okay so silas knew that gideon was a fake cavalier from day one. he knew ortus had died and that gideon was a serf of the ninth sent in his stead. but silas chooses to hold on to that information until act four! meanwhile he openly calls palamedes an unfinished inbred and camilla a mad dog with an illegitimate claim to the title of cavalier primary. silas says nothing about gideon until hes speaking to her in private. interesting!

This semi-mild cold has been an annoying start to this week 🤧😪

the thing about grief is everyone’s like “it’ll never get smaller but you’ll grow around it” and yeah that’s true. i definitely have grown around my grief and it’s not constantly all-consuming anymore. but it hasn’t gotten smaller, and i don’t think people realise what that means. i think people figure it’ll feel smaller because they did grow around it, but it just means that it’s on the back of your mind now instead of at the forefront. you can do things and live your life without constantly only thinking of your grief. but sometimes it will also make itself known and the sheer enormity of your grief will overwhelm you because ultimately it’s the same size as the day it arrived

#as always with my grief posting. i’m ok. i just have a hard time around winter and february especially #today is my birthday. the day after tomorrow is when my dad died #it’s not a good combination and it makes me a bit varied emotionally #this is the first year i can’t be with my family for the anniversary of his passing so it’s just hitting extra hard right now #also his yarzheit was yesterday. so.#dead dad club #grief #vent tw #yall can rb this btw

Well. Not new. I’ve had Grey for a while but never got around to making their introduction LMAO but here we go!! They’re probably my favourite oc besides Step ofc. They’re my beloved little guy (gender neutral). But yes here’s Grey’s playlist!! It’s actually. Very motivational in my opinion; I listen to it when I run teehee

Lore beneath the cut (for anyone interested!!)

I have. No idea where to start LMAO but I’ll try to make this short and concise for everyone’s sanity. Might make a more cohesive version later. Here goes:

Grey was built as an early generation two iterator, the second oldest in their local group. Their initial name was Solace in Absolution, or just Solace for short. Their local group goes as follows, from oldest to youngest:

“Wander”ing Asunder - he/him - late 1st generation

“Solace” in Absolution - they/them - early 2nd generation

Disruption of “Clarity” - he/they/vir - mid 3rd generation*

“Drift”ing Petals - he/him - late 3rd generation*

Clear Golden “Sky” - she/it/they - mid 4th generation

*Clarity and Drift had their projects started at the same time, but Drift’s took longer to complete due to the rough terrain and bitterly cold tundras surrounding their can.

Solace was never well acquainted with their local group and was appointed as an honorary group senior because of Wander’s inability to lead. They never really clicked with their group either due to their cold pessimism.

They never really liked the ancients due to their admins, (guy #1, whom I haven’t named yet) and Effervescent’s combined efforts to make them feel like Shit™ !!

After a while, the desire to just up and leave became unbearable.

However, another member of their High Council named Paradox (design still pending) saw their laments in a pearl, took pity on them, and gave them pirated instructions on how to go off the string, basically.

Idk, don’t ask me how that works because I’ve got No Idea.

While the ancients are still around, Solace… Doesn’t really know what to do with it. They just kind of modify the blueprints a little more to their desire. (And yes, those claws are just as sharp as they appear to be.)

When the ancients dipped, they saw their chance and decided to leave!! But not before they have a spat with the entirety of their local group and get their seniority status revoked lol. But they’ve left now and there’s no going back. And. Well.

In hindsight, this was a terrible decision for everyone involved.

Immediately after their departure from their can, they are attacked by another iterator. They’re nearly killed before a patrol of scavengers take notice, and a particular scavenger named Lindel saves them and chases the other iterator off! Unfortunately this event also just cements their hate of other iterators outside their local group :(

They join the scavenger patrol and are adopted + named Grey by the scavengers!! Wahoo!!

(The art here is a little outdated but the lore is still applicable!)

The scavengers teach them how to make bombs and sharpen rebar to make spears, and, in turn, Grey teaches them how to make electric spears, flashbangs, and singularity bombs from the rarefaction cells of killed iterators :) friendship yippee!!

And. Yeah! That’s what I got so far :) One more thing…

The Daniel Ricciardo show at Silverstone 2017

Daniel got knocked out in Q1 after suffering a turbo failure in Qualifying. He would start the race in 19th and charge his way through the field to finish 5th.

Ricciardo was putting in the hard miles with the drive of the day in his wake. Not only that but he had to do the job almost twice over. An early charge up the field to 12th was wasted when he went wide and dropped once again back to 18th. He duly set about the task again and pulled off move after move, displaying the commitment and judgment in overtaking that has proved so exciting. Points might have been the target but by the time he dealt with the Force India cars of Esteban Ocon and Sergio Pérez, the Australian had made it clear he was not satisfied with scraping into the top 10. (x)

#thank you to the YouTube algorithm for recommending this in time for the Silverstone weekend #it’s just frustrating to see the constant revisionism of Daniel’s career whether at redbull or Renault #he was pulling drives like this when he never once had a championship winning car #just imagine how much more impressive his stats from his redbull days would have been if that car wasn’t constantly breaking apart on him #this man was already in the points by lap 19 when the car wasn’t anywhere near the rocketship it is today #and then you have checo missing q3 thru his own mistakes and having people fucking applaud him for making it onto the podium #in the car of today #when Daniel used to pull drives like this constantly #case in point monza 2017 where Daniel qualified p3 but then dropped to p16 after a grid penalty and he’d proceed to finish p4 #with him closing the gap to seb in p3 #and people have the guts to question why many others consider him to be the best rb driver after seb and max
