Have you read the Once Upon a Twist fairytale retellings? Any opinion on them?
the answer to this is actually embarrassing for me. so basically i kinda speed-ran reading every piece of Ever After High supplementary media all in one go in just a single day (or two i don’t exactly remember how long it took) which started with knocking out the diaries, followed by the shanon hale books including the secret diaries, then those school novels (i don’t remember what the official category they fall into is), then the junior novelizations of the specials, and finally i got to the once upon a twist books and by then i think i was probably burnt out and mostly just skim reading them. but i remember that faybelle was behind that shit like that’s a key detail in my brain. actually the books kinda hammer home my point about faybelle being one of the main girls because she did too much 😭😭 nah but yeah i plan to reread them in the future.
i find the concept to be neat and a fun little side-quest adventure for the characters. just fun filler stuff to mess around with.

Why TF are so many people weird about Raven Queen being seen as aroace?
From what I remember about Raven's first date, she didn't seem to be very comfortable being surrounded by people acting romantic with each other and the most romantic thing she did with Dexter was touch his hand, but like...that's literally it
Bro got goosebumps being given the bare minimum of physical affection, which says quite a lot about how he grew up tbh
Apparently it's platonic when Raven doesn't kiss a girl, but instead holds hands with them or gets hugs from them, but God forbid a platonic relationship between her and Dexter because he's got a massive crush on her 😮💨
Like granted, I'm not saying that they shouldn't be together if the writing was made to have them be together, but like...the ship feels like it completely disregards Raven's feelings on romance just to simply place her in a romantic relationship, especially after her first date

Faybelle filled her lungs with the crispy night air, a faint sting of smoke still creeping somewhere in the back of her throat. “I know, but we don’t have a choice.”
“Yes we fucking do! You- you decided to ignore it. You made the effort to honour my mother’s death by picking your people over my life. I mean, hell, I thought we had something going on here! You can wreck your ship or get eaten by the water beast for all I care,” the Royal sailor ended with a choked sob.
Briar turned on her heels and took off. She didn’t look back, she couldn’t. She couldn’t find it in her to find Faybelle’s eyes, or the hurt all over her features.
So they would fight as was set in stone seventeen years ago. They would fight until the other loses the ability to hold a sword, and there was nothing to do in order to prevent it. Or was there?

Guess what guysssss
I'm actually continuing to write one of my fics I started last year!!
It's a bribelle fic and it's actually pretty decent so far. I don't know when I'm going to finish it let alone post it but it's in the works and might actually be complete within the next lifetime! But all jokes aside, it might be done by the end of this year. Maybe sooner but at the pace I get things done it might be a while. I also want to take time writing it so it's as good as can be.
But as I've said when I posted my first fic (which is also a bribelle fic bec I'm obsessed with them) I'm new at writing and struggle and I'm extremely busy, so my works aren't mid blowing but I do enjoy writing and will try to make more time.
Also I have asks on and want to try to take requests for small ever after high fics. It might take a few days for me to write it but I can do it.

since the books and the show have different continuities and also within the world of the supplementary Ever After High media, the books themselves differ in continuity depending on series/author, i have a feeling this answer could vary depending on one’s bias…
i’m not adding an “other” option because you’re crazy if you think they met in infancy/as toddlers or if you genuinely believe the beginning of canon in the show (start of legacy year) is legitimately when they first meet.

I'm back into my EAH nostalgia and i just wanted to say:
i REFUSE to believe that "Mira Shards" isn't the official desing for the Evil Queen when she was in her teenager years. Have you SEEN this desing??? The details? The hair? The make up? Is AMAZING, by far one of the best desings of EAH.
And i am suposed to believe that this is just a made up look that the Evil Queen created with magic to blend in with the students? Nope, this is how the Evil Queen looked like when she was a teenager, you can't tell me otherwise. I can believe that she change some things like her outfit and make up so she won't look exactly the same as she did when she was in school, but her eyes, hair color and general style is still the same.
Why i want to say this? Because i saw the other desing that the comics had for Teen! Evil Queen and...
Look, this is by no means an ugly desing, but is just so boring (and kinda generic) in my opinion, the Adult Evil Queen has such a dramatic and detailed desing, that woman is EXTRA and i fully believe that she was just as extra in her High School years. I also prefer Mira's color palette and hair to the ones in the comic desing.
Not to mention, the idea the Evil Queen looking exactly the same as she did when she was a teen makes the scene of The big Bad Wolf talking to Mira and Raven so munch funnier, i read somewhere that the Evil Queen and Bad Wolf were friends in High School, so of course he knows how she looked like back then. Imagine being a teacher in your old School and suddenly you see a person that looks very similar, if not exactly, as your old High School friend.
Just look at the way he smiles at Mira and her expression, there is no way he didn't recognised her. I fully believe he knew it was the Evil Queen and chose not to unmask her. I just know that once he was back home with Red Hood he was like "Honney, you won't believe WHO i saw today at school, remember your old high school roomie, Queenie?"

