Does the dog die has a filter/tag for fat jokes
I wasn't sure how many people knew this so thank you to the hard working crew at DTDD and the community that helps them.

If you aren't familiar with the website DoesTheDogDie, it's a really helpful website for watching movies but being aware of triggers (there are websites for other forms of media, sometimes it just takes a search for them).
I found a really interesting content warning label that I am glad to see expressed:
Tumblr media
[ ID (also in alt text): A screenshot of the website Does The Dog Die, featuring a content label. The label reads, "Is a male character ridiculed for crying?"
Under the label is a comment from a user that says, "As someone who has been made fun of for crying multiple times by abusive friends, this is incredibly triggering. It's often portrayed as a joke, and it's just something I want to avoid. Many men are victims of abuse and get made fun of for it or told that they can't be abused, and would be helped by being able to know ahead of time whether or not that happens." End ID. ]

You’ve probably already heard of these websites, but I just need to recommend doesthedogdie.com and unconsentingmedia.com as the BEST websites for trigger warnings in media.
Does The Dog Die had pretty much every single trigger you could think of, from the major ones (death, abuse, animal cruelty), to ones that might be more specific to you (does the black guy die first, does someone cheat), even ones that are helpful to parents (namely, is Santa et. al. spoiled)
Meanwhile, Unconsenting Media is the best site if you want more in-depth trigger warnings related to sexual assault. It specifies whether the TW comes from sexual harassment, rape, an adult/teenager romance, and so forth.
Please use them if you or someone you love has triggers! Enjoy media safely!

DoesTheDogDie for Minecraft SMP's is so funny because on stuff like Empires and Last Life it's like "oh a few people die and there's sad endings but don't worry it's fairly mild nothing too explicit' and then there's the Dream SMP with 'yes' for nearly every box.

re-animator trigger warning on does the dog die:
Tumblr media
um. no? unless I missed something?
like. Hill manipulates, pressures, blackmails, stalks, plagiarizes, intimidates, abuses his authority, arrogantly defends out of date scientific approximation as fact, and outright lies (a LOT), but. I don't offhand recall him gaslighting anyone?
were there instances where he lied with the intent to destabilize someone's perception of reality and of their own sanity???? or is this just a "the internet doesn't really know what gaslighting is" thing?

Just used the website Does the Dog Die to decide if I'm going to watch a show and it made me think of this question about how we use the information.
Please signal boost for more results, thanks!

You ever watch a movie where a character has to put down their dog due to old age and you’re struck with the aching sadness and knowledge of your own dog’s mortality??
I literally can’t stop crying and my dog is only two years old.
