Hello dear angle. I'm back with an ask that idk if it's wierd or not. Actaully I'm trying to start a fanfic about a civilizade xenomorph society and I'm turing everthing I like to these cute little parasites. So… I wanted to ask what do you think about an android Desmond with his three white xenomorph ancestors? I've read several comics and novels of alien and what I discovered was that xenomorphs were created to be a biological weapon. So I was thinking what if Desmond android was created by abstergo to controll the xenemorphs. He is like a queen to them because of the DNA they share. In this au the assassin-templair war is not still over. And even in the sky they are trying to take cotroll over the galaxy. What if Desmond works in one of abstergo's labs. Until he saw a xenomorph for the first time in his life. It was pure white with a strange looking mark on its forhead. Some thing about this mark was familiar to him which he didn't know why. The first time he saw it he felt a strong bond between them. He felt so safe around that monster. It felt like family. Like home. He put his hand on the glass. The creature came closer with curiosity and placed its hand where was desmond's. And suddenly something flashed before Desmond's eyes. A face. A man with white cloak that was standing there and staring at him in a kind smile. And then he was in the lab again. He stared at the monster and smiled. "Ezio. So it's your name."
I will leave it from here for you. I belive in you. You can turn this to a movie that worths watching. And mabey it's ezides? I love ezides fanfics and i don't know why. They're kinda apposite but still cute. Your blog is wonderful 🤩
(Thank you! While I cannot promise I can make this a movie worth watching, I will do my best to make this something monster fuckers would at the very least be curious about XD)
It’s not weird. I mean, I’m fine with weird ideas XD
Also, Alien is one of my favorite horror movies.
For this one, what if we just throw away Alien/Prometheus canon and spin this into another AU (mainly because this gives us an excuse to not use the canon explanation of white xenomorphs and the proto xenomorphs.
For this one, let’s set up Abstergo as being sorta in a decline after humanity decided to live among the stars. While they had been focused on profiting and trying to eradicate the Brotherhood, Weyland-Yutani slips pass them and became the juggernaut corporation that more or less controlled human settlements.
DESMOND was meant to be the prototype of an android line that should have exceeded everything Weyland-Yutani approved androids could.
But there were a bit of problem with DESMOND. For one, he appeared too cold, less expressive than the cheapest android and has a hard time understanding orders.
It was a failure.
So Abstergo had to pivot and create a new product. They manage to get samples of Weyland-Yutani’s ‘prized’ secret project and a basic ‘overview’ of what it’s meant to be.
Unfortunately, the samples didn’t have enough genetic information to complete their version and they thought, “Hey, you know what we have? The DNA sample of some dude that died during the 21st century! That might work!”
In their defense, the lead of the project, Dr. Vidic (relation to the late Warren Vidic is unknown), believed in this ‘rumor’ that Sample 17 is the golden ticket to Abstergo’s success. It was the key to the success of the Animus Project. Why not this project as well?
If the human DNA is unusable for this project, Sample 17’s Isu DNA might be what they needed.
For this one, they made three Prototypes to use for different ‘experiments’.
They were called Zero-One, Zero-Two and Zero-Three.
Zero-One is taken to the deepest part of the space station to be experimented on.
Zero-Two is kept in one of the more secured floors to be observed with limited ‘contact’.
Zero-Three is kept on stasis while Zero-One and Zero-Two are being ‘observed’. Once the observation period is over, Zero-Three will be eliminated and dissected to gather more data using what data they gathered from Zero-One and Zero-Two.
DESMOND has been turned into a messenger android, delivering devices and other items and acting similar to someone who takes picture of the person who took a package.
It was one of the few things it could do without having to be supervised the entire time.
It is during one of its delivery to Dr. Vidic that it sees Zero-Two.
There was something about Zero-Two that makes it feel something.
Makes him feel something.
Their first meeting ends with him calling Zero-Two ‘Ezio’.
His Ezio.
DESMOND starts visiting him whenever he has the chance.
And Abstergo sees this all.
Hard not to considering the floor Ezio is in is covered in surveillance tech.
Dr. Vidic thinks this is a good thing.
DESMOND can communicate with Zero-Two. With enough time, DESMOND can be used to control Zero-Two.
No.
Control an army of them.
So he takes DESMOND under his wing and starts to supervise the meetings.
The tried and true method of carrot-and-stick.
With DESMOND being the carrot.
During that time, the team in charge of experimenting of Zero-One fuck up big time.
Maybe they didn’t take in consideration the idea that Zero-One would use its acid blood to destroy its cage.
Maybe they underestimated Zero-One’s intellect and it manages to get them to open the cage by pretending to be sick or dead.
Whatever the reason will be, the end result is the same.
Zero-One kills the team that has been experimenting on it and starts to hunt down everyone in the Space Station.
During this time, Dr Vidic gets the idea of hunting Zero-One using Zero-Two.
And he does it by having DESMOND become bait because he knows Zero-Two will protect DESMOND.
He didn’t take in consideration that DESMOND’s connection might not be exclusive to Zero-Two alone.
So when DESMOND sees Zero-One, he sees him about to kill another Abstergo personnel. The personnel begged for help but DESMOND simply stood there.
Dr. Vidic thought (as he watched the feeds from a drone) that DESMOND is doing as ordered, to find Zero-One and to place himself in danger until Zero-Two gets to his position (Zero-Two has been fashioned with a device that would push a strong sedative inside him in a push of a button, deliberately placed in a part of his body that he cannot use his acid blood to dissolve it)
Zero-One kills the personnel and starts moving to DESMOND’s position on all fours. A predator slowly making its way to its next kill.
That’s when Dr. Vidic sees DESMOND take a step towards Zero-One and reach a hand.
Without any mirror, DESMOND touches Zero-One as he says, “Altaïr?”
“You want to kill them all? Okay.”
“… We can do that.”
.
