Finished watching the Owl House finale, and despite knowing the team will send the show off with a bang, let me tell you they absolutely INCINERATED the screen with that final battle scene, the episode is bursting with the resolve of artists that wanted to give us the best experience in spite of executives putting sticks in their wheels.

just laughed out loud reading comments on a thread post on twitter web of the new inside out characters. someone commented how nice it will be to see riley look up to a girl (the cool high school hockey player) and to see girls liking other girls not romantically.

eh um.........what the fuck with heavenly delusion. Like why cant i figure out this anime why is it like THAT the animation is gorgeous feels like a feature film then it has this weird concepts for the story that makes it feel like something out of a late 90s manga but i cant stop watching and i still don't know how to feel about it?? I am hesitant to read the manga since that might not have the same anime restrictions and there are topics i really would not like it to be more explicit.

it was not, but go off! i liked that one, but i don't love it, agree with both the raves AND the pans, and as per usual i have always had..... Thoughts about the daniels.

#asks #my opinion boils down to that i think yeoh and especially quan are amazing but the daniels tendancy to lean into toilet humor cheapens it #but also its themes are very surface level anyway. i did cry tho bc as a gay daughter of a mom who loves to not talk about it i did connect #but again like. it just doesn't come together in a way that satisfies me narratively. as an Event it's like. fun tho.#but i will reward a Big Swing over whatever it is the mrvl dsney complex is doing so like. i'm not as hard on it as i would normally be.
