Prompt= Maybe some soft Anxceit with Drider!Virgil and Human!Janus with light bondage and oviposition
----
Janus was deeply in love with the large half man half spider that lived in the cave system under the forest. The fact that he ran away from everything he had before to live with Virgil underground should have told the Drider that he trusted him completely.
Virgil however was still doubtfully that Janus was completely committed to this life. Questioning often if Janus missed his old life, other humans, or if he really wanted to stay here with Virgil forever.
So much so that Janus was getting a bit fed up with it. He cornered Virgil while he was sitting so their heads were at the same height. He walked over wearing a very thin wrap around skirt. Getting a bit angry that Virgil didn't even looked up from weaving his web sack for his clutch. Virgil was more than a bit worried about finding a place that would be warm enough for them. Luckily Janus thought of a solution that would fix both their problems. He walked over and put his hands on Virgil's shoulders. Virgil blinked with his two largest more human eyes before looking up, his face softening. "Hello love, can I help you?"
"I have a proposal for you." Janus said leaning down so his lips were just a breath away from Virgil's.
Virgil's breath caught, "Oh?"
"I may have found a better, softer, warmer place for you to store those eggs." Janus said watching Virgil's face shift from confusion to realization as Janus took Virgil hand and pressed it against his stomach.
"Are you sure?" Virgil asked firmly.
Janus smiled, "I want you to tie me up in your pretty webs, and fill me with your eggs till I can't think of anything else."
A shiver ran through Virgil as his breathing hitched. Virgil's eyes darkening as he abandoned the web sack on the ground in favor of picking Janus up. His long thin spider legs uncurling from under his main body to carry them both to their shared bedroom.
Virgil couldn't say he hadn't thought of using Janus for this, pinning his lover down and filling him with his clutch till his stomach was round and heavy. He just didn't want to ask Janus, too afraid that he might scare the human. Now that the opportunity was given to him he was going to snatch it up as quickly as possible.
Virgil laid Janus down on the soft nest of blankets and pillows they used as bedding and kissed him. Janus leaning eagerly into it, seemly unaware of Virgil lightly weaving silk webs around his wrists and arms. Virgil pulled back and Janus made a small whine as he couldn't move to follow him, tied as he was.
"Such a good thing for me." Virgil said trailing his clawed fingers down Janus' bare stomach to the skirt. Smile widening as Janus shivered under him.
Virgil swiftly untied the knot holding the skirt together and opened it. Janus' cock was already hard and his breathing hitched as Virgil lightly scraped his claws down its length. "Don't tease."
Virgil laughed. "You asked me to tie you up Darling, I'll pick the pace." Although Virgil said this with confidence he wanted to give Janus time to back out if he chose too. Carrying Drider eggs was uncomfortable for most living creatures, even if Virgil would be there to take care of his little human throughout the whole time and he knew Janus wouldn't make a decision like this lightly, backing out would be the smart thing to do.
Janus however didn't seem to agree, he spread his legs watching Virgil's face as the Drider noticed the end of the butt plug Janus had readied himself with earlier. "Impatient." Virgil commented as if he wasn't painfully hard at the thought of Janus doing everything he could to get Virgil to lay his clutch in him.
"Maybe I just know how you think." Janus said softly. "Now please just fuck me. I've been thinking about this for weeks."
Virgil kissed him as he toyed with the butt plug, enjoying the way Janus moaned into the kiss. Virgil pulled the butt plug out and threw it off to the side to deal with later. He lined his ovipositor up with Janus' hole and slowly slid in. Easing himself inside breaking the kiss to watch the way Janus gasped and gripped the blankets under them.
Janus squirmed trying to help get Virgil inside of him, the long appendage was on the small side for a Drider, however Janus still struggled at times taking the whole eleven inches. Virgil was sure to mutter praise a reassurance as he managed to sink in to the hilt. Janus' soft insides tight around him, squeezing him repeatedly as Janus made sweet little gasping noises.
"You fill me up so good." Janus said trying to make eye contact with Virgil through half lidded eyes. Virgil kissed him again and nibbled down Janus' neck to his shoulder joint. Pulling out slowly before thrusting back in, drawing moans from Janus everytime.
Virgil hands grabbed Janus' hips, holding him in place so he could start pounding into him only pulling out part of the way before thrusting back in. They had barely started and Janus was shaking pleas of more and yes falling from his kiss swollen lips.
Virgil pressed all the way in, "Are you ready? There's no backing out now." Virgil warned out last time. He would have to lay immediately but if Janus had changed his mind he would remove himself, even if the thought was painfully.
"Please, I wanna feel them inside me, breed me full of your clutch." Janus said in a breathless tone. Virgil bit down on Janus' shoulder injecting venom into his human mate to relax his body and prevent any pain or discomfort. He could feel the first egg slid down and settle deep inside his mate. The slurred noises Janus made as the venom took away his ability to speak or move, stuck laying there taking every single egg that Virgil had.
Virgil removed his teeth from Janus' neck groaned at the pleasurable feeling of laying his eggs, the tight heavy pressure he had been bothered by for the last week vanishing. He kissed Janus again has the eggs started coming faster.
Janus felt Virgil bite his shoulder and within second felt boneless. He couldn't twitch a finger and his tongue was heavy in his mouth, but he could still feel. He could feel the way Virgil's ovipositor expanded slightly as the egg moved through it before popping into him. He knew he was making noise as he felt more and eggs settle into him stomach. He could feel his stomach expanding with every egg his Drider lover emptied into him.
