Whumptober, day 23 | At The End Of Their Rope ("Hold them down.")
Unfamiliar voices. He was waking, surfacing from the depths of the warm darkness, very close to breaching the surface and entering the waking world.
He didn't want to. There was pain and blood and broken bones.
None of which he wanted to deal with.
But the warm darkness didn't want him anymore, it spat him out, and the waking world washed over him. Overwhelming sounds, pungent smell of rot and sandalwood. And cigarettes. And iodine.
Car. No, too big. Back of a van, maybe?
There wasn't much light. Only... a pen light, briefly shining over his face and he winced at the bright light.
"He's awake," an unfamiliar voice stated. Cold and clinical, but it had that gruffness which didn't fit a doctor.
A shuffle by his side, but he didn't look. "That soon?"
Durant blinked. Once, twice. The air was stale and musky, smelling faintly of diesel. Rumble of an engine came from somewhere above him. Above his skull. Right over his scalp.
"Hey, Charlie. You know where we're going or do you need directions?"
He-- he knew this voice!
There was a bit of dead air before this Charlie replied. "I'm good."
The familiar voice, Fuchs, he turned back to the gunman laid on the floor, one hand resting on his shoulder. "Alright."
Brushing up against the swollen, throbbing hole in his shoulder. Durant whined as his boss poked around the inflamed tissue, it sent sparks of this bone-deep ache down his arm and collarbone, he even felt it in his neck and jaw. A vile, sickening feeling.
"Knock it off," Durant groaned, squirming a little, as if trying to get away. Yet Fuchs didn't exactly stop. Sure, he wasn't moving his fingers around, but they still rested against that swollen mess. Any touch was too much pressure. Even this.
"Dom, Marin, Lud, you guys ready?"
The gunman tried to look around, woozy from the pain. Three guys, none of whom he'd met before, one sat by his arm and the other two by his legs.
Oh he didn't like where this was going. More pain, more broken sounds of agony tearing through his aching throat.
Now, which one was which? All of them looked the same!
Fuchs shifted beside him, finally lifting his hand off the swollen ring of tissue. "Sorry, I don't have anything for the pain."
Figures.
"Alright. Dom, hold him down. You two, pull his legs. On three."
Wait-- "No--"
"One, two--"
"Please--"
"Three!"
The scream that burst out of his lungs was not human. Black spots danced in his vision, his voice snapped in two and he screeched until his throat was painfully raw.
Until his lungs seized as they ran empty.
He couldn't even draw a breath, spine bent as if it was a fucking bow, ready to fire, hands balled into fists so tight he was sure he drew blood, his mouth forced agape with a silent scream before everything got swallowed up by the darkness again.
Sinking in the warm, black waters. An unconditional embrace of some being he couldn't quite perceive. Just that it loved him, its touch was the warmth he chased again and again.
And he got a taste of it once before.
Lishka.
But this imperceptible being wasn't Lishka. It was something older, someone he met years and years ago.
Unconditional love, doesn't matter what he made of himself.
But this being let go of him, he could feel its sorrow as he surfaced again. As he emerged into that fucking van again.
"Did we have to do that!?"
Fuchs uttered a single cold "Yeah."
Utterly disinterested.
But whoever he spoke to (Dom, maybe?) was growing rather agitated at the callousness. "You're not supposed to pull on a broken leg!"
"Marin, you kinda have to pull on a broken thigh bone. I've looked it up."
So this guy wasn't Dom, as the gunman initially thought. "Yeah but this isn't how you're supposed to do it!"
Some merciful soul let him hold onto their hand, and Durant didn't waste the opportunity.
"There's traction splints for that! I don't understand why we didn't just rob an ambulance!"
A third voice barged into the argument. "And what, get the pigs going after our asses?!"
"You know, Dom's got a point." Fuchs uttered, "Cops would've just fucked up our window of opportunity."
He should've stayed in the warm void, no one was arguing down there. No one was yelling, it was just a quiet buzz of his head.
Dom only blinked moments before he glanced down at the gunman. "He's conscious, by the way."
The air seemingly stilled, all four of them suddenly fell quiet, eyes locked on the gunman as if he'd done something horribly wrong.
Dom was the first one to pipe up. "Sorry for all that, we're doing what we can."