Unorganized Notes:
They take Ratonhnhaké:ton out of stasis during Altaïr’s rampage and DESMOND stays with him because he hasn’t gotten used to moving yet and is the most vulnerable of the three.
Considering it’s me, I would suggest we just turn this into all three main couples (AltDes, EziDes, ConDes) for triple the ‘fun’.
They feel a connection to DESMOND because he is created to be a complete copy of Sample 17 with an android body. Technically, his ‘genetics’ is more or less in that ‘white fuel’ he creates himself and a bunch of 1s and 0s makes up Sample 17’s entire DNA.
In a more… ‘strange’ level, they feel a connection to DESMOND and DESMOND feels a connection with them because they’re the closest species to one another. Both created from Sample 17.
If you want smut in this one, well, they see DESMOND as their Queen and they have the instinct to mate with their Queen because Sample 17’s genetic code had a hardwired ‘order’ of needing to reproduce sexually. (to create Desmond Miles but the order is still there). Otherwise, they feel the need to protect DESMOND and to satisfy his every desire.
The xenomorphs take one more and more characteristics of the ‘target’ ancestor in terms of personality and habits. On the flipside, DESMOND starts acting more… ‘selfish’ the longer he stays with the three.
This would end with the space station succumbing to the xenomorphs but Dr. Vidic manages to send out an SOS before he dies.
This is the part where we can focus on developing DESMOND’s relationship with the xenomorphs (insert smut here if you want).
Then… an Abstergo rescue ship is pinged on the radar and… more cannon fodders as well as the possibility of finally leaving the space station.
The twist is there’s an Assassin aboard the rescue ship and this Assassin would get in contact with DESMOND and realize who he is based on because the Brotherhood never forgot Desmond Miles. (this gives us the chance to make this either (1) DESMOND and the xenomorphs joining the Brotherhood for a sorta morally gray good guys scenario or (2) they kill the Assassin and go on full on corrupted “the world against us” setup)

Reread step by step (again again) and i kinda wonder how the story would change if reggie were alive and how he and Des would get along
(Also i am still working on the Desmond replaces heller au, but its slow going cause my brain just went ”desdel, hero!Delsin and Thief!(sorta) Desmond au and now im thinking of that)
okay but I think about a reggie-lives scenario in step by step ALL THE TIME!
reggie would be SO suspicious of des (and company) from the get-go, he's a cop and he, being delsin's brother, can spot shady shit a mile away and des? even with his kind personality, would be setting off alarms left right and center!
what kind of 25 year old doesn't have a cell phone? what do you mean he has combat training but no record of service? why can't he give a single straight answer about his past? WHAT'S UP WITH THE GODDAMN SLEEVE???
once everything was out in the open tho, reggie would adopt des in a heartbeat, no question! desmond just gives off 'adopt me' vibes anyways tho lol
besides that, he and shaun would get along like a house on fire, and the fic would quickly develop a reggie/fetch side pairing haha

how do you think charlie would come out as trans to the other castaways? or do you think he would just stay closeted?
yeah, as i imagine it, he’s closeted to every castaway except for claire (and in a charlie lives AU, desmond. maybe more, it depends on the context. i have a fic wip wherein my science trio are told in limbo… it’s a… its a ship thing)
but within these situations, i think charlie comes out the same-ish way. like, right before first time having sex, charlie (who’s terrified, and despite having quite a lot of experience with sex: this never gets any easier) has to inform his partner
basically he only comes out when he absolutely has to, because it means a lot to him that this stay secret (like, claire will never tell kate. never ever. she’s a good girl) because charlie wants to remain being seen a certain way
and also fear and rejection, that sorta thing
the way he’d do it.. well, this isn’t easy for him so he’s nervous when he’s talking. his typical opener (because just opening ur pants would be tacky) is to like, point out his t patch and explain what it does (claire thought it was a nicotine patch) and then as best he can, explain the way he is. the words that come to mind here are: “when i was born, the doctor’s said “it’s a girl!”… i disagreed”
its basically like saying n showing certain things until the person he’s talking to finally gets it and they do with that information what they will
and yeah, claire (and other ppl i ship charlie with) are shocked/surprised/confused at first but ultimately are fine with it
(i have charlie only get transphobia from people in his past. like at school or from some groupies. backstory people, not current people)
thanks for the question!

saw the Joker!Desmond idea & the tags about the LoA & a bunny emerged! so here u go for the bunnyvault: Desmond reborn as Talia Al Ghul's twin brother. it would be a little nightmarish with the Leader of Assassin Group Father (with extra crazy) in a death cult, but there would be room for funny bits. like Desmond just Judging Talia's taste in men. *gestures to ALL of Bruce's everything* WHY? R U into this man? doting on/teaching damian the Creed in secret. accidentally leading a schism in the League. * over 200 yrs & what have we actually accomplished "Dad"?* bullying his sorta brother in law. idk
The ask that inspired this one about Joker!Desmond AU which had these tags:
#ngl #the idea of desmond being the leader of the league of assassins #would be a fun idea #especially if we set this before cassandra runs away #so we can have a mentally unstable desmond #try to raise a socially awkward cassandra #it would be both funny #and also a bit tragic
So… Desmond went from one fucked up family to another fucked up family. XD
I think it could be debated on who is a worse father, Ra’s Al Ghul or William Miles lol.
Anyway, he would have a strained relationship with his family, not just with his new father. For one, he and Talia would have grown up being pitted against one another and their competition would be ‘nourished’ by their own father. Talia would probably respect him and care for him as her twin brother but loathe him as her rival because he was a prodigy in the eyes of the League.
Desmond, for his part, would try to be the nice brother (relying heavily on Ezio’s Bleed for help) but Talia can be quite a handful when she feels like it so there’s a bit of annoyed older brother vibe to how Desmond deal with Talia sometimes.
Which would be funnier if Desmond is actually the younger of the twins XD
Also, let’s not forget that the Lazarus Pit is used to ensure that they do get to live that long so… Desmond’s mental state post-Bleeding Effect? It definitely takes a hit every time he uses the Lazarus Pit.
