Summary:

Dean Winchester was a living-legend; a threat mothers scared their pups with if they misbehaved, undisputed king of the seas: the most dangerous alpha-pirate to exist. Dean lived by food, blood, and sex. And nothing could ever change that, until one fine night, when one, cheeky little omega dancer stole his heart away for once and evermore, and right then was when Dean Winchester was truly, deeply gone. From a lustful heathen to a gentle romantic, it was love at first sight. Not to mention the tempting curves, the sinful voice, and that aprhrodisiac of a scent that drove Dean wild to no extent.

But Castiel wasn't your ordinary prostitue. Not by the tiniest chance.

Castiel was a living-legend; a threat people scared alphas with. Known to be the chief of the most wicked, clever, and underground bandit-gang whose mission was to rid the world of useless, abusive, brutish alphas.

Castiel cannot love Dean; he isn't allowed to.

at long last, my fic for this year's DCBB is up and running! i feel like i say this about everything i write, but this piece is a true labor of love. this story really wanted to be told, and i am so grateful it chose me to tell it. i want nothing but endless happiness for this Dean and Cas. i'm already so in love with these idiots but this story made me love them even more.

Welcome to the first of my three (yes three: two art, one writing) collaborations for the @deancasbigbang this year!

I’m so glad I got to work on the art for this story. It’s wonderfully magical and dreamy and allowed me the opportunity to envision a truly beautiful and peace-filled, post-retirement world for Dean & Cas—and it was my first time drawing young John Winchester as well (yes, that was a last-minute piece after getting to see The Winchesters last Tuesday.)

Working with Matt was a great experience, too, helping to guide some of my ideas and just letting me go a little crazy with the rest :) Thank you for the story that gave me such inspiration and so many visuals I wanted to try to capture.

There were a lot of different references and visual elements thrown together for these pieces, especially Cas in his garden and Dean in his art studio. Some I pulled out of my imagination and personal reference images, some from stock photos, others from some very...eye-opening google searches around “World Naked Gardening Day.” I love sunflowers and with the mentions of them in Dean and Cas’s garden, their symbolism tied to devotion, loyalty and peace, I tried to include them as much as I could in these art pieces as well.

Re-sharing this piece from my art masterpost for “well, my past, your future. begs the question, am I haunting you or are you haunting me?” by @mattzerella-sticks for the deancasbigbang. After watching the first episode of The Winchesters I really wanted to do a piece for John as he appeared to Dean & Cas in the story, and I finally had some decent references to work from. (Drake has a wonderful face & profile and I expect I’ll be doing more art of his John in the future!)