Followed by Fuchs, just as callous as before. "We're almost at the surgeon's. Charlie, how long 'till we get there?"
He's just so glad Durant wouldn't be his problem for much longer, isn't he?
"Five, ten minutes tops," came the reply from the front.
"See? Just a few minutes more and you'll be fine."
Broken bones don't heal overnight. Torn tissue doesn't heal overnight, especially if it's inflamed. A bone takes at least a month to grow back right. The bigger the bone, the longer it takes.
Durant only grumbled in response. Empty words, just pure verbal manure. Fuchs clearly did give a shit.
Puppy, he could hire a different loyal gun.
And he... he was probably about to hire someone else.
Then why did he come back for him?!
That's the fun part, you don't know if he actually came back for you.
He's seen it first hand, Fuchs was capable of just tossing people to the curb, leaving them there to fucking rot.
God.
What if... he leaves him too? What if he abandons him at the side of the road, what if you're a stray again, little doggy? What then? What will you do then?
Durant looked at his boss again. Fuckface had the faintest hint of a smile curling his lip. Callous. He didn't care a single bit that his gunman had repeatedly passed out from pain.
The gunman shut his eyes. He didn't have the energy to think about the intricacies of their horrible work relationship to even begin dissecting this mess.

Codywan but Hanahaki disease
I just remembered that i challenged myself to write shit and the randomiser just made me angstie with this one.
Y’all know how the disease work right? If not, here is the fanlore page to explain a little.
Resume: Obi-Wan is painfully remainded that he loves too much... in multiple ocasions.
1. Quinlan Vos
2. Satine
3. Cody
.
So!
There is this disease that is just kinda normalized by the galaxie. It’s normal to fall in love with someone you shouldn’t, everyone is beautiful and gorgeous in their own way you know? So there are clinics, doctors, specialized post-surgery treatments and things like that.
But for the Jedi it’s a delicate topic. For a jedi to have the hanahaki disease is rare and not always well recived. It’s a bit of a taboo subject let’s say.
A good amount of people think that they are incapable of getting this disease. Those who know are divided. Some think it shouldn’t be treated any different than any other medical condition, other that it’s a test from the force to prove padawans or to redirect them to the light side, and the most extreme think it’s a sign of the force that they are not destined to be part of the order.
So imagine the shitshow that unfolded when Obi-Wan, not even a padawan yet, was rushed to the healing halls after spitting a flower mide training.
This unruly and loud 11 year old youngling was having a harsh time with some rather rude bullies when he got to know a chaotic young padawan that kicked their asses. Quinlan Vos was with who he would get like house on fire. It didn’t took long for both of them to become an inseparable and terrifying duo.
Obi-Wan was a goner before even knowing what that meant. So after some time, Quinlan is gone on a mission with his master and Obi is missing him crazy while trying to train (and failing) and in one of his moments of like, recalibrating his breathing he hears some classmate.
“Surely he’s missing his boyfriend”
And it is like a whiplash of emotion just colliding. The frustration from the failing training session, shock from realizing something he didn’t wanted, shame and the rage directed to the other younglings, homesickness from Quinlans absense and just plain and suffocating fear.
He felt horrible, like he’d being punched in the stomach multiple times...
He wanted to vomit...
and he did.
It would take time for everything to go back to normal. After the surgery, Obi-Wan would start being more quiet and fearful, but when everybody kept avoiding him and yet the looks and whispers still followed him, that fearfullness became anger. Anger he would lash out at anyone who was close enough to make him snap and then escape.
He wouldn’t even get close to Quinlan for years. Only when he was back from certain kriffed up planet overbeaten by a useless civil-war did he brakedown to finally get a hug from a friend.
((I will explain Qui-Gon later if someone is interested ùwu7))
The second time it happens he was 16 and in another war infested planet.
Satine was insufferable. After getting separeted from his master, Obi-Wan was condemned to protect this blonde girl that seemed to enjoy getting in his nerves at any given moment, even when they were on a clear danger scene, calling him by several... innovative names, laughing when he tripped or just hitting him when she thought he said or did something stupid.
He was honestly starting to question if this misssion was worth his sanity when a bad encounter gets them to bond while hiding. They where both badly hurt and without any other option, were forced to truly depend on each other.