The first time it happens, Desmond didn’t know the extent of the Lazarus’ Pit powers. He had grown up in an isolated ‘community’ (again) and in an unknown world (let’s say that Desmond’s world doesn’t have DC in it) so he just figured it’s one of those long honored tradition.
Then he emerged from the Lazarus Pit and… he sees Altaïr in the crowd of league members…
He doesn’t go to the pit regularly. Not as much as their father but…
He sees them… walking around, always near but too far at the same time.
Then an accident happened and Desmond was dunked into the Pit once more. He was too valuable to let die after all (and maybe… Ra’s Al Ghul did care for him in his own twisted way but, then again, so did William Miles).
When he emerges from the Lazarus Pit, he could hear them.
They talk to him now.
They support him, give him tips and suggestions…
They make him feel… warm.
A warmth that he rarely felt in this place. A warmth that he had only felt maybe once or twice from his father, more times with his twin but they would be so short they felt like they were already fleeting by the time Desmond felt it.
He knew then and there that the Lazarus Pit was dangerous.
Because he also knew… his body had grown stronger.
He had become more.
But the worst part? Desmond didn’t realize that he and the whispers he hears… they were being stripped of their moral compass little by little by the Lazarus Pit.
Desmond does his best not to go to the Pit. But, at the same time, he hears its call. He starts to wonder if the next time he goes to the Pit, he would be able to feel them. To touch them.
Then…
Bruce Wayne came to the League and asked to be trained.
He was… an interesting fellow, to say the least.
He could feel the sexual tension in the room whenever he and Talia were together.
And Desmond tried to keep his distance, more because Talia hates it when Desmond takes her ‘things’ even if Desmond didn’t intend to do it or didn’t even know they were her things from the very beginning.
None of that mattered.
But Bruce saw him.
And among the best of the Leagues, Bruce knew he was the one most challenging of all. His movements were erratic and random but they always strike true. It was like fighting multiple opponents at the same time, weaving in and out of different stances and fighting techniques like flowing water.
And Desmond was, by far, the most normal of the Leagues. As long as Bruce ignored how it always seem like Desmond is looking elsewhere as if someone who wasn’t there was talking to him or how he sometimes nods or makes noises that signify he was listening even though no one was speaking.
Then…
It all came crashing down.
Bruce became Batman and became a thorn in the side of the League.
And Gotham City becomes a beacon to the Leagues.
It’s not all bad though.
Desmond is more or less amicable to helping Batman if it interests him or benefits him in any way. Among the Leagues, he’s the one who Batman could trust the most. Batman knows Desmond has plans of his own for Gotham City and he has no qualms killing those he perceive as evil but Desmond could be reason with… to an extent.
Then… Jason Todd died…
Talia took his body and revived him in the Pit.
And Desmond watched as Jason tries to control himself as he stayed in the League. He was Talia’s though and Talia hates to share so…
He goes to him in secret. Only when they are alone and Desmond is sure Talia would not know of it later on. He tries to teach him how to channel his rage and that primal urge that seemed to come from being revived by the Pit. He teaches him the Creed and what it means to be an Assassin. Not one of the League’s assassin but an Assassin.
When Jason leaves the League, he bears a burn in his left ring finger and Desmond realized…
There was no need to continue to stay in the shadow, quietly and swiftly undermining the plans of the Leagues he didn’t agree with.
He just… needs to take matter on his own hands.
That’s when Desmond starts growing his own faction in the League itself. His moral compass skewered enough that he believes he can ‘fix’ the League and turn it into a real Assassin Brotherhood. He takes in Lady Shiva and his sister. Becomes Cassandra Cain’s guardian later on after the tragedy that pushes Cassandra Cain’s life was unraveled by Desmond himself.
Then Damien was born and Desmond couldn’t help himself. He sees himself a lot in Damien and he knows his sister enough to know she would fuck him up. He does not, however, realize that he wasn’t any better after all. He’s better in hiding it but… the Pit has affected him as well.
Damien would remember his kindness and would be the least inclined to go against Desmond even when he dons the cape of Robin and makes it his own. Desmond would always be the kind uncle who smiled at him and patted his head. The one who thought him how to kill men five times larger than him and how to care for eagles so they would be loyal to him. Desmond gave him a childhood that seemed both normal and strange. Damien would see how easy it was for Bruce Wayne and his family to care for him and feel a pang in his chest because that was the kind of love he felt from his uncle. And yet… his uncle stayed in the League and still continue to smile at him and tell him he’s doing well even when they’re on different side. Damien knows the League is wrong and that he’s doing the right thing but, at the same time… his uncle made him think that maybe… just maybe… No. Damien can’t think that. His father would be disappointed in him if he did.
Damien does not know that Bruce harbors the same ‘maybe’ in his mind. Every time he sees Desmond, he wonders if the League is beyond saving. But, unlike Damien, he does not hold Desmond with rose-tinted glasses. He knows how dangerous Desmond is.
So when Batman and his allies hear that a civil war has erupted in the League, one faction led by Desmond and another faction led by Ra’s… Batman can’t help but question if a League led by Desmond would be a good thing. A better alternative to Ra’s? For who? The League? The world? Himself?
Talia stays with their father, of course, she does. She does it not out of loyalty for their father but because she will always stand against her brother. That was how they were raised.
The Batfamily tries to stay away from all this. But some of them do tend to lean towards Desmond’s faction more. Mainly because Desmond is the ‘nice one’.
It would be Dick who reminds everyone that just because Desmond is nice to them doesn’t mean that they should lower their guard.
They must always remember.
Desmond… is an Assassin.
.
Unorganized Notes (this is gonna be short):
Red Hood would keep his connection to Desmond a secret. All Bruce knows is that Jason was with the League for a while but Bruce also knows that Talia thinks of Jason as hers because he’s Bruce’s and Bruce was hers.