I can’t believe the way the series ruined dexter’s character and erased his personality, I just read the first EAH book , damn he has personality, he isn’t just having a crush on raven , he’s nerdy , athletic, catapults cabbages for some reason , knows the library like the back of his hand , curious about his story , worried about it too cause he doesn’t have his entire life to prep for it like most ppl , actually interacts with raven enough to catch a crush .
Dexven in the books is soo superior, he’s the first royal to seek her out after legacy day , helps her in trying to see her story in the story book and she promises him to see his , helps her in finding the book about all the students , invites her and encourages the rebels to join the legacy day party , first person that approaches raven after she wears her legacy day fit , raven thinks about him and always describes him beautifully. I can’t wait to read the other eah books .

Hunter Huntsman headcanons
Hunter knows more than he'd like about shoes because he always listens to Ashlynn's many facts about them.
Hunter plays Minecraft with Cerise, Cedar and Sparrow, sometimes he teams up with Cerise just to kill Sparrow on Minecraft.
Hunter lets Dexter play Tailer Quick in their dorm room and keeps it a secret because Dexter doesn't want to get teased for it, but Hunter was already used to it anyway because Ashlynn is also a fan.
Hunter always lets Dexter vent to him about anything, he's a very good listener.
Hunter is very good at keeping things to himself as he has been hiding things about himself from his parents for years.
Hunter gets fairy down on himself a lot, because he knows he will never be the son or huntsman his father wants and while he doesn't want that destiny, he feels ashamed that he can't live up to it.
Cerise is older than Hunter and he has often come to her when he needs advice or to vent.
Hunter and Cerise are fairy good friends, he always suspected Cerise was hiding something but since he hides things about himself as well he never asked her about it and respected her privacy.
Their mothers are actually friends. Hunter's mother once made a comment about Hunter and Cerise "liking" each other in front of them and they both laughed because they never saw each other that way.
Hunter's phone contains millions of pics of Fern, Ashlynn, him and Ashlynn, Pesky, sunsets and any of his favourite wooden works.
Hunter always takes a picture of a good sunset or sun rise.
He is a terrible hexter and doesn't use his phone a lot.
He wants to be good at poetry, because he thought it would impress Ashlynn, but he's not, he's awful at it. (Literally the episode Cedar wood would love to lie)
Hunter can tell something is wrong with Pesky if Pesky isn't throwing nuts at him.
Hunter once scolded Pesky coldly for accidently hitting Ashlynn with a nut.
His favourite artist is Hozier.
Ashlynn is his go to person when he messes up.
He does not like Sparrow, at all. At first it was general annoyance, then it was Sparrow teaming up with Duchess in the exposure of him and Ashlynn's relationship, and then it was back to general annoyance but their friendship has improved because Hunter doesn’t like to hold grudges.
Hunter made the tiny satchel Pesky wears, and he made one for Fern as well.
When Fern learned to walk, Hunter insisted on taking her out for her first walk around the enchanted forest, his parents trusted him because they know he would protect her.
Once he tried on a pair of heels at Ashlynn's shop to see what they felt like, he tripped and accidently damaged them, he vowed to never do it again and paid damages for them.
Ashlynn tips him for delivering shoes, he fought her on it because he only did it as an excuse to see her.
He once beat Daring in a sword fight. Daring made him promise to never tell anyone. (He lied and only told Cerise)
Apple was never close with Hunter even though they share a story but after his relationship with Ashlynn was exposed, Apple lost some respect for him for betraying their story and with that causing her friend to betray hers (no one actually talks abt this and I didn’t even think abt it until I read Gumjesters eah rewrite and Apple made one comment to Hunter during true hearts day and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since)
He is a trans man (I know this is v popular headcanon for him but I adore it and I had to include it bc I love it sm)
Despite being a rebel Hunter is still afraid of telling his parents he doesn’t want to follow his story, he knows he will let them down and he wants to put that off for as long as he can. He thinks they won’t support his decision and his romance.
Hunter and Pesky met when Hunter rescued him from a wolf by distracting the wolf with some meat. Hunter showed Pesky he wasn’t a killer and gained his trust.
He is a great horse rider and has ridden Ashlynn’s dragon (the one from dragon games)

This woman has to be THE worst Mother in the franchise.
She had turned ravens pet into a bone rat right in front of her, She had locked raven in her room every time raven did smt good and had neglected Raven, now you could say she was just another victim of the system or wanted to prepare raven for her destiny like the other parents? But you know what stands out? SHE KNOWS! SHES AWARE! She knows That destiny means NOTHING! She knows that teaching- actually no torturing raven into being evil does fucking nothing she only did it for HER own fucked up delusion.
She had not only manipulated raven in dragon games for her own benefits but also Had hurt Raven’s loved ones, Then also saying herself “she’s going to be just like me because i gave her no choice” how does EAH tik tok see this and still think she’s a better mom than snow white? Yeah snow white isn’t that innocent either in Dragon games but she didn’t poison and hurt Apple’s loved ones!! And then the evil queen praising and saying how proud she is it’s immediately replaced with a “you’re more like me then you realize, like it or not you can’t change your destiny” KNOWING HOW THAT EFFECTS RAVEN!!!
Would also like to add how her Calling raven beautiful always makes me uncomfortable knowing the fact Raven looks identical to her.
Yeah the evil is iconic,interesting and well written but Pls be so fr on her parenting skills.
