I remember someone saying something about how Dream basically fucks with Destiny's whole job because he can basically rewrite reality, and it got me thinking, what if once Ethel got her hands on (and started using/abusing) Dream's ruby, Destiny busted Dream out for the express purpose of getting him to take that damn ruby back and stop letting mortals fuck with reality.

the endless is my current favorite dysfunctional family. Dream is so petty and Desire just lives to cause problems on purpose, then they rope their whole family into the drama! Despair just always goes along with desire, and Death is just trying to keep Dream from being stupid. Destruction is the estranged one that left when he turned 18. Delirium is the youngest who has been so psychically damaged by her older siblings bullshit. and Destiny is the oldest who just sits in his garden watching it all go down.

honestly though i do think dream and destiny have one of the more underratedly funny sibling relationships
do they get along? no, not really! they care about each other, sure, and it looks on the surface like they're on good terms, because there's never any anger in it and they're both excessively formal
but then you actually look at their interactions and it's like watching two kids fight in slow motion while speaking only in a monotone
and my personal favourite - dream gets imprisoned in a black hole, in overture. desire is the only one who cares to do anything about it. but they don't have the power to pull dream out of there by themselves, only destiny has that
so what do they do instead? pull a ship out of the dreaming and drop it in destiny's garden. so that destiny summons him out of there to be like "dude get your shit off my lawn"

A couple notes:
The little book Destiny is holding is a 連環畫, a popular form of comic books in the Sinophone in the 20th century.
In case you're wondering why I didn't draw a chain: red thread of fate (I've taken the symbolism one step further of course. We're all connected to one another in some way. Who says only lovers can be tied together by a red string? And if the web of connections among all of us isn't destiny, I don't know what is.)

Honestly, I still believe they’re all trying to outslut each other in this one.
Dream tits out as always, Destruction goes, “Yeah, but I’ve got chest hair!” Death is about to pull a Sharon Stone, Desire’s already in the middle of it and just needs to will away their kit, Despair’s like, “Groan, you’re all so complicated, be naked, be free!”
Destiny: “Nope, you’re all doing it wrong, subtle, fully clothed stoicism is way hotter.” But then he proceeds to lean against the pillar as if he’s waiting for someone to buy him a drink and turns out his hip. Just a bit of course.
