What I say: I’m fine.

What I mean: Raven Queen should have been the one to wake up Apple White in Dragon Games. Although Apple’s prince being Darling was a good twist and did it’s job at shaking Daring’s faith in his story, it didn’t fit as well as it could have when considering the events of Dragon Games, and the story as a whole. Ever After High is about Raven and Apple, and their opposing ideologies conflicting with their deep love for each other. This is mirrored (haha pun) by the narrators, who are a married couple. Raven being Apple’s true love would have been an excellent bookend (haha pun take 2) to their relationship. This is furthered by Apple and Raven being the ones to defeat the evil Queen. Because, see, in the first frame Darling’s expression is just one of concern, right, because this is obviously a very tense situation for everyone and Darling’s trying to reassure them the best she can.

BUT, Darling’s expression seems to change when she’s talking about Apple’s happily ever after, which, at this point in the story, everyone thinks will happen because of Daring.

DO YOU SEE THIS? BECAUSE MY DELUSIONAL ASS SURE DOES.

man, like, just the way darling is looking at apple in the second pic; the expression is so lost and hopeless in a way, because she thinks that even if she’ll get apple back, apple will never end up being her true love yk.