Among the Batfamily, Red Hood and Robin would definitely be the ones to easily team up with Desmond’s Brotherhood.
Cassandra Cain doesn’t become Batgirl or Black Bat in this one (or, if you want her to be part of the Batfamily, not yet). She’s raised by Desmond and has a better childhood this time around although… okay, it’s a better childhood compared to canon but it’s still an Assassin childhood. She’s loyal to Desmond and sees him as her father figure. Although, she’d also grow close to the Batfamily as they team up some times.
Among the Batfamily, it would be Tim Drake who would be more willing to go along the more ‘violent’ plans that Desmond’s Brotherhood may do. Tim Drake is also the one who advocates that it’s better for Desmond to lead the League.
Dick is the one totally against it and some would say that he has no plank to stand on considering he became a Robin to get revenge but Dick is past that entire thing. He doesn’t support Ra’s faction as well and he’s more on the side of, whichever wins, the world would take the fall. The others (Babs, Stephanie, Kate and Duke) are on the fence about this and are waiting on what Batman would do.
Desmond is quite amicable to a few of Batman’s Rogue gallery. Poison Ivy is one of his staunch supporters as their end goal tend to align most of the time. Because of this, Harley Quin likes to call him their ‘bestie from another screwed up family’. She also knows that something is ‘wrong’ with Desmond but she doesn’t pry because ‘that’s not what friends do!’
Desmond likes to loudly say that Catwoman is a better match for Batman just to annoy Talia. He does not necessarily ship Batman with either his sister or anybody else because of Batman’s (gestures to ALL of Bruce’s everything) but annoying Talia is a favorite past time of his.
I absolutely did not include non-Batman characters because then I’d be writing this for far too long than I should but he hates Lexcorp. It reminds him too much of Abstergo XD

Okay, ignoring cannon and ubisofts total neglect of Elijah. Here's something to think on.
Au where Desmond is active in Elijah's life, maybe after the whole temple and solar flare fiasco he survives, Bill thinks he's dead and he takes the opportunity to per say... retire. Someway somehow Desmond catches wind of his son, the (loving and healthy) banter they'd have would be gut clenching hilarious it'd make you sick from laughing hard.
Desmond: look kid I really need you to cut back on the attitude at the moment
Elijah being the damn near carbon copy of Desmond with twice the sass: for any malfunctions, questions, or complaints, please contact the manufacturer
All the ancestors somehow watching the banter from the sidelines, either laughing or shaking their heads: those are definitely our descendants
They would have an “Elijah, no!”/”Elijah, yes!” and “Dad, no!”/“Dad, yes!” dynamic and everyone who knows they’re father and son would be like “yeah, that tracks.”
You also know Desmond would be the kind of dad that would make dad jokes because he knows it annoys Elijah. The more Elijah looks like the world is conspiring to kill him with his cause of death being embarrassment, the more Desmond does it.
Plot-wise, this could happen while Desmond was trying to tie up loose ends on his side to make sure his ‘death’ is permanent to everyone involved.
This, of course, leads him to learn about Elijah thanks to a file in Abstergo’s database that connects Elijah to his own file so he deletes everything by physically destroying the servers that housed that specific database and then makes his way to find Elijah.
In this scenario, Desmond knew it would be too risky for Elijah and his mom to stay in New York when Abstergo already knows about them and he managed to get his…… Desmond doesn’t even know what to call her… friend? Ex-one-night-stand? Anyway, he managed to get thru to them and they all leave the US because it’s just simply too risky to stay in the country.
(And, as much as Desmond wants to go to Villa Auditore, that would be stupid).
So they go to a country that has minimal ties with his ancestors and sorta try to live like some kind of sitcom family but Desmond and Elijah’s mom have the romantic chemistry of a wet cardboard box so everyone who knows them knows they’re friends raising their son together. Desmond gets a bar and Elijah has a sorta normal school life.
Then Desmond notices Elijah’s smarter than he actually is but hiding it because they are trying to remain incognito.
“Sorry, kid. I know it’s hard pretending to be someone you’re not.”
“I’m not pretending. I don’t want people to know I’m smarter than all of them combined.”
“Okay, take it down a notch, Einstein.”
“Do you know what they think of the smart kids in school? It’s just a different kind of torture, being known as the smartest kid in a government-mandated prison. I’ll probably get pushed all over in the showers if they knew I know how to use all the chemicals in the science lab to build a bomb. ‘God’ forbid I drop my soap…”
“Oh my god.”
Really, Elijah and Desmond say a lot of stuff that gives them headaches but that’s how similar they are. Elijah also likes to stare at the people his parents date and go “good luck” before going back to his room.
And both of them know Elijah is just being a little shit to make the poor innocent ‘date’ paranoid as fuck.
And Desmond would have problems with how to talk to Elijah at the start, of course. He had missed a lot and it was just awkward between them.
Until he realized who Elijah acts like.
Always curious about everything and anything.
A sharp tongue with a habit of sarcastic and dry humor.
A genius who knows he’s a genius.
Oh god.
His son was a mini-Altaïr!
And that is how Desmond realized that the best way to get into Elijah’s skin is to be a loving dad who likes to tease his son.
And Elijah, as much as he pretends to be annoyed by it, actually leans in whenever Desmond ruffles his hair or hugs him.
Not that he was going to say anything about it though.
Nope.
Sidenote:
I kinda like the idea that Elijah’s personality is a mix of a young curious child with the arrogance of Aita. Being kidnapped and watching his mom die made him a quiet child that has anger issues. So this Elijah would be happier and much more polite. He’s only sarcastic when he’s annoyed or close to someone. Also, his first crush will be someone who can kick his ass and Desmond would just stare at him because… yeah, that tracks.
And, if we keep Desmond’s Bleeding Effect, Elijah could interact with his ancestors as well. Might even call them something like variations of ‘grandpa’. They usually try to pretend to be Desmond whenever Elijah’s mom is there but Elijah knows which is which by now.
