication of the brand value to your audience is equally important. Big giants like Apple, Microsoft, and Google have high brand equity.
Brand equity can’t be determined in the monetary terms. A strong brand promotion adds to the visibility of the products/services of the company. It complements the credibility of the brand, develops a good reputation in the community and helps in customer delight. The brands can tap on these benefits and can create highly valued brands so that the mindful consumer is attracted towards the brand. The end consumer buys a product or a service after meticulous research. This alone is not enough. The consumer seeks social proof for the brand. It is often seen that the products and services which reflect and resonate the consumer’s personality find a way to his heart and are most likely to be bought by him.
The human span of attention is approximately found to be 8 seconds. It is these 8 seconds in which the content should attract the audience and also compel him to buy. This can only happen with precise content management and marketing. Add to the videos the brilliance of digital motion and see the results. In today’s world, less is more. The content should be accurate and interesting. Too many facts and figures make the content boring. Balancing the words and synchronizing them with appropriate videos, facts, statistics can increase the reach to its audience.
Influence of articulation in brand promotion can’t be emphasized more on. This is the most important deciding factor when it comes to the purchase of the product. Articulation is an art. Effective articulation conveys the idea behind the brand to the buyer. It is a brilliant way of remarkable marketing of a product or a service. Strengthen your brand equity with Edufic Digital. First leaving the mountain for a Trip with her father she met Sylva and quickly got a close connection with her, before Sylva got her wealth, Jin-Lou was one of the only friends she had and she sees her as an Idol.
Jin-Lou in HSA is... a wild mess. She challenges each student in fights, dance battles, drinking contests or tries their profession to seek the thrill and not get bored. This leaves her often coming to class looking like a big mess. Yet despite that it can't be denied she is one of the most chaotic and unpredictable fighters of the school.
She often uses slang and never really seems that serious, some of her genuine comments can come off as joke, Sylva can read her pretty well though. However if you want to seek thrills with her she accepts you with open arms.
Has currenlty a crush on Chiyo in her dorm and exchanges with Sylva similar cause she crushes on Taron. Jin-Lou also teaches a lot of people her ways of fight and enjoys doing so...
Unique Magic:
Getsuga Saiho
Grasping someone by the neck she can knock them out for around 20 minutes or so. A way to incapacitate an enemy. She rarely uses it for fights though cause she wants to keep things fair, only if there is danger.

sorry im gonna be mean abt starfield for a moment like i LIKE it dont get me wrong and i was v excited for it for years but there are small things that pick at me abt it that like, given the enormously long development time and the constant claims (from bethesda) that they're the best of the best when it comes to open world sims should Not still be something im noticing after release lol
you can't interact with items or read notes directly from the world, you have to add them to your inventory and then go looking for them, just like one of the worst parts of skyrim
actually you CAN but only with equipping gear and weapons. why restrict that ability i do not know.
menus require SO much tabbing in and out and back tracking, the whole ui is so unoptimized.
the inventory in particular feels like a step backwards even from the nightmare that is the modern pipboy
bethesda has learned nothing in the last 8 years since fallout 4 about combat, it's still awful and enemies are nothing but damage sponges. 8 consecutive shots to the head with a sniper rifle should not leave grunt enemies with more than 50% health LOL
SPEAKING OF COMBAT THEY *REMOVED* LIGHT MELEE WHILE USING A GUN FROM FO4 AND 76??? like there's no bashing or punching to get enemies out of your face you have to unequip your gun. which can't be done with a hotkey lol
another innovation from fo76 they scrapped is being able to access traders directly, without a dialogue prompt (pressing R instead of E when activating a merchant) so, just like skyrim, you have to go through the ridiculous "do you want to buy?" "i do want to buy" "you should buy!" *merchant inventory loads for 5 seconds*
doubly frustrating when like half of these problems were modded out in both skyrim and fo4, and even fo76 where possible. like bethesda your audience clearly hates these things. a lot.
like these are all small and i guess nit-picky but if you're making a current-generation "super technologically advanced" (their words) simulation you should probably, idk! make it feel good to play! and not like a 12 year old game!

What did you want to say about your hypothetical Flatland adaptation?
Glad you asked!
Long, long explanation below the cut.
So my Flatland story is sort of a sequel to the original story, and one that actually focuses more on Spaceland. It takes place at the beginning of the year 2050, fifty years after A Square's encounter with a three-dimensional sphere. A Square, at this point, has long since died miserable and alone in prison.
The third dimension, or 'Spaceland' is essentially just the universe as we know it. Earth is populated by geometric humans who see Flatland as an unexplainable curiosity and seek to study it. Of course, Spacelanders can only make their presence known once every millennium, so study has to consist mostly of observation.
There are two major science and technology enterprises leading the study of Flatland: GaussCo, and Sonnwell Scientific. GaussCo's Flatland division was founded and originally headed by a famous sphere named Albert, who was tasked with the duty of contacting Flatland at the beginning of 2000. His role as the head of GaussCo's Flatland division was passed down to his son Juno, and then to Juno's daughter Rutabaga, who is the current head in 2050.
Sonnwell Scientific came into the game a fair bit later, but is rapidly catching up in their research and advancements. However, there is a terrible reason for their success. Their scientists are kidnapping Flatlanders, imprisoning them in their labs, and performing all manner of cruel and unethical experiments on them! The public was outraged when they learned of this, but to Rutabaga's dismay, the outrage quickly died out in favour of morbid curiosity of the experiments' results.
Of course, what Sonnwell Scientific was doing should be a huge violation of the rule/tradition that Flatland can only be interacted with at the beginning of each millennium, but they had found a loophole. By capturing Flarlanders in dark vessels and not allowing them to see or know what was happening to them, they technically were not making themselves or the third dimension known to Flatland. From Flatland's perspective, a series of mysterious missing person's cases were occurring across the world.
The story begins on the eve of 2050. Rutabaga laments her legacy, the flaws of her father and grandfather, and the current state of affairs. In order to clear her head, she visits Flatland to observe it. Unfortunately, she arrives to find Sonnwell's scientists there collecting 'subjects'. She witnesses one of them take a mother and her children from a house.
Meanwhile, Edwin Square is out in town. To his surprise, there is a rush of people panicking, shouting claims of a notable politician disappearing right before everyone's eyes. Soldiers are quickly neutralising them. E Square rushes home to safety, only to find that his wife and children are missing. Realising that they've likely become the latest victims of the unexplained disappearances, he falls into a hysterical panic. Suddenly, a disembodied voice tells him, "You deserve to know the truth".
Rutabaga is absolutely violating the "once every millennium" rule/tradition by speaking directly to a Flatlander, but she does not care anymore. She attempts to explain to Edwin what has happened to his family, but he does not understand. So, like her grandfather, she pulls him into the third dimension, with which E Square is in awe. The lesson continues, and E Square refuses to return home without his family, but Rutabaga has no way of getting them back for him. In the meantime, she puts Edwin in a simulated two-dimensional space in her research facility, where he will live for the duration of the story.
From then on Rutabaga and her best friend/assistant Barnaby will try to find some way to rescue Edwin's wife and children, along with the rest of the captured Flatlanders, from Sonnwell's labs, while also dealing with their own personal problems and the flaws of society.
Of course, the whole thing is hypothetical. I don't think I have the patience or commitment to flesh out the entire thing into any medium.
