Self Hatred Is Real

I continue to say, I am completely against swirling, whether it's for Black men or women.

There are over 2B Black men & women on the planet worldwide. It's inexcusable for anyone not to find a suitable mate amongst their own people. The foundation of IR relationships is self-hatred, point blank.

As such, I do NOT support any Black Celebs or famous figures (male or female) that engage in swirling. It's important to know that Swirling is a chicken that will always come home to roost.

Also, it doesn't surprise me.that Clarence Thomas was mistreated as a Black child. Black America has a history of anti-Blackness, that goes undiscussed. I experienced it myself when I first came here. Luckily, I had a set of cultural values in place since childhood, that allowed me to withstand the abuse, bullying, & humiliation I experienced here. But those values are not prevalent (let alone present) for our people in Amerikkkan society to serve as immunization against it.

Nonetheless, like our Brother Umar stated, we cannot let Negropeanism off the hook. We must condemn not only Clarence's self hatred, but also Black community's self hatred.

Negropeanism is a global phenomenon, but as someone that's from.the Caribbean & has visited (& planned to live in) Africa, I've never seen it as severe.as I've seen & experienced it here in Amerikkka.

It really must be addressed & treated.

KILLING A PUPPY VS KILLING A BLACK MAN

Dr. Joy DeGruy authored a 2005 book titled, ‘Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: America’s Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing,’ which addresses the residual impacts of trauma on descendants of enslaved Africans in the Americas.

In this clip from a 2008 talk she gave in London, DeGruy compared the societal consequences of stomping a puppy versus killing a Black man. She argued someone would be punished for killing the puppy, even though both acts would traumatise—and, as DeGruy said, dehumanise—witnesses.

Indeed, in places where Africans live under duress, we contend with much violence with neither regard to the mental and physical ramifications nor real solutions to end systemic violence. In the United States alone, a Black person is five times more likely to be incarcerated than a white person, while white households hold more than nine times more wealth than Black households.