Desmond knows about it and he can’t help but feel happy that his own son accepts even that part of him.

I have some headcanons for the MLP x AC crossover!
I think for the MLP x AC crossover, Desmond would be an alicorn like the princess ponies. I could see him with flowy hair like Celestia and with a similar cutie mark.
I could see Altaïr and Ezio being pegasus ponies with eagle wings. Altaïr would have a Hidden Blade or a book as his cutie mark because he searches for knowledge. Ezio would have the Auditore crest or an Eagle because of his loyalty to family.
I could see pony! Ezio, Altaïr, and Desmond having to team up to defeat Discord, who is likely the offspring of the Isu.
What's your opinion on these ideas?
@requiescat-in-pace-bastardo
The initial My Little Pony AU idea (well, Desmond's initial pony design anyway) for those curious.
I was thinking “yeah, I can’t draw that many ponies XD” and I remember I actually knew someone who could.
So here’s @scrysthea’s work based on nonny’s and my ideas.
Tumblr media
I included Ratonhnhaké:ton because if we’re going to make them ponies, let’s give the ‘complete set’ (sorry, Edward.)
I kinda like the idea that Desmond is a successor to their ‘ruler’ (whether this ruler is Amunet or an unknown pony is up to you) but he doesn’t like being the successor because everyone expect too much of him.
Altaïr, Ezio and Ratonhnhaké:ton are his childhood friends turned guards so there’s a bit of conflict there. Like, Desmond has been with them for so long that he trusts them fully but the countless times other ponies had seen him as not living up to the high standards they expect from a successor had shattered his self-esteem. He tries to hide it by smiling and ignoring it but there’s always a whisper in his mind that questions if they care for him because they like him or his ‘failures’ had made them think of him as more of a burden that needs to be protected because it’s their duty.
Of course, that could be farther from the truth and they had been the one to insist that they be Desmond’s guards, knowing how much their friend had suffered from the eyes of strangers who think of him as a successor, not a child being given too much burden.
I kinda like the idea that Desmond’s alicorn form is ‘hidden’ and the form I drew before with Desmond wearing a hoodie is what he usually looks like. His low self-esteem sorta hindered his growth and he wears a hood because he believes he has no horn (that’s not true. It’s just a bit too little right now).
And that’s why the ruler decided that Desmond should go on a quest!
“A quest to find the kind of ruler you wish to be.”
………. and also because Discord needs to be beaten again.
The ruler has complete trust that Desmond would succeed and find the path he wishes to take.
Desmond agrees because it wasn’t like he can actually say no to their ruler.
He also makes the ruler agree that, if Desmond loses to Discord or if he returns after defeating Discord but not knowing what kind of ruler he wants to become, the ruler must pick another successor. (he even gives the name of his guards as his replacement because, in his eyes, they’re better choices that he could ever be).
The ruler agrees and Desmond sets out on his quest with his guards (who didn’t know about the ‘deal’ he and the ruler have).
During their quests, they meet other ponies and, away from the scrutinizing eyes of the other ponies that was surrounding him growing up, Desmond slowly starts to realize that he does have what it takes to be the ruler.
Fighting Discord (maybe even go the cliché but still heart-string pulling setup of Desmond finally awakening into his alicorn form to protect his friends or because of his friends’ words of encouragement and defending Desmond from Discord preying on his insecurities during the heat of the moment) is the climax of the story and they win. Afterwards, they return to the ruler and…
This is the part where Desmond has to now choose.
To finally accept that he will be the next ruler or…
To say that he doesn’t want to be the next ruler and would rather travel the world, helping ponies in need (as well as a final fuck you to the ponies who had been ‘disappointed’ of him for years)

Thinking about those time travel/animal au’s, and now I’m thinking about Desmond as an emperor dragon from flight rising, (it’s basically a zombie/Frankenstein hydra, if u don’t know what it is) also maybe each head represents a different ancestor and the older the ancestor, the more decayed the head (example: Altair would be mostly skeletal with some mummified flesh, but des himself would be mostly intact except the bad burns.)
I feel like the official art from the wiki doesn’t do the concept justice so here’s a link to a fanart by @/pencilcat instead
It should also be noted that, this kind of emperor dragon should have at least four heads with different elements.
… wanna make it more fun?
We’ll go with the usual dragon!Desmond setup and he becomes pretty much the keeper of the Apple, growing close to Altaïr and even managing to change the past enough that the tragedy of the Ibn-La'Ahads does not come to pass. When Altaïr dies, he dies surrounded by family, having said his goodbye to Desmond beforehand. Desmond flies away, taking Altaïr’s Apple with him, to grieve his death and to celebrate the life he lived. Then… he starts getting this itch in on his neck. Like, it’s so itchy that he just starts scratching it.
Then his nails dug too deep and something starts gushing from the wound he just made. It looked… like whiteish fluids mixed with blood??? Like, it’s super gross and Desmond is going “Oh fuck! Oh shit! What the fuck!” because it’s still gushing.
Then…
Something starts moving underneath Desmond’s skin, wiggling and… ewewewewewew
Until something longer and larger than his head burst out of the wound, a loud piercing scream erupting from it that makes Desmond scream his head off in horror because this FEELS LIKE SOME HORROR SHIT WHAT THE FUCK!
Just when Desmond wondered if he was going be killed from the inside by a parasite, the thing shook the remaining white fluid and Desmond realized it was a dragon head, not the same as his but definitely dragon-shaped. The dragon head turned to look at him and blinked its golden eyes that Desmond recognized immediately.
Altaïr’s voice was full of confusion as he asked, “Desmond? Why… why am I still alive?”
Unorganized Notes:
Okay, I had to read this up in the wiki so please excuse me if I make any mistakes but each dragon head has a different ‘element’ which I am assuming is connected to their ‘flight’. As such, their elements would be the following:
Altaïr: It was a toss-up between Light and Arcane to be honest because Arcane is curious dragons who like to know the unknown while Light is the most scholarly and holds the pursuit of the truth. In the end, the fact that Light Dragons have golden eyes made me choose Light Dragon for Altaïr.