Over the rest of the year it would grow to become something more, but it wasn’t the time nor the place to let it flourish.
They had become important for the other in that certain way that would meet the needs of both of them at the moment. But they never got to become friends in the first place. So when the moment to split came, they both knew it wasn’t meant no matter how much it hurt. And it hurt.
Qui-Gon was silent during all the farewell. He wasn’t stupid, he knew something was up as soon as they had been reunited, so he wasn’t too surprised when the flowers came. They had barely left land when the cough started and by the time they where hitting lightspeed, Obi-Wan got send to the back of the ship where his master performed a highly clandestine surgery with the help of the medical droid.
When he wakes up after the surgery, Obi-Wan proceeds to pass the 5 stages of grief. Qui-Gon is nothing but patient through the hole process.
When his padawan tries to play dumb to himself, he just remaind him of the flowers. When he gets defensive, he just projects calm and serenity through the force. When the anxiety grows to much to the point to ask to please not to tell to the counsil about it, Qui-Gon promises to never tell a soul and when the inevitable brakedown comes in, he comms Quinlan to wait for them in the landing pad.
the fifth stage would take a long time to come. In fact, Qui-Gon wouldn’t even be alive to see it happen. It would be almost two decades and it would come in the form of a person.
It would be the start of the second year of war. Obi-Wan was putting an unhealthy amount of sugar on a cup of caff when he stopped himself at a realization. He didn’t like sugar on his caff, hell, he didn’t even licked caff! So why in the name of the force did he had it in his personal space??
“General?”
His commanders voice startles him. He turns around to be comfronted with a familiar sight. Cody was only using the bottom part of his armor, one hand resting on the bed he was currently sitting on and the other holding the datapad he was previusly compiling. A worried look acompagning his slowly not so relaxed position.
“Is everything ok sir?”
Oh.
Oh dear...
The realization would come... peacefully. Of course it would be Cody. His wonderfull commander had crowled into his heart slowly and deliberately without knowing. With the reasuring presence, strategic mind and dry humor, it was just logical that Obi-Wan would fall for him... Also because he couldn’t do anything about it. They are at war, he is his superior and he had a duty to fulfil.
The jedi took a deep breath when the familiar sensation starts to fill in, only this time, he doesn’t panic and run to the madical hall. No, this time is different. This time he isn’t overcome with anything if not acceptance.
This is his commander, who he loves dearly and can’t do anything about it.
So, with a reassuring tone and adoring smile, he responds.
“It’s nothing my dear, just questioning myself about the amount of sugar I see you consume”
Cody watches him closely for a couple seconds before smirking. They both know he is lying but this is not the time to talk about it.
“Sure sir, don’t you worry about it. It’s what keeps my sweet personality alive, other wise it would be crush by tha amount of useless paperwork we are given”
Obi-Wan just chuckles covering a discrete cough and turns to finish their drinks.

BARRY FINALE SPOILERS // i was also thinking that by sally’s metric, maybe fuches is actually the only one who can call himself redeemed in the end.
he did serve time in prison for his crimes. he atoned (in his own eyes, anyway) for what he did to barry by saving john. he acknowledged in his speech to hank what a terrible person he was.
however he does walk away from the murder of hank (and his men) without a consequence so maybe that’s all moot.

Fuches is my fav character because he's so... just so much fun. Like he's so fucking funny but also almost entirely soulless but by no means emotionless. The dude is akin to a jester.
Honestly he reminds me a lot of Saul Goodman in how he talks to people. Characters seem put off by him AND YET with that he still has this strange charisma where he actually can talk himself out of life or death situations and land himself a profitable deal off it as well.
His moral compass is so weak but not entirely gone. He'll comment how it's fucked up or sad if he thinks Barry has killed a kid, or thinking Barry is dead - he'll genuinely feel sad and empathise for a moment, but the next second is like ANYWAYYYY time to move on. He'll literally tell Barry he needs to kill a child - behaviour of a psychopath and someone that you'd imagine as entirely cold and void of emotion, and yet Fuches is still allowed to have a vast emotional range.
