The ensuing side effects lead him to confess and act upon his feelings for Bucky, who readily agrees to help Steve work through his urges, much to Steve's surprise.

Wei Wuxian’s farmhouse dreams/Wangxian retiring into seclusion are viable (and present) options for post-canon, probably just in a more distant future than where the extras leave off. Here’s an author’s note from mxtx early in the novel:
In the previous chapter, the readers’ focus was so weird. _(:з)∠)_ Why does the ten odd rabbits have to be the offspring of the two male rabbits? Lan Er Ge Ge also knows how to catch rabbits. When they’ve retired and enter seclusion together, they’ll catch even more rabbits and rear them together. (*^_^*)

Then there’s also this:
He sat on the donkey with his legs criss-crossed. He swayed as he pretended to be unconcerned, “Speaking of it,
HanGuang-Jun, do you plan on ever retiring?”
Lan WangJi paused shortly, as though he was thinking for a moment. Wei WuXian struck the iron while it was still hot, “Have you thought of what to do after you retire?”
Lan WangJi gazed at him, “Not yet.”
Wei WuXian thought to himself, It’s perfect if you haven’t thought of anything yet! I’ll think for you.
He was going to find a place beautiful though sparsely populated and build a large house there. He could build one for Lan WangJi next to him as well. Everyday there’d be two dishes and a soup. Of course, it’d be best if Lan WangJi was the one who cooked, or else they had to eat the things he cooked. It’d be best if Lan WangJi was responsible for the account of their money as well. Before his eyes even appeared the scene of Lan WangJi wearing coarse cloth, patches at his chest and his knees, sitting expressionlessly at a handmade wooden table, counting coins one by one. After he finished counting, he grabbed a hoe and went out to work. And, on the other hand, he’d... he’d... he’d do what?

(This quote actually goes into more detail about the plans, but you get the point.) Keeping in mind that while this second one is a pre-confession daydream, Wei Wuxian is, at this point in the story, already aware of Lan Wangji’s feelings (just missing the confirmation part) as well as his own and has committed to the idea of a life together. This is something that Wei Wuxian has thought about in detail for a while, now, going back to even his first life:
“...” Lan WangJi stared at the two making casual conversation, “Your dream?”
Wei WuXian was laughing so hard he might suffer from an internal injury, “Pwahahahahahahahaha, uh, yes. For a certain period of time, for some reason, I keep on having these dreams. I’d dream that we retired to seclusion to the countryside. I go out to hunt and farm, while you stay at home to guard the house, weaving and cooking food for me. Oh right, you’re also in charge of my money and doing accounts for me. At night you even mend my clothes. Every time I dream about telling you to boil the bathwater so that we could bathe together at night, but every time we were about to take off our clothes I’d wake up. What a shame, hahahahahahahahahahaha...”

And while we can infer that this is a dream from his first life – particularly because of the innocence of stopping before any sex happens and also due to the fact that the next dream is rooted in teenage Lan Wangji’s fantasies – I’d say this dream still reoccurs in the present. Because in this version, Lan Wangji doesn’t have a separate home; he and Wei Wuxian live together. So yeah, this is why my headcanon is that they eventually do leave the Cloud Recesses to be in seclusion/retirement together.
(Plus, Wei Wuxian also imagines that they just leave seclusion “if they get bored,” so I imagine that seclusion and retirement aren’t some no-take-backs life commitment to him.)

“Maybe it’s fate,” Grimmjow says, and his tone is thoughtful, borderline somber, but there’s a glint in his eye and a twist to his mouth that raise Ichigo’s hackles. “You are the best fuck I’ve had.”
Grimmjow raises his eyes from the incriminating bulge in Ichigo’s pants to his face, his expression expectant.
Ichigo’s torn between a predictable but utterly mortifying surge of self-satisfied pride and mind-numbing confusion about what fate’s got to do with that—with any of this. He manages a confused, “What…?”
Grimmjow clicks his tongue. “I’m saying your dick is the only thing salvaging this entire clusterfuck, Ichigo. Thinkin’ I should take you for a ride before I dump your body in some sea. One last hurrah. I deserve that much, don’t I?”
Yes, Ichigo thinks, all blind instinct—because Grimmjow’s somehow looking at him from under his lashes despite looming violently over Ichigo, because there’s a smoky husk to his voice that goes straight to Ichigo’s cock, because it’s Grimmjow and Ichigo’s been gone on him from day fucking one.
Yes, he almost says, kept in only by the sudden, painful dryness of his throat, and Grimmjow smiles like he’s heard it already, wide and wild, sharp canines flashing—