Ezio: Ezio would probably be Earth as he is the most ‘stable’ of the four, creating a legend that last ages. But Nature is also a good fit to show how Ezio truly thrived as a nurturer during his time as the mentor of the Italian Brotherhood.
Ratonhnhaké:ton: I think Lightning would be a good fit for Ratonhnhaké:ton, especially when we remember how he refuses to compromise the way people wish him to. He wants to change the world and, really, everything he did had an impact that everyone had to adapt to.
Desmond: Honestly, Desmond was meant to have the light flight but, since I gave that to Altaïr, Desmond is now the Arcane dragon, because of how Arcane dragons pursue their dreams, often oblivious to the effects of their actions which works well with Desmond’s mission to give his ancestors a better fate without thinking of the butterfly effect (or not caring)
Possible dragon head candidates: Edward (Wind - carefree and free), Haytham (Ice maybe? Shadow would have been a good candidate but Haytham isn’t fickle and Plague would have worked to show how the tragedy of his past shaped him but he's not savage enough to fight those like him)
The idea is that they’re an immortal dragon that sorta becomes a legend among the Assassins and Templars.
This would also have them meet Arno and the Frye twins, acting like their guides… contradicting guides at times but guides nonetheless.
They are also the guardians (hoarders) of POEs. And really, it’s a bad idea to try and get the POEs they guard.
They do start to decay the ‘older’ they get (except Desmond) but, for some reason, they never end up becoming fully skeletal which is weird. Underneath their skin are lightly glowing lines that matches the lines of the Isus so definitely Isu BS.

From the other fics I read where Desmond ends up in the past he doesn't have modern things anymore and living like that is hard so I propose an au where Desmond ends up in the past but he can get anything from the modern era but he has to pay for it, kinda like the anime Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill
Sooooo… Desmond gets pay-to-win mechanics when he gets transferred into the past?
You know what would be funny, nonny, in a ‘let’s-mess-with-desmond-tehe-(・ω<)☆’ kind of way? He can get anything from the modern era, NAY, he can get anything from aannnnyy era BUT the caveat is…
He has to get them thru gacha mechanics/loot boxes!
There is never a guarantee that Desmond would get what he wants! There is no “okay, you already rolled 300 times so just pick one from this list because, holy shit, your RNG fucks ass, what the fuck” or even a ‘pity rolls’ mechanic where SSR(s) get higher % when you roll 90 times already.
No, no.
Desmond needs to face the gacha system head-on. The only pity mechanic it has is that it does sorta listen to Desmond whenever he wants something.
For example:
Desmond: I could really use a cellphone right now with internet access.
Gacha Mechanics: Understood. Setting up banner for cellular phones. Banner setup complete. Would you like to roll?
Desmond: Sure.
70 rolls later and no more Isu shards left, Desmond finally gets a goddamn cellphone (SSR!) after 47 toy cellphones, 12 fucking DynaTAC (what the fuck), and 10 goddamn old Nokia phones which have snake but no way to connect to the internet…
Then he finds out this phone doesn’t have a sim so it doesn’t have any ‘data’ to connect to a magical internet in the first place.
So the Gacha Mechanics go, “Would you like to set up a wi-fi Banner?”
And Desmond almost crushes the cell phone in his hand before turning to shout at his ancestor, “We’re going Shard grinding!”
“Again?”
“Yes, again!”
Wanna make it more annoying? The way to gain Isu shards is the same setup to gain DNA cubes from Assassin’s Creed Rebellion. And those ads you can play to get free stuff? Yeaaahhh, that one will only show ads of Abstergo products just to fuck with Desmond.
At this point, it’s probably easier (and better for Desmond’s mental health) if he just ignores the gacha mechanics and do whatever he wants in the past using what he can find in the past XD
If it’s not yet clear that I do not like gacha mechanics/loot boxes, here’s an ask where Desmond gets screwed up by gacha mechanics.

So all this stuff about Desmond having the highest concentration of ISU DNA (I'm to ignore everything Ubisoft says about this after AC3) and Minerva's plan with Des as the "prophet" in the calculations leads me to think these AU :
1 - Desmond can't die in any way, from any damage at any stage of his life before the temple as a very screwed life insurance programmed by ISU (Minerva, probably), either by being the last one with that amount of ISU DNA in his body or to avoid any setback in the temple
2 - Desmond's body begins to gradually mutate to adapt to what will be his destiny in the temple but slowly he becomes more ISU than human, no one notices at first, there are signs of course (the bleeding probably doesn't hurt anymore) but everyone is too busy to notice, and Desmond is the only one who is aware that something is seriously wrong with his body (which leads him to survive the temple)
Lol. Well, you can borrow my usual go-to “I reject canon and substitute my own” and turn Desmond’s canon 0.952% Isu genes to 9.52%.
As for the prophet thing, Ezio is the ‘prophet’. To be more exact, he’s Desmond’s prophet so… in this religious-heavy symbolism/metaphor, Ezio is the prophet to Desmond’s messiah.
So… in a way, Desmond is actually higher than a prophet XD
Idea 1:
An argument could be said that this is sorta canon. The Isus picked a specific Desmond who would do all the necessary events (run away from home, be a bartender, get a motorcycle license, get abducted by Abstergo) and, if we think of this chosen Calculation as a specific branch of a large (glowing) tree, it’s directly tied to Desmond’s lifeline and is still growing ever so slightly. There will be smaller branches but these are all alternate branches (ex: instead of going to New York, he goes to Washington DC) that will either break off (too many deviations from the main calculations, creating a new timeline) or it would die out (Desmond dies in the end of this branch). The story we follow is the main branch and it continues on as long as Desmond lives. So this is less of the Isus creating an insurance program to make sure he lives thru and more that the Isus have ensured that the path Desmond walked would keep him alive.