There's also this interesting possessiveness to Barry, which yeah can be VERY fond, but other times his characterisation and relationship with Barry reminds me of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Jesse can't walk away from Walter and live a healthy life or just leave Walter behind because he's toxic, Fuches can't allow Barry to leave him behind under any circumstance, and he definitely can't allow Barry to feel like he has the power in their relationship. Initially he'd talk himself back into Barry's life, but at this point, despite the fondness he has for Barry, he'd also have Barry killed than let him leave him behind and move on. He HAS to be the person that Barry is entirely reliant on. He HAS to be the only one that sees Barry for who he really is and be the only one who accepts him as that awful person. He wants to ruin his life and have Barry entirely dependent on him and him alone. I'd also say he's vengeful like Walter too and is smart about his ways of revenge - the thing is tho, I can enjoy Fuches in Barry cos the dude is comedy relief and leans into being a clown, whereas Walter is framed as being badass for his abusive fucked behaviour.
Also I just adore cockroach characters. Ones that are almost finding themselves at close calls for their lives, and yet they always manage to live.
Fuches' intelligence is highly underrated as well and he is consistently underestimated by surrounding characters. Not only is he a skilled manipulator, but he is intelligent in he knows what needs to be done to succeed and he can scheme well. I just.... he's just such a fantastic character I love him.

I'm never shutting up about this exchange actually:
Buttons: "The sea is my lover."
Ed: "Jesus Christ. You're still here, I forgot about you."
"But there's a cruel limit to the passion I can share with Her Majesty in this current form."
"No offense, man, but I just need you to not be weird right now."
"To love the sea as she must be loved, requires change."
"Oh my god."
"That's what I learned down in the old gravy basket."
*Buttons does his spell*
"Okay. Buttons, people don't change, not into birds or otherwise."
*Ed turns around and Buttons has turned into a seagull*
*Ed's face lights up, he has learned something important*
"Fuch yeah brother. Fly."
*Stede returns. Ed runs after him*
"Hey! Buttons turned into a seagull!"
Our flag means death is a show about how people who were miserable and stagnating alone can come together and change through the magic of community, love and support. They set up this silly joke about Buttons being a sea witch who can turn into animals just so they could have Ed witness the transformation (that Buttons needs to go through so he can love his lover as she deserves, because his current form makes the relationship unsustainable) and have his own epiphany about how people do, actually, change. If Buttons can change, Ed is allowed to change. He can trust that Stede has changed too, and will continue to change as their relationship evolves. He can learn what he needs to and go through his own transformation so he can love his own love as he deserves, so that they can have the fulfilling relationship they both want.

Erm.... You can't mention Raiden getting off to breastfeeding and NOT elaborate. I think we are ready for that conversation.
FINE OKAY ILL DO IT
Tw/cw: AFAB reader, NSFW shit
Not proofread
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mommy kink. Raiden has the biggest Mommy kink.
THERE OKAY I SAID IT
He likes someone that can comfort him when needed but will also discipline him. He's into light BDSM and wouldn't mind being tied up, but does enjoy touching you
Because of his humongous Mommy kink, he'd very much be into breastfeeding. He'd get extreme sexual pleasure from it and he'd do it as often as possible.
A lot of the time while hes breastfeeding, he'd either fuck his fist or fuch the sheets of your bed, trying to get friction.
He'd get so hard just by the thought of breastfeeding that when your milk actually hits his tongue he's practically cumming on the spot
Same with Bi Han, he'd also get turned on if you were to play with his hair while he breastfed, hes really into hair pulling too.
Raiden usually does sub, it's part of his nature to want to help others and all he wants is to help you get off. He often begs you to let him cum, whining like a little bitch.
I imagine he'd stutter a lot out of embarrassment too. So he'd sound a lot like "mommy.. please-please let me c-cum- I've been such a good boy-"
Obviously with more stutters but that's embarrassing to write cut me some slack
He would get jealous if your baby breastfed more than he does. He'd think that the baby is stealing all your milk, milk that's rightfully his, in his mind at least.
He'd never bring it up to you though. He doesn't want you to get upset over this, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't envy his own child.
Once the baby is old enough to stop breastfeeding, he'd be ecstatic that he has you all to himself again, and wants to get you pregnant again just so that he can continue breastfeeding.
It's become a huge deal to him and part of your daily life to submit your own breasts to him just so he can drink from them. The smile on his face when you do is always worth it though.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/n: don't ask about this again. Last time I ever bring Raiden up again smh/hj
