design notes:

(notes written here again for better reading) - horns are vaguely shaped like the hyrule crest - she has feathers and markings on the nose to reference owls - green mouth to switch the colors around (and neat contrast), bc gan has a blue mouth, zelda now has green, and if link ever was a dragon hed have it red -markings on the head feathers are a reference to the lil things satori and rumi (blupee?) have on their head

Callum and Aaravos official designs for my modern AU: New York mages. I'd like to think they both have some very specific fashion choices. Callum with his artsy traditional cloud aesthetics and Aaravos with his seemingly simple yet elegant punk-sque(?) style. They kinda look super cute together in my opinion. Hope you guys like it. Initial concepts and brief introductions are here if you haven't seen them already. They're just basically modern detective mages with both having normal occupations on the side. Cally be living that eventful college student life haha

is it practical in combat? no.

does it look sick and cool as heck? yes.

can I draw this again with relative ease? yes.

if all the characters look prepared for militaristic combat then what is the point? there's no pizzazz, no flair, no FLAVOR. :(

gotta make the characters look COOL. make them REALLY fit their overall aesthetic and theming!!