However… if we set up a life insurance program that ensures Desmond survives no matter what (and can only be overridden by Isu orders), then we have three ways to make this happen:
1) Desmond receives a specific item that facilitates this.
In this idea, Desmond would receive this item early in life, maybe by the time he was born or when he was quite young. A family heirloom perhaps? Maybe a piece of jewelry like an earring from his mother that is said to be passed down to generations, a ‘wish of good fortune and long life’. The important part is that this item must be small enough that Desmond doesn’t mind carrying it all the time and attached to a part of his body (or he’s wearing it) that can’t be easily taken off by others (and maybe even Desmond). This item will be dormant until it scans Desmond’s DNA and the main idea is that it analyzes everything at a specific radius from Desmond, using its connection to the Calculations to remove any threats that have an 80% chance of killing or severely crippling Desmond. Training doesn’t count because it won’t kill him nor cripple him… physically anyway. This one would be the easiest to ‘combat’. All Desmond has to do is find what item is causing him to be sorta immortal and take it off, maybe even destroy it.
2) Devices are activated when Desmond is in the vicinity.
In this idea, we take the primary capability of the item in 1 and make the devices be stationed in specific locations that only activate if Desmond is in their range. These devices could be in temples and vaults, any Isu-related locations, and maybe some of them had already been taken by Abstergo but they remained dormant until they noticed that Desmond is in their range. Desmond’s life in New York has been guaranteed because he’s in the range of the Grand Temple. His life in Italy was also a guarantee because of the vault in the Vatican and Rome. This device can be something inconspicuous like a simple pillar in the vault/temple that only glows when Desmond is in its range. Or… it could be POEs in general. (Or both? The POEs themselves have a smaller range than the actual devices but they operate the same way)
3) The live preserving program is encoded into Desmond’s DNA itself.
Okay, this is the fun one and also the one that would give us yummy angst material. So, long story short, the Isus added a little bit of genetic manipulation to Desmond’s DNA that ensures that he will live no matter what.
My first choice is that this specific gene came from Altaïr’s side because we have no idea who most of his descendants are so we will have an easier time in ensuring this genetic manipulation will stay a secret until it’s passed on to Desmond but explaining how the gene got to his ancestor is more believable with Ezio since Minerva could have added it to his genes when they talked. Of course, we can just add the gene in Altaïr’s side thanks to the trusty lack of information about Umar’s origins (also, ‘son of no one’ implies he’s an orphan which means we can play with his background a lot).
Regardless of how Desmond got the gene, what it does is (and I definitely got this idea from Code Geass XD) that it uses the Calculations to check the possibility of Desmond dying. Anything at 97% or higher would activate this gene and control Desmond to ensure his safety above all else, even if it means either running away or doing something that would harm others, without any thoughts of the collateral damage. The ancestor he received this from also has this to a lesser degree to ensure they pass it to him (Altaïr: withstanding Al Mualim’s use of the power thru sheer willpower or, if we’re going for Ezio instead, Ratonhnhaké:ton finding the strength to kill Haytham at the end… perhaps the gene in Haytham has been disabled the moment Ratonhnhaké:ton has been born).
I say this would give us angst potential because this one is the most invasive. Desmond might start to think he’s a selfish person for prioritizing his life or he might think he’s going crazy because there are times when it feels like he’s another person for a few brief moments. Then he starts using the Animus and the Bleeding Effect starts messing him up even further…
Idea 2:
Oh, oh, oh! This is very similar to my and @fanworldbuildingfun’s idea a while back concerning how the Animus was slowly turning him into an Isu so maybe check that out if that interests you (it starts out with us giving more Isu backstory and then Desmond becoming an Isu gets slipped in)? In a nutshell, the usual route to change Desmond into an Isu is to make him start being ‘converted’ once he gets the Apple (maybe even point out that it starts with Minerva touching the Apple because we don’t really get a reason why she did that, although I do have an “It could be a verification thing?” headcanon for that XD) BUT the more interesting idea is that his conversion started once he’s been forced into the Animus because the Animus’ foundation is created from something Abstergo got from the Apple which might possibly be a POE. The Animus reads DNA for genetic memories but what if the device it’s based on can do more than that? Add in his high Isu genes and constant usage of the Animus and Desmond really had no escape for this one.

What's your stance on what-if-character-x-was-evil AUs? Asking because when Kassandra showed up before Layla in the flesh my brain went "...and she clearly works for Abstergo."
While I admit I didn’t think Kassandra would be part of Abstergo when I saw her appear at the end of Odyssey’s main game, I do think it would be fun to think about how she would have ended up as a member of Abstergo.
Also, what idea we can throw into the wall into how she would have ended up as part of the Inner Sanctum of the Templar Order? XD
Hell. I know the Inner Sanctum is the highest members of the Templar Order but I kinda like the idea that Kassandra would be above them, sorta like the true Grand Master and shadow head of the Templar Order.
That would have been a fun twist to explore…
Although, in terms of Odyssey the game, it would have been a twist ending that would have polarized the players and the DLCs have to work hard to make that twist believable.
In fanworks and AU ideas? Go wild, everyone.
Now, let’s talk in a more general way about how we can implement ‘what-if-character-x-was-evil’ AU ideas in Assassin’s Creed:
The easiest way to do this is to make their backstory different (for example: (1) when Desmond left the Farm, Vidic found him early on and became a father figure that manipulated him into hating the Assassins or (2) Al Mualim’s indoctrination of Altaïr dug deeper than it did in AC1 and he grew up completely loyal to Al Mualim to the point of joining the Templar Order himself with his ‘father’ or (3) Arno is raised by Bellec himself so he’s absolutely one hundred percent a willing accomplice to all of Bellec’s plans and hates the Templars for killing his father to the point that he doesn’t believe the Assassins and Templars can co-exist)
A fun way to do this is to corrupt the characters themselves. This could end in two different main categories:
They are corrupted by the POE and this could be (1) full-blown ‘power corrupts even the best of us’ type or (2) 'I will do these unforgivable sins because the alternative pushed by the Calculations will bring about a fate worse than death to the world and those I care about, this is my sin to bear alone' route. (3) There's also a combination of (1) and (2) that I like to call the N-route of "Have I not suffered enough? Do I not deserve my own happiness even if it means the suffering of others?!".
