If I had a nickel every time Rick Famuyiwa directed a Star Wars season finale that separates the two characters who have the best shot at romance in the franchise right now, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

It shouldn't have to be said, but if this ship isn't your cup of tea, please take the option of scrolling instead of trolling. I just want to know what to call this thing so we can have one tag instead of 6+

The Clan of Three; my Forger family of a galaxy far, far away.
Now we just need whatever would be the galaxy's counterpart to a Great Pyrenees; Chapter 17 established Grogu is already anxious for a pet🎀🎀.

I've gotta be honest, I'm not even against the idea of Din and Bo-Katan as a romantic relationship.
As dumb as it is that Din is being sidelined in his own show, I find it immensely hilarious that after everyone assumed Din would learn to grow away from his "cult" and figure out they were wrong to make him wear a helmet and he'd end up more like Bo-Katan, that we're set up to get the COMPLETE opposite storyline instead. That after years and years and years of failures, Bo-Katan has met this "cultist" who completely goes against every assumption and bias she has about his people because he's honorable and loyal and a good fighter and loves his child like any respectable Mandalorian would. And he's full of the faith she's long given up on, so inclined towards optimism and hope for Mandalore. And then he takes her to his people after she loses everything and they welcome her as one of their own with barely any hesitation and call her redeemed after literally every other Mandalorian she knows has abandoned her. That "cult" that she blamed for fracturing Mandalore in its time of need is going to teach her the true meaning of being Mandalorian instead.
Which is the best possible way to have a Din and Bo-Katan romance, not gonna lie.

dinbo fandom become huge
YES!!! Their relationship was centre stage this season and I loved it!
There hasn't really been any main ships at all on this show? I mean there was Din x Omera (I LOVED THEM!!) and people were shipping Din with Cobb and Luke as well. But this is the first time there's been a ship I thought might ACTUALLY happen.
Even though they didn't kiss or anything as far as I'm concerned they're canon.
She dropped everything to come and rescue him. Twice!!
They effortlessly worked together throughout the season, and he even invited her into his clan after her home was destroyed.
"You had me at battle droids." The way he said that line read as romantic to me. C'mon... lets go kill these battle droids TOGETHER!!
Pledging his loyalty to her!! Like, that was pretty much a marriage vow.
In the finale she came to his rescue again and they fought together to defeat Moff Gideon. What a team!
How protective Bo was of Grogu. He was even sitting on her lap a few times 🥺 I think he kinda sees her as a mother figure.
Just the framing of the three of them throughout the season. They looked like a family. Especially in the finale when Grogu shielded them from the fire. Look at this clan of three!!!
There was so much build up and I was a little let down by the finale. There should have been a goodbye scene or some sort of conclusion. Have Bo invite him to stay in Mandalore but he declines and they go their seperate ways or something like that. They didn't have to explicitly become canon but just leave us with some hope that maybe one day there's a chance for them.

Remember when Katee said episode 7 is one of her favorites? I wonder if that’s a feelings reveal between Bo and Din.

I mean, if anybody would be able to secularise (/seduce) Din Djarin out of this culty mess, that would be Bo-Katan Kryze.
Never shipped Satine and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Obi-Wan x Sabé has been OTP for me since 1999), but thought I caught a photoset in passing where he canonically admits he would have left the Jedi order for her.
The power of the Kryze sisters to lure away the religious is potent. You got this, girl. Go save your boy a literal third time from himself🥴😵.

I think one of the things that intrigues me the most about the concept of a Din/Bo-Katan romance is the possibility of a romance where you legitimately cannot see either person's face.
One of the things a lot of people enjoyed about The Mandalorian was the way they were able to build up a relationship between Din and Grogu even though one party had his face covered all the sudden and the other party was a puppet (or a CGI character made to look like a puppet) who couldn't speak. They obviously had to resort to a lot of alternative ways to show these two characters cared about each other because they couldn't necessarily use the normal shortcuts.
Din and Bo-Katan, so long as both of them continue to keep their helmets on, will have similar limitations. They can't just let them kiss to tell us they're into each other and let that be the end of the build-up. We can't see any longing looks, no secret smiles behind the other person's back, no panicked looks of attraction towards the other person, etc. All of it is down to body language and dialogue alone. And a little Kuleshev effect, obviously, but still. Which requires more work to be put into the writing of the relationship than normal in order to work around those limitations and still have the audience buy into it. And that intrigues me a LOT.