It felt so good. Much better than he even imagined, the eggs pressed on everything inside him just right. Virgil started kissing him, "Feel so good, pretty little mate, fill you up nice and full, such a good carrier." Virgil hissed between kisses. Janus cried out as Virgil wrapped a hand around his cock and stroked it in time with the eggs. It didn't take long for Janus to cum but Virgil didn't stop, there were more eggs and they were both stuck together till the laying was over.
Janus couldn't think beyond the tight lovely feeling in his stomach and the way the eggs settled into him and the way Virgil's hand kept stroking him into overstimulation. Babbling and whining for more even if he couldn't get his mouth to make the words right.
"Just a few more, doing so well for me. We're almost done." Virgil promised, Janus' cum covering his hand and making the slid over the human's cock easier. He felt the last egg slid out and shuddered slightly at the feeling. Looking down to see Janus' stomach heavy and tight. His clutch safe in his mate, He would have to get Janus to agree to this again the next time he needed to lay.
Janus whimpered a bit as he came again before Virgil pulled out. The Webs around his body were removed and he was picked up. He felt too tired and was feeling floaty as Virgil washed them up. He was only vaguely aware of being carefully cleaned up and dressed in large soft clothing, things that had been far too big for him now snug across his stomach.
He must have called asleep, as he woke up with Virgil holding him to his chest, running fingers through his hair. "Mmm." Janus hummed nuzzling into Virgil's neck.
"How are you feeling love?" Virgil asked softly.
"M good." Janus said lifting a weak feeling arm to ran a hand over his stomach making a pleased noise with what he found. He felt like he had a watermelon in his stomach, but it was something far more precious. "Thank you."
"Thank you." Virgil said lifting Janus' chin up with a finger so he could meet his eyes. "You are the perfect mate."
"I love you too." Janus said before accepting a soft kiss from Virgil. "I hope you know I'm going to demand this every time you have to lay."
Virgil smiled widely. "I hope you know I will gladly accept." He said causing Janus to snuggling up against him. Virgil's arms wrapped around Janus and held him close. Safe and warm.

Janus managed to bite three different people before they finally pinned him in one place long enough to force the makeshift muzzle over his head.
He didn’t regret it, persay, but the little victory would have been far more gratifying if he hadn’t gotten his head slammed into a wall hard enough to make him see stars right afterwards.
If it weren’t for the cobbled-together gag, he would have started swearing. It was already extremely unlikely that he’d make it out of this particular clusterfuck unscathed, and seeing double certainly wasn’t going to improve his odds.
At least he’d ruined a few lives on his way out, he reflected as they hauled him up and out the door of the decrepit barn at the edge of town. His curse wasn’t useful for much, but he’d made the most of his venom and its ‘truth-telling’ properties no matter where he went.
The ones he’d bitten would be spilling their guts for the better part of a day, and he was more than sure that they’d be dropping some unpleasant secrets. If he was lucky, they’d be forced to regurgitate his little vigilante scheme to someone in town who’d see it for the idiocy it was.
Well, no. If he was actually lucky, he’d miraculously wiggle his way out of a painful and messy death. Getting his tormentors punished was more of a pleasant afterthought in the luck department.
He was unimaginably pissed that of all the plots against him, this was the one he hadn’t seen coming.
Sure, in retrospect, the dragon that used to demand tribute from the town had clearly had a bigger impact on the older populace than he’d first assumed. He’d been wary about settling there for a while, what with the scales and the eye and the other dragon-adjacent traits, but nobody had given him more than the usual level of confusion and distaste, and some people had been outright friendly.
How was he supposed to know that opinion would suddenly shift because something as generally positive as a rescued child?
He hadn’t even been involved with the whole situation!
Sure, he’d felt the overwhelming dread in the air when the child of one of the town’s governing members had disappeared. He’d breathed in a sigh of relief the same as everyone else when she’d been miraculously returned barely a day later. He’d even heard a fair number of the rumors recounting the stories she’d told about the creature in the woods that had helped her.
Strange, and definitely a reason to keep an eye on those woods, but the ordeal had nothing to do with him, and he’d thought it was over.
Except, according to his oh-so-gracious captors, that wasn’t the end of it. No supernatural presence came without strings attached, and with the rescue of one that could (at a stretch) be called an heir, they were convinced that the town would be called on to repay the debt.
So they’d decided that rather than wait for a monster to come claim a resident and steal them away in a week or two, they would choose the payment themselves. At that point, it was only a matter of picking someone they could afford to lose. Unsurprisingly, they settled on the cursed foreigner with the bad attitude.
Janus had had his humanity doubted his entire life, and now he’d been forced into the role of human sacrifice. He imagined he would have appreciated the irony more if it weren’t at his own expense.
His only balm was the fact that this clearly wasn’t a unanimous decision, going by the cloak-and-dagger way he’d been abducted and dragged out of town. He liked a fair few of his neighbors at this point, and he would have hated to find out that in addition to his imminent demise, he was also a horrible judge of character.
His attention snapped back to the unfortunate situation at hand as his captors slowed to a stop. They had reached a small, man-made clearing a little ways into the woods, with a tall, worn post driven deep into the earth. The wood was stained and the ground indented in strange places, as though the dragon and a bloody sacrifice had departed only hours ago, instead of years.
