#testing my fucking patience!#they’re either late to their shifts; don’t show up without announcing it; come in an hour early so i lose an entiee hour off my paycheck and#they never do their fucking chores. one day i am going to severely bite one of them#it’s the second time in a week that two of my coworkers (they’re siblings) come in way too early and take money off my pay so today i told#the girl to fuck off somewhere because i wasn’t done with my damn shift#her older brother fully came in AN HOUR earlier last week without asking me first. he made me leave lmao#next time he’s gonna fuck off somewhere else too#sorry for the rant but i am Very Pissed#same girl fully just didn’t show up for her shift last week because it was her birthday but she didn’t warn anyone or have someone cover her#shift and she LEFT MY BOSS ON READ WHEN MY BOSS TEXTED HER. and so my other coworker had to do a TEN HOUR SHIFT cause the teenage girl#decided she wasn’t coming in#didn’t even ask for a day off lmfao just fully didn’t show up and left everyone on read#but then again what do i even expect from a 14 year old girl and a 17 year old boy#one of my other coworkers is a 16 y/o boy and he fully didn’t show up one time too and forced me to do his shift lmfao

it’s 3am so watch me commiserate over this clip that’s been living in my head rent free for months now and making me sad once again after recent events
that feeling of it being just dapper and q!bad against the world returns once again
“i’m the only one who can watch you”
it’s the fact that the guy that would sacrifice eveything for any of the kids to stay safe, no matter how much strife or hatred or nasty words any of the parents could throw at him, is the one who feels like he has no one watching out for his own but himself. dapper is only an afterthought to the others. someone to remember only after all the terrible things have already happened. of course the halo family has others who they trust, but over and over again it’s shown that there’s a reason why q!bad is basically dapper’s whole world and why dapper is his sunshine
this is isn’t something new. they’ve both always shared this sentiment. dapper, the sole escapee off egg island, having only his dad at his side as they ran to that boat. and more recently, no one making sure dapper could ride out on the train with the rest of the islanders and eggs into the new server when they left that library
they “left me behind” and “just forgot me”
thankfully q!etoiles started to run back, but the fact that no one checked in the first place, that it seemed like q!etoiles was really the only one to notice even though plenty of others saw that dapper was online and around. q!bad is the only one who’s ever had dapper as priority number one in anything
that poor kid said it herself, she thinks she’s not one of the favorites. he thinks the others will be prioritized first. and they’re unfortunately likely right about that unless it comes to their dad
so the mantra continues; it’s simply dapper and q!bad against the world, to have each others backs, to live and die for each other

I have the single player raised by villa-#-gers for years and years cuz his mom dropped him off in the single player world when Scar wasn’t conscidered a player yet since he was an-#-infant cuz it was a teen pregnancy and she was too scared to tell anyone so she just dropped him off with the villagers never to be seen#again. and since it was technically HER single player world when Scar DID grow up old enough to be recognized as a player he couldn’t#access any of the 'exit world' stuff or anything like that since it wasn’t his world#and then like a watcher or smth pulled him out of it so that Scar could be put through the horrors of gun related things for experimentstuff#and then there’s the backstory of where scar IS a watcher. like not a person turned watcher he was BORN (if you could say that) a watcher#and like the other watchers wanted to do an experiment of basically 'could a watcher if stripped of its memories and placed in a people-#-world be able to produce its own feelings and emotions?' and so they did that to Scar but they didn’t place him there as a baby no. they#placed him there as a full grown man so bros even more confused. and when the life series stuff started he had exactly one ☝️ dream per#Series and it was tiny little snippets of his watcher self but he didn’t know that it’s him but like he felt a strange pull towards these#dreams so that’s basically the reason why he kept coming back to the life games even tho they hurt him deeply as we all know#and then when he won secret life the secret keeper asked him what his wish was now that he’s won and he didn’t ask to know who he was and#where he came from (since he just appeared one day as a full grown man with no identification) since he’s made peace with that maybe it is#better not to know. so instead he asked abt the dreams he always has in these series and wth their abt and the context and stuff#and then BAM the secret keeper just drops all that information on him and he has an identity crises :D#anyways. i had SUCH a good time at the concert genuinely it was such a good show the band were really good but ofc there was an annoying man when i was getting drinks he was at the bar and kept calling me honey like CONSTANTLY and borderline aggressively so i told him that’s not my name. and i was getting drinks for me and some of my girls too and this guy was like ‘no i’m paying’ to the bartender and the bartender wouldn’t take my money even when i insisted OOOOH girls when i tell you the feeling i got from this bartender guy listening to this random FUCKING man over ME (the person ordering). i looked him dead in the eye and asked “who ordered? me or him?” and he was like “ok ok sorry” and lifted his hands like in a surrender motion and took my money finally. dude it is SO fucking DIRE being a woman

