Paula
A survivor encountered in Edward City on a rescue mission.

AJ Smith-Shawver started on Monday, and it went rather well: 10 batters faced, 48 pitches, 32 strikes, 2 2/3 innings pitched, five strikeouts, one hit, one walk, no runs allowed. The 21-year-old poked his head into the majors for the first time in mid-2023; he threw 25 1/3 regular-season innings with the big club, plus 2 2/3 more of mopup work in the NLDS. Still rookie-eligible, he made our Top 100 list as the top-rated prospect in Atlanta’s system.
Plan A for the Braves doesn’t necessarily involve Smith-Shawver. Atlanta starts its rotation with Spencer Strider, one of the best pitchers in baseball. After that: Max Fried, Charlie Morton, Chris Sale, and Reynaldo López. Plus, they have quite a bit of prospect and Quad-A depth: Huascar Ynoa, Bryce Elder, Dylan Dodd. Ian Anderson (remember him?) is due back from Tommy John sometime later this year, and 2023 first-round pick Hurston Waldrep, with his unholy splitter, is being fast-tracked to the majors.
But the Braves will probably need Smith-Shawver eventually. Morton is a million years old. Fried will be a free agent after this season. The last time Sale qualified for the ERA title, Grey’s Anatomy was still good (yes, that show is still on). And four months ago, everyone thought López was a reliever. Atlanta’s Plan A might not involve Smith-Shawver, but Plan B does.
Smith-Shawver held his own in the majors (OK, his first two starts were against Washington and Colorado, which is only technically the majors) before returning to Gwinnett for the bulk of the remaining regular season calendar.
Like, there’s raw, and then there’s getting to the majors after 23 months of playing baseball full-time. Smith-Shawver is six months younger than Paul Skenes, the first pick in last year’s draft. He’s younger than Travis Bazzana and JJ Wetherholt, who are candidates to go 1-1 in this year’s draft. Smith-Shawver has 164 1/3 professional innings pitched right now. Charlie Morton had 39 2/3 professional innings pitched when Smith-Shawver was born. 🤯

Paddy was busy cursing David six ways to Sunday when Mike finally entered the tent. Eoin clapped him on the shoulder as he passed by and went to crouch by David’s bed. David was sweating profusely, beads of moisture dotting his brow and cheeks, giving him a sickly, unpleasant look.

There were many perks to being a werewolf: increased strength and speed, enhanced senses, an accelerated healing rate and regeneration, fangs and claws that could rend flesh and shatter bone, and being nigh immortal.

I have been seeing so many tags saying that they made a Radioheads playlist and I'm so curious about what kind of songs they have for them. I'm interested to see the different type of genre of music people have for Ryan and Dylan. I have one as well, but my type of music is like slow songs or more R & B and Jazz. Starkid Diana the Musical
So...I know Diana the Musical might be a ‘good’ show, but I had a mostly ironic blast while watching it and just had to do it (after all what other Broadway show would have the line “Harry, my ginger-haired son”?). That said the ensemble was clearly putting 100% into this show, so casting all the little parts was a lot of fun.

Peter: he enjoys it most of the time, love challenges like grill the grid, absolutely there for any and all volunteer work, cried at the puppy interview he did with bob
Bob: he despises interviews, it's bareable when peter is there, has a pretty stable social media presence tho, (gets babygirliefied by the fans. absolutely hates it) (lots of jokes of his frenchness as he races und the French flag despite living in the US for most of his live)
Justus: not even a driver but he is slowly getting included more and more after the fans start latching onto him as a person leading to being in multiple videos on the Rocky Beach Youtube Kanal that feature him
Jeffrey: he is extroverted as fuck but still hates media day, does not like reporters one bit (I mean Noone does bur he hates them so much), insta is Mostly his dogs, will participate but only if JJ forces him
Finnley : tries to avoid it as hard as he can, hates anything and everything he has to do that isn't driving, death glare at every single interviewer, once threatened to crash his car on purpose just so he doesn't have to deal with the media
August August: pretty chill honestly, up for almost everything, seems kinda uninterested most of the time but he's just like that™, bad case of resting unimpressed face, will participate in challenges ad be weirdly good at it, no Real social media presence
Morton: he kinda has to appeal to the older crowd as the oldest driver on the grid, always proper in interviews, runs a YouTube channel were he nerds out about cars and talked about books with August, just as chill as him,
Skinny & Dylan: their PR Team is constantly overworked, there is SO MUCH bad press about them no amount of interviews or donations to organizations is gonna do anything against that, will do videos with each other, refuse to work with anyone else (Skinnys french btw and Dylan Spanish)