A shudder ran through the idiot on his left, clearly remembering something about the horrors that had taken place here. As someone who was about to become a horror taking place here, Janus found himself utterly unable to dredge up any sympathy for him.
In fact, he abruptly decided that the hypocrisy had earned his captor a knee to the groin, in the name of him getting the hell out of here.
The person on his other side must’ve been the keener sort, because their reflexes were much sharper.
One very short escape attempt later, Janus was firmly tied to the post, now with a spattering of heavy bruising all along his ribs in addition to his probable concussion.
To add insult to injury– or rather, injury to injury, they’d bid him farewell with a gash sliced into the front of his lower leg, relatively shallow but easily deep enough for blood to start seeping into his pants.
Fantastic. More obstacles to him getting out of this, exactly what he needed.
He tried not to dwell on his own helplessness, but it was everywhere he looked. He’d been stripped of his work belt and all the tools on it. He couldn’t make them doubt themselves with any well-placed remarks. He couldn’t even glare at their retreating backs without sending a new spike of pain through his throbbing skull.
A glance at the post was enough to dispel any hopes he’d had of physically breaking free; it was covered in various scratches and scrapes from previous victims, and there was no sign that any of them had gotten anywhere close to damaging it.
He tenderly leaned his head back against the wood and closed his eyes for a moment, trying to think of a way out. Trying not to let the creeping fear overwhelm his irritation.
A distant rustle made his head snap up with a painful jolt, scanning the treeline for a long moment, body drawn as taut as a bowstring.
Nothing. Nothing he could see, anyway.
Janus hissed lowly against the cloth of the gag, ignoring the way his hands had started shaking from where they were pinned behind his back.
It was going to be a long night.
Virgil was doing some early-morning web maintenance when he found them.
Or more accurately, stumbled across them. He regularly cut across this part of the forest to avoid running into anyone in the grove of fruit trees that the nearby town liked to harvest from, and he’d already been halfway across the clearing when the scent of blood hit him.
He stopped dead, shuffling his legs slightly to make sure he wasn’t imagining things, and then turned to actually look over the open space with a growing sense of dread.
Oh. The weird wooden pole driven into the center of the clearing now had a human tied to it. One that was staring directly at him.
… How many times was this going to happen to him?!
Not the thing to focus on, right now. Virgil took a deep breath, forcing himself to assess his latest mess instead of cursing whatever deity had apparently thought it funny to put him in situations like this.
The human was on the shorter side, with disheveled blonde hair, mismatched eyes, and a startling pattern of greenish-gold scales along one side of their face. Their clothes were meticulously embroidered, though Virgil couldn’t make out the patterns through the extensive amount of ropes binding them to the wooden pole. As though those weren’t bad enough, there was a strange haphazard gag tied around their head, preventing them from speaking.
Clearly, they had been brought here against their will. Not unscathed, either. Their legs were stretched out in front of them, and though their pants were black, one pant leg was torn and glinting wetly with what was almost certainly blood.
The sight was enough to jolt Virgil into action, and he turned to actually face the stranger, skittering forward a few steps–
They recoiled harshly enough to bang the back of their head against the wood, and made a low, panicked sound of pain.
Virgil froze, his chest growing tight at the way they were watching him. Their eyes flicked over every inch of him like a cornered deer, their chest rising and falling in shallow bursts.
This wasn’t one of his humans. This was a stranger that had been left to an uncertain fate, now faced with a monster. They were terrified.
“Hey, I– I’m not going to hurt you,” he said, his voice coming out slightly hoarse. He crept forward, slower now, with his hands raised in the human version of nonaggression. He tilted one down to gesture at their wound. “I don’t know how you got here, but that leg looks pretty bad.”
The stranger dragged both legs up to tuck their knees against their chest, curling into a defensive ball with a glare that screamed ‘back-off-don’t-touch-me’. The injured leg was visibly shaking with the strain.
“No, look– hey. I promise I’m not going to kill you or eat you or anything,” he tried, attempting to meet their eyes directly. He crept forward a few more steps. “I know that might be hard to believe with the whole giant spider thing but I’m very firmly anti-cannibalism. Even if it’s technically like, only partial cannibalism.”
That… actually didn’t sound super reassuring, out loud. Virgil winced, resisting the urge to groan. Why had he decided to start using words like ‘cannibalism’?
He really should just call it quits and go get one of the others. After all these years of avoiding contact to avoid scaring the life out of people, he finally had friends that could help him out of awkward situations like these.
Except… the thought of turning around and leaving the stranger like this, bound and helpless while those who did it to them were presumably still running around…
It would only be for a little while. Just until he could poke Patton awake and lead him back here. But a lot could happen in a little while.
The stranger was studying him with a little less mindless panic, now, but he could see the fine tremors running through their frame. It was probably from fear, or pain, or even… cold?
This close, he could see that their clothes were actually pretty damp everywhere, which was odd. The dirt was hard packed under them, no dew-covered grass in reach, and Virgil had been out and about for most of the night. It hadn’t rained this morning, only late… last night…
“Holy shit, you’ve been out here all night,” he said, horrified. “Bleeding!”
The stranger blinked at him with a level of mild disorientation that Virgil probably should have picked up on earlier.
Okay. Forget trying to coax them into letting him close enough to undo the binds and lead them back to town. The stranger was getting help whether they liked it or not.
