since i'm bored and have nothing better to do, i would love to share some of my personal favorite chiluc headcanons.

autistic diluc x audhd childe... diluc having a special interest in birds and childe having a special interest in marine biology.

childe collects bird feathers he finds on his travels for diluc, just to give the redhead an excuse to infodump to him.

speaking of info dumping, diluc is extremely shy when it comes to info dumping. the moment he realizes he's info dumping, he shuts it down instantly. this frustrates childe to no end, because he's never seen such a genuine sparkle in diluc's eyes like he does when diluc is rambling about bird facts to him.

diluc is terrified of rain and thunder, while childe is terrified of darkness.

when it comes to sleeping, diluc is more refined (in his words) and prefers spooning. childe, on the other hand, starfishes over diluc.

childe has a bad habit of collecting little nick-nacks and souvenirs that he doesn't need while traveling around teyvat. in return, the dawn winery has slowly started to fill up with these souvenirs that childe insists on collecting. diluc frequently lectures and scolds him for it, saying he's "cluttering up the winery"... yet still keeps the random little nick-nacks childe brings home.

speaking of bringing home nick-nacks, diluc frequently teases childe about it. he says childe reminds him an awful lot of certain bird species that decorate their nests with items to attract mates. the ginger always responds with an indignant huff and a mumbled "i don't do that."
