Hello,

First of all, I want to thank all of you for following me to this wonderful —albeit unconventional — social media platform. You (my amazing, intense, fervent fans) are the reason I am here and the reason I am allowed to live my our dreams every day. You have stuck with me since 2005 and trusted me to guide you down every path. . . no matter how many twists and turns I led you down. We have walked this road together, dear reader, and I am externally grateful. So thanks for being here too and I hope you stick around. I’m not always active, but I hope to be here more.

The next thing I want to address is the blue check marks. I am beyond grateful to tumblr for choosing to verify me as they roll out their blue check system. When creating this blog, I worried about many things. As a Gen Xer, I have never been the most social media savvy — much preferring old physical CDs to iPods if you will. I am also aware of the vitriol that exists in online spaces. So that was a concern, and the main reason I don’t link this blog to my website (I also want it to be our little secret. A little participation badge that reads “you found Stephenie!”). But my fears were quenched almost immediately! You have all welcomed me with open arms! You have all been so incredibly kind. Well except the whole “smeyer” business that I don’t understand. . . but never mind that. Thank you tumblr.com for the double check mark! I truly want to be more active and I’m excited for things to come!

Speaking of which, I’ve decided that since I’ve received the honor of the check marks I want to celebrate. But how better than by reaching out to you, my greatest fans. You have always allowed me to guide you, but now what I would like to do is ask for your guidance. I’m going to do a few interactive things here soon (polls and the like), but I also want your input! Here is your chance to let know what you want from me, in regards to this blog.

Can someone screen shot the different checkmark colors next to usernames?

I keep seeing notes or asks of people saying "how did OP get a green checkmark? WHy are your checkmarks colorful?" and I havent seen anything. every things is blue like it always was.