I was really happy to get the chance to bind @dragongirlg-fics' jiaoren LWJ fic! This was really fun to work on. Since the fic is inspired by The Shape of Water, I started out by looking at the movie poster to see if there was anything I could draw from. I ended up taking the underwater look and going from there.
The cover is hand painted linen, with cutout windows on the front cover and the spine. I used a ripple-patterned holo foil for the edges, and if you look at the cover window under a blacklight, a surprise is waiting for you!

This is the fanart I did for the fanbinding project of @dragongirlg-fics's "Don't forget". I hadn't drawn in many years but since I think that it turned out quite cute, I figured other people might also enjoy it.
There's a watercolour painting mentioned in the fic that has a lot of significance. Though I couldn't do watercolour (and definitely not in any of the Chinese art styles), I tried my best. 😁

Hi there! I stumbled across your podcast when I was rooting around in Tumblr and it has been one of my best accidental finds! I love the concept and the fact that I get to listen to many of my favourite authors talk about their work. You are wonderful for creating an initiative like this and I will be steadily making my way through your list of episodes ❤️
I have two questions that I was hoping I could ask you about. There’s absolutely no pressure to respond to me if you’d rather not.
1) I wanted to know if you’ve had any POC creators on the podcast? I am particularly interested in their perspective on fandom, so I did a tag search but it didn’t come up with anything - although Tumblr is known notoriously for being wonky with the tag searches.
2) Would you be open to having POC writers on your podcast anytime?

I'm a big open book and all questions are welcome, so I'm really glad you asked! Technically speaking, there is a POC person on every episode, and it's me. I am 1st (and 2nd) generation Chicano. Admittedly it isn't something I talk about very often on the podcast. I think I mentioned it exactly one time during the first Mandalorian episode.
Several of my past fanfiction writer guests have been POC! I won't point out most of them by name without consent, as most of those episodes were focused on the fandoms and fanfictions of those writers and not on POC perspectives specifically, but one I can mention is the episode with DragongirlG. That was our first episode for The Untamed fandom, and DragongirlG offered to give us some thoughts on the fandom as someone who is Chinese diaspora, for which I was very grateful!
I have never outright asked any POC guests to give POC perspectives on fandom without them offering first simply because, at times, it can be an emotionally heavy topic and I don't want any guest feeling obligated since it is nobody's job to educate us.
That being said, if anyone else wants to offer to give POC perspectives on fandom for the show, I welcome that opportunity! We don't shy away from anything on FFM so long as my guest is comfortable and wants to speak about it. POC fanfiction writers are always, always welcome on Fanfic Maverick.

hey, since you mentioned that you are calling dragongirlG (a chinese POC) out to do her own anti-racism work in your tags, you know she constantly does anti-racism work right? with her own-voice diaspora stories and modding for mxtx diaspora may… except whelp i guess all the anti-racism work stuff got buried with your campaign, didn't it
lol the reason i said that was because SHE is shitting on the way other people do anti-racism in fandom???? like. i'm not coming for anyone doing anti-racism the way they think is right as long as they are not actively harming people or undermining the way others do anti-racism. which is what she was doing with that poem. she was so committed to speaking against fandom anti-racism (what she herself dubbed it; she didn't choose to specify anything more than "fandom anti-racism") that she paid for people to see that post. so forgive me for taking her at her own word that she doesn't support fandom anti-racism ¯_(ツ)_/¯
and yes, i am aware she is a poc. fun fact: poc, especially my fellow non-black poc, can be racist, especially when it comes to anti-blackness! hope that helps