Scurrying around the post, Virgil pulled his dagger and slit the restraints in one smooth movement, and then immediately swept in and plucked the human off the ground, lifting them up with the practiced strength of someone who regularly caught humans flinging themselves in his direction.
They responded with a distinctly-upset muffled protest, and a well-aimed kick to the gut.
“Don’t kick me with your injured leg, are you stupid?!” Virgil demanded through a wheeze, holding them out a little farther and twisting away from a second, much weaker kick. “Stop that!”
Deciding that making sure they didn’t bleed out took priority over trying to calm them down, he pulled some silk and wrapped it around the wound as best he could.
The stranger made a gargled hiss through the gag. Virgil hissed back absently, sticking the end of the webbing in place and deeming it a good enough placeholder bandage.
He readjusted so that he was carrying them more securely, an arm under their back and another wrapped around the crook of their knees, and hurried off towards the slowly-growing campsite where his humans were sleeping.
This was now officially an abduction; hopefully Roman wouldn’t get stabby about it.

tentacle monster Remus with an aphrodisiac slime that makes the affected’s mind slowly melt away until they’re nothing but a whimpering, brain dead mess breeding toy for him to use >>>
yes!!! tentacles and aphro!!!
before wattpad nerfed by book n my account, id check the analytics on individual chapters, and the rather basic tentacle chapter was always the highest in views and votes by like. hundreds.
anyway i love aphrodisiac, being used and slathered and forced down throats until bodies are burning with heat and desperation on the inside and out. and no amount of orgasms will make it better. in fact, remuss tentacles around their cock and coming repeatedly inside of them only make it worse, as more and more aphro is pumped into them!
and, well, its not remuss fault that having such a willing toy brings out his mating instincts! nor is it his fault when his new plaything begins to feel small, slick eggs slowly filling their ass

I was bored so here’s Janus, Virgil, and Logan as how I’d imagine they’re be in the RSWR world!! Janus is a half changling, he’s a warlock. Virgil is a drider (half dark elf, half spider) and a barbarian. And Logan is a teifling artificer.

Alright, I get your reasoning, here's my counteroffer (this is me spitballing and spending like two hours to come up with a concept, feel free to veto any of this, it's basically just headcanons (I don't wanna overstep any boundaries 🙈)):
Andy doesn't tell Remy but does tell or is found out by a seelie monster friend of hers - someone who is barely a monster or kinda human passing and therefore not someone Andy is as biased against. Let's call them Leaf for now.
Leaf manages to convince Andy not to tell her family about the pregnancy and to stay away from monster hunting. They will help her through the pregnancy instead and while Andy is reluctant, she agrees. During the pregnancy and around the first three years of Virgil's life, Leaf slowly helps Andy work through her biases - not all of them but most. She still isn't willing to tell Remy and is very wary of the Royal Family as well as Claims (whatever her opinions are exactly, it might soften but not disappear.) She does have an easier time loving Virgil though (this is assuming she had a hard time with it in the og timeline, idk.)
Virgil grows up more cared for, though a bit isolated. He gets homeschooled and mostly interacts with Andy, Leaf and a few other monster/monster-friendly friends (maybe some of them have kids Virgil can be kinda friends with but nothing super close.) Andy doesn't take him to other realms and she doesn't want him to learn fae either (though Leaf teaches him a few words here and there.) He is told a bit about Remy - that he's half-drider but a good guy and that Andy made the choice of not involving him in his life so far (with various justifications he might or might not buy into) - but doesn't meet him until he's 10.
That's the age where Leaf convinces Andy that Virgil is old enough to make the decision himself. He has been trained in magic to protect himself in both mind and body and has shown talent, so Andy knows he can defend himself at least a bit. Virgil is hesitant but does want to meet his father.
Leaf arranges a meeting between Remy and Andy, though they do not tell Remy what it's about. As far as Remy knew, Andy had some family issues and had to disappear for a while (so he wasn't ghosted but didn't know the full story.) Andy tells him about Virgil but puts heavy conditions in place for him to be able to meet his son. Which include that he's not allowed to be alone with him for now (Andy has to be present the entire time (she is mostly over the eating thing but there are also a lot of things she doesn't want him to tell Virgil, for example about Claims)), that Virgil isn't allowed to get involved with the seelie royal family until he's an adult and wants to meet them, etc. Remy is not happy about that but after long negotiations he agrees to most of them (there might be magic involved to make sure he sticks to it). He does insist though that Roman is exempt from the 'no contact with the royal family'-rule, even if their meeting will probably still be a few years down the line. Remy and his family live a long time and Virgil is - according to Leaf (who Remy trusts a bit more) - already showing potential to become a powerful witch, so he should live long as well. There's time for him to meet everyone, even if Remy is an impatient bitch. It's better than Andy breaking off contact again and keeping his son from him indefinitely.
So Remy and Virgil meet and Remy immediately loves him so much. They bond quickly - mostly through clicking and Remy teaching him about his drider silk. Remy stays for dinner and after a talk with Leaf discovers that Virgil apparently ate more than usual. As in, Virgil still adjusted his eating habits to Andy and Leaf even without being reprimanded for eating too much, though he still eats more than in the og timeline. Remy makes sure that his visits always include at least one meal, though Leaf also promises to make sure Virgil knows that it's okay for him to eat more. He does get better in this timeline and doesn't have an eating disorder once he grows up.
