Drinking Age in the US in 1983

I love that Genos is trying to analyze the ingredients of his cocktail mix.

But what I can't figure out if it has alchohol in it or if it's a mocktail.

Mixed drinks without alcohol that resemble cocktails are known as "mocktails" or "virgin cocktails".

Which is a hilarious pun to make about Genos overall if it is virgin cocktail.

But also, Saitama is treating Genos with kid gloves because he snatches the beer away from Genos when Tatsumaki offers it and mocks tatsu for drinking because of her appearance of being a kid. Mighty hypocritical of you Saitama, to judge someone based on appearances, but she has been pain in the arse to you so I'll allow it. You don't have to like everyone lol.

Despite Genos being emancipated, Saitama is apparently not ok with Genos drinking beer. Idk if Genos is allowed to drink or not per japanese culture where drinking age remains at 20, but Saitama when Genos states his age, says "so young..." despite Genos not being THAT much younger than he is physically and Saitama has barely reached his own mental maturation stage at 25. Maybe Genos has given Saitama a wrong idea about his own maturity in his overeagerness or somewhat naive disposition towards some aspects of life (because he can't remember clearly) or something and it's time to change it.

Ironically, Saitama is the one who looks younger here than Genos. Tiny egg. It's all in the character portrayal. Boyish innocence is gone, time to face cynical adulthood for Genos I guess.

Genos also looks more bishounen than before. If that was all possible. Maybe he will topple Amai-mask from that position at the top.

Wonder if Genos' birthday is soon.

I don't understand the premise of the Netflix show Fakes, in Canada the drinking age is 18/19 however you can drink with parents or a legal guardians if it's supplied by them. Why not ask your them for the Alcohol or an older sibling to get it for you? I don't understand getting a fake ID when the drinking age is so close by or am I missing something

In New Zealand there's no drinking age so long as your guardian allows it and your guardian the one exclusively supplying you.

You could be 6 and drink alcohol. I had a shandy(half beer half lemonade) when I was 12 or something because my mother said it was fine. I can buy beer from the wholesaler (liquor store) at 18. 16 if I'm married.

Over in the states it's something like 21. Must be 21 to buy and drink.

Madness.

American legislature will be like "No, you're 18 and your sense of judgement isn't sufficiently developed for you to consume alcohol lol. Could I interest you in a gun instead?"

dearly beloved Americans, it is I, the European, wondering what age you have to be to go to a bar in the US? (Florida to be exact?) I get that the drinking age is 21 but are you allowed to simply go into a bar and sit down and have a glass of water when you're, say, only 18?
