That W.I.T.C.H reboot reminded me how much time I have spent on your W.I.T.C.H dress up back in the day on DeviantArt. I kind of wish I had taken screenshot of my girls as W.I.T.C.H :(

Ohh happy to hear about the w.i.t.c.h. dress up, it was one of my favourites! (the v2 one at least)

The dress up is still available if you want to use it, but you'll need a separate program or plugin to play swf files, and I'm a little wary of that since flash was discontinued for security reasons to begin with. But I certainly didn't put any viruses in my dress ups!

“Fine…Strawberry Shortcake and watermelon is calling for me anyway… If my ex-husband is looking for me, just tell him I’m reporting news in Nebraska or something. He doesn’t need to know about my pregnancy.”

The issue arises when white or nonblack dressers use, buy, hoard, and gouge the prices of black items like Afros, edges, locs, braids, durags, etc in raffles and resells. Inconvenience at best, rip-your-hair-out-and-shred-it-up-with-a-steak-knife-and-toss-it-over-your-pasta mind grating at worst. Because what is you finna do with that…freak.

But moderating every transaction to make sure Butter Baby Butterfly Locs don’t go to Amanda in The Valley?

How would that work???

In the rules of conduct, it is stated that face reveals will be taken down, and so will discrimination on the basis of skin color. It’s all prohibited, and you can’t claim any face as your own. Keep in mind skin color and weight is always customizable to an extent, meaning anyone can easily switch skin whenever they feel fit.

So how would anyone (black creators) selling their creations to only black people possibly know who they’re ACTUALLY selling this stuff to is ACTUALLY black if this was implemented?

Unless we check for IDs or birth certificates, but that’s intrusive and nobody signed up for that. On a site like this, and there are so so so many like it…we may just have to cut our losses! Sorry!

There’s no non-intrusive ways to ask for someone’s information like that in a dress up game. There’s no possible way to sense someone is cosplaying as someone black until they butcher aave, which isn’t foolproof. It would rely heavily on the honor system and people being respectful and truthful about what they should and shouldn’t be dressing up in.

We all know how well that works, just look at “take 1 😊” signs on Halloween candy pots.

I’m being sarcastic if that wasn’t obvious.