Remy gets more involved in Virgil's life, though Andy doesn't let them be alone with each other until at least a year later. That is also around the time when Virgil gets a phone and they can message each other online, away from his mother's eyes. I think Virgil would love Andy as his mother and still be influenced by some of her biases, so he is a bit scared of the seelie royal family. Andy has a very negative perception of them, Leaf is very neutral and Remy is very positive, so Virgil isn't entirely sure what to think. So he relies on the knowledge that they are all very powerful and that politics are complicated and dangerous, so he agrees with his mother to wait to get involved with them until he's older and more powerful. Remy tries to convince him otherwise, but he can't argue that there is some logic behind the argument.
Roman enters the picture when Virgil is about 14/15. He and Andy do not get along well, especially since she insists, same as with Remy, that she'd be there the entire time he meets Virgil. Virgil, now fully in his teens and a bit rebellious, is annoyed by it too, but also still somewhat intimidated by Roman's position as Crown Prince, asks Roman to train him. Andy is furious but Leaf talks her down, saying that it's a great opportunity. She reluctantly agrees but Roman has to make her a few promises (very begrudgingly on his part), mainly about not hurting Virgil, respecting his boundaries and not taking him to the fairy realm until he's of age and agrees to it.
Virgil grows quite powerful under Roman's guidance. He's already been learning a lot of magic from Remy and Leaf (idk what Andy could contribute, since she's known to be a disaster and bad at her job but I think she could at least teach Virgil most of the basics of both combat and magic) and with Roman's combat training, he feels more secure. Still, he has anxiety in this timeline, too, so he's still reluctant to meet the rest of the royal family well into adulthood. (Though I think he does have contact with Remy's parents earlier, whether that is online or they come to visit. Virgil does not go to the royal palace yet.)
Virgil is training with Roman when Roman is informed about Janus' capture. Of course, he immediately wants to leave and Virgil - who has been learning fae but is far from fluent and was looking for a way to prove to himself and his family that he's powerful enough and ready to dive into fae politics and meet Roman's family - insists that he takes him with him. Roman is very reluctant (Remy will kill him if anything happens to Virgil) but Virgil manages to convince him (maybe there's favors involved, idk) though he is assigned bodyguards by Roman and isn't on the front lines. So Virgil joins the campaign, without his parent's approval (he is an adult though, so... they can't really tell him no. They are still furious when he gets back.)
They end up finding the prison where Janus is held only just before the Unseelie. Roman and his cavalry hold them off while Virgil's in the unit that go to free the prisoners and get them out before the Unseelie can get to them. The prison guards have already fled like in the og timeline. Virgil ends up freeing Janus again, this time communicating in broken fae and maybe still a bit of magic. On their way to the fairy circle, they are attacked by some Unseelie that managed to get inside but Virgil manages to fend them off, impressing Janus - who at this point doesn't know he's Remy's kid since he knows Remy would never allow him to be here. Anyway, they manage to make it back to circle and the seelie royal castle where Remy is already waiting, ready to chew out Virgil (and Roman for letting him go with.)
And that's basically my justification on how Virgil can still end up with Janus 😋 I'd guess afterwards, Virgil decides to stay in the castle and gets rewarded for his efforts. Idk how Andy will react or if she and Virgil still have a good relationship at that point... This is just a very vague idea of what could happen and I definitely took way too long to think this up 😂
That's one hell of a headcanon! Wow, you put a lot of thought into this! Sorry it took so long to respond, the super long ask was a bit intimidating >.<
Let's see...
Leaf being part seelie/seelie monster alone would endear them to Andy more than Remy bias-wise. The problem isn't so much about Remy being human-passing as it's about what he is.
I still say that Remy wouldn't let anything keep him from his son and keep him from introducing him to the royal family, and he would have the entire seelie royal family backing him up so that's kind of a plot hole, but feel free to ignore that. Sometimes it's fun to get a little out there with headcanons and this is a good one!
Still including the eating thing is sweet. It gives Remy something to help Virgil with.
To be fair, even other fae are afraid of the royal family, so it's completely valid for Virgil to be afraid of them.
I can't see Roman promising Andy anything. There's too much that can go wrong with a promise. He may tell Andy that he won't do certain things and she'll have to believe him because he can't lie and just trust that he won't change his mind, but I don't think promises will be on the table.
This is a good idea! I like it a lot! It's sweet and gives Virgil a chance to have a good relationship with his mom while still getting to fall in love with Janus. I also like the addition of Leaf, I didn't even think of adding a new character to make it work! Very creative, love it.

Then can we talk about spiders? I own a bunch of tarantulas. Would Virgil be okay with me bringing them with me when he kidnaps me into his world? And info dumping about them??? I'm full of love for spiders. I have other pets, too, but spiders tend to make people the most uncomfortable.
*looks at Og Virgil with his drider son (his monster hybrid spider son lol how ironic me being scared of spiders made an spider hybrid oc lol )*
Virgil thinks spiders are cool! He would love to listen to you info dump him about spiders! And of course he’ll let you bring your sliders into his world!

The Urge to make a monster au where it's? Scp foundation inspired. But also v much acts like a wildlife rehabilitation center. Which operates in secret. The outside world does not know they exist, but this foundation knows that these creatures are crucial to the environmental balance of things
Patton is-basically an incredibly exotic vet. He's the one who treats the specimens. He's on call all the time because they have some very sensitive cases. They do have others to teeat and care for them, but he's the go-to.