The Great Notes App Exodus: Gothic Dragons
Gotham has always been protected by a Dragon, even before it was ever Gotham.
There was a way about the land Gotham stood upon, that was all twisted magics and darkness and feral energy that never quite fit in man’s modern world. America had but one Guardian Dragon - except for Gotham, which was near a law and country unto itself.
Gotham was a sanctuary for the supernatural, but it was not kind. Those non-humans who risked its dark streets were the brave, or the foolish, or the terribly desperate. Gotham was a dark city, and it’s people adapted or were driven out.
(But should a threat ever come for her, all of Gotham would rise up in response.)
So Gotham had its own Guardian, but the Dragon guarded the world outside from Gotham’s brutality just as much as it shielded Gotham from those that would rend her apart.
But, of course, Dragons were only so many, and new blood must be brought in - human blood, as it often was, and so the trend of Dragon blood “skipping” a generation emerged.
And the bloodline of the Guardian Dragons of Gotham withered, bit by bit, because it is far easier to kill a human of dragon blood than it is to kill a Dragon of human descent.
(And Bruce Wayne has never hated this truth of the world more - because his parents had been Skipped, human, and if they had been dragons, they’d still be there with him.
But they weren’t.
It was just Bruce, a fledgling Dragon, and the butler left to care for him.)

Although Gotham had only ever had one Guardian Dragon, it had at one time had a whole lineage of Dragons capable of taking up the mantle. As the Dragons intermarried, however, more and more lines broke off with human kin, occasionally producing dragons.
But the Guardian Line had been reduced to one untrained hatchling. And that hatchling didn’t much care if it was a Dragon or a dragon that was Guardian of the city, just that there was someone to Guard it.
The problem is, of course, that the hatchling needs training - but he cannot get that in Gotham.
So he leaves.
He comes back ready to pull his city back from the brink, by force if (when) necessary.
Here’s the thing - Bruce is no Dragon, because for all that he is the last of the Guardian line he doesn’t adhere to the rules of that duty.
A Guardian’s duty is to the supernatural beings they protect.
Bruce has already decided that that is not enough. Human or Magical Being, if no one else will step in, then he will.
Bruce might have been the Gotham Dragon, but that didn’t mean he was the only dragon in the city.
The thing about dragon blood is that it tended to turn up dragons unexpectedly in families that had been mostly human. A dragon ancestor could have human children, and their children have human children, and then a dragon. It was a recessive trait when introduced into human bloodlines, and especially if it was paired with yet more human lines, but it also was tellingly stubborn - a human may only have a single draconian ancestor hundreds of years back, but they could still unexpectedly turn up a dragon hatchling.
It was just sheer dumb luck that a bunch of said unexpected hatchlings turned up within the span of the same generation.

Hey! I hope this is OK to ask but you’re the only person so far I have seen who mentioned the teeth in Gideon/Kiriona’s chest, so I figured I’d ask if you know what’s up with that? I was pretty confused about that, but I might have missed something at some point
hi anon! yeah so as I understand it there are two possible interpretations:
1) teeth is meant figuratively and the “teeth” are Gideon’s ribs, which is what I initially thought it meant
2) teeth is meant literally.
Now typically when we see teeth in the wrong places it’s part of the horror, sure, but more importantly it’s a hallmark of the devouring empire and John’s power (just look at the roses!). Ergo we have even more reason to believe that John altered Gideon in some way. He didn’t just make her a revenant or make it so no one can take her blood, he literally messed with her body. She’s even more of a weapon now. It’s also very symbolic, the demands of the empire literally devoured her heart 💔