This one is my favorite because I love fucking with Desmond using the Bleeding Effect: it is not the characters who become corrupted but their digital avatar in the Animus. Either because Abstergo skimmed on QA or this is truly a bug in the Animus that they didn’t think would happen because all that reading of the POE’s corruptive powers messed with the Animus itself and that corrupted versions of the Assassins? That’s the one that appears in the Bleeding Effect. Just imagine Desmond having corrupted versions of his ancestors whispering to him, slowly driving him mad all the while giving him the attention and kindness he didn’t receive as a child. And Desmond would be weak to their whispers because he believes he knows them, had relived their lives… and the corrupted versions know they need Desmond on their side.

Having seen the Yew Branch ask - how do you think the following would go? Desmond is reborn as Aya of Alexandria. How much would that impact the foundation of Hidden Ones? Would they still be a pair with Bayek? (I mean. I hope. Let Desmond be loved). Does Khemu survive? (I mean. Think if Al Muslim's daughter!Desmond AU but post birth - I would love to see them kill try and Khemu) Does *Order*, Cesar and Cleopatra survive?
So let’s talk about how Desmond is gonna fuck the creation of the Hidden Ones so badly by being reborn as Aya of Alexandria.
Let’s remember that Desmond has no idea how important Aya is meant to be in the history of the Hidden Ones/Assassins. Hell, she doesn’t even know that this is the time period where the Hidden Ones would be created.
She would still end up in Siwa though because her parent are busy and Desmond is a menace as a child, disappearing for hours and reappearing like nothing is wrong at all. No one would think to be suspicious of her being in the same vicinity as certain bad people die or get caught but her parents would be scared that she’ll find herself in the middle of it and get hurt or worse so they send her to Siwa to live with her aunt.
There she would meet Bayek and… they’ll get along quite fast, actually. Bayek would be interested by how ‘unique’ Desmond was. He had never seen a girl like her before.
Desmond would see Bayek as someone with the potential to be an Assassin and they’d just… play. Sorta. Playing with Desmond means learning how to be an Assassin without knowing you’re being trained to be an Assassin.
Desmond… didn’t plan to fall in love with Bayek. He certainly didn’t plan to accidentally teach the children of Siwa how to Assassins. He was just… bored. Siwa was peaceful and hunting for sports was never something he could ever do so… he got bored and played with the kids without thinking too deeply of how easy it is to train kids using tag and hide-and-seek.
By the time Bayek becomes a Medjay (and the whole drama with his father is also over), Desmond pretty much has an unofficial Assassin bureau setup in Siwa with a few unofficial Assassins (including Tahira and Khenza). They’re not Medjays but they’re close allies enough.
During that time, Desmond and Bayek also fall in love and marry (because there’s no way Desmond would ever be immune to Bayek’s charm, come on). They’d have a child as well. Although… Khemu’s not gonna be called Khemu, I think. He’d have a bird motif name because Desmond can’t help himself.
Khemu would also be sneakier and much more used to defending himself. He’d still be a kind and dutiful son but he’ll also have a mischievous streak that definitely came from Desmond. Also, he’s learning to speak English, Arabic and Kanien'kéha. He and Desmond speak in those languages when they don’t want others to understand them. Bayek also learned some of them because he likes hearing Desmond speak in those languages.
Khemu lives, no doubt, but let’s make it more dramatic and complicated. Khemu is technically the child of Desmond Miles even if she’s been reborn as Aya of Alexandria so Khemu’s genes are a bit… wonky. Not Elijah-Sage wonky but the current time period giving a greater Isu-to-human gene ratio + Desmond being reborn as a descendant of Kassandra who, depending on when you play the DLCs, has a body that could have already been fucked by Isu BS thanks to her Aletheia haunted spear/staff certainly makes Khemu’s genes an anomaly.
That the Apple of Eden reacts to.
So instead of killing Khemu, he’s kidnapped while Desmond was away in Alexandria, taking care of her parents’ estates and belongings (this is where she will also find Darius’ Hidden Blade)
And that is how Bayek’s path of revenge turns to both Desmond and Bayek traveling to find their son.
Along the way, Desmond says ‘fuck it’ to the timeline and creates the Hidden Ones…
Although… she names it the ‘Assassin Brotherhood’ because she has no idea about the true history of the Hidden Ones so yeah… Desmond is gonna bypass the Hidden Ones and go straight to developing the Levantine + Italian + Colonial Brotherhood in Egypt.
Khemu manages to escape all on his own and runs away, looking for his parents. At this point, he would have an Eagle Vision (although Bayek would rely on Senu still) that will help him find his parents.
Everything comes to a head when Cesar and Cleopatra do their whole ‘save Egypt’ thing and Khemu reunites with his parents there as well during all the destruction.
Desmond is never gonna take the name Amunet. For one, she will never be BFFs with Cleopatra and she will not have the whole “Aya is dead, only Amunet remains” kind of character develop Aya had. She’ll be calling herself Desmond very early on anyway.
Desmond would take the mantle of mentor and would be the one to assassinate Cleopatra because she becomes a threat to Egypt’s freedom as well as Cesar. Of course, since Desmond knows how Cesar dies (as a meme though XD), she does assassinate Cesar the same way Aya did in the game.
If you do want to include the Curse of Pharaohs DLC, Desmond’s entire demeanor is “Nope, not going to fucking deal with this Isu BS. Bayek, you go take those ghostly things. Imma cheat and use my Eagle Vision to find where the POE is.”