Virgil is Patton's roommate and ends up being the place's translator when it's accidentally discovered that he can understand them. I say accidentally because he and Pat were actually going on a little trip on Pat's one day off when Pat's work called with an emergency(one of the specimens had escaped)and Pat couldn't just, drop Virgil off in the middle of nowhere or take him back home, so he, just drove to the facility and parked a lil bit away. And Virgil is just so confused. "Why is the animal center in the middle of the woods?" "Ah haha-just, privacy! I'll be right back! Don't leave the car!"
But Virgil does end up leaving cuz he needs ti use the restroom and figures Pat won't mind if he heads inside. Aaaand this ends in him bumping into a very upset... dragon? Long story short Virgil is incredibly shocked and the dragon is v defensive but Patton finds them and-how are they communicating? "... yoooou can understand him?"
"Uh... yeeeeah? He's speaking plain english? Am-I'm sorry am I tripping?" He's convinced this was a weird dream or something.
"Just uh, can you tell him that we're just trying to fix his wing? And to head inside?"
It's a very long story and Virgil still thinks he's dreaming.
Logan is at the least thrilled to have a translator, he's their head reasearcher. He knows everything there is to know about their specimens. He practically has Virgil join them on the spot. Virgil gets no say in it either. Virgil can also see the very clear spirit hanging over Logan. But I'm gonna skirt past that lol
Janus is, of course, a naga. Remus is a seaserpent. Roman is the dragon from before. Patton is fully human. Logan is also human, he just has the spirit of the foundation's founder attached to him. Virgil actually isn't human, he ends up sprouting spider legs cuz it turns out he's part drider cuz his mom was into some freaky shiz. Anyways that's why he can understand them.
Also his mom was def part of a weird spider cult, that's def gonna have an effect later

"You're jealous aren't you?" "I'm not jealous." +use the spin wheel ;) (modify it if you want too)
Jealousy
Warnings: Remus being Remus, slight cursing near the end
"You're jealous aren't you?" Roman could hear the smirk on Remus' lips as it spoke. He made himself peel his eyes away from the two love bugs in front of them in the livingroom
"I'm not jealous. A prince doesn't get jealous," Roman glared slightly at his twin, who rolled their eyes happily
"Sure, and Logan doesn't have a thing for idiots," Roman huffed at the comparison, looking down at the drink he had been grabbing. The fizz had stopped by this point, apparently he'd been staring for a minute
"I'm not jealous of a stupid snake, and an.. edgy emo!" Roman went up to his room, the the confusion of his roommates, who had been cuddling on the couch the whole time the siblings spoke
"What's up with Princey?" Virgil looked at Remus, who looked back
"A mystery we may never know the answer to," Remus shrugged, trying to not laugh. It was when Janus began to break that they all did. Roman was an open book, anyone could read him, "But in all seriousness, I probably shouldn't tell, privacy and all that,"
"I think you've been hanging around Patton too long, his morals are rubbing off on you," Janus smiled as he leaned into his boyfriend
"Maaaaaaaaaaaaybe!" Remus smiled wickedly at them, "Oh! Did you two know that a cock can break?"
Roman groaned as he laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling of his room, paintings all over it
"Why can't my brain just.. stop?.." He huffed as he sat up
Looking at his room, all he saw was things going back to those stupid, villainous, hot jerks. He went over to his painting corner, looking at the unfinished piece.
A drider, a naga, and a prince, it's what he had been painting for a while before he realized it was about those two
"..Why can't I just speak up?" He got the paints out, deciding he had to finish this. It was too close to give up on it!
"Jan, have you seen Roman?" Virgil asked his partner, who looked at him
"Not sense he ran off, why?"
"I haven't seen him sense either, and I'm getting worried,"
"I bet he's just adventuring in the imagination, or just up in his room," Janus reassured his partner, standing up, "We can go look for him if you'd like My Dear,"
Virgil pulled Janus along to the princely side's room, opening the slightly cracked door to look in
Roman didn't hear the door, but he did step away from the painting, looking at the trio he had painted. He sighed a bit, as he looked it over. The human halves of the two "monsters" were very clearly the other two, the prince being himself just as obviously
What made him finally turn to the door was the soft gasp that came from it
His eyes widened seeing Virgil and Janus both standing there, eyes looking at the painting
"What are you two doing in here?!" He stepped in the way of the painting, face going as red as the roses on his nightstand
"Move aside Princey," Janus said, pretty casually seeing as his face was a soft shade of pink. The two came in, pushing past Roman to look more at what he made
Roman blushed as the two began to compliment the piece, and slowly realized who it was of
Virgil looked at Roman, "..Is that us three?" Even through the foundation Roman could see the blush as he nodded
"If you wanted to date us, you should've just asked," Janus looked over with a smile
"..I'm a dumbass.." He sighed
"Yes, but you're a dumbass with a cute ass," Virgil said with a smile
There were a lot more cuddles after, with a lot less jealous princes

warnings: arguing, anger, mild misunderstandings
-
The journey was over.
His impromptu employers had reached their goal, a new stretch of forest that was close enough to a town that the humans could make the trip within a day to trade and barter, but far enough that they weren’t likely to have a repeat of what Patton referred to as the “Beary Bad Beartraps” situation.
His work here was done, his job complete, and his payment fulfilled.
And yet, Roman found himself idling around their new campsite long after Logan had pressed a sack heavy with coin into his hands.
“I mean,” he blustered upon receiving the third curious glance from Virgil, who was carefully stringing their more perishable goods up in a tree, “is my job truly done if I haven’t ascertained the danger of the destination? It would be disastrous if something happened before you even properly settled in!”
“Oh, that’s alright, I think your job is done!” Patton chimed in, clearing all the twigs and rocks from the ground where they would soon lay their bedrolls. “You should go now, so you don’t have to travel in the dark!”
Roman’s posture wilted slightly. “I mean, you all clearly have so much to do, I could at least help—,”
“Excellent,” said Logan, who clearly wanted to be sketching Virgil’s web patterns instead, “you can come take over in assembling the raincatcher, then.”
Brightening up immediately, Roman practically bounded over, too glad at an excuse to stay to bother complaining about the manual labor. Logan vanished and reappeared at Virgil’s side with his notebook in short order.
(Across the clearing, Patton’s shoulders went tight and bunched up for a moment before forcibly smoothing out.)
That set the tone for the rest of the week, each morning beginning with Roman stalling his departure for some vaguely-stated reason or another, and Logan easily assigning a portion of the day’s tasks to him. He was a surprisingly deft hand at delegation, Roman noted, for a scholar.
He was also under the false impression that Roman himself had a similar nature, for some strange reason.
Sure, Roman had taken to occasionally following Virgil around in a manner very similar to Logan, and yeah, he maybe spent some of that time pestering the drider for details on whichever monster from his travels jumped to mind, but that didn’t mean he was a nerd.
“It’s certainly refreshing to meet a fellow enthusiast,” Logan said in passing at dinner one evening.
“What?” Roman blurted, startled. “I— I mean, enthusiastic about… defeating them, maybe.”
Between them, Patton stoked the fire perhaps more intensely than strictly required.
Logan leveled an unimpressed look over the lenses of his glasses, rotating one of the skewers over the flames. “I see. The artwork you created based on Virgil’s description of basilisks was purely for destructive purposes, then?”
“You saw that?!” Roman squawked, his face growing hot.
“They were remarkably pictured, for someone who's never seen them. You would make a far superior bestiary illustrator than most I’ve witnessed,” Logan replied, unperturbed.
Roman ran a hand through his hair, and tried to change the subject. “You’ve got to be fair to them, most humans don’t go looking for basilisks, what with the unfortunate side effects.”
There was a concerning silence from Logan, who now seemed more intent on observing his in-progress kabob than ever.
“Logan,” Virgil said, his relaxed lounge turning into the weary tension he always got when one of the others said or did something unwise. “Tell me you didn’t try to track down a species that can kill you with a glance for the express purpose of looking at it?”
Logan cleared his throat. “I prefer not to tell falsehoods to my companions,” he managed, the faintest traces of embarrassment visible.
“Logan,” Virgil repeated, with a sort of agonized exhaustion.
“Oh, come on, Living Bitemare,” Roman interjected, trying to steer the conversation to lighter waters, “he clearly made it out alright, didn’t he?”
The drider dragged his hands over his face, muttering something about that not being the point, but he did seem somewhat appeased by the fact that Logan was right in front of him, safe and sound.
“Don’t call him that,” a voice interjected.
Roman looked up at Patton with surprise.
“Beg your pardon?” he asked, bewildered.
“Stop calling Virgil names,” Patton said, louder this time. He was still sitting, but his hands were clenched at his sides.
He sounded truly upset, and Roman realized that he’d never heard such a tone from the man before.
“Names?” he echoed dumbly for a moment. “Oh— The nicknames! I’m not— I only mean them as a manner of affectionate teasing! They’re not actually mean-spirited.”
There was a beat of silence in which Patton’s expression only darkened, and then—
“They’re not?” Virgil asked quietly, his voice barely more than a low whisper.
Roman wasn’t sure what his face did, but the expression must have been fairly visible, because Virgil’s shoulders lowered slightly.
“Of course not!” he finally managed to find his words, barely resisting the urge to jump to his feet. “They’re simply witticisms, wordplay, whatever I can think of in the moment. It’s a habit of mine, I promise you they aren’t maliciously meant.”
Virgil relaxed further, and after a moment, a small smile appeared on his face.
Roman grinned back, relieved and entirely unbothered by the fangs he could see poking out at the edges of the expression.
“I’m going to sleep,” Patton said, his expression carefully neutral. He rose and walked over to the bedrolls without another word.
There was a long pause, the three left behind exchanging worried glances before the conversation started back up again, more subdued than before.
“Regardless, I was wearing goggles with mirrored lenses, so the risk of looking directly into a basilisk’s gaze was relatively low.”
“And were these goggles tested before you used them in a situation where you would absolutely die if they didn’t work?”
“Well. That is to say…,”
Roman let the conversation roll over him, still staring after Patton.
Something was wrong, and he suspected it started with his own person.
The next morning, a quick word to Logan got Roman assigned to help Patton with the laundry, though it earned him a raised eyebrow of skepticism.
“Don’t worry about it,” Roman told him confidently, despite the fact that he had no real idea if this would help. “I’m certain I can get to the bottom of whatever is perturbing our dear Patton!”
The words didn’t seem to reassure Logan as much as he would have liked, but he agreed to the change in duties regardless.
The way Patton’s smile tightened into something almost painful-looking when Roman approached to carry one of the clothes baskets wasn’t promising, but it did prove that Roman was on the right track.
His small talk went almost entirely unreplied to all the way down the hill, and so Roman eventually let them sink into an awkward silence, trying to think of a way to broach the topic of Patton’s mood without offending.
In the end, Patton himself initiated it.
“Are you going to be leaving soon?” he asked with a pale imitation of his usual cheer. “I’m sure that an adventurer such as yourself must have much more exciting things to pursue than laundry.”
Yikes. Roman hadn’t heard the word adventurer spat with such distaste since he’d left home.
“I’m not certain,” he replied honestly. “I— I suppose I could come up with any number of excuses, but truly, I enjoy spending time here.”
“Do you?” Patton’s hands clenched tighter around the bundle of clothes he was swirling in the soapy water of the washbucket.
Roman glanced between the work and Patton’s face apprehensively, a bad feeling beginning to blossom in his gut. He wrung a pair of socks out halfheartedly before continuing.
“Yes, I do. I know I didn’t make the best first impression—,” Patton yanked a pair of overalls from the bucket, the water splattering them both, “—but I’m very fond of spending time here, with you all. I’ll likely feel the stirring of adventure again eventually, but until then, I want… well, I would like to stay here.”
“So, you’ll only leave to go hunt down and destroy monsters,” Patton said, a surprisingly brusque response to his heartfelt request. He was still washing the same pair of overalls. “I’m sure Logan will appreciate the extra pair of hands around here.”
Roman was beginning to sense a theme, here.
“I mean, yes, but…,” He turned to face Patton directly, a frown settling onto his face despite himself. “Look, to be fair to me, most of the monsters I run into want to kill me very much, all the time.”
“Maybe that’s because you tromp into their houses and try to attack them?” Patton bit out, scrubbing a pair of overalls with enough force that Roman was kind of worried about the buttons.
“Not true! Bounties are for when monsters are stealing all the goats or abducting travelers or, in one very weird case, sneaking into houses and tying like seven people’s hair together.” Short hair had become a necessity in that particular town. “That’s the definition of them leaving their houses to go do crimes!”
“Virgil didn’t do any of that!” Any trace of grime on those overalls had been well and truly obliterated by now. “He doesn’t hurt people.”
Roman persisted despite feeling like maybe he was going to be the next victim of that wooden washboard. “I know that now! I’m not going to attack Virgil again, I believe you guys! He’s a nice spiderguy, I’m convinced! We hang out! Why are you so hung up on this?”
Patton kept his head down for a long moment, dunking the spotless overalls underwater to get rid of leftover suds for a moment before wadding the garment up in his hands with sharp, furious motions.
Then, he snapped his head up and threw the ball of sodden cloth directly at him, the makeshift missile impacting against the front of his shirt with a wet splat.
It barely stung, but Roman jerked back in pure startlement so hard he nearly fell over. “Hey!”
“He’s my best friend, and you hurt him.” Patton was glaring now, his eyes shiny and red-rimmed. “He didn’t do anything wrong, and you made him feel like a monster, and you never even apologized!”
“I—,” Roman started automatically, and then abruptly shut his mouth. He’d— Things were fine between him and Virgil! They’d come to an understanding, they’d built trust! Sure, he’d been a jerk at first, but…
A flicker of memory; his hand on the hilt of his sword, his thumb tapping the guard the way he always did when nervous. Looking up to meet Virgil’s eyes and finding a face full of bitter resignation. Full of hurt?
Monsters didn’t usually care about what Roman thought of them.
But Virgil had proven to be the exception to the rule enough times, hadn’t he?
“— what everyone always does, you’re just like them, you only see what you want to see, it’s not right,” Patton was still going, though at some point he’d brought his clenched fists up to his eyes to try and rub the building tears away.
Roman stepped forward, reaching out to grab his hands and pull them down, meeting his eyes with all the sincerity he could muster.
“I understand,” he said solemnly. “I didn’t think of it like that. I’m sorry.”
Patton sniffed, trying to draw his eyebrows into a firmer frown with little success. “I’m not the one—,”
“I’m going to apologize to Virgil, don’t worry,” Roman told him. “But it seems like my behavior hurt you, too.”
Going by the way Patton’s face crumpled, he’d hit the nail right on the head. He pulled the shorter man into a hug, ignoring the dampness of the face against his shoulder.
The shirt was basically one big wet spot at this point, anyhow.
“I forgive you,” Patton said a few minutes later, his voice still slightly clogged up. The arms around him tightened a little bit. “‘M sorry for being mean to you instead of talking about it.”
“We got there eventually!” Roman announced in his grandest voice, making Patton chuckle. “… Do you think I should apologize to Logan?”
Patton snorted. “I think Logan already got his own version of penance from you. He’s been giving you all of his chores since day one.”
“Wait, what?”

What positions would Virgil do with Remus the most?
im pretty sure ive answered this before but itd be any sort of roped up position. more basic on remuss back against the bed, tied spread eagle, but when hes feeling especially determined or kinky, remus will have his wrists wrapped and strung to a hook on the ceiling, and body wrapped in pretty, intricate knots. and virgil fucks him while hes suspended from the ceiling like a spider feasting on a fly in its web

AU where all of the sides are centaurs, except Virgil, who is a drider. At first they're all having their happy centaur lives doing centaur stuff until Virgil shows up like "help I'm lost" and they're all like "a spider? oh fuCK NO-"
